Fantastic experience: every time i come by to look at a new property they're always happy to help but i do have a question though i always seem to forget to ask are you guys credit based? and if so what is the credit score you look for?

Fantastic experience: With Real Star I have always had a great experience! They're professional, responsive, and they really care for there tenants. Whatever maintenance issues I had were handled quickly, the communication has always been clear. I really recommend them for anyone looking for reliable property management. Both companies always look out for the best interest in our living situation.

Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – Highly Recommend I lived in this property for one year and honestly would have stayed longer if I liked the area more. The company gave me a chance despite my rental history, and although my deposit was higher, I received almost all of it back when I moved out. They are fair, professional, and respectful of tenants’ space. They never just show up—there’s always proper notice—and when something needed to be fixed, someone came out quickly. Overall, a very good company to rent from. I’d definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: REAL Star was great to work with from the gate. They accommodated our timeline when we moved from another state. Any repairs needed to the rental house were professionally completed usually within the next business day. They were fair regarding our deposit when we moved out. I 100% recommend this company.

Negative experience: Now that it’s been a year, I can get my true opinion. I don’t like this company. They never replaced the carpet. The carpet was disgusting not from me. It was like that when I temporarily lived there. Honestly, if I could give zero stars, I would shame on real star company you’re not real star you’re zero stars

Negative experience: I’ve only leased with this company for a month or so now but so far they’ve been great to me and my family, the staff is friendly and professional, during the process of us looking for a home close to base we applied for one of there other listings wich happened to get leased to another applicant. Not only did they let us move out application to a different address without any fees, they sent us a plethora of listings to choose from so we didn’t have to do our own research. As of now we’ve only had one issue wich was with one of the kitchen sinks, I expected maybe a few days to go by before they were able to get to it like most other property managers but nope, they sent out someone and had the issue fixed within 2 hours. The rents a little pricey compared to other options but you honestly are getting what you pay for with this place. Would and will be recommending especially for my fellow service-members. Update... Got evicted while deployed, all 3 service members in the house. Had thousands of dollars worth of issued gear, and over 37,000 dollars of personal belongings stolen. Refused to let my wife pay rent in person when they closed the payment portal, while we were overseas. Do not recommend to soldiers. Just move on base.

I had gone through such a hard time in my life that they understand and been very patience and willing to work with me and im the type that I worry about alot of things so I asked like a billion questions about things when moving in and moving out and made such a smooth and easy process for me and my family.

Negative experience: They made a big deal out of making me find sensitive identification documents. Okay, fine I sent them. Then they wanted sensitive income documents which I ended up sending. And after all this trouble THEN they decide to ask me what I'm going to do with my 3 other dogs as they only allow 2. I'm going to find a place that rents to me and all my family thank you very much. Time and money wasting team at fake star property destroyers.

Negative experience: Old school drove to visit in person to look at their rentals, the reception treated us like an inconvenience and said that we needed to look at the website and tour requests were only available online. Also, super judgemental regarding my price range. Also, failed to mention all of their rentals do not allow pets.

Negative experience: worst experience i’ve ever had with a rental company. my partner recently died And I was told I would be contacted when the police released the house back to The owner so that I would be able to collect his things along with all of mine and my childrens important documents (Both certificates, Social Security cards) They did not contact anybody (me or his family) and proceeded to put all of his things on the street. So not only is all of my personal information up for grabs for anybody in the state But so is every memory that I have of my partner. I would not recommend this company to anybody.

Negative experience: Do not, DO NOT have these people manage your property. They may take care of the more high-end clients with multiple properties, but they will neglect you and your property if they think they can get away with it. I lived in my property for 5 yrs b4 moving out of town, property and home was well kept, yard was landscaped with plenty of trees, grass and large gravel driveway leading to 2 story shed. In the 2 years I was away they completely trashed my property. The home was well documented with repairs and they are quick to spend money on the tenant request, but they missed to inform and resolve the exterior landscaping damage after tenant moved out. 4 dead trees that had toppled over, washed out gravel area that turned to mud, the leaking pipe that was repaired in front lawn had left large rock debris and killed half the grass, flower beds overgrown, clogged rain gutters and missing roof shingles on shed. My problem was not with the tenant but that Real Star completely missed all these repairs in the reports to me, I would have gladly paid out of pocket to keep my property in great shape and with curb appeal. I only found out about this because I personally drove into town to inspect property after Real Star "fixed" the home to rent out again. When confronted about these issues and being redirected to Isaac Schlabach, he basically called me a liar, that since his team didn't video record all of the surrounding property there is no proof of my claims and that is not part of there responsibility and I should seek other representation since I'm not satisfied with "how they always done things". To summarize, they neglect property, poor documentation and reporting, refused to accept fault and prevent future occurrence then quickly tossed away my business since I requested them to do there job instead of staying silent while they collect money doing nothing. But to show how petty and inept they can be, all the damage they missed in upkeeping my property but they sure did notice the only 2x3 piece of carpet in the ENTIRE home located in coat closet that they said needed a $100 "carpet cleaning" fee. Would have been cheaper to replace the 2x3 square.

Fantastic experience: Brandon, Stormi & Kayla are really sweet souls. Great communication. Extremely thorough and patient. As an owner, this was a great experience, they made me feel like ok my home will be taken care of.

Positive experience: It took some time and work to feel heard as a property owner, but I'm glad I kept pressing. Fantastic experience: It has been a very positive experience with Real Star Property Management. We have been renting with them since January 2024 and have nothing negative to say. They are responsive with maintenance repairs. You will get an email and text message about it. It is easy to use the tenant portal and the maintenance portal. We are military family stationed here and definitely would rent with Real Star as long as we can.

Negative experience: This rental Company is good, when come to fixing or replacing any work order that I put in as a tenant every time a storm affected the room of the house I was renting. The only problem that I encountered with this company after I was moving out of a home I rented at Bridgewood DR Killeen they was charging me for some stuff wrong with the house. Thank God I wrote everything in the moving in checklist. When I saw the charges I went to their office I talked to one of the staff, I told her about my concerns of those charges. Selina, She is so professional and caring, she write down everything. I show her pictures of me pressure washing the outside of the house, pictures of the house clean, recipe of the carpet cleaning company that real star management suggested to used service from. Thanks to me writing down everything wrong with the before moving and to Selina that help with my concern, I was able to receive some of my refund. They still charge for some light bulbs, $75 to put new mulch in the front patio, $250 on a professional parcial cleaning by the way the house was dirty when I received it. My recommendation is you moving to any house handle by real star management , please write down everything you see wrong with the house, take pictures, videos in what condition the house was turned in to you. Save those videos and pictures, also as a tenant make sure if every time a hail storm affects the house report it to them, if any brake in the place a work order this will prevent them to charge for anything. My suggestion to Real star management before charging a tenant after moving out please check the video that your company made before the new tenant move in and compare it to the new video after the tenant move out. Overall this company is good. .

Fantastic experience: The Real Star Property Management Team was very responsive to any and all of our needs. By using the periodic self rental home inspection, it gave us the time to take photos of the condition of the home over a 30 day time frame. This was definitely much better than having someone from the office coming in to take photos. Our privacy was taken into consideration by using this type of inspection.

Fantastic experience: Rented with them for a couple years while stationed at Hood, (Cavazos). All the work orders were super fast and convenient. The most impressive thing was that I was not expecting to get my deposit back but I did. Great company to rent from!!!

Fantastic experience: We have lived here for 8 months and this management company has been the best I’ve ever dealt with!!! Our fridge broke and it only took them 3 days to get us a brand new one !! That’s unheard of . Plus they are always glad to help and so sweet that is another unheard thing from most management companies. We love them!! I highly recommend renting from them .

Fantastic experience: The staff at Real Star was nothing short of highly competent, extremely professional, and genuinely kind and helpful. I recently moved from Virginia to Texas and when I first began looking for a property management company, I was a bit discouraged. I spoke with 3 individuals from 3 other companies and they all seemed to be put off by my unique circumstances, incompetent to my questions, and/or not interested in assisting me in any way. I honestly stumbled across Real Star when I was looking at properties on a rental website. When I called I was greeted by a clearly competent and genuinely kind individual who took the time to listen to my situation and then responded with answers and "solutions" that would assist me in the rental process. From there, things continued to be wonderful. Absolutely every individual that I interacted with was just as knowledgeable as the last, and in the rare case that someone did not know the answer to an issue, they admitted it honestly and then proceeded to find someone who did know the answer. I cannot thank the staff at Real Star enough for just simply being genuinely kind individuals. They made the entire process effortless and stress free. I gave them 5 stars, but if I could, I would give each one of those five stars, five stars.....! BRAVO TO THE TEAM AT REAL STAR......

Negative experience: Friendly workers, but when I talked to a manager and said some of their management fees were higher than other rental agencies he hung up on me..... Yeah, hard pass on a business that would do that.

We absolutely loved the property from day one and they were a wonderful company to rent from. At move in, the house was very clean and the staff was attentive to any questions we had. Fantastic experience: I am an out-of-state military family knowing absolutely nothing about the real estate situation in Killeen, TX, and totally took a chance with REAL Star Property Management. Their overall service and attention was exactly what you would expect from a top tier management company. Anytime we had an issue with the house, whether cosmetic or with an appliance, they always had someone out to service our needs within 24 hours - even during holidays. During one of the freezes that central Texas experienced over Christmas break 2022-2023, we had a minor pipe burst, and someone was in the house immediately (once the pipe burst was made aware to us) to not only turn off the water and stop the leak, but also to take our wet belongings to the garage and set them up to start drying - this really helped us when we came back into town having dry items as well as a fixed pipe. It was like it didn't even happen. A few team members we loved working with was Brian, Karla, and Aron, but everyone was wonderful. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could - I strongly, strongly recommend.

They have an easy to use online bill pay system as well as maintenance request platform. I think the homes they manage are reasonably priced but each experience depends on the homeowner.

Fantastic experience: I was a renter for 6 years with Real Star. They are the best Property Management company. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Any maintenance issues reported would be addressed in a day and sometimes the same day. Depending on when the issue was reported. I had a issue with my garage door not coming down sometimes because of the sensor. The company Real Star used would contact me immediately and send someone out. Sometimes they had to make an additional trip the same day just to adjust the sensor. But they to where friendly and would explain what they were doing. If anything needed to be replaced that was done. Maintenance did not try and patch things together trying to be cheap. When it comes time to rent again I will definitely be reaching out to Real Star.

In the house hunting stage they are great but once you are a renter it’s difficult to get questions answered as their focus seems to be making sure the properties are rented. Maintenance is fast for repairs. If I could give 4.5 stars that’s what I’d give them.

Negative experience: Terrible rental company who charges you double and does not give you your money back! They DO NOT care about their customers or military veterans. Their online system charged us double twice, which made it financially difficult for two months for our family. I will never trust this company and we are looking to get out of our contract as soon as possible.

Fantastic experience: I generally prefer to do my home rental direct from the owner, as I have done my whole life. Initially I was worried that I would be yet another horror story of having a bad experience with a company. However this has not been the case with Realstar. They have been great, any time I have had an issue, the scheduling system has been super easy to use and the technician has always been very professional. Great experience, I've been with Realstar for 4 months now, zero complaints!

Maintenance requests were addressed in a timely manner & making payments was easy. I only wish they didn't require soo much to get our deposit back. We did get ours back, but we did a lot of work and had to pay for professional house cleaning & pest control before we moved out. This made it a stressful and expensive move.

Fantastic experience: Our time with Real Star Property Management was a pleasant one. We stayed in their rental property for 4 yrs. They were really prompt with maintenance requests and were understanding when we were handling the uncertain transition of purchasing our own home as this was around the same time we were due to renew or move. I don’t know if it matters to most but it could just be me as the rentee and my respect for handling property that’s not mine but I feel Real Star makes sure that the owner’s property is taken care of during the rentee’s stay. Real Star would have scheduled walkthrough’s of the property every couple of months. I do not recall this process being apart of the contract (I’m from out of state and typically organizations do walkthroughs during a persons stay when government assistance funds are involved which we were not involved with), it was very weird but if I was the owner of said property, I could appreciate it as I would want to know my home is being taken care of. We were also able to get our deposit back in a timely manner. If/ when we ever decide to rent out our property, we will definitely use them.

Fantastic experience: For those who rely on your spouses' income and less than perfect credit scores. I highly recommend Real Star Property Management to rent. I love that they work on case by case basis concerning your financial and credit situation. They were able to help my family with a decent house to live and fits within our budget.

Fantastic experience: Prior to becoming a tenant, Real Star Property were very communicative, responsive, courteous and understanding to my needs which were done mostly through emails because we weren’t living in Killeen at the time. Real Star Team made our renting transition to and from the property a smooth, quick, and easy process! Any maintenance needs were processed in a timely manner and the process was simple.. it was just an overall great experience for us. Anyone who’s looking to rent any properties in the Killeen area, should definitely rent with Real Star Property of Killeen.

Negative experience: They don’t care about their tenants, AT ALL! We read the reviews and saw some of the warnings but we’re giving them the benefit of the doubt. The day we walked in we saw a dead roach in the floor, hair strands in the fridge/freezer, on the bathroom wall by the tub. The back room had to stay close because it smelled like a dog or maybe a human both defacted and urined in it. It took weeks to get rid of the smell and it was a embarrassment when we had people visit us and witness that. They don’t even deserve a star but apparently you can’t post without adding one. We are so disappointed, disrespected and embarrassed.

Fantastic experience: April 2, 2022 will mark 4 years renting from them and they have been a very good rental agency. Whenever we have had problems they try to fix it as quickly as possible. The only complaint is that when they come to do the inspections they don't check the outside structure well enough. We ended up having a hole in part of the roof (I have no idea when the roof was last inspected) which led to the ceiling collapsing in my mother's (78 yrs old) room over her desk while she was sitting at it. We were told by the man who came to work on it that the roof had dry rot (did not see this myself) and it was during a time of heavy rain. We would definitely rent from them again because they are the best agency we have EVER rented from.

Fantastic experience: We rented through Real Star for two years. They were our third rental company we rented through while in Texas and they were by far the best! They were very responsive when we submitted work orders and always very courteous and professional to deal with. They were also very fair on the move out expenses and working with our homeowner to facilitate our early move out. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to rent in Texas.

Negative experience: If you move here don’t complain about their maintenance service regardless if it’s really bad , I still have a Master Shower I can’t shower on because they have not fixed the issue. Sadly I have complained our two year lease is up and they will not renew . Why because it’s not about complaining you have a tenant renting a house for 1200.00 never late on the rent you speak firmly and they still don’t care . I was warned by how they are very SHADY but I thought we be ok. Nope we are now completing our lease by November and still a broken shower. I will not rent from them they might have high ratings but at the end they don’t deserve not even a two star. Sorry but be extra careful renting from them. The staff can be nice and friendly but they don’t fix what ever you are going to rent. So do not let friendly get you.

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of renting through REAL Star Property Management LLC for just over two years. Our experience was absolutely wonderful, the staff is friendly, professional and maintenance requests were addressed promptly and effectively. Having the peace of mind while renting, knowing they are a phone call/text away and address any issues or questions promptly and professionally was a relief. All in all, you definitely won't be disappointed if you chose to work with REAL Star Property Management.

Negative experience: Tenants beware!! I'm a former resident of one of the properties in Killeen. My husband and I moved in the house AS IS, and had flaws such as paint covering the guest bathroom and mismatched paint on the walls. We marked the deficiencies, and thought there would be no difficulties when leaving. We were wrong. When departing, we were given a list of standards that I have never seen anywhere before; the carpets had to be professionally steam-cleaned, with receipt. There needed to be pest control performed, with receipt, and we were highly encouraged to use a professional cleaning company for the house. To summarize, they want you to have the house prepared to open house standards. You'll either spend the equivalent of your security deposit to reach those standards, or see it deducted after you leave. They do NOT do pre-inspections either, so you have no idea how well you've done until the bill comes. I've been in multiple houses in various countries over the last 16 years and have never been through anything like this. As an added PS, right before we left we were informed that a previous resident had committed suicide in one of the bathrooms; we had no idea about this, and the management company said that they were unaware as well, but I'm not so sure.

Fantastic experience: REAL Star was a great company to rent from, my siblings and I could not find a company to work with us because of roommate policies, REAL Star was the ONLY company that allowed us to rent together. They were very responsive to any work order we put in within a day, and their staff were always professional and timely to respond to calls, emails and texts. Though we only rented for a year I would absolutely recommend them because I would have continued to rent from them had I not moved out of state. They were helpful from the time before I first moved in until the time I had moved out and they did not overcharge on pet fees unlike their competition. If I ever move back to the area, I would definitely rent from them again.

Fantastic experience: I have rented with Real Star for the 5 out of 6 years I've lived in Texas. They have been amazing since day one. I can't rave enough about them. Everyone that I've had come into contact with has always been a pleasure to deal with. Karla, Brian and Isaac were always very responsive when I needed them and I felt like they cared about me as a tenant. I think I only had to call maintenance 3/4 times in the 5 years and my issues were always handled promptly. This really is an amazing company to rent from!

Fantastic experience: REAL Star Property Management should have NO LESS than a 5 STAR overall rating! This team has given me honest, exceptional, professional service from the very beginning. Brian has worked with me and is STILL helping me try to find a home that I AM HAPPY with. Not to mention they're very responsive via phone, text, and email even during this hectic and stressfull time with all the influx of people to the area scrambling to find a home. It's very discouraging to realize that you wasted time and money on an active, listed property (on the company's website), only to find out they failed to mention that there are 8 other applicants ahead of you ...AFTER you've paid their "non-refundable" application fee ...and if they don't have anything else to offer you that you're interested in, then it's "oh well, thanks for stopping by!" ...yeah, you just got swindled. So if you've encountered rude, unprofessional, misleading property management companies in the Killeen area like I have, and are just tired of all the BS... then REAL Star Property Management is the only one's you need to call.

Fantastic experience: My wife children and I lived in a home managed by Real Star for nearly 4 years, and we highly recommend renting from Real Star. If you're a responsible renter who wants fast service when things go wrong, then you will be amazed at how quickly this company reacts to issues with your home. The maintenance team is phenomenal, and they are always there when you need them. The property management office is extremely responsive, flexible, and helpful with any other issues you may have. Our home happened to be slightly older which comes with inevitable failures in equipment, but we never once had to worry about those issues impacting the way we lived, as Real Star communicates rapidly between the home owner, their own maintenance team, and local repair companies to take care of those issues faster than you'd every imagine possible. If you're renting in central Texas, then use Real Star.

Negative experience: Hello I am a former soldier receiving disability. I live on a fixed income. I would not recommend this company to any veterans and here are my reasons. Paid a application fee no call even after they said they would call. Had to call myself multiple times, with very little help other than go to website. Since the Covid everything is online and this company is doing their job even less now, that they can just tell you to go on website. Also some listings on website aren’t even the same property when you get to house. Wast of an application fee also they take days to get back with you on your background check so keep in mind if you need a place quick.

Fantastic experience: Having lived all over the US and abroad and rented at most places, I can say that the professionals at REAL Star stand out in their responsiveness to issues in the home, ease of move-in and clearing procedures, and affordability for their rentals. Having been burned a number of times in the past, it was refreshing to experience a property management team doing it the right way!

Fantastic experience: We just finished a move out inspection and rental with the Real Star team and had a great experience. They were always very responsive to questions, have an excellent tenant portal, and gave a very detailed move out inspection sheet. We opted to do all cleaning on our own and finished an inspection with a full deposit return. We made sure we took good care of the property and they made sure to keep us informed on what to expect as we waited for close out. As far as renting goes, excellent and easy experience for the changing needs of our military family.

Fantastic experience: I can't rate the company yet on service after move in but would like to give a big shout out to Kati, a leasing manager there. This move has been a trial and error with COVID and not being able to just be in the same town to view houses. We are now 3 months into our search and Kati has dealt with my constant mind changing and picky behavior like a champ! She has been wonderful and super helpful through this all. I work in Property Management and I know how difficult I probably was to deal with during this but she never let it show! Thanks, Kati for all you do! Fantastic experience: I rented a house with Real Star for about a year and their service was amazing. I the maintenance team is the most professional I have encountered in 10 years of renting. The move-out process was painless. Highly recommend.
