Negative experience: I’ve been living here for almost 5 years. Maybe More never once fixed the pothole I complained about getting my tire popped never fixed anything this management company. I don’t know about this, If they’re in trouble they’re careless no empathy. Also the fire department is so loud this is right across the street very obnoxious.

UPDATE I understand your frustration, especially regarding the pothole. As the management company, we do not own the property but are committed to working closely with the owner to address these concerns. Regarding the noise from the fire department, we understand that living near emergency services can be challenging at times. We cannot control their operations.

Negative experience: We lived in an MPM property years ago and while the condo was lovely, MPM gave us many issues. The most egregious was not informing residents when there were bicycle thefts from our garage building that we believed to be locked. Our bikes were stolen after others had been and we had not been warned and they did absolutely nothing to insure it didn't happen again. We are also having issues now because our cell phone is linked to a unit from 3 years ago!!! We've called several times and left several messages but they still won't remove it. They also tried to charge $$$ on move out when we left the condo in better shape than we received it. They charged for items we left that were there when we moved in, dust on the outside bbq that was exactly as we received it and for the toilet being dusty which I think was due to the delay in them turning over the unit. Writing this review now as we leave yet another message to please remove our phone from the intercom of starliner.

Negative experience: Do NOT rent through Madison property management. They allow homeless men to live in the utility rooms and when the issue is brought to their attention, they are quite unresponsive and untimely when it comes to fixing the issue. We were told by Sophia that we are going to have to pay a locksmith hourly to change the locks and once they finally took measures to ensure the building is secure, the homeless man was able to reenter our building with ease and continue living here. If you rent through MPM, you will be at risk for unsafe and inhabitable conditions as well as serious biohazard contamination risk which management will be reluctant to deal with.

Negative experience: on top of all other horrible issues with our property like biohazards and a homeless man allowed to live in the back room, landlords will try to only communicate over the phone to ensure that they can twist your words. do not rent through this company you will be scammed and called countless times despite telling them not to. MPM is not doing anything currently to deal with the homeless man in the back room. told MPM there was blood all over the back room and they said it was paint. rent from anywhere else especially if you’re a woman or sophia is your property manager.

Negative experience: DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! IF YOU ARE A WOMAN YOU WILL NOT BE SAFE ON THEIR PROPERTY. they allow homeless men to live in the back rooms and are unresponsive to lock changes and taking correct precautions. they continue to tell us that it’s not an ongoing issue when we have had 2 squatters in the past month. add on the mold issues, the holes in the wall covered in masking tape and painted over when we moved in. the mold in the bathroom and the terrible attitude of the property managers. many tenants have expressed they have also had many issues with a “sophia her” she will threaten to make you pay for lock changing fees on the phone when someone broke in and then say she didn’t. this company is completely unsafe and unresponsive.

Negative experience: They ran my credit and had me apply for an apartment that was already rented -- Didn't even hear if I was accepted, just that it had already been rented. Thanks for unnecessarily running my credit MPM and not even giving me legitimate feedback. Update: Also tried to buy a property from MPM some years later and the agent was incredibly shady in my opinion.

Negative experience: One of the most painful parts of dealing with Madison Property Management is their phone service. Calling them is like shouting into a void and hoping someone will care enough to answer. You sit through endless ringing and recorded messages, only to be hung up on or sent to a voicemail that no one ever checks. When you finally do reach a real human being, they rush you, talk over you, or make you feel stupid for needing help with something they are responsible for. It leaves you feeling small and completely unheard. It should not feel like a full time job to get your landlord to acknowledge an issue. I remember calling repeatedly about a plumbing leak that was slowly destroying my bathroom. Days passed and every message I left felt like a plea that they could not be bothered to care about. It is exhausting and draining to be met with silence when you are genuinely stressed, worried, or frightened about damage happening inside your own home. It wears you down emotionally to know the people who should be helping you simply do not care. Their phone service desperately needs a complete reform. Tenants deserve someone who listens, who takes them seriously, and who responds quickly when things go wrong. Students should not be left crying on the phone because the staff refuses to treat them like human beings. Being ignored over and over again does more than inconvenience you. It makes you feel powerless in a place that should feel safe. Madison Property Management’s failure to communicate is not a small issue. It is a fundamental sign they are unfit to manage anyone’s home.

Negative experience: I truly have nothing positive to say about this company as a long term tenant. Anytime you need some help it's like pulling teeth to get a person to assist. Also most of the staff is mean to you. Everything they do comes at a high fee and poor quality work. I'm being fair and honest. I've been with them for years. It means nothing, they treat me like crap. And yet! I pay my bills on time. I don't know why they are like this but I started renting in 2010. Nothing charges. They don't care about tenants.

Negative experience: Easily the worst property management company in Madison. So clearly use predatory business practices against college students in a city that is already struggling with a housing affordability crisis. MPM and similar actors are the reason that our great city is becoming increasingly unaffordable and unlivable for your average resident. And when they do charge a reasonable rent, they are completely negligent when it comes to repairs. When I lived in one of their units (moved out after 3 months), they refused to fix the heat for weeks and just gave us a terrible space heater. They refused to provide us any rent abatement for the weeks that we spent without heat. Absolutely will never be renting from them again, and always actively tell people not to rent from them because of their predatory practices.

Negative experience: As much as I would like to write a positive review, I can't. Yes, most of our service requests were handled, but we only after days of waiting and very poor communication with our property manager. I want to start off by saying that there was maintenance done (that I never issued) in my 7x9 feet room (my bed can barely be moved) without my knowledge, and when I entered my room, there was DIRT and DEBRIS on my bed. This indicates that someone stood on my bed completing service that was NOT requested (they gave me new blinds on my windows). I sent an email to management and my property manager in which she called back and got angry with me and told me "what do you expect". I found it completely rude and she was the one in the wrong, thinking maintenance had not come yet. Management never got back to my email. We would get notices hours before maintenance would show up, and even in the middle of the night when we would not see the email. The rest of the tenants got their issues resolved, I in fact, did not. I listed a service request in my tenant portal the day I moved in. The baseboards in my room were completely rotten and soft as was my window. I have photos attached that show the state of my window from the moment I saw it, IT IS STILL completely attached with duct tape AND is rotting. This issue nor my rotting baseboards were resolved and it has been two months. I had multiple calls with my property manager which she responded within the first few weeks, but then never got back in touch with me. I do not recommend renting through Madison Property Management and I have already signed a lease with a different company.

Negative experience: I would not recommend renting from this management company. The buildings are old and poorly maintained and it’s clear that upkeep is not a priority. Communication is atrocious — getting a response or any follow-up on issues takes far too long, if it happens at all. Overall, it’s best not to get stuck renting from them.

Negative experience: I’ve had a terrible experience with company. The owners of our house are very nice but it’s managed by Madison Property Management. Every time, in 9 years, we have to speak to some they are rude and cold. This month we’ve had a hiccup with our rent payment. We have been honest about the situation and communicated with them about it. We were threatened with a 5 day and are unable to submit payments online because of this situation. They are very lacking in empathy or care to help get things on track.

Negative experience: I really hate that I had to come on here and edit my first review, but it must be said and people need to know what they’re up against if they rent from this management company. This review will be long but it’ll be very insightful and informative. I moved into mpm in November of 2023 in a apartment complex that’s in sun prairie, Wi ; and while I was glad that they rented to me and my mom I did not know what I was up against later on down the line while being a tenant. A month after renting from them life starting working on me and my mom and two months after that life really started working on us even more. February I got into a car accident, loss my job and than two days later we loss my auntie (moms sister) we had to travel to Chicago for her funeral which put a dent in our pockets and of course made us late on rent; however with the help of GOD we managed to pay our rent. When we returned back home it was back to the drawing board. Keep in mind we’re trying to survive without a car because of that accident I was in two days before we loss my auntie. Fast forward to 6 months down the line we loss my Grandmother that hit us hard as well because here we are again having to travel to Chicago for yet another funeral. That put us behind on rent again, but guess what? The rent did get paid. I have always told them the reason why we were late but honestly they didn’t really care about the circumstances and only wanted the rent. Hold on to your seats… in November we loss another loved one ( a brother of mine) so here we are again struggling because of another funeral. After that life seemed to let up off of us a little earlier in this year until July of this year (2025). My mom lost her job and than after that a week later we received some scary news about my oldest brother health and had to travel to Chicago to be by his side just in case we had to say our final goodbyes to him. That put us behind in rent for august because I had to use the rent money to travel to Chicago and my job wasn’t a good paying job. In august somewhere around the 18th one of the ladies informed me that they will be taking me to eviction court and they did just that. Even after knowing what me and my mom was up against they didn’t care and still proceeded with the process. I attended eviction court September 9th and we came up with a agreement that I will pay the remaining balance this Friday which will be the 19th; the mediator asked if they was gone renew my lease and they said it was up to me and I said yes I will renew. Well today I received a email stating that they will not be renewing my lease and that I’ll have a move out date soon. I’m frustrated, heartbroken, terrified and so much more a individual would feel like if they was facing homelessness. Not only that but because of them I now have a eviction on my name which will make it hard for me to even find another place to live. I’ve been a renter for 10 years and I’ve never in my life experienced anything like this until I moved to Wisconsin. I’m not trying to tell you guys not to rent from them but if you have better options?? Please go with the better option; they don’t care about their tenants they only just want the rent money and that’s sad because you could be a tenant with them for years and obviously they won’t have any compassion as to what you’re going through or may have recently went through. Sorry for the long rant, but I truly hope this will help someone out that’s looking for a place to call home and a company that’s not just gonna put them out because life is fighting against you….. Edit: this review is specifically for the owner of the property in sun prairie that I’m renting from, because mpm do deal with different owners; this is new news to me,however There are people at Mpm that do have compassion for tenants like Tiffany she’s been great since day one.

Negative experience: I have had several extremely disappointing interactions with MPM. The final one was recently when our fire alarms starting going off at 5:30 in the morning, I took it out to see what was going out and water starting leaking out of it. I called emergency maintance to come and they said they were “on their way” and just never showed up. I called again to get help later in the day and I was told “that if it’s not beeping or actively leaking water why would they send someone to come look at it” it was extremely rude and concerning because something with electrical wires was leaking water last night, why would you not send someone? This was all on Saturday morning and they said no one could come look at it until Monday. Super frustrating, they don’t seem to care and are extremely rude when speaking on the phone. All I needed was a little help and received nothing.

Negative experience: I don’t usually review unless i’m giving 5 stars. However, my experience with MPM was pretty bad. Had an insanely bad leak in my room (practically raining in there) for a month and after several calls, texts, and emails, it got “fixed.” But it didn’t really because it started leaking again the summer after. Multiple things of mine got ruined from the orange water and MPM offered up quarters for me to put my stuff in the laundry. That didn’t fix my stuff. I also don’t think I ever got the stupid quarters anyways. Also, one time I left a pumpkin out on the property for a little too long and they, understandably, sent a text saying to remove it. I removed in within 5 minute of the text. A week later they texted again saying they would fine me if I didn’t remove the pumpkin. HELLO if you looked above your office, you’d notice it wasn’t there. I got calls from them regarding the pumpkin too. One of the property managers actually drove out to the property after hours to make sure my pumpkin wasn’t there. Sure wish there was this energy when it was raining in my bedroom!!!!!! I give them two stars because I loved the people working in the office who gave me my mail. They always recognized me and were kind to me. I also see that the owner is replying to a lot of these reviews which is nice.

Negative experience: Incredibly unsafe, disgusting, rude and complete slumlords. They try to take advantage of students. Almost 5,000 per month for 4 bedroom apartment.. Blood on the door?, mold, algae, broken doors, ripped carpet, broken railing, broken blinds, filthy and terrible. The list of complaints is long. Even for Madison student housing, this is horrific. Stay away. Have you noticed the response on all these negative reviews are all the same?

Negative experience: Very disappointed in this company. Would give no stars if able. Attempted to move son into apartment today. Son (tenant) spoke to Christina with Four Seasons for key pick up time. Was told to be there by 4:30p. Had someone there at 4:20 to pick up key and office was closed. Four other groups of renters arrived w/cars packed for move-in and were also unable to get keys. Received a text from property manager at 4:57p stating they had left for the day and can distribute keys the following morning. No way to contact aside from texting. Very disappointed as we were verbally told would be able to get keys and then ghosted after we arrive before 4:30p. Very unprofessional company and NOT a good impression for the start of renting.

Negative experience: Our son was supposed to move into his apartment today. We called ahead of time to make sure that the property manager would be present by the time we arrived to get the keys. They indicated they would be there until 4:30. We arrived at 4:20. The office was closed. The property manager actually responded to our text and said they were gone for the day and couldn’t help us until tomorrow. How are we supposed to move into our new apartment with our vehicles loaded and ready to go?

Negative experience: We were told that we could pick up keys until 5pm and when we arrived at 4:20pm the doors were closed and they stopped replying to any form of communication. Overall they are very unprofessional and need to reevaluate how they do their leases and key pick up.

Negative experience: Stay away. My child was a tenant in one of their properties - they never fixed requested repairs and charged (actually - ridiculously overcharged) the students for damages that weren’t their fault. Staff is extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. Terrible experience all around. Actually thought about filing legal action against them.

Negative experience: Madison, property management has been the worst management company at my condo association in 15 years. When my neighbor's Pipe broke and the water was flooding into my condo, they called the emergency line. First, call, no one. answered second time, they called. They said they were too busy to come and shut off the water. They are very rude and very slow. They're getting anything done.

Negative experience: They say you can leave your keys car hanging tag in their over night box. I did and they said that the keys and tag were missing. I had the keys in an envelope with the address written on it. Plus, I had cleaned the apartment better than it was when I moved in. I was charged $260 for cleaning!!! They must do this to everyone! Then they do not let renewals of people who do not complain and always pay rent on time.

Negative experience: UPDATE: 7/10/25 - Almost a full year with MPM and nothing has changed. Everything I’ve written before is still pretty accurate. Honestly, try to avoid MPM at all costs. Their maintenance people take forever to fulfill your requests and they don’t even fix the issue when they come, they just slap a bandaid on it and call it a day. Things are never fully fixed, and they don’t maintain their properties very well. I didn’t really have a choice when I was looking for a place for this year but I will sure avoid them at all costs moving forward. I can’t wait to never rent from them again. UPDATE: 9/20/24 - MPM is actually one of THE worst rental companies in Madison. I currently live in a house that has plumbing issues. They were not apparent when we initially moved in but now living here for just over a month the issues very apparent. Water backs up, and there’s always a sewage smell that lingers after someone takes a shower. We have made multiple service requests and MPM has done nothing to fix it. DO NOT rent from MPM if you can. They don’t help at all. I have never rented from MPM before but they aren’t off to a great start with me. When I first contacted them with interest in properties they were pretty communicative with what places were already rented or available. However, once my group was approved for a place they only gave us 4 HOURS to sign the lease and if everyone in our group didn’t sign the lease in those 4 hours we would have to find a new place. Additionally, they only contacted half of our group members through text so the other half didn’t even know we only 4 hours to sign. Also, they messaged my group at 9am and gave us til 1pm to sign; a time where most of us are in class so we wouldn’t have time to sign normally. Thankfully, everyone in my group was able to sign the lease with 15 min to spare but 4 hours to sign a lease is ridiculous. Furthermore, I called to scheduled a showing in the morning but later called again to reschedule for the afternoon. The day of, when I called them to call them to confirm (because they never sent any type of confirmation email/text) they said they still had my showing scheduled for the morning. I am hoping once my group and I move in to our actual place MPM will be more punctual with calls and requests, but like I said this isn’t a great first impression for me. Probably won’t try to rent with MPM after this year.

Negative experience: If you are looking for someone to manage your property that just lets everything go, doesn't listen to tenants, or just flat out doesn't fulfill maintenance requests, then this is your place!!! Lexi and Tracy KNOWINGLY did not fulfill a maintenance need of ours. Because they knew there was a pending sale of our building, they chose to ignore our request. My bad, they sent somebody, but with NO NOTICE OF ENTRY. Then they didn't do anything for another week. Going on week 3 without a working dryer!! MPM let the once nice landscaping go to disarray yet still wanted rent increases every year. Poor service, poor upkeep, poor records keeping, multiple non notice of entry over the decade I have been in said building. I can't believe you conduct your business like that.

I think Virtue is on point with respect to price vs location, literally the only reason I ended up in Middleton instead was because I felt downton Madison could be a bit much for me once the students get back in town.

Fantastic experience: The steps and hallways stays dirty but that has nothing to do with the office. It has alot to do with the tenants. People need to stop littering, and being so destructive. If they sweep my steps now ,I promise you come back in 1 hour it's trash everywhere. The management is not supposed to stand behind adults to make sure the leave clean. Parents needs to clean after their pets and children. Let's start with a clean environment first before we blame management for what they not doing. I have no issues leaving at the Madison, yes it might take time for someone to adress the issue but they will which is not abnormal considering the fact that things haven't been thesame after COVID-19. Keep the Madison clean. Its a beautiful place to leave in.

Negative experience: MAKE SURE YOU READ YOUR LEASE BEFORE SIGNING. I was trying to rent a house from them and the lease included lots of red flags and many things that should only apply to duplexes or apartments and not a home. For example (this is not the exact wording) -basement is not to be used for storage -no social gatherings in common areas -making a maintenance request allows management to enter the property at any time WITHOUT NOTICE -there is a fee if the security deposit is returned I could continue but this review getting too long already

Negative experience: Honestly suspect any positive reviews are fake, although maybe the service is really just that inconsistent. Will never rent from MPM again. The halls of the apartment have not been cleaned or swept once and it smells. Apartment was dirty when I moved in. Appliances keep breaking and things are not maintained. Sometimes takes weeks for things to be fixed, such as the washing machine (6 weeks the first and it's broken again now). They understaff their maintenance department so there aren't enough people to go around. I got locked out of my garage and none of the keys actually work. High prices and they keep getting higher. They are Madisons slum lords, but they put all their care and effort into their nice properties.

Negative experience: The worst Property Management company I have ever went through. Sucks it doesn't matter how low their ratings are, they will always have tenants. These guys withheld my entire security deposit stating I moved out late and that it took two of their employees 17 hours to clean a 3-bedroom apartment. My three roommates and I insured that place was near spotless before vacating. $1300 lined the pockets of these guys for $200 worth of expenses at most. Will be advising all who I come in contact with to avoid MPM at all costs.

Negative experience: I do not recommend Madison Property Management. Communication was very poor; sometimes I would get no response after calling or emailing multiple times in a two week timespan; and then when I went to their office in person I sometimes found it closed during their working hours or I would be told the staff I was working with were in meetings and couldn’t see me. I always tried to give them time to respond, knowing how busy management work can be; but I often felt ignored and important repairs were then left undone. I also often felt as though, when repair work was completed, it was done so quickly and without confirmation to make sure it was actually addressing the original problem. For example, our front door needed a new skirt to prevent rodents from entering in the spring. Initially when I reported the issue, I got no confirmation or response. Then, when the work was completed, the only way I knew it was done was because I noticed a new skirt — but it was on the wrong door, despite the fact that I sent a picture of the correct door in the original work request. Then, I followed up to make sure the correct work would be completed and to confirm we would not be charged twice for the unnecessary repair; I never received a response. MPM did not use a digital portal for repairs like other local management companies, so it was hard to track repairs. My neighbors would often report that their contacts with employees there made them feel unheard or as though it wasn’t necessary to respond to their direct requests for help. During the course of our time working together, I did have positive interactions with their top management when I made them aware of these issues; I did feel that they tried to make it right, even though there continued to be times when it was hard to get a hold of people, progress was made in some areas. I also feel that the maintenance staff that we worked with did their best to meet our needs but may not have always had access to clear information from their supervisors in terms of what needed to be done where and when. I am disappointed with the service I have received, overall, from this company, and I am glad we are now under new management. My suggestions to MPM for improvement are to create stronger systems for clients to track work orders and receive feedback & timely response to requests for help, and to better train / hire middle management to be responsive to client needs.

Negative experience: My Landlord sold the property he built and I have lived the past 9 yrs. Sold the property to an individual that has no clue on how to be a landlord and he hired MPM. Why I don't know as they are the worst. Haven't seen them or the landlord in over 2 months. I can wait to move. The property was good looking and well kept for the past 9 yrs. Now it's turned into Slum property. My rent went from $950 to $1350. 2br 1-1/2 bath - WD and 1 car attached garaged. I miss my old landlord/owner. He could fix anything and all repairs were done quickly. Too 2 weeks to fix my garage. LL was suppose to paint b4 8/1 it hasn't been done yet. Not good for him $. Update: Same nothing has been done. Gutters about to fall off bldg due to stuff as water flows over the side. Who puts a sign up advertising "Apt for Rent" but the sign fell over 3 weeks ago. Isn't the property mgrs supposed to monitor. Then found the apt next to me went from $950 to $1495. Charged the old tenant over $100 for cleaning and it's not clean nor has it been painted. Ok....Can't wait to move from the Slum lords!!!

Negative experience: They took over on our mortgage the lady's up there except the younger one are as rude as can be. We made a payment to the original mortgage place a couple of days before we knew they took it over. They said to send them the receipt they would check it out. We have sent the receipt twice now it's been over 2 months since the last one was sent to them. About 4 months since the first one was sent. Who knows what they did with the first one. Every time we call up there ask about it they tell me I have to talk to my case person that I can't even pronounce his name much less spell it. I tell themit won't do any good he won't call me back that's when they get rude he leaves voicemails when he calls you. To hell if he does. I've only caught him in his office twice in about 5 months when I call up there. Never have found anything out about that payment but they want to keep sending late notices to me

Positive experience: It's alright♂️. Air conditioning was not working during the sping time, and it took them 3 months before they finally called an air conditioning company to fix it. Also, they are pretty weird about the security deposit as it must all go to 1 person, and they will not tell you the cleaning charges for areas in the apartment. You can download the rent checker app to make sure that if they do charge you for cleaning, it is for the things that were there before you moved in. Rented at 210 N Charter Street.
Negative experience: Madison Property Management(MPM) are unprofessional, unethical and have violated Wisconsin Statute 704.28, in my situation. Madison Property Management has withheld a security deposit sum unlawfully, having the impudence to disregard mailed certified written correspondence. Unfortunately for many that are looking for a rental unit, MPM has many contracts with property owners around the Madison area. Making it a difficult escape from their nefarious business practices.

Fantastic experience: My experience with MPM is via the West Washington Place Apartments. I have never lived in a cleaner, more accommodating environment. Sophia the property manager has been available and helpful during the entire process of moving in. The owner even helped me hitch up my auto transport, and can always be seen doing work around the building and offering a friendly greeting. Maintenance requests are attended to promptly. The accommodations are incredibly luxurious, and the building is perfect for students: clean, quiet, and spacious. I couldn't recommend a better, more convenient place to live in Madison.

Just so you know, the renewal rate wasn't just for you—it was set for the entire building. It's kind of like how the automotive industry offers discounts to clear out inventory—the housing market works in a similar way. Thanks for letting us know about the common area laundry we'll make sure to send someone to check it out and take care of any issues.
Negative experience: The apartment 303 was filthy and it smells. There was no cleaning done before we were attempting to move in, noticeable by unswept floors, pepperoni meat piece lying in the hallway, filthy balls of dirt and filthy uncleaned tubs, all floors and cabinet drawers and under the sinks. Dark food debris smeared in and on the cabinets of the kitchen. Multiple lightbulbs in both bathrooms burned out. The kitchen counter had damage. One of the bedroom has no bed frame. The kitchen table height was below my knee caps, standing height for a preschooler. We paid a large deposit last fall for our daughter to rent this unit this fall semester. Our initial complaints were responded with, “ well we are just the property managers” Then manage and enforce clean units for these young students. We drove 4 hours ready to unload items and now cannot- while requesting a cleaned apt. On line tour and in person tour of 2 different apts was nothing like what we got today.

Update 8/19: We have been in contact with several of the residents. From what I have learned, everything except the kitchen table has been taken care of to date. We have a new one on order, and it should arrive soon. Please reach out if there is anything else we can do.
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Alexis! She has been on top of everything. I put my application in and she called me to guide me through all the steps. Not only that, on the showing, she was thorough with the info and gave me great confidence in renting with this company. So far, MPM, has given me a great experience!

Fantastic experience: I've been contracting work with the folks at MPM for 2 years now. They are very cooperative and fast to respond. I deal with multiple property managers and I have not had one problem with anybody. I've been in my trade for over 25 years and as far as dealing with big management companies, these fine people are the best I've worked with.

Negative experience: was a summer subletter here, halfway through the summer I got a warning ticket on my car despite having my sticker in a viable spot and the management having my license plate number on file. When I contacted the office about it and later ran into the manager/owner she said “i know you weren’t given this information but the sticker has to be in the lower left corner of the drivers side windshield otherwise we can and will tow you at the owners expense” so basically if I hadn’t caught it in time they would have towed my car and made me pay for it knowing that they failed to ensure I had provided with all necessary information about their parking policy. This is a greedy company that prays on college students and if you have the ability of going elsewhere I would highly suggest going elsewhere. Update: the management company attempted to call me, so they are able to give me a call when I wrote a review that highlights their shady business practices but not when they have important information that could cost me hundreds of dollars if i don’t receive. good, good to know.

Fantastic experience: My experience has been great. Subletting for the summer and Sophia has been very helpful and kind; any maintenance requests were handled very promptly. No complaints from me.

Fantastic experience: I rented on a short-term 9mo lease from them and they were reasonable and fair. The agent was communicative, the hallways and common areas were adequately maintained, and overall I would rent from them again. I got my deposit check back in a reasonable time, and they worked with me on getting the garage opener and keys back to them. There are always pros/cons with management vs private landlords, so do your own research and pick your poison.

Negative experience: I would strongly disagree to ever rent from these people ever again. They will not fix are front pouch step that's been broken for the last 2 year, tried to get the building expecter to come out. He basically laughed and said good luck with Mpm. So what I'm trying to say don't rent from them EVER

Negative experience: I take back anything nice I ever said. MPM is the worst. Edit to add: I live in an old building without updates. My first year living here I was generally happy. My apartment location was great. The building had some issues but they were all eventually addressed and the apartment was still felt like a good value for Madison. With a few more years my views have changed. There does not seem to be regular upkeep so the maintenance issues are all after things break down completely, leaving us with water damage or without basic amenities until things are replaced. The nail in the coffin was a $600/month rent increase with the new lease for 2024. I don't know if this was targeted to us or a building wide change, but without major improvements its just not worth it. At one time I felt like MPM cared about resident experience while also being mindful of the bottom line (which is what I would expect) but that's just not my perception anymore. It feels more about making as much money as possible and with this market they will find someone willing to accept this arrangement.
