Fantastic experience: My fiancé and I just purchased our first home together and could not be happier with the team we went with ~Jenny, Bonnie and Bradley! Buying a home when you live out of state let alone your FIRST home can be very overwhelming, however our experience was quite the opposite of that. From our first phone call with Jenny to closing day with Bradley, Bonnie and Jenny it was truly a 5 star experience. They were incredibly responsive and well organized. They went out of their way to make sure we were able to see homes in the one weekend we could visit town and we found our home! Fantastic experience: This team was nothing BUT phenomenal for my partner and I during the entire purchase of our first home! My story with this team begins on a random Thursday evening when I am driving home from work and I see Tara placing a for sale sign in the yard of a house in my neighborhood. I call her Thursday, and I explain our situation: We don't currently have a lender, weren't actively approved for anything, and had been discouraged due to previous experiences. Tara connected me with a fast and effective lender, Primis Mortgage, and the pre-approval was underway by Friday afternoon. We got a Friday showing, before the house's Open House on Saturday. Fantastic experience: If you’re looking for a realty team who cares about you and wants what’s best for you, then look no further than Jenny, Bradley, and Bonnie at Oak Street Real Estate Group. As a former military member who has moved many times both in and out of state buying and selling houses, Jenny and her team were hands down the best real estate team I’ve worked with. We reached out to Jenny expressing interest to move to the area from out of state and immediately felt welcomed. We had no deadline to move and knew looking from out of state is never easy, so we were upfront that we’d only be moving if and when we found the right house. The lack of urgency on our end didn’t dissuade them from helping us out, as perhaps it may have with another realtor. In fact, they respected that lack of urgency and instead of bombarding us with endless listings (which I can do on Zillow myself), Jenny and Bradley did a great job providing us increasingly better matches to our long list of desires without being overbearing. Bradley was super flexible when we did make it to town and did his best to show us as many houses as he could. However, I never once felt rushed to get out of a house or not look thoroughly. He was patient and super attentive to what we liked and disliked about each property, as was evident to us when each time he sent us a new listing it had more and more that we liked and less that we didn’t. When Bradley sent us a house that peeked our interest, he went the morning it was on the market to take a video walkthrough for us. When we came in town a couple days later to see it ourselves, he again met us to show us around. He was always honest with his opinions, both good and bad. After deciding we wanted to make an offer, we made the call to Jenny. As I’ve had to do in the past, I was prepared to negotiate with my realtor to present a deal to the seller. Jenny was nothing like other realtors. She was open, honest, and most importantly not pushy. She let us drive the terms of the offer we wanted to make while providing expertise when we asked for it. It was refreshing to feel like she truly had our best interest at heart instead of her bottom line. After accepting a counter, we were on our way to our new home. Bonnie joined the conversation and did an excellent job keeping us informed of the process and answering questions we had along the way. After the home inspection, Jenny reviewed the entire report herself and came to us with a proposal to get us our best bargain without risking the deal. But once again she presented it and ensured us it was our decision, and she made the changes we requested without pushback or questions. She often said she never wanted us to feel like we “left money on the table”, and after her negotiating for us, I don’t think we did. We walked away with a price below asking, money towards closing, and additional money to accommodate some large and unexpected needed repairs. Even after closing was compete, Jenny and Bonnie have still been very quick to respond with help regarding the area and recommendations for various vendors. From beginning to end, it’s been as painless a process it can be for getting a dream home while living several states away. Again, this team was incredible and took care of us the entire way while being honest, not pushy, and extremely caring. I would have assumed the detail to attention they brought to selling my home would have been reserved for much higher-end properties than mine, but they treated mine as if it were the King Bee of real estate! Some of the things they took care of: *brought in a professional designer to bring max appeal to the home during showings. *hands-on during the renovation process, coordinating everything while I was living out of state. *home received an offer after just four days on the market. *during inspection and appraisal, Oak Street worked to get the buyer to accept my home as-is, which was huge! No back and forth. *Oak Street was in constant communication with the buyer’s lender and title company, which expediting the closing by several weeks and they were even able to sign on my behalf so I didn't have to come back in state for it. Fantastic experience: When we decided to dip our toes into the crazy world of home-buying, everyone warned us it'd be a marathon of stress and frustration.
