Fantastic experience: Bubba came and fixed our garbage disposal today in just a few quick minutes. He was professional, respectful of our property, and explained exactly what the issue was in a way that was easy to understand. He worked efficiently and left the area clean once he was done. It’s clear he knows what he’s doing and takes pride in his work. We truly appreciate the fast and reliable service and would absolutely recommend Bubba to anyone needing repairs.

Fantastic experience: Claire and her team made our viewing and our lease very easy. We were out of town and were able to do everything electronically. I had tons of questions and Claire was quick to answer them all and give great recommendations.

Negative experience: Do not go through this company. It is shady as it gets. They offer two months free rent on a house but want to pick your move in day even when you specify the day. Then use a month as free rent with only 8 days left in that month. Beware of this company. That's as crooked as it gets. If you read the response they posted it says exactly what I said above. It doesn't help that when I spoke to the realtor she said she would get back to me after speaking to her manager. We only got cancelation emails after this. If we are paying the deposit within 24 hours for the date we choose to move in, the company is not holding property. This is very shady business practices and I have reported to every agency I possibly can. Beware of this place. I am not the first to post something like this.

Fantastic experience: I had Bubba come and fix my sink as the faucet has some bad cracks in it and was leaking everywhere and he came and replaced the whole set up. He was very sweet and respectful and was nice with my dogs as well. Of course I had to put them away but my dogs are my children and him being nice to them really sold me haha! If I need any more work done, I’m definitely asking for Bubba. He was fast and efficient!

Fantastic experience: Bubba in maintenance did a wonderful job going above and beyond to make sure the wiring was done correct and that the outlet was safe to use by checking it couple times and that I wouldn’t have more issues he’s always on top of any problems with a great attitude

Fantastic experience: Edit: 11/25/25 I just had James and Buba come to fix/change my doorknob and rekey it. James again was sweet and so was Bubba. If you need maintenance done definitely with doors and doorknobs ask if you can have them. Bubba is also a locksmith so makes it easier than having to wait for another person to come over. Highly recommend both of them!! Oct 2025 James came over to fix the door at my son's apartment, a lot of the people who you tend to have work for you are as fun as a wet blanket. James was really nice and he spoke, not just stayed quiet. He didn't have an attitude like some people, just seems like a great guy. If you can request someone to work on your property, ask for James. He won't let you down!!!

Fantastic experience: Hunter is a friendly always helpful company that is the least intrusive. I don't feel like I'm constantly reminded it someone else's home which makes renting a little easier to cope with . The maintenance staff is great and the new guy James is very competent and safety minded which also helps to ease any worry I have living in a remodeled older home.

Very impressed that she knew so much and it wasn’t even her job. We will be renting from Hunter Rentals when the time comes. Thank you Honey outstanding job.

Fantastic experience: I've been with them for about 5-6 years now, they worked with me to initially get the place, and since then, I haven't had many issues as far as service goes. Staff and maintenance are usually quick with responding to requests. Update: maintenance response has gotten a lot better, James and Daniel came and knocked out 2 requests, and I put them in 20min prior, the same day...I really appreciate them and whole team.

Negative experience: This rental company very clearly price gouges service members. My partner lived at one of their properties and took excellent care of it throughout his entire lease. After relocating, he turned in his keys weeks ago and was still hit with a $700+ bill AFTER they kept his security deposit. Among the outrageous charges was a $40 fee for a “dirty air filter”, which we had literally replaced minutes before turning in the keys. They also claimed nearly $2,000 for “repainting,” as if the entire residence needed to be completely redone from top to bottom, when only a few areas could have used touch-ups. He was a respectful, quiet tenant who never complained (even with constant loud noise from neighbors, and other questionable activity from neighbors). To be treated this way after leaving the property in great shape is completely unacceptable. Would not recommend this company unless you want to be charged ridiculous amounts for no reason.

Negative experience: If you want your deposit back do not rent with this company. Charged for “damages” for paint to repaint the unit when the unit wasn’t even freshly painted when I moved in and is documented. Took the deposit and $500+ on top of that. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: I called to find out about potentially renting when my lease is up. I spoke with a woman named Honey and she was very helpful. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about the properties and different areas in Killeen Texas.

Negative experience: My family is currently in one of their properties. EVERY time is rains water FLOWS into the home it has yet to fixed. They come and put fans down and yes it smells and yes they have small children. Oh and water also comes through the light fixtures as well. The garage door literally almost fell and my family. They Hunter has only gave them run around. Can you imagine the smell of wet carpet over and over and over it’s RIDICULOUS. I pray they continue to build up evidence. Pray for my family please. As rent continues to go up. It’s difficult to go elsewhere. Either way this is so wrong. I wish they would’ve went to LONE STAR REALTY they are professional and get your issues resolved asap! 0/10 0 stars

By her having such an energy like that it’s going to cause you to loose lots of business. Do better hunter rentals you guys always been my go to for a new place to call home .

Fantastic experience: Hunter Rentals has managed three 4-plex apartment buildings for me since about 1988-12 units total. I don’t think this could have been possible with any company other than Hunter Rentals. Hunter Rentals is a hard working company that stays on top of things. Repairs and information regarding rentals and move outs are handled by email. We have been through 37 years of market ups and downs together. You will not find a better rental management company. On the other side, I have two daughters and one father in law that rent. I would be happy for any of my family to rent from Hunter Rentals.

Fantastic experience: Ida was very professional both as a real estate agent and a property manager. She presented us with all issues in a clear, concise and easy format to understand. Any and all maintenance issues that arose were presented to us and completed in a timely manner once we gave our approval. We highly recommend Hunter for property management and real estate needs. They work very hard for the property owners that employ them.

Let me tell you, Kristina doesn’t just offer customer service—she delivers a full VIP experience with a side of charm and a GPS built into her brain. I swear she knows every house, every mailbox, and every weird neighbor’s cat within a 10-mile radius. I asked her about a property on Maple Street and before I could even finish saying “Maple,” she said, “The one with the red door and the squirrel that stares into your soul? Great natural light, but the squirrels run the HOA.” She navigates housing streets like she was born in a cul-de-sac and raised by realtors. I once joked about getting lost in the suburbs, and she whipped out three alternate routes, a coffee shop recommendation, and told me where the potholes were — all while smiling like it was no big deal. Need help? Kristina’s got you. Confused about paperwork? She’ll explain it like you're five, but not in a condescending way — more like a very patient, very cool older sibling who just gets it. Honestly, if customer service were an Olympic sport, she’d win gold and then help everyone else on the podium find affordable housing with great school districts. 10/10, would get lost just to call her again.

Negative experience: After experiencing a complete robbery of moving out and be being charged an obscene amount I don’t recommend them in the slightest. Doesn’t matter that I can provide proof of things they found that aren’t our faults they won’t even listen to it. Truly upsetting that the reviews who mention similar things about being ripped off can confirm the accuracy. I would highly suggest not to move in on a Friday afternoon cause then they will rush you to have a move in sheet done the same day and then screw you over because you didn’t have ample time to document damage from previous tenants just to be blamed for. The house we rented was a pit had mold and a horrible plumbing issue but we stuck it out and then we got screwed. Two years of being a good tenant got us nowhere. Word to everyone video tape and document when your gone so you can avoid them burning through a security deposit and owing 600$

Fantastic experience: Mr Bubba came to our home to fix a few things around our rental. Some of the task would need more time and he mentioned he can come back Monday to complete them, but he got it all done today. He’s awesome each time he comes to fix anything in our home.
