Fantastic experience: They are not just a management company, they are Brittany, Jacob and Chris. Real people that pick up the phone and listen to you. I couldn't believe how responsive they were for the work orders. Everything was taken care of quickly whenever a problem came up. Beware of other rentals in the Clarksville area, Horizon had nothing to hide, and the cleanest and best kept rentals hands down. What's more is they are very fair with price and don't gauge you when it's time for renewal. They understand this is your HOME not just a rental. You cannot best them period.

Fantastic experience: We have been clients of HR&M, LLC for almost 20 yrs. and have moved all over the country while they have managed our property. They have always had great communication and especially helped tremendously while doing a full remodel post-covid...great contactors! Roof replaced after hail storm, no problem. 75% of 20 y.o. deck replaced, done in a week! I believe we have only been back twice in all these years to do a walk-thru. One by choice when we were in the local area, and one was for the remodel. All our tenant's needs have been met in a timely manner, and our personal needs (as owners) always addressed. Highly recommend as a tenant or owner!

Negative experience: Amanda is one of the realtors there. She set up times, to have people view our son's home. They did not show up, til two hours later. We were doing work there and we were staying at our son's home. She stated how we did not care about our son and the selling of his house and how we were screwing him over. She acted like she owned the home. She spoke to us with such horrible disdain. I am his parent and love my son, beyond words. I have never dealt with such a rude, unprofessional, nasty, self absorbed, arrogant, person in my life. Where is the common curtesy ? Where is the professionalism ? I have all the texts saved, as to how Amanda treated; me, the father, of the man, she was selling the house for. Needless to say, my son fired her. Be aware.

Fantastic experience: I’m really impressed with Horizon Property Management. I previously rented from one of the big-name companies in Clarksville, and Horizon was 1,000 times better. They approved my application quickly, and the move-in process was smooth overall. On move-in day, there was one small hiccup, a contractor was still in the home, sitting on the floor watching a movie while supposedly installing two transition pieces. It was a 10-minute job that he dragged out for hours. It was obvious he was milking the clock. After waiting around and running errands, I came back to find him still sitting there. I ended up telling him to leave and fixed it myself. Not ideal, but that’s on the contractor, not Horizon. Throughout my lease, I was never bothered. Just the occasional email. I paid rent on time every month and never had to call maintenance. A few minor things broke, but I handled them myself. When I moved out, they refunded my deposit the same day, and I received it in about 4 days, that was a really pleasant surprise and genuinely appreciated. Now, the house itself (again, not Horizon’s fault) was another story: the fridge was from 2009, the fence was falling apart, the shed was unusable, the deck was at least 20 years old, and none of the windows opened. On top of that, the home wasn’t energy efficient, my electric bill ran $300–$600/month. It was clear the owner never invested in any upgrades or improvements, which was frustrating as a tenant. Despite all that, Horizon was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. If I hadn’t relocated out of state, I would absolutely rent from them again, just in a better-maintained home. Highly recommend this company, just be mindful that the quality of your rental depends a lot on the property owner, not the management company.

They’ve always been proactive with home maintenance during walk throughs like suggesting to replace the water heater or fixing the deck before it becomes an emergent issue. They’re timely with communicating tenant requests and with needed repairs. They always follow up after storms go through the area. Definitely recommend! They make it easy!

Positive experience: I have been renting through this management company since 2021. I will say that I am a very low key tenant - I pay my rent on time every month - I don't ask for much and I take pride in my "home" even though I am renting. They have always been very responsive to my requests for repairs. With gentle reminders the gutters are cleaned, etc. Any replacement items I may need have been replaced with decent items. The rent has been reasonable. The only reason it's not a 5 star is due to - no matter what they say - the carpet in the bedrooms were not professionally cleaned before I moved in and quite honestly need replaced and the individuals they find to do some of the work - the deck - are sub par (but then again many of my homeowner friends can't find decent people to do the work on their houses). The interior paint job was not done or done poorly. But with that being said I am happy renting from them. PS - The newest plumber they have (Daniel) is FANTASTIC!

If you're a property owner looking for a great property manager, Horizon is who you want to work with. I'm looking at selling a property currently with another PM in another city so I can acquire and hand over more properties to Horizon for management. I'll never use another PM in the Clarksville area!

Positive experience: I was a tenant at a rental property for almost 2 years. While living there, the company was always quick to respond to any questions and maintenance requests. I found that on a couple occasions that the maintenance men were dismissive to things I had mentioned while they were at the property. Also, after moving out there was a lack in communication between employees. I had to contact them multiple times to discuss list of charges for the move out inspection. Once everyone was "in the loop," things went super smooth. They were very pleasant to work with. Besides those couple misunderstandings, I would most definitely recommend Horizon Realty to anyone looking to rent in the Clarksville Area.

Fantastic experience: Horizon has been phenomenal as our property management company. We rent and as renters we have had our fair share of sucky landlords. Horizon is NOT one of them. From start to finish they have responded to every maintenance request within 1-2 days (luckily none was emergent) and the issues are always resolved and/or fixed. They are always friendly when I call them to ask questions etc and I truly feel they are the best rental property management here in Clarksville. So much so I’ve recommended them to my military friends who bought their home and plan to rent it out once they leave. They always do what’s in the best interest of the renter and homeowner simultaneously. Their maintenance/handymen are always so nice and polite and do a great job. Never feel awkward or weird and they’re very personable. They allow my children to watch them do repairs and “learn” and make it a fun environment bc my kids are very interested in every step. Thank you horizon for being so great bc not all landlords/property management companies are created equal!

Negative experience: Highly recommend not renting any property with this joke of a company, unless you want them to take basically all your security deposit for normal wear and tear (painting - with the paint they provided) and then tell you to stop harassing them when you call to ask about it.

Fantastic experience: We have rented multiple properties from this company. The other companies we rented with are put to shame compared to them. Great communication and always has answers. Maintenance was also pretty quick come anytime we needed them.

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best place I've rented in 20 years of moving around with the Army. I looked around Clarksville for quite a while before finding a nice, clean place for a good price. Horizon makes it easy with autopay and a user-friendly website. If you ever have questions, their staff is friendly and quick to answer questions. I wish I could review their maintenance, but in 2 and a half years, I never once had to call them to fix anything. Great company!

They were our property managers for over 10 years and really brought that personal touch. They're locals who know Clarksville/Oak Grove like their back of their hands and have a way of getting things done. It's like working with family/community insiders. Being military, it gave us that extra peace of mind through deployments and PCSing. They really go the extra mile for their clients and we're incredibly grateful for all they did for that first home we bought with our baby NCO deployment money.

Fantastic experience: I just want to take this moment since we are finally settled into our new home. We rented a house from Horizon for 4 years and truly made the space home. As well the management of the home while we were there was absolutely perfect. I would 100% rent another home from them or have them as my own property managers if we ever make our way back to town.

Negative experience: Update: Horizon had been managing my property while I was overseas. I expected them to, and it was their obligation to ensure I was balancing tenant relationship and appropriate pricing for my rental. For years, I had been hundreds of dollars below rental rates because as Horizons said "your tenant is a teacher and she can't afford an increase." I stayed hundreds below market rate for years and years even when my taxes and insurance were going up, but when I needed to increase, Horizon gave me a hard time about increasing it. By this time, I was about $600/month below market rates and they were not supportive of an increase, which is their contractual responsibility. So I let them know I was ending my contract with them, and that's when they began to get really rude with me. They allowed the tenant to leave without paying for damages to my property. I was military and out of state, and it was difficult to get things done. I attempted to go the legal route to get reimbursed but that's pretty much a dead end too, unless you have loads of money. So my recourse is to write a review.

Negative experience: I am not sure how to put this when it comes to the management of Horizon Realty. On one hand they can be timely and prompt when issues arise and repairs are discovered but on the other hand they completely ignore emails and questions and request when it comes to your property. I suggest that much detail and communication is established before moving forward with working this company. Gain as much information and understanding as one can and don't be afraid to ask those tough questions. I am definitely on the fence as far as continuing to work with the company at hand.

I had no issues what so ever. It was done and over in less than 30 days AND the actual transaction took less than an hour. Mike and Tiffany, it has been great doing business with you.

Positive experience: The Horizon team was friendly to my family and work orders were fixed in a manageable time. When my family first arrived at the house we were renting, there were a few thing that should have been looked at before our move in date like double checking cleanliness of the house. When I asked about a month to month plan I was told it wasn’t available and had to stay on contract after buying a house. Luckily the horizon team was quick to get someone moved into the home before I had to pay any extra rent on top of a mortgage.
