Negative experience: This company is the most GAS lighting ive seen yet on only day one of signing the lease. We had maybe less than 10 mins of getting to view the house beforehand, do to them showing us so many properties that were all in poor condition the office has a cut off time to do any paperwork before 3pm. They tried covering up the fact that theres a CLEAR roach infestation we have found Dead and LIVE Roaches the place even smells like Roaches. Causing health issues as well as having an infant living in the home is not legal. And This is how they treat their military service Members! we wanted no issues. SMH maybe if they reconcile the situation ill update my review. Update they haven’t fixed anything instead you’re on here leaving BS responses to reviews. How about instead of lying in responses actually work on fixing these properties.

Negative experience: UPDATE: So we went back to our home state for Christmas and got a cashier's check for rent through March. Walked the physical check in and got an emailed receipt on December 30th. Today they charged us late fees for January rent and pet fees. Maybe the failed online payment was their fault to begin with, as they can't process a check properly. Still can't wait till my house is finished being built. .Can't wait till our lease is up with this company. So glad our house will be built soon and we don't have to deal with this horrible company. The property we rent still has trash from construction on the back porch that we reported in October, they say someone will reach out but they don't. Be prepared to only be able to pay with cashier's check or money order.

Negative experience: This place deserves 0 stars. My brother and i have lived here for quite some time now and the the new management is absolutely HORRIBLE!! Always take pictures on move in day bc they will charge you for their mistakes! Also Latashia outlaw needs another line of work she is not fit to be in the position she’s in Mentally and it shows. Just check out how she responds in comments , emails and over the phone. She has 0 professionalism; She uses every opportunity as a clap back an a chance to express her hateful behavior instead of a learning opportunity or a chance to FIX things. Furthermore We have put in multiple maintenance requests and majority of them get ignored, pushed back or magically lost ( apparently no history of them ) My brother always ends up fixing the problem his self so why pay rent? Not to mention the piles of trash outside of tenants housing . It’s nothing how it was when we first moved here it’s way dirtier. There are supposed to be assigned parking yet people from across the street park right in front of my door daily causing me to have to walk further. THEY DO NOT TREAT TENANTS AS TENANTS we are treated like the money we give them and I’ve been here to long to not have build sometime or relationship or respect with management. Everyone seems to hate their job and that’s why this place has the ratings that they have.

Fantastic experience: Renting from Cherokee is the absolute BEST experience I’ve ever had! I am beyond thankful for Dee, and the entire team! They go above and beyond to make sure everything goes smooth and to accommodate all of your needs in a timely manner. They’re kind; respectful, and they genuinely care about their residents. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t be living in the home of my dreams. I thank God each and every day that I found this amazing property management company. I wouldn’t want to work with anyone else! 10/10 highly recommend.

Negative experience: I have been working on an journalism piece concerning the population influx in Clarksville and the surrounding areas and the effect it has had on the available housing market and have ran into a crazy trend.. HORRIBLE property management companies that prey on their renters, So I hit the pavement. I had the opportunity to look at a home offered by this management company and I must say I was very disappointed at the state these companies expect people to live while charging 1000 + for just rent. this particular home while appearing cute and cozy from the street, was anything but once you went inside. Half the appliances weren't functioning, Lights and fans sparking when you tun them on, black mold in multiple parts of the home thanks to the wonderful water leak in the basement. Windows with cracks so huge in the joints you can stuff coins out of it without opening it just to name a few of the issues. Neighborhood was cute with roughly .5 acre lots.. The Yard was decently upkept and the external appeal while not to die for was still nice. I found it odd the ridiculous check list that included things like the condition of curtains, Even though there were no curtains or blinds. Which lead me to read the reviews and boy was I glad I did.. Turns out this property management company likes to prey on its less fortunate residents by making what's called an Unjustified claim for damages. Please keep this in mind when doing initial walk throughs.. Basically how this works is they give you this HUGE checklist with the notion that they will fix what you complain about... They wont.. What they are doing is using that checklist to take you to court for damages after your move. IF ITS BROKEN AND YOU DONT MARK IT ON THIS CHECKLIST... THEY WILL USE SAID CHECKLIST AS PROOF IT WASNT BROKEN IN COURT TO MAKE YOU PAY FOR IT.... I asked the resident if they actually fixed anything that was complained about on their checklist and was told the response they received is "Its up to the property owner".... Someone should read the Uniform Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (URLTA) before they lose their owners some money. So what's the recommendation? STAY AWAY!!!. I will be submitting my findings and picture evidence and article to the state. Be on the watch for my article in web publications like The lookout. Edit: Note how the management responds to a review. Anyway here is a pic of me in the home I have owned for the last 10 years so I am not sure what she means by "all they did for me".... Given just this falsehood... Judge the rest of the response how you will folks.

Negative experience: My review is solely based off of looking at units on the website and the reviews... Im currently LOOKING to move to TN but am leaving a state where my previous leasing office was running a scam and I had to get the attorney general involved, its sad to see how many rental properties lack accountability and always try to flip a narrative onto a tenant. The responses to the reviews have been nothing less than professional and whoever Nicole is, I have no idea how youre still employed cause clearly your bad for business and after reading people interactions with you I would NEVER rent here or advise anyone to. Simply for peace of mind. Yall goin learn to stop getting over in people. Anyone know some good properties tho?

Negative experience: don’t bother with this place they’ll have you tour a mold infested home and expect you to move and put in a work order for it to be taken care of first they literally showed us a home that was next to a horder junk yard and then the actual house was filled with mold and water damage and also just stunk of cat pee. (and mold) there was mold all lining the inside of the kitchen cabinet and water seeping out from between the floorboards in the kitchen as well it’s honestly disgusting they would show a property in such a state of neglect one star for the agent for being nice

Negative experience: Rented a townhouse for 4 1/2 years and never missed or was late on rent. After I moved out I was charged $435 for a microwave. It was already broken when I moved in. The handle of the microwave fell off after about a year. You could tell that the handle had been previously glued a number of times . If this is the way long term tenants are treated, you should stay away at all cost.

Negative experience: Terrible experience with this property management company. When we tried to discuss the issue with Jessica Pfister, we were met with rude and condescending responses. They were unhelpful at every turn, refusing to clarify what charges, if any, were actually justifiable. Despite our repeated attempts to resolve the situation professionally, they showed no willingness to assist or even acknowledge their mistakes. It’s clear that their only concern is taking as much money as they can, without regard for tenant rights or fair practices. I would strongly advise anyone to stay far away from this company—they are dishonest, unprofessional, and completely untrustworthy.

Negative experience: Just got off the phone with Nichole in their office, after having lived in one of their properties for one year, Cherokee has decided to try and pin their poor practices on me. After having moved out of their property I went through the standard clean and move out process. Then Cherokee sends out an inspector to the property, and in the inspection notes they want to pin a host of their lack of upkeep on the property on me. When I moved in and I filled out the checklist detailing what was dirty, broken, or in disrepair, I didn’t think I needed to list a bad paint job, where there’s two different colored paints in the bathroom on one weird corner or a floor board that has some bend when you step on it. I asked Nichole how I was supposed to know I needed to list there not being blinds on the windows, if the blinds weren’t on the windows when I moved in? She decided to lecture me with a rude and condescending tone about how I should have covered myself. Nichole why would I think I needed to list a spot of mud on the gravel driveway? If there weren't blinds when I moved in, how was I supposed to know the blinds were missing? Especially given that I asked Cherokee to fill in the same muddy hole before I ever moved in, and they never did. I also spent hours in the yard cleaning up little scraps of plastic from the previous tenants, I’m sure Cherokee fined them for that, but then left it without cleaning it up. Now I’m being blamed for it, even after I asked them to clean it when I moved in. Do no rent from this company, they will prey on their tenants to avoid taking care of their properties. If you do, fill in their move-in checklist to the extreme. I filled every bit of the writing space on mine, I didn’t realize I needed to ask for a second, and probably third. Their employees apparently need to go back to school, assuming they have even a high school degree because for at least Nichole, basic logic doesn’t seem to click.

Negative experience: Spoke with Deborah Monday to schedule a viewing at 7:30 am Thursday I drove an hour to get here just for her to never show up and then claim she did but the also stated the property was rented out already on Wednesday and failed to communicate until 7:46 the day of. Negative experience: I give Cherokee Property Management 0 stars. My daughter was a good tenant who paid her rent on time each month, I know because I helped her pay the rent. This property management company and their staff, Nicole Sessions, harassed, threatened my daughter where she had to file harassment charges on this property management. I WOULD NOT ever recommend anyone to rent from this property management. This company is a bunch of psychos and lunatics, and I cannot wait to go to court with my daughter and testify against this company. LEAVE MY DAUGHTER ALONE YOU BUNCH OF PSYCHOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic experience: I rented two houses from my time in Clarksville. One from Keystone and one from Cherokee. Keystone was more than disappointing. I lost roughly a thousand dollars in my security deposit for which I still don’t quite know. They were extremely unprofessional and their contract was beyond extensive. I’m not sure their employees completely read through it. In contrast, Cherokee was great. I worked with Cathy majority of the time and she was always pleasant and patient with whatever concerns or issues I brought up. From a wind storm blowing the fence over to a rock being thrown into the window during lawn care maintenance, Cherokee took care of everything with next to no complications. If given the choice you would be wise to chose Cherokee especially if deciding against Keystone.

Negative experience: Since you went on a review that didn't have an explanation to defend yourself I'll respond, I didn't leave a one star because of the loophole you found in the lease to charge me an extra month, I left a one star because of the lack of communication, follow up or care for one of your customers who was loyal to your company for two years. The disrespect I had to deal with on the phone from Nicole who was one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking to. Since the second I decided to call you guys to figure out why you charged me an extra month when I thought we had an agreement all any employee for Cherokee Property Management did was assume. I'm sure you've heard a phrase or two about assuming. If you're gonna respond to this again please attach the phone call between me and miss Nicole. Thank you! Again the One Star was for horrible customer service and poor property management skills not over the loophole you found.

Fantastic experience: My agent was Denise, she has Great customer service! she is very direct, very helpful, very informative, all around great job! Only people in town where you can tour the property without paying an application fee , and fee is refundable if you don’t like the property.

Positive experience: Lived at a residents for 2 years they fix things fast but make sure you take pictures of everything even if it's not damaged they will try and take your deposit or worse sue you make sure you got about 300 pictures and a detailed move in list

Negative experience: I’m truly at a loss of words. I have never had such a horrible experience as I did today speaking to Nicole. I was referred to Cherokee from a buddy (Randy) who uses Cherokee to manage his properties. I was looking for a reasonable apartment for my brother and his family. I went on to co- sign for them and then removed myself after a year. So they would have some sense of accomplishment. After the next year I found myself helping them again and coming back on the lease to help them catch back up. Of course there’s more to that story. Anyways, once my family moved out completely I went in to clean and repair many items per the move out check list. So approximately 20 ish days I called to check on the close out and refund. I was immediately transferred to a Nicole who said she would need to call me back in 30 mins. After 90 mins I called back and was immediately put on hold by her. Her attitude was extremely harsh to say the least. Once Nicole tuck me off hold for the second time, she immediately went into what I was being charged for. I was most definitely expecting to be charged for some items I didn’t want to fix personally. But I was not expecting her to start off with what I knew I had already done. She went on to say that the carpet hasn’t been cleaned, the screen is bent and the house wasn’t cleaned. O and a vanity door is broke. So let’s start with the carpet. I said repeatedly it was cleaned and a receipt was furnished to Cherokee. She said I don’t know if it was done, I don’t have access to the receipt I can only go off what she’s told by whom ever does the move out inspection. Like did you not hear me tell you that you have a receipt. I gave it to a lady at the front who made a copy of the cleaning receipt. Then the screen was bent. Ok the top of a screen was bent. There were vines growing all over the apartment and up the screen. You couldn’t even see the screen due to all the vegetation growing up the window and building. I spoke to Jessica approximately two months ago asking about the landscape and she said o we have pics and someone’s coming out to clean it up. ( I want to add that Jessy among the other lady’s in the front are amazing) Nicole kept saying is it on the move in list. Like no it’s not! Again, vegetation comes and goes! And clearly grew up after being there. So once they removed the vines, I’m left with a bent screen. And I’m to blame!?! From there I was told repeatedly that I was becoming defensive!!!! I’m mean I was told it to the point that I don’t even care about the money! I can ensure you of that! I did this twice to help family. And was simply calling today to ask about this matter and speaking to someone to inquire about them managing properties for me. I’m flabbergasted that a reputable company that was referred to me by a friend has such a person handling items like this with out any mind our voice of reason nor respect for anyone or the situation. Now does Nicole have a position in which she talks to people on a daily who trash apartments and leave them disgusting? Absolutely!, but for her to have such a horrible attitude to begin with and to follow through constantly telling a consumer or prospective client that their just being defensive is absolutely disheartening and out right disrespectful. So in my opinion Nicole needs to know the difference in someone being extremely irritated and disrespected. Versus being DEFENSIVE! Needless to say i feel completely disrespected!!!! I’m not your everyday renter, person who has no respect, character or integrity! I’m a very caring, loving, successful man. Who isn’t going to let such disrespect go unnoticed. I’ll be sure that the people I encounter, especially some of your clients know the way you treat “their” tenants, friends and family!

Negative experience: Nicole wrote me a letter saying I had 10 days to remove my car 6 days later a tow truck came and towed my car I’m 3 months pregnant my car wasn’t running I had plans to get it to a shop within those 10 days of the printed letter they towed it on the 11th my letter was dated the 5th when I called to get it straightened out she showed know remorse nor Grace continued to tell me it shouldn’t have been parked there and didn’t even acknowledge that I still had 4 days left to move my vehicle this is the worst rental property experience I’ve ever had Nicole is very rude and ghetto she talked to me very rude and unkindly you wouldn’t even have known she was on her job let alone a property manager she doesn’t deserve to be in her new position that she just acquired this year this property is very unprofessional and I have reached out to my attorney about this because they can’t just do ppl any kind of way specially when my whole building is empty so my car wasn’t taking up any room it’s was at least 5 other parking spot available at least until the 15th which they told me I had until. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER PROPERTY MANAGER FEELS SHE IS THE OWNER and can do what she want.

Positive experience: Have lived in out rental house for little over 4 years, the staff helpful, since they moved locations it seems like a different atmosphere at the office. The things I don't like is when you have a repair they try to make you pay for it, Our carpet should have been replaced before we moved in but we have to have it professionally cleaned when it will probably be trashed out when we move. They keep charging more every time we have a lease renewal.

Fantastic experience: I have been a customer of and conducting business with Cherokee Property Management for about 3 years now. I’ve had nothing but consistent professionalism and positive interactions with the employees here. Jessica, Denise, and Nicole specifically have been very patient and tolerable of my abnormal work schedule and always find time to answer questions, handle repairs related to my rental properties, and maintain my financial transactions at odd hours and days outside the regular work week. This management group cares about their tenants just as much as their landlords as well. I have seen them go out of their way to handle tenants needs at all hours of the day and night as well as assuring both parties are satisfied with the solution to whatever problem arises. I will continue using Cherokee Property Management’s services even though I have moved away from the immediate area but I trust them fully to maintain and stay consistent with my business.

Negative experience: Debra helped us find the best neighborhood to live in for our family..... *After move in- We felt tricked. Jesse was absolutely rude from day 1, no care nor respect by the way she talked to me- we should have left then. We called after just moving in about a giant piece of crown molding with large nails sticking out of it in our bush, I called and was told "I don't know what you're talking about, send pictures" waited, no response soooo we had to remove and dispose of it properly ourselves. The whole house needed cleaning WE had to do, we even had to put our screens back in. Our son got mites all over his body do to the filthy carpet, continuously being harassed about someone else banging on our door coming into our home to change the air filter (which if your an adult, clearly is not rocket science), the repair guy would rather sit in his van on Facebook (we watched him for more than an hour) than to do any "work"- I say that due to all of our floor molding were literally not attached correctly, sliding right off, nor was any other work we saw. 3 trees fell onto our neighbor's house in November and sat there for 4 months until they decided to hurry up, cut it, laid down hay and moved another family right back in. Our family is completely done with this whole experience... BIG mistake for us to have thought this was a home. Lesson learned ✔️

Negative experience: Take pictures of everything, I do mean everything if you rent from them. I made a huge mistake by renting a house with them. Do not rent with this company. Fantastic experience: Cherokee Property Management has been our Management company for 18+ years. They are reliable and always willing to go the extra mile to resolve any concerns with our property. We especially like their property inspection process, were they physically visit the property and provide us pictures and feedback on the property condition. We recently reviewed our property inspection with Denise, who gave us valuable feedback that has assisted us with working with Jessica to schedule maintenance. Both Denise and Jessica, along with their maintenance team, are very good working with the tenants on our behalf. We value their expertise and help keeping our property maintained.

Negative experience: ONE WORD, MOLD!!!! Do not use this company!!!! Most of their homes they sell have mold!!!! They move people into their homes knowing mold is present and instead of fixing the issue before new tenants move in , they try to hide it!!! They will have their rinky dink unlicensed plumber / tech come out and lie and say its not mold its dirt ! smh . The homeowners who use this company are mostly crooks and dont even know anything about how to run properties.

Negative experience: We moved in to this unit and it was NOT cleaned. My mom and grandma had to come over and help me clean up . The carpet was filthy, it had gum it in and they NEVER came out to clean it. I called and they said we have receipts it was cleaned, however it was disgusting. NICOLE In the office said “just because it had gum in it, doesn’t mean it’s not clean”. The floors in the bathroom did have not real tile. They put a paper down to look like they had put tile down on the floor. The shower had no shower rod and the cabinets had no knobs. The living floor had holes in it, the windows had no blinds. The doors were not put on and we had to call for them to come and install them. They had us write a list of things that needed to be done and when we turned it in , they didn’t come and fix anything. When we moved out. They charged us for the things that were already torn up and ruined. The lady on the phone NICOLE , was extremely rude and unprofessional. If you are looking for a dirty, trashy place to live with people that don’t care about the tenets then this is the place for your.

Negative experience: I have a such a bad taste for this rental property, I been living here since 2021 November, I never call to request any type of maintenance,one time I called for a leak in the pipes where the washing machine is, and didn't get a respond until 3 months later, had to pay out if pocket to fix it,second time I called that the stripes to the front door are rotten and the response I received was is not the issue for my a/c running g outside, then I asked to have some check my air conditioner and there response is"if I lower to much it will freeze and I would be response, they have these apartments uncredited for, dirty, and they never care to assist with any improvements, definitely NEVER renting with again, I am disappointed and ready to find another home, PLEASE don't rent from them

Negative experience: We lived in the Hidden Springs apartments and they don't care about us at all. In the last year we've lived here, ants and mice have infested our place, yet when we ask management for help (which is why we pay them), we're told we have to deal with it. We're rather clean people, even with the occasional kid mess, so the fact that we have had these problems with zero help is ridiculous. Don't use them as your rental management.

Fantastic experience: We are new to the Clarksville area and have been, mostly, interacting remotely with office staff due to living in FL. The staff had been remarkable and worked woth us at every turn. They did a video walk through of the home and when they answered the phones were extremely helpful and congenial. Since signing our lease they've been quick to respond to maintenance requests and are super communicative. When we decide to buy a home we are sure to use this Realtor!

Fantastic experience: We've been with them now for nearly 2 yrs. Their people and managers are top notch. Excellent response to maintenance issues. Our HVAC would not proved heat on a Saturday. The repair tech was on site within 4-6 hrs. Identified the problem and a part was ordered as soon as possible on Monday. Arrived the next day and installed. 2nd problem identified, part ordered. Arrived next day and installed. Results, everything fine. Summary = 2 problems identified, parts ordered and installed. Elapsed time 5 days including the weekend and involved customer(me and wife), Property Mgmt(personnel), and 3rd party repair contractor.

Negative experience: Fact-based information: The Company know the expectations of the owners and will swindle you out of money for credit and background checks, then change you knowing you are no appropriate for owners' expectations. Negative experience: I rented a apartment with my long term boyfriend (now ex) our lease was up and I informed them that we wouldn't be renewing and I promptly moved out. My ex still lives there with my name on the lease im fighting each month because I am still on the hook if he doesn't pay (over a year later) I've put in a notice multiple times that the lease needs to end and set a move out date but they refuse to evict him, I cannot get another apartment with my name still on the hook for this one and they will not let me sign my name off of it without him having someone else. Everytime I schedule a leave date he tells them he has no where to go and they just continue to let him live there. As long as they get their money they do not care.

Fantastic experience: I heard some negative things about Cherokee, so we were a little hesitant to rent from them. But now that we are renters I can not believe how they would get a negative rating. Barbara is one of the sweetest ladies I have talked with & always makes sure that any messages or issues get through to the owners. We have had a few problems with our townhouse (sink dripping, a/c unit burning out) & every time I have placed a request it is solved promptly. When the qorkers (Doc & Mike) have came to fix an issues they are professional & friendly. Cathy is one of the front desk receptionists & she is a saint. She walked us through everything & and answered my 1000 questions! I'd recommend Cherokee Property Management to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Relocated to Clarksville and everything was going wrong until I found my home through this company. Although, I am renting I felt really secure with the process. Ian showed me a place that wasn’t listed yet and even came after hours to show me on a hot summer day. The process was thorough and quick from there with keys in just a few days. Veronica welcomed me and walked through the process effortlessly. Barbara did follow ups and so far I feel confident that this will be the norm. In your case we sent the HVAC company out on more than one occasion. They thought your dirty filter was the issue. When the problem persisted, the office manager ending up calling the owner of the HVAC company and he himself went out and discovered the issue was due to the duct work under the house. That was repaired and the issue resolved. If you ever encounter disrespectful employees, we'd want you to call back and speak with the office manager. If that isn't satisfactory, you can always ask for the broker. We truly want to know if we have a problem!

Negative experience: I don’t understand how this company received any high ratings. The house we moved in was dirty and needed many repairs. After a year of living there they never came to fix one problem. We moved and left the house clean after our lease ended and received threats to put money owed on our credit report even though they kept our $900 deposit. I would recommend NOT renting from them. Negative experience: edit: In response to the commit.. Your company need to reconsider who answer the phone and make sure they are attentive to the tenants needs. I understand that the owner have to give permission for repairs, my main issue was the person on the phone, it was not what she said it was how she said it..... I would rather speak to someone over seas that don't know English then call this company..... I never had a major problem with the way repairs are handled... the customer service is what frustrates me.... We have lived in this apartment since 2012 and have been good tenants with the previous owners....we have never had a roach problem...never ...the previous owners sprayed every 3-6 months all units..maybe yall should consider spraying all units on a regular bases instead of when there is major problem...

Negative experience: This was the WORST rental agency I’ve ever experienced in my life. The customer service ladies were tremendously rude to us on more than one occasion. To the point I thought it was borderline unprofessional. I had never seen anything like it before. And unless your house is SPOTLESS before you close your lease, do not plan on getting your deposit back. They will hold onto that like their life depends on it. If 0 stars was possible, I would give them ZERO stars.

Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I just recently moved into a two bedroom apartment. The move itself was very stressful. With that being said, Cherokee has done so much to make things not only a little easier, but a lot! As soon as we moved in and started filling out the checklist they had asked us to fill out, we noticed there was quite a bit going on (most likely from the previous renters). As soon as we turned the list back in, we had many different phone calls from people wanting to fix the problems! Within a week or so, our new home is fixed and we haven’t had many (if any) issues since. I definitely recommend renting from Cherokee! Great service!

Negative experience: Recently moved in, took 1 day and none of the things that were promised to be taken care before move in were. Mold found in bathroom, as well kitchen areas. Large safety concerns, and flooring not nailed down. Amongst other issues, photos sent and video taken of home. Was told most of that on the phone would not be covered. Moved Into home with master bath shower head being held together with tape, staff did not give us correct keys, as front door was rekey. Frame damage where it looks like someone tried to force their way in. I understand the rating given. Hoping property management will respond quickly and we can come to sensible solution as I am a disabled veteran and have a small child that could possibly be at risk. Would post photos of walk in if I could Edit: moved out bought a house from them cause my spouse loved the house. Terrible people to deal with left the house in way(like day and night ) better than what was given to it in. If you have the chance don’t rent from these people. Even after I had the house professionally cleaned they tried to Bill me for one.

Negative experience: My girlfriend was trying to buy a house they had on the market. The inspector found several issues with the house during his inspection. She asked them to fix the issue is an adequate amount of time. They wanted to drag it out until a couple days before the closing of the house. After reading the reviews that people have posted, she pulled her offer. Who knows if they would have fixed the issues or not. This same house was previously on the market and the person buying the house apparently couldn’t close on the deal. That made us wonder if it was because they would not fix the issue. I hope they never get another offering this house and it rots to the grown!!!! I had to give them one star in order to make a post, or I would have given them a “0” Also they haven’t done any trimming on the yard and the weeds are as tall as my head!!!!!!! If you call yourself professional, ack professional.

Negative experience: DO NOT RENT HERE! Hi guys, I relocate for work often. This time, I had the pleasure of working in Ft. Campbell within the community. I rented one of the new town homes on Wilma. The property was beautiful at first but then started the terror. Trash was neglected weekly, maintenance help was almost impossible! There’s no emergency number to call after the office closes after 5pm. Unfortunately, this office just needs a little Or a lot help with customer service and basic rental keep up. Renting here wouldn’t be my choice again.

Negative experience: I don't usually write reviews but I am just utterly annoyed and disappointed with the move out process. Please do not rent from Cherokee if you do not want to be financially responsible for damage already done to the property. Prepare to have some maitenence requests ignored. They have you fill out this long move - in list to report damages as if it does anything. It doesn't. They don't even look at it when you move out and I even handed them pictures of everything. For example, a huge chunk of the fence was missing when we moved in, stains ALL over the carpet, tub chipping, junk in shed, Fire pit in yard, etc. Wrote it all down. They are trying to get our deposit with it. Don't bother cleaning up because it will go unnoticed and they will try to charge you for it anyways. This happened to a family member as well. It's literally so easy to look at before and after lists and pictures but i guess you have to help people do their jobs. And I feel sorry for the owners too. They probably weren't even told how junky their property was before new tenants move in. By the time they are ready to sell, it's a piece of junk and Cherokee runs with some of their money. The simple fact that they are so argumentative on these reviews goes to show how crooked this is. They are on here trying to deny all this but just know that it's true.

Negative experience: This property management company is horrible. Take a few minutes to read their responses to negative reviews. They are very defensive, unprofessional, and rude. That in itself should tell you how bad this company is. It has been over six weeks since my renter moved and they have yet to get a contractor over to get an estimate for repairs. Three weeks after the renter moved, the company finally did their walk through and took photos. It was so bad that the next door neighbor searched for me online for a couple days to show me photos of how trashed the yard was left. Trying to talk to them is like pulling teeth. I have to continuously email and call to get any answers. I’ve worked with other property management companies, so I know what is standard service. I’d rather get. Colonoscopy without sedation than work with this company. I plan to fire them in the next two weeks if I don’t answers. I’ll probably have more luck doing the stuff myself from 1,200 miles away.

They don’t keep there word with anything ..If you put in a maintenance request and no one comes out to fix it they will tell you that your responsible with keeping track of that and making sure someone is on it which the only thing I’m responsible for is letting you know what needs fixing it’s YOUR JOB to keep up with maintenance that’s what we PAY you for.. and I agree with the few people that feels like staff is rude I know there’s one particular person that is real rude everytime I come in I have to speak with her I guess cause she over the property I use to rent but other then that I will be taking my money elsewhere

Negative experience: I would give negative 7 stars if I could. This place needs new staff and management, or to be shut down. Just want to give everyone in the Clarksville TN area a forewarning to NOT use Cherokee property management whatsoever , unless you enjoy being hassled and disrespected consistently by some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. Every single time we called they were uneducated and unprofessional in their field of work. They would put me on hold countless times to receive an answer, instead of continuing to be on hold I would ask every time to talk to a manager, they would put me on hold then the phone would hang up. I would call back and it would go straight to voicemail. My family recently went through them( huge mistake) for a rental home due to us about to PCS to FT Campbell. These people were absolutely down right RUDE in all aspects. They told us “work orders and repairs are the tenants responsibility, not theirs”. We couldn’t even use the kitchen sink because it would back up the dishwasher(which we never used) and flood the entire kitchen. These conniving realtors also told me “In the future, I should not re-nigg on my lease for a smoother process when receiving my full deposit back”. The owner of the house also had packages delivered to the home EVERY other day which made my family very uncomfortable because we felt our privacy had been compromised to the fullest. He would watch UPS drop the package off from the street side of the home and then proceed to text me “ Take the package inside, and he will be in momentarily to get the package and check on his house”. I contacted Cherokee property management and they said “ He can come and go on his property as much as he likes, regardless of the time or day”. All in all, we were not even living in the home an entire 25 days and we were on to the next realtor due to these issues with this company. There is a reason why they have horrible reviews. The staff has always had a attitude with me and my family. To any and everyone, service members and civilians alike, I highly encourage you to steer clear of this place even if it’s the last resort.

Negative experience: I would give this negative stars if possible. This company is horrible. First of all their office hours are hard to work around for normal working people. I put a deposit down to reserve an apartment and 10 days later I came to sign the lease and pick up the keys. They had lost the keys and told me to go check the apartment for a lockbox. I got there and they didn’t have a lockbox. At this point in time they were closed and impossible to reach. I finally got in touch with someone and they called a locksmith to re key the door. I still went without water and electricity over the weekend because they took so long to prepare everything and I ran out of time to have them turned on. I even had to take off of work for this because of their hours. The locksmith finally came 2 hours later causing me to miss an event at my church that I had planned over a month. The property owner came by and apologized for the inconvenience which was nice and said she’s give us a $50 amazon card for our troubles. They never gave us a card although I called and asked about it multiple times. Most of the time they put you on hold for an extended period of time. When I moved in the place was disgusting, quite obvious it hadn’t been cleaned at all as promised. When I moved out I left the place in better condition than I moved in (I fixed several minor issues). I spent hours cleaning the carpet when I moved in and even have pictures of the filth I cleaned out of them yet they require a carpet cleaning fee as part of the lease when you move out. When I moved out they charged me a $185 carpet cleaning fee (which they obviously pocket and don’t use for cleaning the carpet) along with multiple other cleaning fees although it was impeccable compared to when I moved in. Out of a $650 deposit I ended up with $385 of my deposit back. When I called in to figure out why they took almost half of my deposit after leaving the home cleaner and in better shape than I found it the lady I spoke with was defensive right off the bat. They are obviously used to screwing people out of their deposit then stiff arming them because she was very rude and blunt. I understand business is business but this company should be ashamed of themselves for the way they take advantage of military families. TLDR; this company seems ok but will screw you out of your deposit and theres nothing you can do about it.

The above statement is just not true! We now do inspections about every 6 months. The program we've had since April 2018 helps us keep track of the property inspections and the pictures go directly to the owners portal. We DO NOT take money out of owners accounts. Recently there was a bank error and they put money into accounts that they shouldn't have and so they then reversed that transaction.

Positive experience: Changing my review after dealing with other rental places. This place was actually painless. Yes they took my security deposit because of confusion with the move out process. So make sure you go in and not use their online messaging system. Just like any other place be thorough with the inspection (which I was I just didnt fight it because I was last min with everything) the place was trashed when I moved in and in better condition before I left I just didnt want to deal with it (still have the inspection sheet). Hense the 4 stars. Probably should be less but after dealing with other places everything that was wrong doesnt seem that bad now lol. Would recommend this place to anybody with the recommendation to deal with them in person and not over the phone or through emails.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this rental company! I heard so many bad things about them and I wish I would’ve listened!! To start maintenance take forever to come and you have to keep calling to the point where you’re basically begging them to come out. Then they have this careless attitude whenever you’re showing you have a concern and their customer Service is horrible. At first I didn’t have a problem with them and it’s probably cause I stayed out the way but when things needed to be fixed in my apartment and life events happened is when true colors were shown! After leaving them I was charge for damages that wasn’t something I did. Now I can say I understand the carpet damage but everything else had nothing to do with me and I even have pictures to prove it because I made sure when I First moved in it went over the checklist also took pictures is well. They also never sent me my follow up letter in the mail about any of this.

Negative experience: My wife and I moved in dec 2018 and before multiple times reported water being stolen by neighbor by the outside hose hookup. Cherokee did nothing and now all the way in March of 2019 we get a call saying we owe water bill even though we had shut it off back in December and paid...the neighbor was using our water before it was shut off and got us more charge. Cherokee still said well we have no way to help you even though the same guy was reported for having multiple large breed dogs in his home as well being uncared for

Negative experience: I dealt with them for 14 years and then moved out due to their poor maintanance. I do not recomend them not one bit.

I'm sorry you do not feel we deserve more than a 1 star rating. You rented from us for 14 years and just now decided there is "poor maintenance". Seems there is more to this story than you are telling so therefore I won't put it out for the whole world to see either!

Negative experience: The response in getting issues resolved does not seem to be a priority. The girls in the office are very nice & I honestly believe they want to help but have to check with the owner of the property before doing anything. I have had raw sewage from everyone’s apt backed up in my crawl space, they allegedly fixed it but now it’s all overflowing inside the apt. When no-one is even close to the bathroom??

Fantastic experience: I love the ladies that work at this office! Anytime I have ever needed anything, they have been quick to help and extremely friendly through every situation! They have always gone out of their way to make sure I have had a great experience. I highly recommend this office to anyone needing to rent a home or apartment!

Negative experience: 875 Elwood dr. Mold in all the closets Paint peeling off walls from water Garage roof caving in, river runs thru it 20 other bad things Owner will not fix or repair

I'm sorry Mr Gray that you feel we do not deserve more than a 1 star. We strive to provide the best possible service. Please keep in mind we can only do what the home owner will allow us to do so why punish our company with a one star rating? It appears that the only work order called in had to do with the roof leaking. If a work order is not called in or placed on line we have NO way of knowing repairs need to be made and we can't inform the home owner to ask for approval. If things were as bad as a 1 star, why did you stay past the end of your lease?
