Negative experience: These folks were entirely unresponsive to multiple requests. Demonstrates a lack of professionalism and courtesy.

Negative experience: Maintenance requests are literally ignored.

Negative experience: Literally the devils of the earth. They are great at gaslighting tenants until the owners will pay big for their mismanagement. These guys are the worst. If you are a property owner and use these guys, then you're pretty cool with slum-like conditions. Thankfully the city will get involved when the tenant asks and you'll probably be the one to pay for it. Beware.

Negative experience: Recently moved into one of the apartments "managed" by these guys. Unfortunately, I didn't check the reviews before moving in (big mistake - will never do that again). They flat out lied about things while moving in (claimed things would be cleaned, fixed or changed before move-in, claimed apartment was sound proof when I very quickly learned I can hear my neighbors very clearly, etc.) - but ended up moving into a dirty apartment with broken appliances. The worst part is the communication. They do not respond to any messages sent. The move in process was also extremely sketchy (I saw a difference review mention this) - they rush you through the walk in, probably so that you dont notice just how messed up things are. I'll be trying to figure out legal repercussions here - feel free to reach out if you want to jump in on that.

Negative experience: BE AWARE Terrible Maintenance Response and RUSHED CHECKLIST at move in! Make sure to go through every item in the home with your property manager because this company will have you sign without disclosing the full conditions of the home. We had roaches broken lights, a missing smoke alarm and other electrical issues. BE AWARE

Negative experience: What are with these people? The receptionist ill mannered, impolite and super impudent. You can't get an answer, phone call or even an email from the maintenance manager Jesse. Trying to complain to Ethan is useless! Your employees are useless and clueless! Save yourself and find a different property management company!

Negative experience: This is by far the biggest slumlord residential management company in the Bay Area! I am a social worker for Alameda County and my health declined drastically for the year and a half that I have been residing at one of their properties located on 29th St., Oakland CA 94611! Report them ASAP!

Negative experience: Literal devils- I am a tennant experiencing a home emergency but NO ONE IS PICKING UP, not the maintainence department, not the office. NO ONE

Negative experience: This group was recommended to me by a family member, but I have been unable to reach them. Tried calling their number several times, which always rings out to a full voicemail box. Left a couple messages through their website to let them know I was interested in their services. No reply at all weeks later.

Positive experience: They have reasonable prices and are easy to deal with

Negative experience: Bay Property Group will get landlords in trouble and even sued. They've repeatedly taken weeks if not months to complete simple maintenance tasks, such as replacing a fire alarm, providing a working refrigerator, or fixing a toilet. Often requiring the landlord to get involved which defeats the purpose of having a property manager. The have a poor understanding of local law, such as the fire code and often misinterpret it and even they're own lease terms. Bay Property staff is also threatening and disrespectful toward tenants. Landlords, if you want to stay out of trouble and keep your tenants happy, please consider other property management companies.

Negative experience: Jonas was the most unprofessional person I have worked with and I do not say that lightly. Middle of the word day and he takes hours to respond and when he does he does not answer the questions I asked and instead sends some 5 word email full of typos just restating what he said last time. This place must hire anyone.

In this world… We need people with her type service out there. This is why I give her a “five star,” but she deserves more! =) Very professional and high quality of service.

Positive experience: BPG has done an excellent job of managing several of my properties. Many reviews are based on an interesting story of a positive or negative experience. This is a review about all the experiences that I did not have. BPG excels at complying with the constantly changing laws that vex most property owners and more than a few management companies. Notices are handled properly. Responses to tenant questions and/or actions are thoughtful. In short, they keep drama to a minimum. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: BPG has represented the owner where I live for that past few years. Lori May is the wonderful accountant. She has a positive attitude and is always careful and swift when working with her. Easy to get a hold of and very nice. Phillipe Dela Cruz is my primary contact. He responds to any concerns , but takes a long time to do so and does not do so in depth. He does not return phone calls and there are delays in getting email responses. It is important to keep in mind that they are not the owners, they represent them, and that means they do not negotiate or discuss anything. It is like having a barrier in most issues. They do pass along the owners demands and do little to create a dialogue regarding the demands. Many times when there are issues there are long delays. The owner has no contact with us directly, preventing us from forming any kind of a professional relationship. He has several properties and is it it for financial gain, of course.

Fantastic experience: The team at Bay Property Group are fantastic. From the Listing manager, Portfolio manager to Service and Field tech. Everyone are professional, and are very experienced in their work. They help property owners come up with solutions to not only solve Tenancy issues, but add value to the property. My 2 cents: We've retained a great Firm, Listen to their suggestions and everything will work out well. Highly recommend BPG to any Owners who would like to use their time for Family or work, rather than dealing with the day to day of management their own property. #BPG!

Fantastic experience: My apartment has needed some routine maintenance repairs since I moved in February 2021. When I submit a maintenance request by email or phone, it is always answered promptly and professionally by Jessica. The request is immediately approved and assigned to a vendor. All of the maintenance repair people who have come to my apartment have been highly skilled and attentive. I feel grateful to live in a unit where I know if something needs to be fixed, I have a reliable property management company that is responsive.

Positive experience: My apartment is a great fit for me and I appreciate Bay working with me ! The process of getting my paperwork completed during a pandemic and transfer of funds was easy and quick! the property managers have been mostly responsive via email (Jessica, not Phillipe - he ignores emails) though I am NEVER able to get them on the phone which can be hard in a moment when quick access is needed. They replaced my fridge, with a brand new one, without a fuss when needed however when I asked for a rent reduction during my several weeks without a fridge I just never heard back which seems to be typical. All the handymen I have been in contact with have been great too and dispatched quickly with the ability for me as a tenant to schedule when they would come by. My apartment has an ant problem however they are working to address it. Lastly, my apartment allows pets which is great as I have an ESA dog but do prefer to live in a building that is ok with dogs outside of the ESA requirement. I am curious if all the 5 star reviews are from tenants or owners.
