Fantastic experience: I haven’t been living here long. I’ve moved here in July but my agent for my rental was Stephanie she is so awesome. I used her once before with a previous rental company and was so excited to be back in contact with her.!!!!. She was so informative with all the information that I needed. Called me right back whenever I had questions or concerns. The house was everything I expected it to be. She was so real about what the house needed and What the house had , or what the Neighborhood was like. .even now if I had a billing issue or concern or questions, Stephanie will help me find the answers. The maintenance team is pretty cool. They come out fast and get things taken care of get things fixed and working I’m not from this area so far this is the best renting company that I have ever rented from here in Louisville Kentucky. Fantastic experience: Jerry the plumber came out this morning and he addressed all of the issues promptly and correctly and went above and beyond to ensure that the three toilets were not leaking from the floor seal (as one has been), that they all flush properly without overflowing, that they do not continuously run water from the back of the toilet (which two have been doing even though we were trying to resolve this ourselves), and he even took a second as he was leaving to check and look to ensure our water hose wasn’t still attached to the house outside (it was not bc I make sure avoid freezing pipes). Very considerate :)

Fantastic experience: So quick to respond to us losing heat on a monday morning . No back and forth with calls and setting things up just quick and easy . Technician has to come back to fully fix the problem but he nade sure we had heat and a plan before he left us.

Fantastic experience: I called LREI to ask about a work order. I was helped by Muhammad ,not only did he explain what the order was he also asked me if there was anything else that we needed. I had bean meaning to call them,but hadn't gotten around to it. He not only explained the other work order,but he but in 2 more work orders for me. Negative experience: DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE SCAMMERS! Mind you we got approved for a place spent $120 in app fees went to look at it we see multiple people lined up to look at it we like are ya here to see this too I mean couples they are taking advantage of ppl we tell them we want the place told to bring the deposit down on Monday Monday gets here they gave the place away! I cannot make this up and they been ignoring us ever since they are not a good company to rent from they will steal your money they make so much off app fees it’s ridiculous even after being approved we went got a money order told them we were on our way said that somebody else got it tried to get us to get the place they wanted us to get still kept doing the same thing I will be suing these people I have proof of all of these transactions this is no way right I even asked for a refund because what’s the point of ya taking our money and not paying it back and still no response you will be a fool to rent from these people
We’re sorry to hear you had a negative experience while searching for a new home. After reviewing your interactions with our leasing team, we found that they responded promptly and provided multiple options to help you secure a property.
Our policy requires a deposit to be placed within 24 hours of approval to hold a home. This policy is outlined on our website, before applying, and again in the approval email. Unfortunately, when deposits aren’t submitted within that timeframe, properties are made available to the next qualified applicant, as owners rely on timely placements.
We understand the process can be stressful and regret that it didn’t work out this time. We wish you the best in finding a home that meets your needs.

Negative experience: Didn’t have a thermostat in 6 months despite attempting to get in contact with maintenance. Maintenance manager will make appointments without your knowledge then you are charged if you aren’t there for the appointment.. Sat on hold trying to speak to someone for 25 minutes, pm a week day not a Saturday, I’m fully aware of office hours. . Also my rent is going up even though zero repairs have been made to the property. Including repairs I’ve asked to be made. Late fees are $100 a day which i I feel is predatory to say the least. I cannot wait to be finished with this company I’ve never had a good experience when dealing with them. Awful. Also if you can’t find me in your records maybe keep better records.
Hello Brandy, Can you please provide your address as your name is not pulling as one of our residents. Also, our office is not open on Saturday so it would be impossible for you to be placed on hold for 25 minutes. We do have an after hours voicemail for emergency maintenance items, however we would call. I would need to verify your address to see of you have any unresolved maintenance request. I would be happy to look into your concerns, I will just need you to provide your information.

Negative experience: Had a viewing scheduled for 2 days for an apartment and when we arrived, we were told to call a number to get code for lock box. No one answered our calls. Total waste of time.

Negative experience: This company is out for their own benefit and not concerned about their renters health or well being. They will come to the rental property as they please to inspect even after they have done a yearly inspection. They are not concerned that a house is growing mold just want you to pay more to be a renter. I would not recommend this company to anyone to rent from. Worst mistake a person could make on an investment property is hire this company to manage their property.
Resident safety is our top priority. While we are committed to addressing safety and habitability concerns promptly, we must often rely on the property owner’s approval for any associated costs. As agents acting on behalf of property owners, we are not authorized to make financial decisions without their consent.
That said, we strongly advocate for all owners to take swift and appropriate action when safety issues arise. If an owner is unwilling to meet those expectations, we will discontinue our management relationship with them.
We perform annual property inspections to ensure the home is well-maintained and to document any signs of wear that may require attention. Additional inspections are only conducted if there's a reported lease violation or a maintenance concern that requires an in-person assessment by our team.
In this case, we could not locate the reviewer’s name in our records and cannot confirm their association with any property under our management. However, we have addressed all reported concerns at the property we believe they may be referring to. The property owner hired independent contractors to inspect the home, and no further issues were found.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THEM especially if on section 8, they will constantly mislead possible tenants with lies and manipulation then won't respond once they have your money. This company is unprofessional and deceitful.
Hello, that is simply not true. One of our specialties is working with Section 8 participants. We are very familiar with the process. This particular situation the initial property would not pass inspection due to ceiling height. We then offered for you to move your application over to another property. Unfortunately, you did not qualify for that property. The only funds we kept was your application fee, which is non-refundable. We refunded your deposit to hold the initial property. You are welcome to apply to other properties you will just need to qualify.

Fantastic experience: We switched over to LREI Property Management a local property manager in Louisville approximately a year and a half ago.We have been very pleased with LREI. They are very professional and have systems in place to make many processes, go smoothly and efficiently. We have one point of contact with Justin director of operations and then he has many people on his team who each have their own specialty who we are also able to communicate with if needed. Just to mention a few of the very helpful people we have worked with on Justin’s team are Stephanie, Chrystal, Rejoice, Marie and Mohammed. LREI has done a great job with managing our property, placing qualified tenants, completing work orders in a timely fashion and getting our effective occupancy up to a good level dramatically better than the two prior property managers we worked with.

Fantastic experience: LREI began managing our properties a couple of years ago, and we have been extremely happy with them. We are especially happy with their quick response and caring attitude. Muhammad (and Stephanie) have been a great point of contact for maintenance. Muhammad cheerfully helps with our most difficult maintenance items. We have also had several major capex expenses, and we have had a direct line of communication with the maintenance team during these types of expensive situations. Negative experience: This place is very rude, unprofessional. And unorganized. I was recently under McCarty properties. Who advised me in November that I would be under lrei property management from now on starting Dec first 2024. I called to pay my Dec rent to LREI they had no clue what was going on who I was or what my address was. Then after we finally got that issue fixed. And I was able to actually pay my rent for Dec first, I received a text a week after that stated that my rent was not paid. In fact the text shows that I owed numerous months of rent stating the amount of $10,000. Right how could that be when I have not even been under LREI FOR A WHOLE MONTH to owe months in rent. I called immediately I talked to 3 different ladies. 3 different times over this month of Dec about my rent. The ladies were very polite and assured me I did not owe anything and I would not be evicted and that was an error. Each time I spoke with someone, someone else from their very same exact office would call me the same week and say no it’s not taking care of you owe 10,000. So that is why I have called and spoke 3 times about this. Today Dec 13 I received a phone call from the same office now my fourth time speaking with LREI. And I received text stating the account still owes $10,000 and I will be evicted tomorrow. I have receipts for every month I paid before it was under LREI and for Dec. I called to talk to manager crystal stoudermeir or whatever her name is. She was very rude stated she did not know what was going on but would not allow me to say what was going on. Kept over talking me and hung up on me numerous times. Yes I was very livid today but anybody would be if your landlord keeps saying you owe rent that you have been paying. Also the fact I have been reaching out having pleasant conversations with you all for you all to still keep stealing my rent money because that is basically what it looks like. Instead of saying sorry and taking accountability for the issues they are causing my family during the holidays. She proceeded to argue with me talk over me and hang up on me numerous of times. Her excuse was because she didn’t like my attitude and delivery after I talked to them numerous of times and the issue is still not fixed. I even requested for her to have the owner call me because we were getting no where. Crystal refused and stated that she will not have the owner contact me and she hung up once again. Again she advised that my bal was not 10,000 and they received my Dec rent. Soon as I got off the phone with her I received another call from their office and a text saying I still owe 10,000 their website shows I still owe as well. Nothing was updated. But when I call they say I do not owe. But I am receiving eviction notices and notifications everyday. It states I am due to be evicted tomorrow Dec 14 is when the process will begin. So I will have to wait and see if I need to sue them cause I have all receipts. Again do not rent from them I would not they are very unorganized and rude and do not apologize for their mistakes on their end. And if you get mad or upset about them repeatedly not fixing issues they promised to fix. Then they really will not help you and instead blame it on your attitude and delivery. Please do not rent from them they will cause your family lots of stress and unnecessary inconvenience. They are doing this to me during the holidays explains a lot about them. They are very defensive and not there to help. I recorded all calls and ready to use for court. My rent amount is not 10,000 so I don’t know how I can owe 10,000 for one month and they have only been my management company for one month. And my rent is 1250. Do your family a favor and find someone else to rent from. I have not ever dealt with a property management so unorganized ever before or this rude. I have not had to get anything fixed yet but if they cannot get my rent account right I can only imagine maintenance request.

Here is what I found:
Account Setup and Transition: LREI assisted with placing you in your current property in April 2024 as part of a service for your property owner. However, we began full property management services in December 2024. Because your initial placement was categorized as “placement-only,” your account was deactivated prior to December. This deactivation was the reason our team initially had trouble locating your account before 12/1.
Payment and Account Resolution:
During your call on December 2, our team located your account and informed you how to make a payment, which was successfully processed.
On December 5, you contacted us again regarding an outstanding balance. Upon review, it was determined that the system had automatically applied back rent charges for months prior to LREI managing your property. The Senior Property Manager assured you that this balance should be disregarded and confirmed that your account was in good standing.
While we promptly adjusted the balance, the system re-applied the charges. Once this issue was brought to our attention, we removed the incorrect charges again. At no point were you asked to make an additional payment, and the matter was fully resolved.
Communication Concerns:
I stand by our team’s professionalism during this process. I understand that this situation caused frustration, but I must also acknowledge that your interactions with our staff became confrontational. During repeated calls—8 within a 30-minute span—our staff attempted to address your concerns, but when they were unable to communicate effectively due to interruptions, they had to disconnect the calls.
Understanding the Root Cause:
This issue was the result of an automated system error during the transition process and not due to human error. From the start, our team assured you that the matter would be resolved without requiring additional payment, which was indeed the outcome.
I genuinely understand your frustrations and appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve the issue. Transitioning accounts can be a complex process, and we always request that tenants allow 30 days for any discrepancies to be addressed. We rely on open communication to promptly resolve issues like this.
Moving forward, we are committed to providing you with the highest level of service. We kindly ask that future communications with our team remain civil, as mutual respect ensures that we can address any concerns effectively.

Fantastic experience: I've a issue of flooring coming up at doorway and Marie with LREI called and sat up appointment for one of there maintenance to look at it Monday morning. Then five minutes later Muhammad called saying he was sending someone tomorrow. I explained to him that Marrie was going to send someone Monday very nice and polite young man . Fantastic experience: Mason the young man that arrived yesterday to fix the lighting in my utility room was very courteous, polite, friendly and didn't excellent job. He brought the tools he would need to use in with him and made me aware when he had to leave to pick up a light fixture, and he cleaned up after his self when he left for the day. I think he's an excellent employee. However I do not appreciate Muhammad calling me after I already left one review and insisting that I give him and Mason a five-star review. Muhammad has never done anything in my home and has only been a problem when I needed to get things done I would give him a zero. Mason on the other hand I'm glad to give a five.

Negative experience: Took a week for them to turn on gas, heat, hot water, etc. They are now dodging all maintenance requests. Update: after leaving a review they actually are doing maintenance. Still lying a lot, overall very shady company. Edit: see their reply. They'll tell you the "owner has to give permission" to fulfill simple maintenance requests. This can take over a month.
Hello Adam, We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. Apologies for the delay in the repair, we did have to get owner approval and send our tech that specializes in window repair. The utility issue we were not aware and as soon as we were, worked with the utility company to restore services as quickly as possible.
Fantastic experience: All of my maintenance request are always handled PROMPTLY. Every request I have submitted has been taken care to my liking! Muhammad is always prompt in his response and I think his name was AL did an AMAZING job on my home yesterday. All of the maintenance staff have been so so helpful over these past 5 years!

Fantastic experience: We have been with this company for 4 years. Everything is taken care of in a timely fashion. We had been experiencing some leaking issues and Al (one of their amazing maintenance techs) came promptly at 8am, accessed the situation and help formulate a plan to get it fixed right. Jeff was the bomb in 3 years he was the first to listen and actually fix my screen door and also made sure my main door locked correctly without me having to bump it with my hip to close. Fantastic experience: I recently had a water main break in the vacant apartment next to mine. I called LREI after hours in a panic and THEY RESPONDED IMMEDIATELY ‼️ They came stopped the leak and had a professional cleaner and water extraction company come in the same night. AL the maintenance guy was here to save the day on a late Saturday night. Initially I was worried LREI wasn’t able to manage all the properties they recently acquired but they have worked out the kinks and have been very responsive to my maintenance requests and any other concerns I’ve had. I’m very appreciative for them. To the lady who expedited my water leak emergency, who was clearly enjoying her family time, (I could hear her family in the background) thank you for taking out the time for me ♀️‼️ And for AL who may still be fighting water leaks around the city I TRULY APPRECIATE YOU ‼️‼️‼️
