Negative experience: I have resided at a Tripalink managed building for a few years at this point. I initially enjoyed the views and location, however building security and management responsiveness are serious concerns. I experienced a serious safety incident earlier this year involving unauthorized access to the building. What is most concerning is that I had previously reported the same building access vulnerabilities to management for years prior to this incident, including unrestricted access to residential floors and unsecured common areas. Despite those prior warnings with video and photo evidence, the issue was not meaningfully addressed before the incident occurred. Since the incident, I have attempted to escalate the matter to corporate leadership and request a resolution, but months later I have still not received a response from anyone with authority to bring about real change. When concerns are raised with on-site management, the response is typically to defer to "upper management", but those contacts do not reply. I hope the company takes resident safety concerns more seriously in the future and improves communication and accountability when issues are raised. I would not recommend renting with Tripalink.

Negative experience: New management (SOHO Management), same problems. Unnecessary entries. Double rent charges. Chump change credits for a renewal that wasn’t even given. Code entries into buildings remain unchanged even after your lease ends OR when old tenants move out which is VERY UNSAFE. They continue to build projects on streets with no parking. A cleaning crew that doesn’t even take out the trash except when being recorded. Malfunctioning smoke detectors removed without consent, which is a code violation. Emails will not get a response. I already regret renewing my lease here. If you’re planning on moving in, have a lawyer on standby because your lease agreement will be violated. Oh and have a camera in your room.

Negative experience: If YOUR LOOKING for budget Housing find a roommate rent a two bedroom elsewhere. Residents Slamming doors All hours of night. Noise is nonstop in evening hours.. like train station. Loud at night people talk on cells all night. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF their properties has the noisiest neighbors.. who won't let u get rest by constant noise makers. STAY AWAY FROM PROPERTIES. No parking. Trash plentiful. Negative experience: I would not recommend living here. When I moved out, I thoroughly cleaned the entire unit — including the bathroom and kitchen. Despite that, they deducted $192 from my security deposit, claiming there was wall damage and that I left trash behind. That is simply not true. The only items left were hangers and a cabinet, and the next tenant is currently using them. Management communication is also extremely disappointing. At 1515 Colby Ave, the manager Zejin rarely responds to emails when you actually need help. However, when it comes to asking whether you want to renew your lease, the response is immediate. It feels very selective. Additionally, there was a time when I submitted a maintenance request for the kitchen sink, and it took an entire week for it to be fixed. I’ve attached a photo as proof. Overall, the lack of responsiveness and the unfair deposit deduction made this a frustrating experience.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible management company. They should be ashamed of themselves for the conditions in which they kept the building I live in. Trash everywhere, everything dirty and stinky, animal poop everywhere in front of the building, front door broken, elevator broken. Not enough lockers for parcels and an overflowing parcel room where packages got lost frequently. Homeless people sometimes coming in and wandering around the building. Management never being communicative about anything. Other residents frequently just trashed the building and management never did anything to deter them. At one point they said the broken elevator would be repaired within a week. They never fixed it… and then the other elevator broke down. So we had a period of time where there were no elevators. Then they only fixed one. Tripalink sold our building recently and I’m pretty sure they were just letting the property deteriorate until the new company took over. They went at least two months without fixing or cleaning anything. Security presence was reduced. I gave the property itself a 1 star review and now I am reviewing Tripalink itself so others can avoid making the mistake of living at a Tripalink property. I just can’t emphasize enough how much Tripalink is just a horrible company. I regret giving them my money.

Negative experience: I am currently a resident in Los Angeles since September 2025 and experienced repeated and serious failures related to safety, security, and habitability, within months of renting with Tripalink. The property was affected by two separate burglaries, both occurring weeks apart in November. I’d recieved the footage of the first burglary and was made aware that those responsible had access to and lived in the front of the building. The second burglary occurred during a party held 11/23/2025 on the floor below me, raising concerns about access control and building security. After the second burglary, the on-site property manager, Joshua, declined to properly review, preserve, and provide security camera footage and instead minimized the incident. During December, my unit experienced repeated utility outages, including electricity and refrigeration, making the apartment uninhabitable for extended periods. These incidents occurred approximately one week apart, creating ongoing disruption and instability. Despite these documented conditions and my reports to management and housing authorities, rent demands continued without the underlying habitability and safety issues being resolved. I am currently pursuing all available remedies under California tenant-protection and consumer-protection laws. My intent in sharing this is to document what occurred and to warn others to conduct careful due diligence before entering into housing agreements with this company.

Negative experience: I was living in 1476 West 35th Street Tripalink property, 1. Walls are so thin you can easily listen someone’s else’s conversation next your room. 2. If you put Maintenance request regarding kitchen area nothing gonna happened. 3. They charged me $500 security and the time i left the property they cut $90 because there was toilet brush in the washroom. 4. Every month for a week wifi will not work due to maintenance. 5. Kitchen gonna be sharing so please prepare people gonna use your stuff. And if put issue regarding that nothing gonna happened. Like i have been to so many properties but this is scam the services they are providing and money they are charging is not worth it.

Negative experience: I’ve lived at Hana Apartments under Tripalink management, and the level of neglect is shocking. Nearly every resident I’ve spoken to is frustrated and angry—and for good reason. The building is unsanitary and poorly maintained. There are flies everywhere, including inside individual units. Hallway carpets are filthy and appear to go months (if not over a year) without proper cleaning. Common areas smell constantly, bathrooms are broken, and maintenance issues are endless and unresolved. The most alarming issue: I was trapped in the elevator for over an hour until the LAFD had to forcibly pry the doors open to rescue me. This is not an exaggeration. Even after that incident, the elevator remains out of service, raising serious safety concerns. On top of that, there is animal feces throughout the property, no consistent cleaning schedule, and a general sense that management has completely abandoned basic standards of living. At night, the surrounding noise—often from people screaming for hours—makes it nearly impossible to sleep, and there is no visible effort to improve security or resident safety. Tripalink has completely dropped the ball here. This property is actively deteriorating, and management shows little urgency or accountability. Tripalink: if you’re reading this, you need to address these issues immediately before you lose all remaining residents—and your reputation. For anyone considering moving here: stay away from Hana Apartments and Tripalink-managed properties until they demonstrate real improvement.

Positive experience: living here for a year. maintenance & office staff are helpful & responsive to me. easy to reach via email/text. maintenance is nice & professional. sometimes noise issues like stomping from upstairs neighbor, but overall quiet building— young couples & singles. i love the size & layout of the parking garage— feels very safe. key fob/code is needed to get into building & to operate elevator. never had any packages stolen so far. building stays clean. my one complaint is i moved in with security for the building, but now there isn’t security.

Negative experience: RECONSIDER MOVING HERE !!!!!! NOT SAFE My experience with Tripalink at the 5817 Lexington building has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I was forced to move out of my first unit because of a mentally unstable roommate who made me feel completely unsafe in my own home. For more than 10 days, I couldn’t even return to the apartment due to how uncomfortable and frightening the environment became. Instead of addressing this serious safety issue, Tripalink treated it as if it were just a minor inconvenience. Despite everything I went through, Tripalink still chose to deduct almost my entire deposit. Out of my $500 deposit, they are only returning $137 — which is absolutely unacceptable, especially considering I had to leave for my own safety, not by choice. I was the victim of the situation, yet Tripalink acted as if I was responsible. The lack of accountability, empathy, and professionalism from management was shocking. Tripalink places residents in unsafe situations and then punishes them financially when they try to protect themselves. I would never recommend Tripalink, especially the 5817 Lexington building, to anyone who values safety, transparency, or basic respect. The way they handled my situation was careless, unfair, and extremely disappointing. If you care about your safety stay away!!!!! I don’t want to happen this to anyone!

Negative experience: Would Not Recommend 1. Parking – Total Money Grab
: They charge $75 for a shared parking spot, don’t be surprised when they pair you with someone not even in your apartment unit or building. I assumed I’d share with a roommate, which makes sense, but no, they’ll match you with a random person elsewhere. You’re then left to figure out how to “share” the spot yourselves living in two completely different areas. The space is way too tight for two normal-sized cars unless you both have a mini Fiat 500 , expect one car to stick out and risk getting hit. Honestly, you’re better off parking on the street and reading the signs carefully. 2. Terrible Wi-Fi
: The Wi-Fi is unreliable and constantly cuts out. I’ve complained to management multiple times, but they don’t seem to care or contact Spectrum to fix the issue. If you’re a student or work from home, good luck trying to do assignments, stream, or attend online meetings. 3. Unqualified Property Management
: The property managers are basically kids around 20 years old, fresh out of college, and clearly inexperienced. They have zero sense of time management or professionalism. For example, my move-in appointment was set for 10 AM, but they didn’t show until noon. I was also told I’d get my parking pass at 11 AM and didn’t get it until 3 PM. They don’t handle conflict or maintenance requests properly, and nothing ever gets done. 4. Communication Vanishes After You Sign: 
They’re extremely responsive and friendly before you sign your lease like answering calls, emails, and texts right away. But once your signature is on that lease, it’s a completely different story. Getting anyone to respond after that is nearly impossible. If you have issues or concerns, expect to be ignored or told “we’ll look into it” with no actual follow-up. 5. You Get What You Pay For
: If the rent seems affordable, just know you’ll be paying for it in other ways like frustration, poor service, and constant problems. 6. Misleading and Unethical Practices: 
Before moving in, I asked if I’d be living with the same gender. I was told it was illegal for them to share that information, which is false. They simply didn’t want to lose out on a lease, even if it meant putting me in an uncomfortable living situation. This shows they care more about money than residents’ comfort or safety. 7. False Advertising: 
The pictures online are incredibly misleading. My apartment looked nothing like what was advertised as there is no couch, no real seating area, and barely a kitchen. They also claim cleaners come regularly, but I haven’t seen a single cleaner since moving in. The place was not in great condition from day one and there were so many bugs in unit when I moved in. 8. Questionable Reviews Be very cautious of the handful of glowing five-star reviews this complex has. I strongly believe many of them are either paid for or compensated in some way to overshadow the real, honest reviews, which are typically one to three stars. Don’t let those polished responses fool you into thinking this place operates as advertised. Final Thoughts: 
Save your money, your sanity, and your time. The management is unprofessional, the amenities don’t work properly, and the advertising doesn’t match reality. You’re genuinely better off finding somewhere else. If you’re really tight on money and don’t care about any of the things I mentioned, then by all means go for it. If you’re moving in with friends, it might be a little better since you’ll at least know the cleanliness level of the people you’re living with. But if you’re moving in with strangers, beware. And if you’re coming from out of town and just need a temporary place to lay your head, this could work just understand this will never be a forever home leasing agency. It’s a transitional spot at bare minimum, because the upkeep is terrible and the property management has no idea what they’re doing.

Negative experience: Posting this here since this seems to be the only place management replies. Let me just start off by saying I hate living here. Please supply us with trash bags. Upon moving in (mid july) on the first floor I discovered that there was no trash can in our common room and people instead opted for putting their trash in open plastic bags on the floor. No one seems concerned about the roach problem besides me so l bought a trash can for our common room (which I really think the building should be responsible for supplying considering their awareness of the pest situation ESPECIALLY since the house rules state that trash should be disposed of properly to prevent pests) and I've single-handedly supplied trash bags for everyone on the first floor for this trash can. I barely cook since moving in due to my disgust of the roach infestation primarily on our floors kitchen area, but this trash is filled up daily so i'm buying about 25-20 trash bags a month just so grown adults properly dispose of their trash. As for the safety the door is CONSTANTLY being left open on the first floor for extended periods of time, I see the door open and go outside to see who left and no one will be in the parking lot or anywhere outside the property; people will leave both doors or just the white door (leaving us susceptible to roaches/mice/rats) and literally get in their cars and leave. Will be posting continued comments in photos since it is limiting the length of this. Spoiler alert: It gets much worse

Negative experience: The building maintenance was terrible when managed by Tripalink; none of my baseboards touch the flooring which is crazy. They also offer sign-on leases then make up erroneous reasons of why you did not qualify. They don’t return calls or emails—this company is scam likely.

Negative experience: Lived in 1450 s Barrington ave. The management and agent are terrible. They won't help you with anything and their attitude is awful. This has been confirmed by multiple tenants I met here. We were charged a $200 cleaning fee for stains on the walls and corners that were already there when we moved in. The bathroom glass and toilet were also dirty on our move-in day. We spent a lot of time cleaning the apartment before we left, but they still deducted our deposit for these pre-existing issues. It's likely they won't clean them for the next tenant and will charge a new painting fee again! If you see this review, please know that choosing any other apartment will be a better experience than this!

Negative experience: I recently moved into a Tripalink-managed unit at 1515 Colby Ave and was shocked by the conditions. The apartment was dirty and unhygienic upon move-in: Shower head and glass covered in rust and grime Bathroom and kitchen cabinets dusty and dirty Toilet and sink not cleaned Floors so filthy that my Swiffer pads turned black after one pass Bedroom door with no lock and a broken handle (serious safety issue) Washing machine absolutely disgusting and unusable To make things worse, I informed management early that I was arriving from out of state and asked if I could move in before 3:00 p.m. They refused to accommodate me, so I had to wait from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.—only to finally enter an apartment that had not even been cleaned. I submitted the official move-in review form and sent multiple emails to the property manager and Tripalink corporate. No one has responded. Being completely ignored while paying full rent is unacceptable.

Negative experience: If you value not only your money but a nice living space, never ever ever rent from this company please. The phots are misleading and only show you the condition of the rooms at the time they were furnished. Do not rent from here. service is spotty and the living situation is never comfortable. Management first promised 3 days cleaning, then they switched to two. The cleaners dont even do anything, simply mop once and then sit around waiting for the time to pass. As a student here, i assure you that anywhere else you rent will be better than this company. Management is a joke, doing next to nothing and if this wasn't bad enough, the company will find outrageous ways to take your money. Every repair request you have due to the building being poorly maintained is a charge. When I moved in, my smoke detector had no batteries and they deducted that from my security deposit. I asked them about this and then they told me they needed photo proof. Lmao do not give your money to this greedy corporation, they do not care at all about their tenants and it shows.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved into my apartment and have been very happy with the experience so far. The team was welcoming and provided a welcome package when I arrived. Negative experience: 90% of security deposit was taken and not returned. Charged 300$ for a repaint of the room, including additional charges for others property in common living area. Vouched in for direct deposit and the security deposit was STILL mailed to the property (which i was no longer a resident). Common areas were constantly messy and kitchen was unusable (fridge filled with bugs) DO NOT move here unless you want to kiss your security deposit goodbye.

Negative experience: NEVER NEVER NEVER choose Tripalink. They will scam you off. I am a previous tenant of Tripalink and moved out on 7/25/2025. My experience with them was absolutely terrible from start to finish. On my move-in date, the unit was not cleaned. From 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, I was left waiting outside the building, calling their office again and again for help. No one resolved my issue. When I finally gained access, the unit was still in extremely poor condition — it looked like it had only been given a very minimal, inadequate cleaning. -The floors, desk, and table were dirty and even had paint on them. -The common area was very messy and unsanitary from day one. -The shower head was missing, the shower door was broken, and the walls were chipped. -My maintenance requests were either ignored or “repaired” in the cheapest possible way. When I moved out, they deducted $847.50 from my security deposit, claiming charges for: -repainting the hallway and stairs, -repainting the entire living room, -full repaint of the bedroom, -and painting for the bathroom. All of these issues already existed before my tenancy. I was unfairly charged for painting. On top of that, when I tried to contact them about the issue, my concerns were ignored, and they refused to return my security deposit. Tripalink is dishonest and unprofessional. They take advantage of tenants, ignore legitimate complaints, and scam people out of their deposits. Save yourself the headache — do not rent from them.

Negative experience: Pretty good but not very helpful for emergencies. The gate door was broken and I called to get help and there was no protocol or assistance for that type of situation. I was told that a door repair request was being sent and that they would let me know the next day. I asked what I could do because I needed to get into my room and didn't have any other place to stay and they said that it was technically a "locked out" situation and that they weren't responsible. Negative experience: This review is long overdue. I live at a Tripalink property and the behavior of the property manager, Shark Lin, has been nothing short of disturbing. A friend of mine who is also a tenant here experienced a deeply traumatic incident involving her partner on the property itself. She had no choice but to file a temporary restraining order to protect herself. Instead of handling this delicate situation with professionalism and care, the property manager made things worse. Yes, a mass email was sent to warn residents about the man, understandable. But what’s not understandable, or remotely acceptable, is that he also sent a copy of the restraining order to her roommates. The order included graphic, detailed information about the incident, including police report content. Who in their right mind thinks this is okay? Especially someone in charge of tenant safety and confidentiality? This was a total invasion of privacy and showed a complete lack of human empathy. It was dehumanizing and humiliating. When my friend confronted Shark Lin about how unsafe and exposed she felt, he didn’t apologize. Not even a little. He doubled down with the kind of smug “sorry not sorry” attitude that proves he has no business managing people’s homes! Tripalink, if you care at all about the safety and dignity of your tenants, you need to remove this man from his position. Allowing someone like this to stay in power is how you lose tenants, and more importantly, how you lose trust

Negative experience: Update: After contacting Tripalink using the information they provided in their response to this review, they ignored the issues I raised. When I followed up, they claimed doing so would breach the lease—an obvious attempt to intimidate rather than resolve problems. This reflects their broader pattern: avoid accountability and threaten tenants who speak up. Original Review: I’m a current tenant, and my experience with Tripalink has been consistently poor. Despite their usual corporate language about caring for tenants, their actions say the opposite. Tenant Screening & Safety: Before I moved in, I was told a previous tenant would frequently scream, slam doors, and bang on walls in the middle of the night. I don’t know why but it’s clear that Tripalink does no vetting of tenants, raising serious security concerns for everyone else living in their buildings. Laundry: There are only two washers and dryers for 16 units. One washer is broken, and both lint traps were removed, making them unusable. No repairs have been made for weeks. Cleaning & Trash: They claim to provide cleaning services, but long gaps (weeks to months) without cleaning are common. Management recently stopped the cleaners from taking out trash, yet provide only one small kitchen bin for 16 units. Now, bags of trash hang from counters for days or weeks. I found a COCKROACH recently, obviously. I immediately brought it to their attention. I assume they've done nothing. Living Conditions: The rooms are so small they’re nearly unlivable. When calculated by square foot, the rent is among the highest in the county. There are 16 units yet the company actually lets multiple people live in each unit. Also, there’s one mailbox for the entire building. HVAC: A single thermostat controls the entire building. This means the heat or air conditioning is set the same at all times for every tenant’s unit and all communal areas. I remember moving in and being woken up in the morning because the heat was on and I was sweating. This was in the Spring. Harassment & Fines: Tenants are routinely fined for petty infractions like doing laundry after “quiet hours”—a ridiculous restriction in a shared building. These are just a few examples. Living here has been miserable. The building is mismanaged, unsanitary, uncomfortable, and absurdly overpriced. Many of their properties are also in unsafe neighborhoods. Final Warning: Avoid Tripalink, at least their coliving buildings but from what I’ve seen I would say they’re an awful company altogether. They’re exploitative, dismissive of tenant concerns, and more focused on profit than livability. Rent anywhere else.

Positive experience: Tripalink is convenient for college students who want to live closer to campus. I leased one of their apartments in West LA near UCLA's campus. However, I only gave 3 stars because sometimes maintenance came later than it should have based on the severity of the matter, and the lack of urgency from the leasing office when responding to other inquiries. I moved out recently and receiving a refund for your full deposit is like pulling teeth with them. They don't take responsibility for the dirt and unpainted patched-up spots that they left before you even moved in. So if you choose to find shelter with them TAKE A PICTURE OF EVERY LITTLE SPECK OF DUST IN THE UNIT/ROOM!

Negative experience: I normally do not write reviews, but I feel the need to speak up about my experience with this property. Honestly, it is not worth the money or the trouble. First of all, the service is terrible. I have attempted to contact your company multiple times, yet I received no response. The environment is very noisy, with inappropriate sounds constantly in the background. It feels like living in a public market. The odor around the premises is also unbearable. To make matters worse, I witnessed a woman distributing random mail around the tenants’ doors. She was extremely rude and entitled. If she is associated with management, it is deeply concerning that such behavior is tolerated. After payment is made and the transaction is complete, there seems to be no further support from your team. It feels as though residents are abandoned without any of the promised services. This is frustrating, especially when many, like myself, chose this location because of its proximity to Ktown and the initial sense of safety it offered. Unfortunately, that feeling of safety is gone. For individuals sensitive to spiritual surroundings, I must warn that this place carries very bad energy. In Asian culture, such omens are taken seriously, and this only adds to my unease. Additionally, I have experienced racism, bullying, and what appears to be misuse of tenants’ property during my stay. These issues should never be ignored. This is not just poor management — it borders on being a scam. I strongly advise others to save their money, protect their peace, and seek alternative accommodations. No one should have to go through the situations I experienced here.

Fantastic experience: I Have loved my experience with Tripalink! I’m at a property near USC and it’s awesome. You can tell this company and everyone working there is trying their hardest to give you the best experience you could have Renting. Every time I have put in a maintenance request or gone to the office to get something resolved it is always been Quick and easy. I have rented Apartments in Los Angeles and in Phoenix where the office staff is either impossible to get a hold of, or They just don’t Care enough to help. But these people care! Would definitely recommend to anyone that has had problems with unreliable apartment management in the past.

Negative experience: i am currently renting with them in LA, horrible company , the leasing agent lied about the roomates being students, instead there are 50+yr old creepy men living, 1 of them threatened me, other touched me. i have recorded some of it. the company says they are doing me a favor by offering another place to stay as 'i am not happy' with my roommates when in reality they have violated code & law. property manager & leasing agent are ghosting me to avoid the situation , they wont even cancel the lease , this is an evil , money hungry corporation. there is mold in the house. the 'good' reviews here are bought and are from leasing agents and not the tenants. Read the reviews on Yelp for honest opinions. Negative experience: terrible I've been trying to get them to fix the mold in the washer for a month now with no luck. My leasing agent refuses to respond to any texts, tripalink email doesn't respond, my maintenance requests get resolved and ignored without anyone ever coming, I've been calling for weeks and every time they just say they will follow up and never hear from them again. Stay away as far as possible. They are so quick to charge you money but will never come to help. They also told us that a cleaning lady comes weekly but we haven't seen her once. Absolute garbage. edit** been two weeks since they responded to this review and still no clean washer. I honestly feel like a deserve some compensation for this. Every week I have to drive somewhere and spend $5 and wait over an hour for my laundry since they refuse to fix mine. It has been over 2 months now.

Negative experience: Worst Residence. I was a tenant in a Tripalink-managed co-living property in Los Angeles, where I experienced serious habitability issues, theft, and what I believe was retaliation for raising concerns. The property had paper-thin walls that made it impossible to sleep or concentrate. After speaking with management, they dismissed my complaints. Soon after, theft occurred in the unit, and I was falsely accused of things I didn’t do. The stress, sleep deprivation, and lack of support damaged my physical and mental health. I moved out early because the environment became intolerable. No other residence I’ve experienced has had such poor sound insulation. This is a terrible feature to a co living residence. Proper sound insulation a necessity for ANY shared residence. And the cherry on top is the most invalidating and unaccountable and gaslighting management who never shows their face or their voice one to one with you. Very big red flags. Do not fall for it.

Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a place that offers privacy, comfort, and affordable pricing, renting through Tripalink is an excellent choice. When I first saw this room, I immediately decided not to tour any other apartments, as I had already made up my mind to stay here. The apartment is fully furnished, and the room has its own bathroom, making it very comfortable to live in, not to mention the price is just around $1000. Whenever I need maintenance, I just submit a request through the tenant portal, and they send someone to resolve the issue by the next day. Even when I visit the office in person to make a request, their response is quick. I spoke with someone named Karen, who was very polite and friendly, and was already working to address my concerns. What’s more, when I visited the office in person, I even received a gift. I really like it here. :)

Negative experience: Tripalink’s idea of “management” seems to involve handing over all responsibility to the residents. Their latest policy demands a 4-Phases operation that we individually label every single item in the fridge and cupboards. Otherwise, risk of having it all thrown away. Yes, that includes your ketchup bottle and half a lemon. Miss a label? Say goodbye. It's important to notice that we're not staff, we're paying tenants. Being micromanaged to this degree is exhausting and honestly ridiculous. Assigned fridge and cupboard slots? Audits? Trash patrol? It feels less like co-living and more like a middle school cafeteria run by control freaks. If you enjoy labeling your yogurt and living under surveillance-level policies, Tripalink might be for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Oh, and while they’re busy organizing fridge inspections and enforcing label compliance, maybe they could fix our broken food disposal — and the switch that barely works. Just a thought.

Negative experience: Can you train your staff better? Can you provide better service to your tenant? Can you try not to neglect our request? Can you try not to tame your reputation by all these inactions? I live in KARA. Hear this: We've been dealing with a broken dishwasher for WEEKS with minimal communication. After multiple follow-ups and waiting 10+ days, they finally sent a technician who left the job UNFINISHED and left garbage in our apartment! See images: garbage left in sink and undrained fluid after a dry wash. The dishwasher still has undrained fluid after an empty wash cycle. Management doesn't respond properly to maintenance requests, provides no status updates, and shows complete disregard for tenants' time. Frances kept promising to contact the manufacturer but nothing gets done. When I provided my contact info as requested, they still couldn't manage basic communication. Negative experience: Tripalink recently implemented a policy requiring residents to label every single food item in the fridge and cupboards — or else they’ll throw it away. We already keep things clean and organized, and now we’re expected to spend a huge amount of extra time tagging every personal item just to avoid losing it. It’s absurd. We're not staff — we're paying tenants, and we shouldn’t be expected to do this kind of micromanaged labor to compensate for poor planning by management. The assigned fridge/cupboard slots and item-labeling system are completely over the top and inconsiderate of residents' time and basic autonomy. I would not recommend Tripalink unless you're comfortable with excessive micromanagement of your daily life and shared living spaces.

Negative experience: Lived at the Gemma building for about 1.5 years while going to USC. Here’s some of the issues I’ve had ⬇️⬇️ 1. Once saw a completely naked homeless man outside the entrance sitting on the ground smoking meth. Security guard at the desk had to be informed of this because he was preoccupied with Facebook. 2. The gym equipment is not maintained well. All of the treadmills are not smooth/make noise/inconsistent movement. Rowing machine wobbles and straps don’t stay in place. One of the ellipticals is just broken but not marked out of order. Fan doesn’t work on the stair machine. None of the cardio machines will stay connected to YouTube. There’s missing dumbbells. Dumbbells also only go up to 50lbs. Leg extension machines mechanism that is supposed to hold your legs down will move mid set because it is loose. There is no straight bar for the cable machine. An exercise ball is flat. The walls need paint. Cable machine needs maintenance. 3. They lock the common area bathrooms. When I complained about this to management and provided multiple alternative solutions, their ultimate decision was to require a key to be checked out from the security guard. This is extremely frustrating if you intend to use the common areas as in most cases it requires going back to your apartment to use the restroom. 4. Car next to mine was broken into in the “secure” parking garage. Also the gates frequently malfunction and are very slow to open. The key card system is cumbersome at best and requires precision to get the gates to actually open. 5. The empty ground floor commercial space will probably never be rented to something useful. 6. The apartment is loud as hell. Street noise sounds like there are no windows. Frequent sirens and daily screaming from homeless people. I have the pleasure of hearing my neighbor’s dog bark for about 45 minutes when they leave somewhere. The light in my bathroom randomly falls out of the ceiling. Dishwasher leaks sporadically. The trash chute has been closed for (6?) months due to being “out of order”. People leave their trash out in the halls outside of normal hours and it stinks. There is carpet peeling up in the hallways. Overall fit/finish is very poor in general. 7. Coworking space lounge had furniture removed and never replaced. Has had “temporarily closed” sign for months. 8. The stairs have had pet urine, vomit, and countless cigarette butts in them. The stairs/hallway from the common areas to the basement are unfinished. 9. The rooftop area is neglected and unkept. I’m certain this is not a complete list, but should give any potential resident an idea of the fact that this is strictly a for profit rental project that has zero concern for resident satisfaction or contributing something great to the community. This was my experience in the North building. I have brought much of this up to management, and nothing was done about it.

Negative experience: Please don’t trust those fake reviews.This apartment has a shared kitchen, but the hygiene is unbelievably poor. The place is swarming with fruit flies—just waving your hand brings up a cloud of bugs. The shared spaces are essentially unusable, and the cleaning staff rarely shows up. Overall cleanliness is terrible, and the indoor soundproofing is also very poor. Management is extremely disorganized—appliances break down one after another, and there’s never anyone available when issues arise. Yet they’re quick to chase down rent payments. They’ve even thrown away residents’ food without any notice via email or text. On top of all that, the management team has a habit of arbitrarily charging residents fees. There are way too many problems—definitely avoid this place.

Negative experience: If you’re considering renting here, triple-check your lease before signing. I renewed what I thought was a 12-month lease, only to find out later that they secretly changed it to 13 months—with zero verbal or written notice about the switch. I moved out on time based on my original lease term, only to be hit with an extra month’s rent. What makes this even worse? We paid our rent on time every month and even referred our amazing family members to another property under the same management—tenants who have been nothing but great residents. Instead of treating us with fairness and transparency, they pulled this shady lease change and refused to acknowledge the issue. When I disputed the charge, they essentially said, “You signed it, too bad.” This kind of deceptive leasing practice is unacceptable. Read the fine print, because they won’t tell you upfront.

I'd like to give transparency to those who might be interested in this company. I repeat, do not make the mistake of signing with Tripalink, their employees do not care about the residents. My experience living here the past year is my evidence of this company's complete lack of customer service and utter disrespect for the tenant's well-being. Roach infestations, threats from property management, inaction in response to theft both by other roommates and package handlers are just a few of the abysmal marks that have occurred during my stay here. Negative experience: Very bad experience. Had a leak in my room that left puddles in the middle of the room when it rained. I submitted multiple maintenance requests and was told it was fixed but when it rained my room would still leak. They would just close them out without actually having done anything. I had a terrible experience with my property manger Shala. When the issue first started she said she’d reach out and never did. Then when leaving, her and the leasing staff resorted to mean girls tactics trying to tell me how I confirmed the leak was fixed, which I very clearly never did. I didn’t feel valued as a tenant as my concerns were never taken seriously, the professionalism of this company is very poor and I wish my experience was much better. Also, they double dip as far as renting units, which is very illegal.

Negative experience: Do NOT trust reviews: They incentivize their residents to give "Good" reviews with prizes (see photos Step 2). Having stayed with them for 2 years, I can tell you it was a huge mistake. Mold and roach issues with literally no contact or help from them despite repeated attempts. Well, unless it was about renewing my lease. Gross. Terrible people, terrible apartments, call out their abuse of Google Reviews and don't trust anything here. EDIT: Don't lie, at least own up to the fact you are trying to bribe your tenants. It says very clearly to leave a good review and anything else to send your way. Second, this was not a during a launch of a property as it says nothing of the sort on there, how would that even make sense and it's not like this makes your case any better. Lastly, why would I ever send complaints to you? You will ignore me just like all the other times.

Negative experience: From food and property stealing, to trash in the halls, bug-tape and bug spray on all the surfaces, to flies and maggots in the sink, fist and verbal fighting/screaming, backed-up plumbing, plumbers, fire fighters, police, breaking of lease rules by bringing in dogs, and throwing unauthorized parties into late morning all make living here a living hell. I wish I’d never leased here, but I have nowhere else to go. Don’t let affordability fool you. I’m charged up to a $10 service fee for paying my own rent, then there’s mandatory rental insurance, that charges a $3+ fee to pay that bill. Fines are levied to tenants who break rules repeatedly, but it doesn’t stop most of the offenders. Screaming, yelling, singing way too loud. Outdoor trash bins are overflowing. There are several Tripalink buildings within surrounding blocks of my bldg. Each holding from 15 to 30 tenants. This leads to there not being ANY parking spaces available for most people who live on our block. Another bldg. is opening next door to us, which will lead to further congestion.

Negative experience: I do not recommend it! I rented a room in a shared property managed by Tripalink, however, it said it was smoke-free and did not accept pets. However, the property smells like weed and people smoke all the time in the kitchen. There is a dog being raised in the kitchen, with dirty toilet pads all the time. I left the property in October and you continue to charge me. The manager Amy does not resolve anything, does not respond to emails and does not return calls. Horrible!

Negative experience: WORST Property Management company in LA! I hear the same thing from tenants moving out of Tripalink properties. It's impossible to get a hold of a Regional Manager or community manager at their locations. This centralized office concept with Tripalink is absolutely the worst property management operation in the city of Los Angeles. I even went above and beyond and stopped by the "corporate office" to reach someone and the receptionist said someone would give me a call and never has. Don't believe this? Negative experience: lived in Gemma South. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. 1. lobby smells like dog shit all the time, do they even clean the common area? 2. overpriced utilities, you spilt the utilities w the whole floor, and they charge you based on the size of your unit, the sale that showed me the tour never mentioned this. Was away for a month but still paid $100+ utilities. Does this even make sense? 3. most expensive parking spot. $150 for a parking spot? C'mon, it's not even a luxury apt, the remodeled it from an old office building. 4. the rent is already overpriced comparing to other apt in ktown. They offered concessions but if you're trying to transfer your lease, you have to pay them back the concessions. This is such a SCAM. Their price is still expensive after the deduction of the concessions. Forcing you to renew the lease for a year. My base rent is $2300, if I wanted to do month to month, it went up to $3600. duh. They try to rob your money cuz they're a foreign management company. 5. poor soundproof. management do nothing about people smoking in the hallways. highly suspect their constructor remodeled the buildings with cheap materials. 6. cops knocking on my door and asked about somebody got shot on Ardmore. where is the security? They claim it's a luxury apt, however they can't even afford to hire a pro security? 7. limited spaces for packages. packages got stolen all the time if the lockers are full. so many ads in my mail box. can I have some privacy? 8. The staff is super RUDE when they reply to emails. by the way, one of my friends NEVER got his deposits back.

Negative experience: This company just took over management of my apartment building and it's not great. The move to a new payment portal was messy - at best. The staff isn't friendly or helpful. I'm definitely going to be moving at my lease end. They specialize in more dorm style/communal living usually, so I'm curious if they'd like all current renters to move out so they can convert the building. Just my conspiracy theory there, lol, no effect on this review. I would strongly advise not renting anywhere who uses Tripalink for management purposes.

Negative experience: YOUR SAFETY IS AT RISK WITH TRIPALINK - BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU RENT FROM THEM!!!!! I live next door to a Tripalink building and I want to caution anyone before they think about renting from this company. At the building next door to me they have drug addicts laying all over the front day and night shooting up drugs and partying. Paramedics had to rush over the other day because someone overdosed and passed out in the driveway. They leave the gates open day and night so you will have zero security and transients will have access to the entire property around the clock. Tripalink does not maintain their properties and there is no garbage service for the ENTIRETY of this building so the tenants have begun to just pile all the buildings garbage on the front lawn over time. Their building is a block away from an elementary school with small children so while none of the above is acceptable at any time it is especially unacceptable to have open air drug use at all hours around elementary school children while the entire building piles their trash on the front lawn while the gates remain open 24 hours a day with transients coming and going with full access to what would be should your shared space. Be careful before you rent from degenerate companies like this. Your safety is too important!

Negative experience: Updating my review: Tripalink management is incompetent. They no longer respond to work orders. Lame. They also will charge you for "utility over cap fees" MONTHS after the month in which you go over the utility cap, which my roommates and I apparently went over even with pretty normal utility usage. They did not respond to my email about the fees either. Updating my review, 09/29/24: It has been a while since I've moved out of my Tripalink apartment, and Tripalink has not returned my or my roommates' security deposits to us, after they said the deposits would be returned to us within a week after the end of the lease. The management has been extremely hard to contact on this issue, and seems to be dancing around the issue in our correspondence. I have never had a more unprofessional experience with any business organization. It has been well over a month, and my roommates and I have not received our security deposits back. I would recommend this place if you don't like having your security deposit returned. Also, gonna drop this here as well: most of the five star reviews on Tripalink are coerced: Tripalink gives incentives to tenants for them to leave five star reviews, such as entrance into giveaways, etc. These five star reviews inaccurately portray the Tripalink renting experience. Henry Update 09/30/24 In response to your comment on my review: I have already contacted customer service at that email address, and you have not replied to me. If you check that customer service email address, you will see a long email chain between myself, my mother, and Cesar, our property manager. The customer service email has received this chain, but you have not replied to it. Please do so ASAP.

Negative experience: My experience with this rental was terrible. The company took money from my deposit for a hole in the wall that was there originally, and they simply stopped responding to me about this issue and didn’t provide any evidence. It's also worth noting that they will deduct a cleaning fee from your deposit, even if you’ve cleaned everything until it shines. At the end of your lease, don’t expect your deposit to be returned—it won’t happen.

Negative experience: I rent tripalink house for 2 years, living experience is not good as the quality of furniture bad. Move out experience is too bad. They charge us for 90 dollar each room for cleaning even though my room is extremely clean after I move out, and a lot of other things in shared area. What is most intolerant is that they still haven't return the deposit to me after 2 months of my move out, using excuses like their bank account cannot be used Or restarting the process. Their shared lease agreement will give you lot of trouble when you are want to sublease your room and receive the refunds of deposit as they will only send the deposit to one person in the whole leasing group.

Negative experience: the worst housing services near usc ever. they only have 4-5 star reviews because they made people write them for a giveaway prize. the maintenance is terrible, the customer service is terrible, i had the absolute worst time living at the property. the place wasn’t even cleaned when we moved in, dead flies were in the freezer, the wifi went out every other day, the property in front of me had roach infestations and fleas everywhere. i went in multiple times because they charged us ridiculous amounts of utilities even with their “$100 cover charge”. please do not rent here!!!! they enter your unit every week for “inspections” (yet nothing is cleaned or inspected) and tours with very little notice. the office does not answer calls or emails as well.

Negative experience: I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE INDEED!! Very Unfair Fees and Poor Management I was a USC student. I lived at 1458 W 37th St from 2022-2023 and 1622 W 35th St in 2023-2024, and both years I was charged unfair move-out fees. In 2022-2023, I was hit with a cleaning fee even though I left the place clean (I cleaned it with disinfectant, wet+dry Swiffer, wiped and scrubbed toilet,...) and provided photo evidence. I contacted management, but they never responded. In 2023-2024, the same thing happened, plus they charged me for replacing a moldy chair that was already damaged when I moved in. I had emailed them about the chair when I first moved in, and they promised to replace it but never did. I grabbed another dirty chair but a little bit better that someone dumped out of their room. Now they’re charging me for it. I was also charged for replacing a screen I never damaged. They deducted $100-$200+ from my security deposit for these unreasonable charges after I moved out. It feels very unethical. Overall, this complex ignores tenants’ concerns and adds unfair charges. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND LIVING HERE INDEED

Fantastic experience: Honestly, my experience with Tripalink has been really smooth so far. I love my room (Very new, clean, private bathroom and decent basic furniture) The kitchen facilities are really more than appreciated. We have brand new stoves, ovens, washers (both dishwasher & laundry), driers, TV, Microwave, enough space, etc... I pay 1048$ + 100$ utilities. I searched for months and believe me, you can't find somewhere cheaper in Los Angeles that offers private room & bathroom with that price. The location is not perfect, but still we're next to food4less and it makes life much easier and affordable for me. Also Metro E line is very close. The staff have been more than helpful each time I contacted them and recently I realized they're adding improvements to our unit like a ladder, stove foils, etc. All in all, seems like they really care about our well-being. Negative experience: Regarding AtlasHouse by Tripalink - there are honestly good things about this place like the spa and roof top but half the time you want to use the amenities they do not work, yet rent/utilitiy bills keep going up. Fire pits do not always work and the temperature of the water in the jacuzzi is cold often. Sucks when you want to invite people over and this happens over the weekend. There are damaged furniture and broken lamps lying on the floor of the rooftop completely unmaintained. Half of the gym equipment never works. Tripalink seems to only cares about tenants writing positive reviews and getting you to sign a lease; once you sign the lease, all the nice things go down the drain. The unit itself is good and new (i.e. central ac, new floors, laundry, dishwasher) but the rent is not worth it because the amenities cannot even be used; this place is overpriced and rent keeps going up because of utilities). There is a pest issue - flies/gnats inside unit despite the apartment is new and clean (see photo). Atlas House still has not done anything with 1/3 of the rooftop section where they promised to build a mini golf area. They don't keep the building locked so strangers can get up to the building and go on the rooftop which poses a danger to the tenants. We only see the property management team on site maybe 1x per week. Tripalink renovates cheap buildings and opens nice luxurious-looking apartments in questionable neighborhoods and overcharges tenants while not spending the money on having enough staff present to fix issues tenants have and keep tenants safe. Company does nothing to report or minimize the occurrence of loitering, crime, graffiti/vandalizing, and trespassing that takes place in front of and at this building. They just care about getting people to sign leases for disproportionate base rent prices and extremely overpriced deposits knowing that tenants will not renew leases.

Negative experience: Lived with Tripalink since living in Los Angeles (over a year now), and it's been pretty decent living for the most part. Only real complaint: getting things fixed sometimes takes a while........ Update. On 5/30/2024, I have moved out in timely manner, completing my rental contract and obligations. I have made several attempts to reach Tripalink staff regardingmy rental deposit, but the phone is NEVER answered, and I currently still have not spoken to anyone. The attached photos show I was a GREAT tenant, paid my rent early EVERY month, and cleaned the unit spotless upon my departure (it was not really clean when I moved in). So why am I having trouble reaching someone to return my rent deposit to me?

Negative experience: Zero Stars: AVOID THIS APARTMENT MANAGEMENT AT ALL COSTS I'm writing this review as a warning to others: stay far, far away from this apartment management team. I've had the misfortune of dealing with them for too long. Long story short, during my time here, I could NEVER reach out directly to their customer service/maintenance team. (Don't trust any positive reviews here, notice how they're posted in the same timeframe) Filthy Conditions The overall hygiene of the building is appalling. Pigeon poop covers the garage and balcony, flies infest the entire building, and the management team neglected a flooding issue in the garage. To make matters worse, litter was left dumped on the street for weeks after we moved in. It's clear they don't care about the health and well-being of their tenants. Unbelievable Incompetence From day one, the WiFi didn't work. Yes, you read that right—the WiFi was down during my finals week for the summer semester. I was forced to make dozens of calls, wasting precious time and energy, before they finally resolved the issue a week later. Unacceptable. Leaking Ceiling and Flooded Living Room During the winter, the flood issue happened AGAIN. The ceiling leaked, and water poured into the living room. It took over a month for them to resolve the issue after the first formal maintenance request. I'm convinced this could lead to a mold infestation. Utility Bill Nightmare Despite being told that the utility bill would not exceed the cap of $100 before moving in, I was consistently charged a few hundred dollars every other month. Avoid This Management Team at All Costs Don't make the same mistake I did. Find a different apartment complex with a competent and caring management team. Trust me, you won't regret it. NEVER REACHING OUT TO MANAGEMENT AGAIN I'm done wasting my time and energy on this inept team. I'll be sharing my horrific experience with anyone who will listen, ensuring that no one else falls victim to their incompetence.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE my apartment! I love the view from my balcony, the rooftop is amazing, security is awesome and always out front where I feel very safe. Location also feels safe. I love how fast the elevator is in my building and that our garage is smaller so it’s quicker to get in and out. The complex itself is very clean even though they are doing construction. Fantastic experience: We moved into our apartment at the Hana October 2022. We fell in love with our apartment the moment we walked into the doors. We had a list of must haves and our Apartment at the Hana we were shown hit 4 out of 5 of them. The natural sunlight, the size of the bathroom, the kitchen, and the LARGE WINDOWS was everything to us. We love our apartment so much that we extended our lease during one of Tripalinks renewal promos 4 months before our lease was up because we knew we were staying. At this point we aren’t willing to move to another place if it can’t beat our current apartment here At The Hana.

Fantastic experience: Had such an easy move in process, Tripalink had great communication and had fast response time when I applied for approval. I live at the Hana and I absolutely love our apartment, the floor to ceiling windows, and the balcony. We love our pool and we love our tandem parking spot underground. Our apartment is also a short walking spot to soo many good food places in ktown. They are very dog friendly. Maintenance response is very quick. We haven’t had any issues in our apartment and we recently just renewed. :)

Fantastic experience: Audrey Apartments is a nice and clean place. The amenities are always clean and nice to have friendly get togethers. Parking is definitely a plus to have. Management does a good job of communicating with residents and making sure that quiet hours are being followed. Everyone in the building is pretty chill and you could definitely make some friends here. Security is nice as well and I definitely feel safe living here. And you have a nice view of the city on the rooftop.

Fantastic experience: I like to live in Nexen. Apartments are nice, common areas contains everything I need: pool, jacuzzi, gym(almost opened after remodeling), fire pits, barbecue and amazing view to downtown from the rooftop. Fantastic experience: I’ve lived here for two years. Never had to meet management because everything is easily done online through the app, whether it is leasing, maintenance or rent payments. The entire place is keyless(coded). I love not having to carry keys around anymore. Motion sensors lights makes my life easier. I just hope the rent $ prices drop. Fantastic experience: Tripalink has been a great place to live. It was my first apartment moving out and it is so convenient to get to school. The building is clean and you feel safe getting inside. The security guards are friendly and they help out with any problems that arise. I definitely recommend it. The only issue I have had is the gym being closed for months longer than they said it would be closed for and the manager was rude and unhelpful.

Fantastic experience: Tenant since end of May 2023. Great experience with and shoutout to sales agent Yuu, building maintenance Steve, and property manager Keiko. Renting and living in an apartment always comes with some issues, and my experience at Tripalink’s Kenmore property is no exception. What’s important to me has been the overall value of the unit and building I live in. I chose this unit for its combination of space, amenities, security, comfort and convenience for both myself and my wife, who moved from overseas and is living in the States for the first time. We love the general newish condition of our apartment and its fixtures and appliances. We love the clean and brightly lit entrance, hallways, elevator, and stairwells. We love that we don’t have to fight for street parking. We love the rooftop terrace with panoramic views (amazing during Independence Day). We love the overall responsiveness when contacting and communicating with property management and maintenance. Short of Tripalink having a massive brain fart, we expect we’ll continue to enjoy having a home with them.
