Fantastic experience: Bob was perfect for a person like me. He wasn’t overly chatty or too pushy. He let us roam and explore the unit on our own but was ready to answer questions or offer insight when asked. He was very pleasant and professional. The apartment looked just like the photos. Clean, presentable, and as expected. I appreciate that because I’ve seen places where they have very glamorous pictures for not so glamorous units. Im very happy with my experience today.

Negative experience: I’ve lived at the Lexington for 8 years. Horrible management group. The heat never works in the building. We just got 10 inches of snow in single digits and were without heat for 24 hours. Called the emergency line to report it after 24 of no heat and there has currently been no response for 6 hours. They also closed their office due to the weather on Monday and do not have call forwarding so no one answers and there is no routing for emergencies. Literally the absolutely worst management company and the sole reason I am moving out after 8 years. Their maintenance is also horrific and their idea of fixing a leak in bathroom has been to just throw as much spackle on the wall as possible. It’s disgusting. Only live in the Lexington (4207 Chester Ave) if it’s your last option. I am more than happy to share photos and maintenance records as well.

Negative experience: this is the most trash company I’ve ever seen. I booked 4 apartment tour. after taking off from my office, they did not appear in any of them and there is no contact information to contact to Agent. If you call to that head office, you should know the party’s name and extension. It’s just a machine operated system. No one gonna answer it.

Negative experience: The leasing agent Durant Hayden was 30 minutes late to the viewing. There was no communication to assist with letting me know he was late so I sat in front of the property for a half hour. When he finally called I had left due to no communication whatsoever. He explained he was having a late day… with no sympathy whatsoever. I will not be renting from this company. If there late with responding to new tenants I can only imagine how maintenance and management is. Good luck if you’re considering them.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with New Age Realty Group, Inc. when applying for a rental at 3000 Sunrise Walk, Philadelphia, PA. After paying a $3,600 holding fee and $120 in application fees, expecting the deposit to be refundable based on initial assurances, I was shocked to learn they intended to keep it all as a “withdrawal penalty” after I withdrew due to their refusal to honor agreed-upon terms, like a pet allowance. The company’s deceptive practices are glaring— they failed to clearly disclose that the holding fee would be non-refundable, burying this critical detail in fine print within a multi-page document provided only after payment. This lack of transparency, combined with not providing application copies upfront and pressuring payment before processing, misled me into believing the funds were secure. Their refusal to negotiate lease terms, including the pet addendum that was a key condition, further exposed their bad faith. Online reviews echo similar complaints about withheld deposits and opacity, pointing to a troubling pattern. I strongly advise caution with this company— their practices seem designed to trap applicants into forfeiting money. Avoid at all costs unless they overhaul their approach to honesty and fairness. **update email received from Christos Tzimoulis 8.13.25: “I do know that going online and slandering a company is not a good way of trying to resolve an issue in good faith. Fortunately for you, we do have at least one tour scheduled this week.  If I were you, I’d hope that it gets rented quickly, so your damages are reduced.” My honest review prompted an unprofessional response from the broker. They falsely accused me of “slandering” them and used threatening language, suggesting I’d face “damages” unless their property at 3000 Sunrise Walk, Philadelphia, PA 19125, rents quickly. This intimidating tactic, rather than addressing my valid concerns, further highlights their lack of transparency and accountability. Potential renters should be cautious. **second update on Gag Order and Claims of No Losses 8.28.25: In a subsequent email, New Age Realty Group claimed they incurred no losses from my withdrawal, yet still refused to refund our $3,600 holding fee, contradicting their own justification for withholding it. Furthermore, they sent a gag order, demanding we sign a non-disclosure agreement to release the funds they acknowledge owing us. This coercive attempt to silence my valid concerns about their deceptive practices further exposes their lack of integrity. *** Update on Refusal of NDA and Additional Demands 9.5.25: After we explicitly refused to sign the non-disclosure agreement demanded by New Age Realty Group to release the $3,600 holding fee they acknowledge owing, they escalated their tactics by claiming we now owe them additional money. This baseless demand, made despite their earlier admission of incurring no losses from my withdrawal, further demonstrates their coercive and dishonest practices aimed at intimidating and extorting applicants.

Negative experience: Roaches and water damage in new apartment in powelton. I will keep this up until it’s fixed.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointing experience. This was by far the worst realty group I've dealt with during my time living in Philadelphia. I attempted to schedule at least four showings—every single one was canceled. When they finally did schedule a showing for me, the agent never showed up. I waited at the apartment with no communication from their end. When I called to follow up, I was told that the agent intended for the showing, Durrant, had left early and would not be attending the showing. No one informed me ahead of time, and had I not reached out myself, I likely never would have heard anything. The lack of professionalism and disregard for my time was truly frustrating. I would strongly advise others to avoid working with this group.

Negative experience: these HAVE to be fake or paid reviews. new age is known for being slumlords. i rented from them a few years ago and they left us without gas (heat) for days in the coldest parts of the winter with no space heaters or anything to offer, were generally incredibly unresponsive when we needed repairs, and took all of our security deposit AND charged $800 on top of it for regular wear and tear (i remember they charged like $200 for a set of replacement keys because we lost one of the spares! ridiculous!!!). new age is well known in philadelphia for being a terrible company, there is absolutely no way these positive reviews are authentic.

Fantastic experience: Worked with Bob and he was so personable. We met him at one location, realized he was going to show us another unit later in the day that we had booked. He asked what I didn't like about the place, he asked what I was looking for and other places that I already looked at. Gave so much helpful information about surrounding areas. Offered to show us a place down the street he thought we would like and he was right. It had all the boxes checked off that I was looking for. Would love to work with him again on finding a place to live.

Negative experience: So, picture this: I turn on the faucet for a nice, refreshing drink of water, and what comes out? Liquid mud. Yes, folks, brown water spewing out of every faucet in the house like I'm auditioning for a horror movie about the world's worst plumbing disaster. Naturally, I hit the panic button and send an emergency message, thinking, "Surely, they’ll send in the cavalry!" And what do I get in return? A casual, “That’s an issue that can be taken care of in the morning,” from Christian Connolly, one of the property managers. I mean, really?!? So let me get this straight, Christian. Just don’t use any water from 7 pm until, what, the break of dawn? No shower, no dishes, no flushing. Nothing. Because apparently, we're living in the 1800s now, and brown water is just part of the evening ambiance. But wait, it gets better! Not a soul was sent to check out this river of chocolate milk coming out of my pipes. I guess they think I’m just supposed to sit back, relax, and enjoy the new, unexpected brown water feature in my home. Now, let me give credit where credit’s due. The maintenance team? Absolutely fantastic. These folks could probably fix a leaky faucet blindfolded. But the company? Well, let’s just say their crisis management skills are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. If I wanted to live out a scene from a dystopian survival movie, I would have at least liked some popcorn with it.

It’s good for the price They respond to inquiries fast and the rental property was well-maintained and any maintenance issues I encountered were promptly addressed. Employees are approachable and professional. I’ve already referred 2 of my friends to rent their units. Every problem we had was addressed as quickly as possible.

Negative experience: I rented through New Age Realty for a year and a half. When we moved in, the apartment was not move in ready. We had to get the dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer replaced which took months to be done. We had a sink leak, bathtub leak, and leaking roof that took multiple weeks of requests to have someone come take a look and fix. When the dryer was installed, it was done improperly and carbon monoxide fumes were being admitted into our apartment. We only decided to stay over a year lease because we could not move out during the school semester. Upon moving out, it took two weeks to get our last months rent check back after calling the office several times. When deciding who to rent through in West Philly, I would highly recommend reconsidering if you decide New Age Realty.

Fantastic experience: Matt is a professional who keeps in touch with his clients and is serious about showings. The agency has lots of nice listings and I have no doubt they have homes to suit families as well as students. The area I have seen was littered with New Age signs, places for rent and that have been rented. It's a lovely college town with many great eateries and stores, I hope to be living there soon. This part of the city is very accessible and the trolleys that serve it are surprisingly fast. I recommend the agency as well as the area.

We came to New Age with our situation, and they helped coordinate multiple house tours within a few days. We chose a nice 4-bedroom rowhome, and they helped expedite our rental applications, deposits, and the leases, so we were given the keys within 24-48 hours - we have been in the house for 2 years with no issue. In my experience they've been responsive and understanding since our move-in, and throughout the 2 years we've rented through them.

Fantastic experience: Based on my experiences: A great rental agency that is small enough that you are still valued as a renter. They lease many properties around Drexel’s campus. Realtors are genuine, timely, and professional. Property management is very helpful. Maintenance management is quick to respond and solves the issue thoroughly using their own “contractors” without tenant needing to contact the owner of the property, etc. They just started using a new platform that makes maintenance even easier, it seems. Overall I’m satisfied and would recommend!

Negative experience: Absolutely the worst leasing company that I have ever worked with. The apartment was in terrible shape when I moved in, was a rat infested building, with flies in the summer time. They never fixed anything and tried to charge me for what they should have fixed before I moved in. Absolutely unethical, and everyone I ever dealt with there was really rude to me. Don’t lease from them if you can avoid it.
