We had also accumulated 27 years worth of "stuff" and we didn't have a clue where to even begin. Tina connected us with a professional organizer who helped us get organized and pack (She was worth her weight in gold.) Tina also connected us with an awesome renovation company. They spent several weeks doing renovations, and when they were finished it looked like a show home. Tina had it staged, and then had it professionally photographed. From the start in taking what we thought, we might like to encouraging us to visit specific open houses both in and out of our range to get a better idea. As first time homebuyers, we lacked education around the process, and wanted an agent that was experienced with first time home buyers. Lucy met with us before showing us one of the first places we looked at, and spent an hour educating us on how the Colorado home buying process worked, and how her group could serve us. She was then almost always available to take us to showings, which was important to us.
