Fantastic experience: From the beginning to the end of my house search, Ruth and her team were very helpful and I am glad I went with them. Lauren was my realtor and it was a pleasure working with her. At every step she was thoughtful, informative and thorough. I was given enough data points about what locations are feasible, what recent comps look like, and the estimates for the house were on point. She was diligent in the agent inspections, in summarizing disclosures, in having connections to vendors who can help me with my needs, and very helpful in making a successful bid. At no point did I feel any pressure from her, she was kind and always answered all my questions. Overall I highly recommend them!

Negative experience: Yes. The poor reviews are correct. Extremely condescending, very entitled, snobby. Ruth is the kind of two faced agent you DO NOT want to work with. She pressures you. Thinks she knows better and will scoff at you if you disagree with her. Her pitch on how she wants an extra percentage point versus other agents for her work is one of those reverse psychology nonsense to make you think you’re missing out on some great secret if you don’t choose her. But at the end of the day, she’s just like any other basic agent. She doesn’t have a special network of buyers others don’t know about, she doesn’t have some special way of getting more for your property. She’s just very greedy. And fake. That smile fake. That nice attitude fake. She’s the epitome of fake. So disappointed that I didn’t see through it and wasted my time with her.

Fantastic experience: We didn’t start out with Lauren Neuschel. We first contacted an agent from Redfin about helping us find a place in San Francisco (we were in Virginia). But after we watched several of Ruth Krishnan’s YouTube videos on the SF property market, we decided to contact her office as well. Lauren wrote back immediately to set up an introductory Zoom. The other realtor? She responded a few days later, suggesting we contact her before we arrived in San Francisco, so she could set up some showings. Lauren was proactive. That’s what appealed to us. Two days after emailing her office, we were face-to-face over Zoom discussing our plans, her knowledge of the market, and how her office operates. We were given an assignment to review and comment on a number of Sold properties. At first, the assignment seemed ridiculous and also frustrating (we found our perfect home, but it had sold in June!), but it was actually a good exercise. Our comments provided Lauren with the information she needed to guide our search, while also prompting us to really think about what we wanted. Lauren was professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward. If she felt a property was not a good value, she said so. Completing all the paperwork (and there is a lot) involved in buying a home in California went smoothly with her help. Yes, we still read everything and did our own research, but Lauren definitely made the process a lot easier. Apart from two short visits to SF, we were in Virginia for much of the process, working with Lauren via email, text, and Zoom. Despite the time difference, Lauren was available to answer our questions at almost any time. We highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: To start this review, let me just say that Valerie with the Krishnan Group has truly set the standard for what my husband and I believe a realtor should be – knowledgeable; thorough; resourceful; a skilled negotiator. Above all, she is someone who has built a high level of trust with us and genuinely cared about us as homebuyers. As 2nd time homebuyers looking to move to the Bay, we thought we were decently knowledgeable about the homebuying process. But San Francisco is not like any other market and certainly a world apart from home buying in the Midwest! Having to start our home search from afar in Chicago, Valerie met with us over video conference to educate us step-by-step on the buying process and more importantly, the quirks of the SF market (read: lightning-quick closes). Prior to our arrival in SF, we went through the past-sold exercise and that was enlightening. It really helped us hone in on what attributes were actually important to us vs. what we thought were important to us and it helped us understand the pricing dynamics of the current market. When the status of the listing changed that day from “showing” to accepting final offers on Tuesday, we had to pivot ASAP! And this is where Valerie put on a masterclass in coordination. This was the fifth home sale of our marriage and, honestly, it didn’t become a life-trauma because we worked with Yesinia and the whole Ruth Krishnan team. During summer 2024, after living in San Francisco for several years, it became clear our careers were leading to an out of state relocation and this was going to happen quite quickly. Fantastic experience: Selling a house is not easy, until you do it through Ruth Krishnan, and specifically with Yesenia Rogers. Yesenia was, and still is even after all is said and done wonderful to do business with. This entire process from initial discussion with Ruth, and remainder of selling process with Yesenia was as painless and stress free as could be. After she took a tour of the house, she had some initial ideas that surprisingly made sense. The improvements she suggested were simple, but actually made all the difference in making the first impression to whomever walked in feel that could be their place. I am not one to write reviews in order to get something in return. Yesenia really knows the real estate market well, and she was available all the time, not just on her schedule. I could tell from the times she got back to me she works more than 8 hours a day. I just handed over the keys to her after just a couple of initial discussions and signing off on the sales agreement, and let her and crew go to it, by prepping the house, getting the necessary inspections completed and out of the way in advance (something some realtors don't do until after the initial offers start to be placed, and have seen from personal experience), and vetting offers before discussing with me, etc. I had absolutely no stress or worries at this point, and this was before I moved everything out. No one likes unknown persons walking through their house not knowing what they may be thinking or doing. Her crew was mindful of that and made sure I didn't have to be concerned, as the trust was there. The marketing of the house through the website was excellent. It is easy to make a site appear to look good to the eyes, but actually putting some effort into taking some real pictures showing how the sun lights the rooms or garden up takes some experience. Pictures say one thing, while physical visits are another. When I saw the web site with how the house was presented, I actually felt like I was there. Not an easy task these days with AI taking over almost everything we do and see now, so we can't even tell it is a computer that wrote the program or descriptions covering the good points selling the house. Yesenia is a true professional, yet a down-to-earth individual that did an outstanding job with her crew selling my house. I was on a tight time frame selling the house, and Yesenia made it happen ahead of schedule. I was informed in advance what needed to get done, and if I agreed. There was no pressure and if I didn't feel the need to have a specific job done, then it wasn't. Whatever needed to get done was completed on time or earlier then was originally scheduled. The paperwork selling/buying a house can be daunting. Some realtors just say sign here, sign there, this is standard "boilerplate" phrasing for a contract. Yesenia didn't do that. She took the time to explain the legalese, and simplify if there was a question. Her knowledge, professionalism and communication skills are excellent. She makes the time for you, yet not like one feels like one is being squeezed in. She was always there for me, even after normal working hours or on the weekends. To be honest, and I personally am not receiving any benefits for writing this review and have found Yesenia to be more like a friend looking out for my interests, than just being my realtor.

She helped us narrow down properties to what we actually wanted, stayed on listings that fit our criteria both on and off market, and never pushed us towards making a decision we weren’t ready to make. Any time we needed a question related to financing, remodeling, or the background of a nearby property that had sold, Lauren tracked down an answer from a credible source within a day, including on her vacation. In just one week, we received a good number of competitive bids and negotiated to a price beyond what we had dared to hope for. The elephant in the room here is that the listing fee is a little higher than average in SF. This did give us pause, but not for long. At the end of the day, we feel that our home would not have sold for as much with another agent, and the difference in price more than made up for the fees. On top of that, we received a level of service well beyond that of a traditional agent. Ruth’s entire team (and it is a much bigger team than you’d think!) was empathetic, thorough, well organized, and efficient.
