Fantastic experience: We truly could not have asked for a better realtor. Jennifer was amazing from start to finish and went far above what we ever expected. From guiding us through every step of the process to even helping with last-minute cleaning and moving furniture, she showed genuine care and dedication that made a stressful experience feel seamless. I have never worked with someone who cared so deeply about us and our home throughout the entire process. Negative experience: If I could leave zero stars, I absolutely would. After living in a home managed by this company for 3 years — keeping it clean, maintaining it, and even moving out a week early — this company still hit us with a list of completely baseless, made-up charges clearly meant to keep our deposit and bill us even more. They charged $600 for a paint job even though the paint was NOT damaged — just naturally aged. They billed us for a screen door that had normal wear and tear, which their own inspector admitted was not tenant damage. They also charged us for a ceiling vent that repeatedly fell despite us submitting multiple maintenance requests. Their maintenance workers failed to fix it, yet somehow they decided to charge us for their negligence. What makes this even worse is that I have videos and pictures of the exact condition the home was left in — clean, orderly, and clearly showing normal wear and tear, not damage. The documentation fully supports that these charges are unreasonable and unjustified. At this point, it’s obvious they intentionally inflated or fabricated charges to avoid returning our deposit. The level of dishonesty and predatory behavior is unbelievable. Because of the false charges, the inspector’s statements, the maintenance records, and my visual proof, I am now looking into taking this to small claims court, consulting an attorney, and filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General’s Office. I will not allow this company to take advantage of tenants without a fight. Do NOT rent from these people. Protect yourself and look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Brittany Mitchell is the epitome of a professional realtor!! She came in prepared and was unbelievably kind, enthusiastic, and so very knowledgeable about selling my home. She kept me updated throughout the process and was able to assist me with selling a home that hadn’t sold. Her usage of social media and postcards was above and beyond what I have ever experienced. Brittany is fantastic with negotiating and simply is an amazing agent. Most importantly, she makes you feel as if you are her only client (when that is absolutely not the case!) Negative experience: Scam artists. These people are a joke. We left our place in really good shape, the woman Sandra, laughed when we asked for our deposit back. They sent a check a month later for $65, with a vague explanation of "repairs." RUN the other way! Would never do business with these people again.

Fantastic experience: Kaitlyn was friendly, professional, and very responsive. I met her at an open house. She was the seller's realtor. We decided to use her as our dual agent realtor. She made the process easy. There were some issues with appraisal that were out of her control but she was able to re-negotiate with us and sellers so we could still close on time. If you're an action-oriented person you'll appreciate her efficiency.

Negative experience: Do not rent from these people. They don't care about renters at all. Had us move into a house with mold underneath and the property manager, Sandra Holland, said she hadn't even been to the property so she knew nothing about it. Her solution was for us to move into another one of their rentals after not even being in the house for a week. HA. Just lazy and careless. Charged us $75 for a towel rack that was broken the day we moved in and $100 for "labor to remove a water faucet filtration system" that was ALREADY THERE WHEN WE MOVED IN. INCOMPETENT lady who just didnt want to do her job and made it our problem. Just want to rip people off. I'm thrilled to be finished with them & Sandra is the worst.

Fantastic experience: Our little family absolutely adores Carla Council of Townsend Real Estate. She is a true professional, master of her craft, and just an absolute delight to talk to. Carla makes serving her customer’s needs first priority. Having grown up in the area, she was able to provide us newcomers with a wealth of information to better acquaint us to our new city. Negative experience: This review is strictly due to the new property manager, Sandra Holland. I have never met such a dishonest, manipulative person, and a real estate business in my entire life. My disabled son was to rent a house from her and she held the keys and then told him that she didn’t care if he took the house or not because she had his deposit. He was to move in Friday morning, but when he went to the office, they said she had the keys on her. She agreed to meet him Saturday turned her cell phone off all weekend and then expected him to move in Monday after the movers weren’t able to make injury and had to reschedule the move, causing him over 800.00. My son sent her a message on Saturday after she did not show up for the meet and told her I’m retracting my deposit and I will not go forward on Tuesday. She contacted him and said you are paying rent on the house because you gave us a deposit and that bonds you to the lease she knowingly told her boss a lie as She was fully aware that my son retracted deposit after several attempts to get the keys and she did not show up.I Advise anyone to please avoid Sandra Holland she did not do the owners of the home any justice and they should definitely find a new property manager. She is a very negative asset to the Townsend family business.

First people to view it offered over asking price, said they'd pay cash, but Debbie was astute and experienced enough to know the contingencies were not in our best interest. Within 2 weeks had an offer at asking price. Unfortunately there were significant issues found at the inspection that we were completely unaware of. Debbie helped manage our shock on this, and when we didn't know who to call to have repairs, she recommended contractors who were timely and reputable. Negative experience: Would not recommend renting with Townsend unless you plan on figuring everything out on your own. Have had an extremely hard time getting in contact with anyone at the office. They have put all blame on our homeowner and left us in the dark because of it. Thought we had some real help after getting in touch with the owners son and explaining our experience but were yet again met with no returned calls or emails. Did so mention that I drove by our rental the day before our move in date and there were squatters in our home? Because that also happened:)
