Negative experience: This place is a TOTAL joke! My friends have lived in one of their townhouses for about 4-5 months. They moved in when it was summertime and the A/C was not working they promised to fix it but never did. The upstairs bathroom tub and vanity sink leaked so badly that the downstairs ceiling was soaked and ready to cave in. Now that it is winter, the furnace was not working. They claimed that they had to order parts. The parts took over a week to arrive. In the meantime, I had to push the apartment manager to get them space heaters. They acted like that was asking too much. The furnace was finally fixed but now it is 7 degrees and the furnace is out again. I called them 2.5 hours ago and no one has responded to at least offer to provide space heaters. In addition to no A/C, no heat, the electric circuit breakers kept flipping causing no electric which caused food in the refrigerator freezer to spoil MULTIPLE times. When I complained about this, the apartment manager replied "That's why you have apartment insurance". There are cracks under the front and back doors large enough for mice to crawl in. From day #1, there were 4 kitchen drawers missing. Upon initial move in, a list of several repairs that were needed was given the apartment manager. To date, none of the original repairs have been addressed. The workers in the manager's office are rude, they do not answer the phone, they do not return phone calls. I cannot say enough bad things about River Point. They are charging $1400 per month for this townhouse. When I asked for compensation for all the numerous issues, they told me that they normally do not handle any refunds. They told me that there was no phone number for me to call. Instead, they told me to email the owners. I have emailed the owners twice and they never replied. This apartment is horrific and in need of repairs. The office staff is inconsiderate, rude, and uncaring about their tenants. I asked them how would they like to live in sub-zero weather without heat. I was then asked to leave the office. When I didn't leave because they were not fixing anything but still charging $1400, I was escorted out of the office. I have filed code compliance violations with the city twice. In my entire life, I have never dealt with such inexcusable, horrible treatment. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE SLUM LORDS. THEY ARE THE WORST!!!!! I DO NOT WANT TO EVEN GIVE THEM A ONE STAR RATING. I NEED A -10 STAR RATING AND THAT WOULD BE GENEROUS!! I called their after hours support line for help 3+ hours ago and they assured me that they have tried to secure a maintenance person to contact me. It is now only 4 degrees and over 3 hours later, no one has contacted me. I have called them every hour since this fiasco started. Each time I call, I get another Indian woman answering the phone. They must outsource their after hours support to some call center in India? Again, THIS PLACE CONTINUES TO AMAZE ME HOW TERRIBLY THEY TREAT PEOPLE!!

Negative experience: Have lived here three years. Maintenance is awful! These people can’t be bothered to fix my hot water that’s been office for 5 days. The leasing office can’t give me any answers or a time frame for this to be fixed. I’ve missed work due to inability to shower. I’ve had to go to the YMCA with my entire family to get a hot shower. It’s 24 degrees out and they don’t care. My sister’s young children live here. They have no problem taking $100 a month to reimburse for water but don’t want to actually fix the water when it’s out. Huge violation of my rights as a tenant. I’d probably be better off calling the state because River Pointe Townhomes are impossible when it comes to completing open maintenance requests. Do not move here if you can help it! 11/21 UPDATE River Pointe Townhomes finally fixed my water about 1 week ago. Since then my water has turned cold TWICE. First time was on Wednesday and they sent someone out same day, it was fixed. Leading me to today! My hot water is off again. And the awesome thing about River Pointe Townhomes is the leasing office is CLOSED on weekends. Says here they open 10 am Monday. So my family is likely going another weekend unable to shower in my apartment. And these people truly don’t care No permanent solutions or accommodations. I requested reimbursement for my November YMCA membership or money off my $100 water reimbursement fee and no dice. No one from management has even reached out or offered us anything. Can’t recommend you find a better place to live enough. Nothing gets done here.

Negative experience: Worst place I've lived. The pictures they show on rental sites of how the inside looks are taken from other places. We have rotten subfloors, broken toilet, screwed in plexiglass windows, bolts on bedroom doors, mold, rotten unusable cupboards, rotten window frames (that was from the inspector's mouth) roaches, glass all over the playground and more. Maintenance requests aren't completed, and, in the lease, it states: "4. General Clauses 4.1 RELEASE FROM LEASE CONTRACT Unless you’re entitled to terminate this Lease Contract, you won’t be released from this Lease Contract for any reason, including, but not limited to, voluntary or involuntary school withdrawal or transfer, voluntary or involuntary job transfer, marriage, separation, divorce, reconciliation, loss of co-residents, loss of employment, bad health, or death." That's right! Even if you die, you can't get out of your lease. If you can live anywhere else, do it. I have also witnessed them screaming at tenants and being very unprofessional. I've had to contact code enforcement more than once. Good luck! The couple pictures are how we received the apartment. We did clean but it was so damaged and rotten we couldn't use them. When we inquired about the apartment, they showed us a 1 bedroom and said ours were being renovated. They told us the rent was going to be around $1200. When we got the lease, they told us we had to sign and pay nonrefundable deposits and were bound to it before we could see our place. The price also went up after the "hidden fees" came to just over $1444. Then we had to wait an extra 10 days to get it. They claimed they were fixing it up and renovating it. We got new appliances but everything else was sloppy, painted over, nothing fixed. PS They only reason we took this place is because it was one of the few places that were available immediately that had 4 bedrooms and would take our cat and be okay with the fact we had just started working in this state.

Negative experience: I have a friend who lives there currently and he is always telling me about how they never fix anything and I've been in his place and it looks NOTHING like the so called advertising pictures so that's completely BS there, and he has a landlord that is forcing him to get rid of his pet even after he pays the deposit to keep his animal, as well as throwing out bikes and a movable basketball ball of his kids because they said that nothing is to be outside of the apartment complex, I was thinking about moving there but after talking to my friend about his living arrangement with this building and having all these issues with it I think the board of health needs to brought in on this and really go over how this place is not the claim of those fake photos that they use to show it off

Positive experience: I have been here since June and where the staff is not perfect because they are overworked from being shorthanded. I will say they all take my concerns serious and address as best they can. Special thanks goes to Janice and Amanda in the office. Also to Nijel because from day he has been nothing but a pleasure to walk in the office to as well as getting things done. I have had some issues come up but every time Julian comes out he gets it done immediately. Today he and Trent went above and beyond getting me my new fridge.

Fantastic experience: I’ve lived here for years one of the best places I’ve ever lived , I have the best landlords/managers.. we’ve grown a great relationship Jana and Amanda are the best people that river point ever placed here.. I would recommend anyone to move here. It’s affordable there’s a park for the kids to play and pet friendly park for the dogs..

Negative experience: Current tenant. They advertise 950/month for the 3 bed townhome but I actually pay 1,141 after the hidden fees apply (typical of your slums, which this is). I already have 7 different maintenance requests put in and none have been answered. SIGNIFICANT MOLD, water spots all over the ceilings. 2 pages in the lease dedicated to how bugs and mold are basically your problem and that "mold comes from the area and isn't actually a maintenance issue" blah blah blah slum lord BS. if you can't stand up for your rights, don't live here. Otherwise you're good if you don't mind other people's trash all over the place. As of 07/24/2024, River Pointe Townhomes charges $50 for OTHER PEOPLE'S trash in "your" yard despite it being their responsibility. We also have one dumpster. As of 10/06/2024, I've needed my back door lock fixed and it still hasn't been fixed. My apartment has been broken into twice. Someone left their dog in it. My downstairs ceiling leaks when I give my children a bath. The light is filled with water. My dishwasher has leaked since March and no one has come to fix it. There's some kind of alarm that's been beeping in my kid's closet for months and they haven't replaced the battery. My bathroom sink is filled with water and won't drain. Ive had a request in for months. As of 11/01/2024: some good news. They've fixed a few things. The ceiling light fixture is no longer filled with water. My sink drains in my bathroom again. I called the front office around mid October to let them know that I'm not renewing my lease. They proceeded to say they've been trying to get ahold of me about my maintenance requests (according to my phone logs, no. They haven't). The person I spoke to got short with me and accused me of doing something to my door locks to prevent maintenance from coming into my apartment. I told her, no, I've had a maintenance request in for months because my lock is broken. The same key I've had just stopped working. She then proceeded to demand I be home during the week because maintenance will not go into the apartments to fix anything if the resident isn't home. This, of course, is not true. They just came into my apartment a few weeks ago to fix the leak in my ceiling while I wasn't home. I just told her that I don't know what to tell her and that I don't know when I'll be home next. I work 3rds, I have young kids. I spend a lot of time at my mom's due to her being their sitter. I got home tonight (11/01/2024) and they've appeared to put a new lock in my door but I don't get a key to it, apparently. So cool. To be fair I haven't tried my old key and these penny locks tend to be cheap like that. They also LEFT MY FRONT DOOR OPEN. It wasn't latched at all. It was legit open. 11/05/2024: they gave me some keys. I just want to point out that I sent this request on 03/16/2024 and it was not resolved until 11/01/2024. It took them 231 days, a lot of attitude, and one legitimate lie to change a lock. As of 11/16/2024: I submitted a maintenance request for my dishwasher to be replaced on 03/08/2024. It has had standing water in it and it leaked every time I ran it, but it worked. I just would flush it every once in a while. Now it doesn't work at all and they just haven't come out to fix it. This place is trash. Why am I paying this much in rent when it's worth like 550/month for how disgusting the apartment is and how unprofessional and disorganized the staff are. I'm sure I won't even get my security deposit too when I move out. As of 2/27/2025: as much as they refused to fix my home, they sure were quick to add charges when I didn't take the keys to the office. I was instructed in the phone call mid October (the one explained earlier) that I could leave them inside the apartment. I'll be back to let you know how the security deposit situation goes. I'm anticipating "not well" and that I will be charged for a lot upon move out. I've got my civil court paperwork ready to go just in case. 03/13/2025: I've added a screenshot of the charges on move out. Charged for normal wear and tear lmao

Negative experience: Please please please do not waste your time here!! I’ve lived here almost 5 years in two different apartments. When we first moved in things were decent but when we moved into our other unit things went down hill very fast, even with new management. The only reason we haven’t left is because I was a student going to school and couldn’t afford to leave. In order to break your lease it’s $2000 plus every month of rent left on your lease! I’ve had MULTIPLE maintenance requests go MONTHS without any attempt to fix my problems. I had mold in the bathroom, stairs close to breaking, water damage under my sink, water damage in the bathroom because our toilet keeps breaking, I haven’t had a dishwasher in 8+ months!! The only reason why anything did get done in my apartment is because I called the city on them! Even as I type this I have an EMERGENCY work order in on my toilet because it will not flush and keeps backing up no matter how much I plunge it. It was put in about 6pm and NO attempts to even contact me or come to my apartment to help even though it's our only toilet in the apartment. they charge me $1121 every month for something thats no where close to that worth. this place is an absolute mess, please save yourself the headache of living here. They do not care about you.

Negative experience: I have lived here for 3 years and this place is God awful. They don't tell you when your water is shut off which happens about 4 times a year. They take months to fill maintenance requests I went with out ac through a heat wave. Rent goes up 100 dollars or more a year and all they do is paint the doors without opening it to finish. My kitchen is about 4 square feet, there's mold in the bathrooms, the door jams are broken, I could go on for days about the problems with the buildings. The front desk staff are the most unapologetically rude individuals I have ever met. All. Of. Them. This is an awful place to live. Do not come here. The only reason I put 2 stars is because they don't count 1 or 5 stars in most audits, they deserve negative stars. Coming to live here is one of the worst mistakes I've made. Being stuck here for the last year has been miserable. There isn't a single redeemable thing about this place and I don't have a single nice thing to say. It just sucks. Buyer beware. They will screw you over. Count on that being the only constant other than nasty rude behavior and broken shit around your apartment.

Negative experience: This place is a small step above being homeless. However, being homeless would not cost as much. River point is not worth living in. It would be better living in a van down by the river. Maintenance, when they actually show up 3 months after a request is put in, will leave you apartment doors wide open where anyone can come in. If you want to be overcharged and live in a nasty mold infested hole, feel free to rent. If you want any kind of self respect and avoid stress and constant depressive states, then I recommend staying far away.

Negative experience: Do not waste your time or money trying to move into this apartment complex.You will be better off moving into an empty trash can then to live here. River point in fort wayne IN, Management is extremely rude, very unprofessional, does not have any customer service skills. I moved in this apartment complex in October of 2023 and moved out in November 2023. I came from a sister company and was referred by my last landlord, so my expectations were a little higher as the previous apartment complex was wonderful. From the moment I moved in there in fort wayne, there were problems. The place was not properly clean before I moved in. There clearly wasn't a walk through before i arrived. There were dead bugs, cob webs, smashed bugs on the windows poop outside in the yard, as we're trying to move things in.. they had to replace my stove that night, and there was no heat in the unit. Bec i moved in on a friday. i had to wait until Wednesday to get heat! That evening I discovered, the place was infected with roaches. Something that I have never had to live with in my lifetime. The countertops had multiple burns on them under the sinks were water damages. I was advised they would fix these issues, but they were never addressed. When i brought the issues up, they stated that bec there was no service claim entered, they didn't address it.. if you saw the issues in the unit and told me you would address them, why would i enter a maintenance request? Whenever i brought my concerns, they replied with an attitude as if i was bothering them! I was advised I would get some compensation for all the inconvenience I experienced only for my least to be changed 4 days after moving in. They increased my rent, and then 2 weeks later They tried to add extra fees onto my account, stating they forgot to add a fee. When I discussed this with them, I was advised that they can change the lease at any time for any reason, which is unacceptable for me. what is the purpose of me signing a lease, if YOU can do whatever they want in the least without any legal reference to the customer. Oneday, while i was gone, they came into my unit and changed my locks without information me. I requested to move out thirty days after moving in, and i was told I would be charged an additional fee for not giving them sixty days when the unit hasn't even been occupied for thirty days. I moved out expeditiously seeking lawyers now for reimbursement! I wish i never signed a lease with these people. This is unacceptable for this company to be able to do these types of things to multiple people. In all of these reviews, everybody is complaining about unprofessionalism. That this company holds. I will make sure that the proper authorities will be advised so that a full investigation can be done.

Negative experience: I'm over this place frfr, they don't come fix nothing. Window been like this for 2 days and counting. Contacted maintenance line 3 times in one. The sink pictures were taken when I moved in. Maintenance told me my smoke detectors were out dated. But they keep up with late rent payments!!!! This place is a dump from management on down!! Negative experience: I signed my lease February 23, 2024 I turned in my move in Paperwork as requested and have them a list of what needed to be fixed. 1-2 months went by and nothing was done. I called them several time and they didn’t do anything. Mold was under my kitchen sink that they knew about before I moved in and they didn’t do anything taking about possible mold. Exposed wires in my furnace. I called city code they came out and river point waited until the day of when city code was coming to do an inspection to fix what they had. Well may 19th my air was not working and I’m pretty sure it was before then I called nobody came out and it was 95 degrees in my apartment. My air is still not working and they stated everything was completed as far as work being done now today 6/6/24 my ceiling is leaking and nobody still has came and they say call emergency maintenance but they don’t have that. Now I have to move in less then four months with three children and no place to go! They have me and disgusting stove the apartment was dirty when I moved in and infested with mice broken racks in my fridge that freezes everything because it’s going out and painted over mold and they glued the bottom fridge tray so it can stay together

Negative experience: I lived here for three years and I had heat and a/c for about three months of that time. They never came out and fixed it or the pipes in the wall that led to outlets living room flooded. But they were quick to give you a 10 day notice if your rent was one day late. I would look around before renting from this slum. There is a lot of trash every where. Doors are not sealed so you’re freezing in the winter and waisting money in the summer. All the kids out side throw rocks and damage vehicles. Cops always around do to drugs and fights and shootings. There is a lot better for better prices out there. DO NOT MOVE HERE

Positive experience: Honestly this place is AMAZING !! There is totally a difference here with this new company than the previous. The whole team has really put together a great community for us. The only thing I'd recommend is to hold residents & their guest responsible for their loitering and broken glass , debree , ect. This is a beautiful community & the staff does work hard to keep it that way. I feel that this will help out.

Negative experience: This place is AWFUL. Do NOT WAST YOUR MONEY. Be prepared if you have dogs to 400 dollars EACH to move them in. And then charge it AFTER you move in. Don’t expect anything to work or for your unit to be clean. Maintenance takes a minimum 6 weeks to fix anything. Constantly people knocking on your door. Gun shots and police every night. Only been here 5 months and I’m moving out. The leasing office has no idea what their policy’s and procedures are. They are clueless. There garbage all the time everywhere. This place is absolutely horrible and disgusting. Don’t move here.

Negative experience: They're not has commitment of the time, I fully Application and give me Time to leave in , but they change me date that isn't convenient to me, when telled them, charge me $200 from my deposit that I paid . I felt the management isn't the right person for this place she isn't took good to customers, I very when I leave the office before I visited is office I read one of customer reviews same like me now.

Negative experience: If I could leave a 0 star I would. Start firstly at the application process, I applied for a unit that stated it was available that same week. I was approved and applied my deposit the next day, it wasn’t until after I paid my deposit that I was told that unit was no longer available and my move in wouldn’t be until Aug 2022. It’s illegal to collect application fees on a unit that has been rented already. Fast forward to 08/03/22, 2 days prior to move in I’m told the unit isn’t ready yet and they are unsure if they have another unit available. After I told them I suspected this would happen based on previous reviews of their company and this was unacceptable they magically had another unit ready to go. You also end up paying for trash, when it states in the leases that the owner (River Pointe) pays for it. My rent matched what was stipulated in my contract, and went up every month. My rental price was different every single month. The neighbors I had on both sides of my unit, would disruptive and would blare music any and all hours of the day, so loud to the point of shaking and rattling my items off the walls. The apartment manger claimed she can’t do anything, even though there is a rules and regulations section within the leases (legal contracts) that state otherwise. Management tried to go into my unit without legal prior notice, and were greeted by my emotional support animal. The apartment manager then made up a lie stating she got phone calls all day that my dog was out running the yards, that put me in emotional distress. I have camera footage and security camera footage of my emotional support animal behind a locked apartment door, a locked gate, and ACTIVE security alarm. Come Dec or 22nd, unit next me ends up being shot through, and mine does too. Even though per the leases and state law that if a firearm is discharged in an apartment unit, it’s automatic terms for emergency eviction. The tenants remained for an entire year. The only “accommodation” I was given after my children and I had been traumatized was to move to a smaller unit and acquire all the moving cost. At this time the said apartment manager, ended up charging me more money and kept threading me with eviction when I would point out her mathematical errors. A few months into 2023 my water heater goes out, it took 3 days and me going into the office for an emergency order request. I have on video recording me being shown that I was blocked from putting maintenance request in, which is highly illegal! The air conditioner caused water damage because maintenance did not maintain it, and their vendor Wheelers even told them this! I had water leaking out of a light, and still no one came to look at it. I had to call my father to come look at it and make sure things were okay. The furnace never had a filter to begin with, and went all winter without one. It wasn’t until maintenance came 3 days later for the water heater that they realized there was no filter. If you also want a company to hold your security deposit past their 30 days they stipulate in their contract, and even past the 45 days state law allows, and give you the run around when you’re trying to figure out why your security deposit hasn’t been returned in a timely manner. I have proof in the forms of videos, pictures, emails, phone calls, and voicemails. I have everything documented on the illegal things they have done and continue to do. They also are not even in code, the apartment complex’s parking lots don’t even have handicap accessible parking. My neighbor who was in a wheelchair didn’t even have a ramp/ a handicap accessible parking place.

Negative experience: Horrible place to live!!. The company and staff are very disrespectful and just want to take your money and that’s it. They say they are Remodel the homes but they didn’t really change anything. They could care less about you and your problems. Please do yourself a favor and fine somewhere else to live..!!!! Negative experience: I had applied for a two bedroom there weeks ago that said it was available right then and there. I put the desired date. It’s been a while and the desired date has passed and they said they are waiting for the corporate approval. Won’t give me any updates. I should have listened to the reviews. All they want is to take the application money at this point. But one of the lady in the front is very nice though.

Negative experience: Not a great place to live they painted over tape instead of re doing whatever needed fixed they also left paint sit there for weeks before they came and got it and it made the place smell way to strong of paint. I have been moved out for over 45 days and I still have not gotten my deposit back. No one likes to answer calls. And they don’t call you back when they say they will.

Negative experience: I should have read these reviews before I moved in.......i can honestly relate to many of these complaints. It takes too much time trying to get things done, but you better believe they gonna want their rent on time. My stay here will not be long. I've tried to be understanding and patient, but it's wearing thin ....fast!!

Negative experience: Dude, everything had been awful with management. It takes 10000 emails and 193747474 calls and they never get back to you!!! Ever!!! I’ve had to show up every time to get any results, even then out last move out amount isn’t correct . We were told $156 and now we have to pay is $250. I’ve talked with them and they have to talk to upper management. This has gone on for over multiple weeks. We are likely going to have to pay more than we should because of their lazinesss. Don’t move here

Negative experience: So many bad things to fit in one review. People were being arrested outside my window, cops called constantly. Gunshots, break ins. They charge you for emotional support animals (super illegal, I documented all this) they illegally require military members to give a 30 day written warning before being deployed. The office texted me and said they would be doing a surprise pest inspection “between the hours of 11am-1pm” they texted me this AT 11:45 THAT DAY, 45 mins into the window. You need a 24 hr notice. I had two different nails in two different tires from either neighbors or parking lot. AC got disconnected constantly, they would come and “fix” it then would stop working then they just never fixed it again. The AC was out for months and never got fixed and I left. I paid for a unit with AC and didn’t get it, there’s a reason every apt has a window AC unit. Mail box got knocked over and destroyed. Vandalism. The office staff was extremely rude (as mentioned in plenty of other reviews). I will add more as I think of things. This place needs to be condemned. DO. NOT. Live here.

Negative experience: Worst place I ever lived. They act friendly but are rude when requesting maintenance help. Maintenance is also rude and will talk down to you. They told my friend a lock out charge would be $75 but when I requested help after being locked out they told me to find my own locksmith. Apartments are overpriced and dirty. Black mold, mice, broken doors. Stains on the walls from previous tenants. No one cleans up after their pet. Would not recommend.

Negative experience: We almost moved here. Not only did they mix up my application with another Blake, they claimed to have called me about the deposit on the apartment we wanted. 1) My call log shows 1 missed call the day they're claiming to have called and it's not the right number. 2) Seems pretty weird you'd call someone about the deposit info. Email exists. They claim they watched the manager, or whoever, call the applicants about the deposit. I don't care if 100 people watched 1 person make all those calls, it's still he-said-she-said. If you email me we both have something to refer to.

Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would, worst office people I've ever dealt with. Amanda is nice and courteous but the dark haired woman with glasses is an evil bag of a woman, rude as can be. I just got an email saying my maintenance request has been fulfilled that I filled March of 2021. Worthless company, awful dangerous neighborhood. Do. Not. Live. Here.

Negative experience: This place is Terrible, Stay away far as possible ….They steal the money and tell you that you owe them. I clearly gave them a security deposit for 1140.00 total to Jessica in her hand when I signed my lease…..left the apt in the condition that they gave to me .. Now they say I owe them .. A lie Corporate will hear from me first thing Monday Morning I been gone since July and they still haven’t paid me my money!!!!!!

Negative experience: Lived here for a year and a half, had problems the whole time. My wife and I noted when we moved in that the kitchen ceiling had clearly been patched at one point. Turned out to be a dripping pipe inside the wall, which took 10 months to get fixed. Had to cut a hole in the wall to patch the pipe, but never repaired the hole after despite numerous requests. Spent the last 8 months with a giant hole in my kitchen wall. Office staff are flippant and rude, maintenance staff are chill but clearly overworked. Avoid this place if at all possible.

Negative experience: I moved from Fort Bliss Texas due to a military move and was supposed to move in January but found that the place was not ready when I was told it would be and when I attempted to go to the office, it was locked. Later that night when I had to find a hotel, someone texted me and said everyone was out because of Covid. I asked for my deposit back and was told I would get everything minus 200 back. It is now June and I have not received anything. I continue to get the run around. This place is unprofessional and have caused unnecessary stress

Negative experience: If I could give 0 STARS I WOULD!! We have had no heat for a MONTH. They would come and fix it prior and tell me it was "working" never lasted more than a day or two. Then the final time they were here, they for ONCE had a professional come out, because their maintenance don't know ANYTHING about fixing a heater. And the guy told my husband and I, that the heater was MELTING it's own wires and our whole apartment could have gone up in flames. I have two children, one is 10 months and the other is 19 months!! The weather outside has been 10 DEGREES THIS WHOLE WEEK. my children can't leave upstairs because it is BEYOND FREEZING in here!! They gave us 2 space heaters to use and they barely do ANYTHING.! I WILL be calling the health department and filing a report/claim with the city against them. This is not right!! I have babies!! Worst place I've ever lived! They never answer their phones, and if they do, they tell us they'll "get back to us later that day" and NEVER DO! do NOT move here. Not safe for you OR your CHILDREN!!

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Reported a maintenance issue, AC not working, and it's been 7 days and still they insist that they have fixed the issue. Not sure why it's taking forever but a week is enough time to fix an AC which is necessary to make it through the hot summer season.

Negative experience: Although River Pointe Townhomes is under new management, the change instills false hope. I was already reluctant to move in as the property manager showed me around. When I asked if the townhome I would be moving into has ever had any pest control issues, she responded with, "It depends on your neighbors." Very reassuring. The area is also not the safest place to live. However, I was charmed by the promise of a quick move-in date and the option to pay extra to hold the townhome I wanted. After paying $150.00 total, I was approved a few days later and was told I would receive a welcome email. I never received any communication, in fact I attempted to call the office for almost a week with no answer. I showed up in person to speak with someone, anyone, about the townhome I had reserved. The property manager looked up my information and told me the townhome I had reserved was no longer available. I was then given a completely different move-in date than I was promised. This date was over a month difference than I had prepared for. I tried to explain my frustration in a calm manner. The property manager said nothing to ease the situation. When I asked for a full refund she raised her voice and spoke over me, becoming more and more angry as the conversation continued. She offered a $100.00 refund, not the full amount I had paid. I eventually ended our interaction by accepting her offer as I was feeling very uncomfortable being shouted at. The property manager claims that I will receive my refund within two weeks. I do not have the confidence this will actually happen, but we will see. As I walked out of the office a maintenance man apologized repeatedly for the property manager's behavior, the most understanding and kind interaction I had in that whole situation. As he was apologizing, the property manager came out of the office to shoo the maintenance man along, telling him to go to lunch. Obviously I do NOT recommend renting from River Pointe Townhomes. New management, horrible customer service skills. Save yourself the headache!

Negative experience: Our ceiling caved in back in 2019 and this was the best fix they could do after 2 years. Completely unprofessional, lost peoples rent payments and threatened evictions first thing next week. Good luck getting anything fixed, nobody is ever in the office to talk to and emails get ignored. Do. Not. Come. Here.

Positive experience: I have lived here for 5 years now. They are slow and many times unresponsive to maintenance requests. They will not allow any kind of property outside your apartment even if it's just off to the side of your door and will throw it away with little to no warning but they discriminate they will throw my small grill but will not throw away my neighbors kids bikes yet if we left our bikes outside chained to a pipe they'd throw them away. They are cheap but not too cheap for fort wayne. If you bother the office enough eventually they will do something about any issue you are having.

Negative experience: Having issues with our neighbors with a large Bluetooth speaker blasting music being loud and disruptive ever since we moved in, and has gotten worse since it has gotten nice outside. There is a string of at least 10 adults in and out of the building with 4-6 kids living in the building depending on custody agreements etc. My main concerns have been safety with groups of large scary men congregating outside my door when I am coming home, and they are smoking (all ten plus of them which is nearly constant) which is seeping into my house due to no seal left on the doors which they claimed to have completely renovated before move-in. I have emailed and called to complain about these neighbors but nothing has changed and I cannot seem to get ahold of a human. I’d at LEAST like to get our seal replaced on our door so that I don’t have cigarette smoke coming into my house. I am currently (at 11:15pm on Memorial Day) watching the cops thru the window and have video of an altercation that looks like a male female domestic violence concern with one of the guests or people who lives with these neighbors. Hopefully this is something that will actually be resolved now that this review is public.
