Fantastic experience: Aside from just loving my apartment in general, I have never had such a nice community to be apart of! the neighbors are all so friendly and the staff even more so! The service is absolutely incredible and they are on top of anything you need! I plan to be here a very long time and could not be more happy with the place I chose to call home
Negative experience: Terrible, had roach infestation for about 3 months that was completely ignored. They would send an exterminator that would just spray around the edges and would do nothing until I had to take care of the problem myself. Also, tons of surprise fees after paying the deposit. Terrible property management company, go with another if you can

Fantastic experience: Winstar Properties is a breath of fresh air in a sea of really shitty property management companies in LA. Michael was my leasing agent and he was a joy to work with! He even left me a box of Sees lollipops on my move in day. The unit was clean, and they even repaired every window screen before I moved in. Their property is clean, quiet, and secure. I’m excited to call this place home for years to come!

Negative experience: Applied to a property managed by Winstar over a week ago. Have yet to hear from a property manager or anyone regarding my application. The number they have on file is a stupid AI robot computer that eventually cancels all appointments. I do not recommend, imagine the trouble you’d have if you move into one of their properties.

Fantastic experience: I lived there for a year and i certainly enjoyed my Stay there. My appartment was Beautiful , spacious and quiet, the neighbors kept to themselves and a few of them was friendly with a smile mostly Latino’s and any Problems i had in the Unit I just had to message them on the App and the maintainence guy came in as soon as possible to fix it the only thing i hated there’s no parking on the street for your guest but other than that i would personally rent from them again.
Fantastic experience: moved in dec and everything has been great!! property management is great at communicating and the neighbors are very friendly and helpful!! Neighbors aren’t loud, in a great area, only wish there was more parking options but that’s not a make or break for me!!
Fantastic experience: I’ve lived in my apartment for 9 years. Windstar took over a couple years ago. I have had a very good experience with them. They respond to maintenance requests quickly and reasonably. All in all my family and I are satisfied.

Everything I needed as someone who had just moved to LA from San Francisco. I appreciate how smoothly the leasing process was as I was a bit overwhelmed at that time. Negative experience: Do Not move in to this building 6075 franklin. Things started going drastically downhill when Winstar took over. It used to be lovely! The ‘new’ management consistently gaslights residents. Constant breaches of security, gate to car park often broken for long periods of time. Maintenance issues left unresolved. The list is endless. The heating system in the building is old but when we had a manager on site, they used to switch it on when it was cold. As we do not have a manager on site, the heat Is now left on for long periods of time and there is no way of regulating within each individual apartment! Just before Christmas, the heating was actually broken and they couldn’t switch it off, we had temperatures over 100° in every apartment unable to anything about it. It’s a nightmare. All correspondence with complaints is ignored BUT you get a lovely letter on headed paper to tell you when your rent is going up - AGAIN!!!! slum Lords
Fantastic experience: For my experience having information thru the website was convenient because I was able to communicate and do all the contract online, or request because I don't live in the area. I feel my son was safe in the complex for the four years we were renting there.
Negative experience: Ever since winstar bought out the location I'm at, everything has gone downhill. The parking lot gates are broken and it takes months to repair. The side door to the building is always open so anyone can walk in. Half of the washers never work, but they certainly spent money painting the building. The former owners were much better and truly cared about each person who lived here. We've had several break ins from homeless druggies knocking down people's doors, squatting in the lobby and the emergency doors are all broken. This isn't a safe place to live! Forget about maintenance actually doing anything. You ask them to do their job and they get angry saying everything isn't. And they continue to raise the rent

Positive experience: This is Mary Bukhari, wife. I've live at Winstar Properties going back to the old owner in 2007 and with the new owner and Winstar Properties since they took over. So far, so good. There are some repair issues from time to time but that's to be expected. The property management has changed several times over the years but generally repairs and management has been good.
Negative experience: I lived at 2816 sunset place for 3 1/2 years almost 4. But after my ceiling fell in one Sunday morning. I was been telling them that kitchen cabinets was leaking for months they said the “fixed it” but the problem would just get worse. My neighbor next door to me had the same problem when the ceiling fell. When I asked to get out put in a hotel or somewhere it the law. They didn’t. They pretty much said it you don’t feel safe that ain’t our fault. But you guys is the ones that left bathroom ceiling open for almost 2 weeks no cover no nothing. I know rats been scratching the inside of the walls cause i can hear them at night. Than they have a bad roach problem through out the whole building. When it comes to maintenance In the building they take they sweet time but when it come the rent they want it now. They be good after a treat but it don’t last for long. The people across the street don’t know how to not block the driveway. It’s mainly uber, DoorDash and delivery people. You have to keep honking than get mad when you do that but they blocking your driveway. Than when I was suppose to do my walk thru of my unit. My property manager never showed up didn’t give me no warning no nothing. She had me waiting for hour with no text or call or email. That really PISSED ME OFF. I took off work just do that walk thru. Take forever to respond to emails I literally have to send out a few times. Just for a respond.
Fantastic experience: So far, my experience has been great. The property manager and the lease/sales manager have been great. The apartment is really nice. We are happy so far.
Fantastic experience: Things have definitely been improving as of late. There was an issue with the flooring in the hallway and cleanliness. I submitted a maintenance request and the matter was resolved expeditiously. I look forward to this building's return to prominence. Thanks to the staff and management for an exceptional job!
Negative experience: This building is NASTY . The roach infestation at The Adam’s Lofts is out of control . The exterminator that comes out makes the situation worse. At least the Tenants are friendly and get along well. This photo is from today 4/26 after exterminating company came a week ago it got worse. I don’t know why They have security cameras because if someone steals your package they won’t help you with camera footage or police report

Negative experience: I've lived at 6075 Franklin for 35 years and I always said it was very well run and operated. Never personally had or learned about a problematic situation that wasn't promptly addressed and rectified. HOWEVER, with the new owners (and specifically the 'manager' **ha!) I am thoroughly DISGUSTED by his penchant for SITTING ON HIS HANDS. I had a box stolen from in front of my door (see image). It was there a total of one hour (based on the email delivery notice) until I got the email and promptly opened my door to see it was gone. I emailed the 'manager' paul kelly MULTIPLE times to review the CC recordings in the lobby to ascertain if the box left the building via the front door or remained inside thereby determining if a stranger or tenant stole it. HE SAT ON HIS HANDS. Then I had a leak coming from above my apartment in the bathroom and AGAIN I emailed him MULTIPLE TIMES only YET AGAIN finding him SITTING ON HIS HAAAANDS! So finally I was FORCED to call the Health Department before it was FINALY addressed WEEKS later! I won't go into the gory details as to what followed but suffice to say he did NOTHING to address the situation in a timely manner and THEN started HARRASSING me AFTER THE FACT. I was Department Head in the Film Studios for decades and he would have been shown the door PRONTO by ALL of us Execs. for his lazy and UNPROFESSIONAL incompetence! PS the past managers were G R E A T!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been living at one of their properties (Los Feliz Apartments) for over 5 years and I am very happy. Mina is a great manager, always responds if there is a problem and has helped tremendously in making it a better and safer place to live. If things break, they’re fixed in a timely manner, the building is kept clean, actually kind of an Art Deco style property that’s pretty cool, built in the 1920’s. .I can say I’ve had an excellent experience with Winstar!
Fantastic experience: I’ve rented properties from winstar at koreatown and now in Hollywood off sunset - honest people with reasonable prices. Maintenance requests were always fulfilled and honestly the property managers at both complexes that had a dozen plus units, were always on top of things. Also got offered parking at the Hollywood location - their other locations especially koreatown have parking issues so be mindful
Fantastic experience: So far since the company took over the building it really seems as if they want to make some positive changes.
Positive experience: Honestly loved living here! The maintenance staff was always super friendly, helpful, and responsive. Jimmy the property manager was always a pleasure to work with :) There were a couple issues I had regarding domestic disturbances in the building and pests in the garage, but both of those are to be expected living in Hollywood. Loved how walkable the area is and how kind the people in the building are! It’s also a lot of fun always seeing the movie premieres nearby. Would recommend this building if you’re looking around Hollywood!
Negative experience: If you can avoid them, do it. Upkeep around the building is mediocre. The quality of the units are poor and lack proper air ventilation. Been waiting to get my AC unit replaced for over a month. They scale up rent with zero general improvements. Property managers go ghost all the time. I’d leave if my rent weren’t so high that it’s taking me forever to save up to get out.
Negative experience: 1221 S Atlantic Blvd Alhambra Gardens If you like your ceiling leaking into your living room, constant water shut offs, plumbing issues, giant roaches and a property manager with an attitude who gets upset when you complain about it then this is the place for you. For the price you pay you would expect competent management, an equipped maintenance team and a clean complex but nope it’s the opposite. Had the roof leak during a rainstorm I had to pester to get the maintenance guy to show up with ONE bucket and a mop. Then nobody checked in until days later after everything dried and the property manager had the audacity to down play the damage and inconvenience it caused and asked me why I haven’t cleaned up or thrown away my damaged items. Uhm excuse me ma’m that’s YOUR job to call in a water damage contractor to come with fans and to clean up and check for mold. Also the items I left for proof of damage since she wanted to come take pictures days later after everything is dry. Then she says they won’t pay for the damages even though it’s their fault. They literally had roof work done prior to this incident because another unit had leaking so they were aware of the issue prior to this!!! HORRIBLE experience. Now I’m stressed out and evicting myself because I can’t live like this I got small kids and it smells like mold now.
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend on Winstar properties. They’re doing a great job in our complex. They literally do everything on their best way, from cleaning to customer service. I want to praise specially Jimmy and Gio for doing great job on William on sunset apt building. Thank you guys, keep it going!
Negative experience: I WAS SCAMMED was supposed to rent an apartment and move in September 1st of 2024. I was told by the Property manager that I needed to pay the company through pay slips for security deposit on top of first months rent in total $2700. I was also told that I needed to bring the receipts from where I got the pay slips from, Walgreens and 7-11, both $1,350.00 each, as proof of payment AND so the manager has the receipts to collect the money. I was supposed to meet him on a Saturday morning to sign the lease, “pay” with the payslip receipts, and receive the keys to my unit, unbeknownst to me that they payslip AUTOMATICALLY deposits the money to Winstar Properties. That Saturday the apartment manager never showed up to the property and I was mortified by how health hazardous the environment surrounding the apartment building, the entrance into the apartment building, and the halls inside were. I called the managers office phone twice and there was no answer- luckily , he provided his cell phone in an email and I was able to reach him. I told him how horrendous and unsafe this place felt and I apologized for the inconvenience and told him I would not like to live here - which was no issue as I never signed the lease nor did my co-signer, but I most definitely would like my $2,700 back. He told there was not much he can do as he has no access to refund, but he will definitely try to reach his boss and get this sorted… low and behold - it’s been an entire week and NOTHING. I spoke to a Jose who’s number was given to me by another Winstar property manager and I assume he works higher up since when I spoke to him he said he’d look over the file and see what he can do when he gets back to his office after he finishes up an inspection, but alas- I’ve heard nothing until I reached out to him today and the only response was “I sent this over to corporate “. Congratulations, I have no idea why I’ve been ignored. I sent over every and all emails, phone logs, and text messages I’ve sent and received from Winstar Employees - including the email I received saying my lease was canceled before I was able to even sign it- meaning legally there are no binding contracts between myself and Winstar , therefore they have broke four different codes and I have a pretty solid lawsuit. Did I want to go this route? ABSOLUTELY NOT, but I have been left unhoused, robbed, and scammed . Why has this corporation ignored me and robbed me of $2,700 when it’s probably a penny to them?? I wish I knew.
Negative experience: Update: I am desperately hunting for a safer place to live. My apartment was broken into on 10/9 while I was home. Winstar properties has done absolutely nothing to keep the building safe, and couldn’t even be bothered to ask other tenants to stop propping the lobby door open. I don’t recommend winstar properties unless you are OK with getting murdered/raped in your own home. Winstar properties never fixes anything in a timely manner. The only elevator has been out of service for more than a week. Washing machine 2 has been out of service and full of reeking waste water for at least a month. Washing machine 1 has been out of order for at least 1 week. There is no way for residents to do laundry at the apartment complex now, and people have to carry heavy sacks of laundry up or down many flights of stairs to take their clothes to a laundry mat.

Fantastic experience: I loved it the St. Moritz for 2 years and the property management and maintenance team were always on top of any requests that I had. I was able to live in a quiet unit which allowed me to save up to be able to move closer to work. I'm grateful for my time at the St Moriz
Negative experience: if i could i would rate 0. DO NOT RENT with them. Buildings are infected with roaches. They don’t respond to claims. I been having gas leaking issues since June with no response. The heater is about to fall of from the wall and has hole that i had to close with tape. There is trash everywhere in the hall. The building smells awful.
Fantastic experience: It has been excellent living at this location over the past couple of years, as anytime I have a maintenance issue it is readily solved. Over the past two years, the maintenance staff is friendly, effective and efficient in completing any maintenance requests.

Positive experience: The only hiccup I have with is that I don't have a shower curtain. Other than that, my neighbors seem nice. The building is pretty quiet, and the commute there is easier than I thought.

Rick the maintenance guy gets the work orders or repairs done very quick , easy communication with them ..! The units are decent size and well kept , over all I had a good experience living at this complex .
Negative experience: The manager don’t respond and on my first payment I have got late fees and moving charges and it was already there fault and top of that i have requested for the wifi service and also for the restroom bidet but now they don’t reply back so don’t come here

Fantastic experience: The Williams on Sunset is truly a great place to live. From the amenities to the location to the building staff — everything has been spot on. Since Jimmy became the building manager, there have been noticeable upgrades and positive changes throughout the property, and they just keep coming. The building is secure and peaceful, which gave me a real sense of comfort. The amenities are top-tier: a beautiful gym, a stunning rooftop with a pool, hot tub, BBQ grills, lounge seating, a fireplace, and breathtaking views of both the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Observatory. The spacious courtyard and stylish dayrooms add even more to the experience. Honestly, I wouldn’t live anywhere else in L.A. if I weren’t relocating to Florida. I’m truly going to miss The Williams, and if I ever move back to California, it’ll be the first place I look. Huge thanks to the entire team — and especially to Jimmy, who is a phenomenal representative of Winstar Properties.

Fantastic experience: Winstar Properties always responds and fixes any maintenance issues. They actually care about the residents and get back to you as soon as they can! Especially Jimmy was the best manager I've met and talked to in LA! I lived in several apartments and met different property managers but he is the most responsive, and interactive and does care about every resident in the apartment. Sadly I had to leave the apartment due to a roommate situation but I wanted to stay longer with Winstar Property not because I liked the apartment in Hollywood but also because the managers are kind and always respond fast!
Negative experience: The worst thing is that I don't recommend smoking cigarettes everywhere. Everything is dirty, they don't follow any rules, the apartments are damaged, water leaks through the ceiling, terrible!
Negative experience: It has been the worst experience of my life! They gave us the apartment #35 at 417 W Los Feliz Rd with old and inadequacy structure! The pipe of the shower was blocked every 10 days! They had to change our fridge because it had pests and it didn't freeze! At that time the maintenance crew broke the floor tile and now they are not going to give me back the deposit when it was not my fault! Please take pictures and evidences since the first day! I recommend you guys do not choose this option even if it is the cheapest one! You will regret your entire stay! Have a good one
Fantastic experience: Jose was great, professional and personable at the same time! He was efficient and had everything handled within a couple of days! My move in at 535 Gramercy was flawless!
Negative experience: Can’t get a hold of anyone. Everything is automated. Scheduled and drove to a showing, and no one ever showed up or even let me know the unit was off the market.

Positive experience: I leased with Winstar for over a year. Apartments onMariposa The leasing application process was easy and I got fast response time. My studio was perfect for me and I can’t find anything to complain about ! My neighbors were awesome as well! The ONLY thing is that it is NOT any good parking because most people have MULTIPLE cars so they take most of the parking spaces! Other than that you will not find any real issues! Maintenance is always on site . There is a gym and laundry room.
Fantastic experience: Thank you WINSTAR! I came home at 9 pm and there was flood everywhere. I called WINSTAR panicking and they sent a plumber very quickly! He fixed everything and now my apartment is perfect! Glad to have such a responsive management!

Positive experience: I've lived here 10 years your company gave us beautiful patio furniture and people here destroyed it,nothing was done about it.kids leave candy wrappers toys knives slim eggshells and them nor their parents clean it up our maintenance lady does she's awesome! I just wish the complex could stay looking nice.
Negative experience: Do not contract with this investment group as a vendor on any one of their properties. They will not pay you, I have several liens out on a property they own in Dallas and their management company centra partners refuses to pay! Been ignored, so as a small business, I had to get a lien it to protect the money they owe me. But I would not work nor do work as a contractor for this company nor any management companies that they have hired. Shady, unethical and unprofessional. Hire a vendor and, run a tab up and go ghost is ridiculous!
Negative experience: After moving in we found a few things wrong. The bath faucet doesn’t work properly, back sliding door doesn’t shut or lock, the new cabinets are mounted up to the ceiling and unreachable unless your 7 feet tall.
Fantastic experience: I stayed at 345 South westlake avenue, apartment 34, I was there for 4 years, never had a problem with neighbors the manager is awesome everybody looks out for each other packages being put in front of our doors bye the tenants, I love it how my apartment have heater and air conditioning unit, everybody's respectful of noise disturbance, I love the hardwood floors a plus beautiful color Even though the neighborhood have homeless it's not your usual homeless even a homeless or friendly, I've helped a homeless a lot giving them food they look out for you friendly and they say hello I never felt threatened by any of the homeless there homeless are everywhere you may find a tent here or there but they move on I believe that God has blessed me with this place for four years with a serene piece of mind Too bad I have to leave I had bad knees there are no elevator that's why I sadly had to go now I stay in a really nice building but the area is not that well I miss my old neighborhood WinStar properties has work with me doing parking I was given a parking spot after I got out of the hospital a very loving and caring management team on top of everything thank you.
Fantastic experience: We lived in Eagle Court for 6 years! Great location and property management overall. Close to schools, grocery stores, coffee shops. They have a pretty good system to request repairs and are responsive. Only real negative is that the building is on a Main Street so there does tend to be a lot of traffic noise.
Fantastic experience: For a rent stabilized unit in a hundred year old building near to the heart of Hollywood, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the renovations, the chill vibes, and security I felt living here. I was fortunate to have a corner unit, so windows in every room. Kitchen was separate from the living space which made it feel more like a one bedroom. I’ll miss the tile in the bathroom and the huge mirrored built in vanity. Great place for people looking to live the chic cozy studio life!

Negative experience: As a tenant of 2 1/2 years in a rent controlled unit I've seen a lot! These include the lack of commitment to the building trash everywhere ,unsecured door that slams all the time! Crazy neighbors, which helicopters, police , people trying to break in, water goes off 2 twice a week for renovations and other units, radiators are broken and give off a terrible smell, very loud as the windows are not sound proof or anywhere near it! I got a parking space manamgers after previous managers rented them out to there friends while tenant were on the waiting list. During that time I parked on the street online to get hit by a drunk driver and filed as a hit amd run. Ambulances, firetrucks screaming, motorcycles. People shooting up right in front of your window. I've got plenty of photos and video of what happens in this building. The manager is Eugene and Fernando was before him and Jose before him. Seemed nice before. But doesn't care about your well being at all! Do not move in this building. I even got bit on my face by a spider in the house last year! My face was so swollen you couldn't even tell it was me. I couldn't even film /work for 3 days! They just had to fix the glass door at front door do to a break in.
Negative experience: Stay away from this management company AT ALL COSTS. I did a self-guided tour of an apartment they listed on the market a month ago. The leasing agent goes by first initial of their first name, “M”. First red flag; no manager on site to show us around. Initially, we fell in love with the place. Location was perfect, asking price for rent was within our budget, and the amenities included were a huge + 1. The leasing manager sent us the application through text, required an application filled out for the both of us separately, and a $35 app fee each. Cool, we applied right away and got our screening report 1-2 days later. We weren’t approved due to credit, but could have been using a co-signer. Second red flag; the leasing agent wasn’t very responsive with texts at all, we were ignored all the times we sent a text when asking for updates. We contacted the leasing office in hopes of a response, but no, they gave us some generic automated response with their number and office hours. Everyone was so hard, if not impossible, to reach. Now here’s the digging I did… I fell down a rabbit hole of bad reviews under this management company. Yelp reviews, google reviews, BBB. The company seemed disingenuous, misleading, and scammed for profit. After doing all my research, this company seems to have NO MORAL COMPASS, and ZERO ETHICS. This company does not seem to care about establishing rapport and a good clientele relationship. It’s all for profit. PLEASE be careful. I’m glad I decided to not lease with this company. I hope Winstar decides to rebrand themselves and do better.
Negative experience: The building overall is okay and i like living here but you have to be prepared to deal with the absolutely horrible management company. I’ve been without heat for three months and they keep not fixing it among other problems. I had to complain to the city of Glendale to get movement on the issue. The management staff is rude, dismissive, harassing and homophobic. They also made me miss a day of work to let workers in and no one ever showed up and i was never informed that no one was showing up nor was i called for them to reschedule. They also don’t listen and fix things that don’t need fixing like they replaced my bathroom faucet for no reason at all but failed to address actual problems. On a separate occasion some work that was done on the outside of the building disturbed an ant nest that then infested my bathroom. It took over two weeks and multiple communications before they would send an exterminator. On the plus side, the neighborhood is really nice. If you decide to move here make sure you’re ready to be a “Karen”. I’ve never had a worse management company in the 20 years I’ve been in LA. I hope and pray that my outstanding projects are almost completed so i never have to deal with them again.
Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been living here a little over a year and are very happy with the Bloc Apartments. The Area Manager Chris and the technician Manny have both been very helpful and are always very prompt when assisting with any concerns/needs! Thank you both being so awesome!
Fantastic experience: Good management company, easy renter's portal and auto pay. Their property on Berendo St is well maintained, and neighbors are peaceful
Positive experience: The rental price listed on Zillow and on the Winstar website is $580/ month, but the price offered in the lease is 20% higher than that, which indicates either sloppy or lazy updating of old listings or intentional dishonest bait and switch.
Fantastic experience: Jimmy and his team are amazing ! We’ve been living here for a few months now and I can assure you they have one of the best managements I’ve ever run into unlike most of the buildings in Hollywood. Maintenance gets taken care of immediately, the building is being monitored and feels safe , I don’t see random people wandering around. And it’s also quite most of the time. Love this place - good value and quality
Negative experience: I would say not that good experience as was aspected. On the very first day of my lease I had to experience 3 issues. 1. My basing was leaking and water would come to floor. 2. Entire house floor was not cleaned and was full dust. 3. Water taps were not working as they were not replaced not working properly. I am concerned before providing new house to tenants isn’t the house checked and verified if all the things work properly or not. Any ways it got fixed after requesting maintenance bit on very first day you got to experience this many things , how can we expect better service in future!
Fantastic experience: Awesome place to live. Salvador is the best maintenance man ever and makes it all work. There hasn't been an on site property manager for awhile but everything is fair, private and like i said. Salvador is the glue and as long as you have a good contact with him youre stay here will be great. Not a quiet place but a good one This review is for 1501 w adams blvd.
Negative experience: My apartment was flooded twice. I lost items and was not reimbursed. With the second flood, management made it sound like it was my fault although a plumber was out the day before and said the pipes were all good/clear. Not taking responsibility for bad plumbing is simply dishonest and poor leadership. There were constant water shut offs because of old pipes and bad plumbing throughout the building. Management needs to invest in new pipes. #2 filthy building -- with 80units the building needs to be cleaned daily. The elevators, front entrance, lobby floor, hallways and trash area are constant dirty, smelly and unpleasant. If the building had a daily cleaning, it would be a more enjoyable living experience. #3 trash -- something needs to be done about residents not putting trash into the trash bins. It's horrible! The rats that come because trash bins are open and trash thrown outside the bins.
Fantastic experience: The manager Martha Chavez is one of the best I have ever met. She is always able to help with everything from maintenance to extra keys and she is easy to reach with the most warming friendliness. One of the best experiences I have. Thank you Martha! Fantastic experience: If you were to ask me when I first signed this lease I’d give it 1 star as I drove from Texas to here and had already signed a lease and it had to Change due to I get one month free instead of the option to have it spread out. Emily was absolutely terrible and lied. But Jimmy came in and man he has made this place a lot better and Gio as well. Jimmy always is nice and very helpful and I can’t say one bad thing about him he earned this company a 5 star from a one star! Sadly I have to move to be closer to work but as long as Jimmy is a property manager I’ll gladly return to the Williams if opportunity ever presents itself again.
Negative experience: I’m a tenant in 3345 Drew St, Los Angeles, CA 90065 I'll start by saying that the management of this building is just terrible. When I moved into this building, this apartment, I didn't pay attention to basic things like outlets, the bathroom, the home heater, and much more being in a state of disrepair. When I asked why everything was in such a bad state and why it wasn't fixed before I moved in, the response was that they didn't know about these issues until I moved in! The building manager, Michael, said that utilities would cost around $50 per person. Two months later, I received a new bill for sewage, for trash that is always full and not collected on time, and for unclear additional charges that he did not mention. I should have been cautious when Michael, the manager, asked to re-sign the initial contract due to price changes because initially, it was said that there would be one free month! But upon clarification, the contract changed to a higher amount than what was stated on the website! The apartment didn't even have smoke detectors, not in the kitchen or the bedroom, which is a huge violation! Since moving in, there have been many issues, like broken outlets throughout the apartment, a clogged bathroom, a broken heater, and more! And to this day, I'm still waiting for everything to be fixed! I've contacted the building administration many times, specifically Dustin, who is supposed to handle these issues. He schedules the work, but no one comes to fix things, citing that the company has only one engineer for the entire company, which is not my problem at all! Calling and complaining to the manager was so disappointing that I was very upset by his response, saying I am the only tenant who constantly complains! If you are looking for a new place to live, I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUILDING AS YOUR FUTURE APARTMENT! I advise avoiding it and finding another place to live!

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of renting one of winstar properties in Koreatown and it was a nice experience. The maintenance staff are quick to fix any issues you many have. The manager, David Dayan, is very helpful and understanding. I would definitely rent one of their properties again.
Negative experience: I am a tenant at one of their buildings. The only elevator has been out of service for over 3 months and the response from the manager and the corporate office is we don't know when it will be fixed. Elderly people are forced to drag themselves with grocery bags up and down the stairs every single day.
Negative experience: Do not rent from this company. They changed my locks after I stayed at a friends house do to the mold, then leaks then there were rats in my ceiling and the never came to fix it. after months of complaining, they just painted over the mold. The walls were so soft my sink fell from the wall. Then when I went to the office to talk to management, there was a dead rat in the floor. Rat droppings all over my toiletries. The rats started chewing a hole through my ceiling. I’ve tried to settle this with the apartment and they hang up in my face and have blocked my number. The manager Flor is rude and she steals packages, she opened my bath and body works box and it wasn’t until I told her it was delivered inside that she confessed and gave me my property back. I tried to be silent about it so maybe they would help me but they are trying to sue me for unpaid rent. Not today. I’m not paying one more dime in the rat infested building. I had to close my bathroom off and I was taking a dump in my living room in a bucket. The rats were scratching the walls all night. I ended up taking some of my things and staying in my Jeep, when I came back they changed the locks. They kept my deposit the never showed me they fixed anything. They couldn’t have evicted me because why would they keep my stuff instead of throwing it on the street.

Fantastic experience: I love living on Sunset Blvd, the apartments are small but they have so much potential! I decorated mine so nicely and Carlo is the best building manager I’ve ever had!! He is always attentive, super responsive, and helping out competently wherever he can! Israel is skilled with fixing anything promptly. The community in the building is nice and eclectic. The neighborhood is a little crazy but I feel safe as a young woman.
Negative experience: Decided not to rent with this company. Bad experience overall in every way possible. I wish I could talk more but it could end up in lawsuits... Better save myself from the hassles.
Positive experience: Shocked that they actually performed maintenence requests quickly. Fixed my problems right away. Parking is horrible though. It's hard to find. Another thing that's BS is that you have to pay for water sewage and disposal. I've never lived anywhere where that wasn't covered and that is crap. At least they do work with you.
Fantastic experience: I have lived at The William for 13 months and boy, have I seen such improvement in management and security. It is much appreciated. Shout out to Gio and Jimmy for always making me feel at home and safe/secure. Positive experience: Manager is great and will work with you. It’s an old building so it coming with old things. It has lots of history , when you find out who used to live there. Good starter home for just moving to Cali when you have nothing with you
Negative experience: Literal slumlords!!! RUN AWAY roach infestation, trash piles up, incompetent property management(David Dayan in specific), bathroom leak that forced us out for a week as they demolished the entire bathroom. We ended up leaving two months in because it was so bad- and no refund on the deposit and refusal of a final walk through. PLEASE save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. Negative experience: Lived at 1310 s Wilton for 2 months and we had to deal with infestations, mold, mushrooms growing from shower, and constant loud neighbors. Management is the worst at this place. Things don’t get taken care of right away. We had to live without a bathroom for a week and they refused to help us with figuring out where to go while they remodeled. Other neighbors agree and said they also had an extremely horrible experience as well.
