Fantastic experience: Review of Shelley Lazzareschi, Realtor Before I started working with Shelley Lazzareschi, of Mad City Dream Homes, I did my homework, i.e. took a home buying class, knew the difference between the types of real estate professionals, made a table in Word with questions to ask, interviewed five (5) realtors, and chose two (2) realtors to work with. Both realtors had very good histories about knowledge of the area, number of years in the real estate business, expertise in buying the type of home I was looking for, and the number of homes they had helped buyers purchase in the past 5 years. Both realtors were excellent, But Shelley was better with call backs and person to person communications, while the other realtor used ‘AI ‘to contact me, suggest properties, and answer some of my questions. Not what I wanted for such an important decision. Throughout the entire process Shelly, was always available to answer my questions, promptly returning calls and emails. She kept me informed about older and recent listings and provided honest feedback about the conditions of the homes. Things I never would have noticed without her help. If there was a problem, she got on it immediately and had an answer or a resolution. I began to feel like ‘we’ were buying a home together. I began to be able to ‘see’ the properties more clearly and realistically. Ask my own questions. This was very helpful when I decided to put down ‘earnest money’ on a condo. Shelly was there for every aspect of the process, i.e. the numerous contacts with the mortgage company, the inspections, documents review, appraisal and closing. I brought some stress into the process, but Shelley’s knowledge of the process brought the ‘calm’. I felt supported from start to finish, and I truly appreciated the personalized guidance and warmth that she displayed. The relationship didn’t end with the closing. Fantastic experience: Everyone knows a good realtor- but Layne Manning is a great one. Couldn’t recommend him more highly. He spent tons of time with us and never made us feel pressured or rushed which as first time home buyers was crucial. He went above and beyond to really understand what we wanted out of a home and advise us on where our limited budget was going to stretch furthest. When getting into the offer we could tell we were in great hands- Layne was up all hours of the day checking in, following up, and making sure the whole process went smooth as butter for us. In this tight market you really want someone advocating for you. We ended up getting a house 20k under offering and a less seasoned realtor may not have gotten us there. Most of all I could tell Layne just genuinely loves his job as a realtor which made it a fun experience. Can’t wait to work with him in the future…. Except problem is we love our house, ha! Fantastic experience: Dan (Miller) and I take an early morning class at a local Gym. When I found out Dan was in real estate, my wife and I started talking about our desire to sell the house. This was in September 2024. Dan sent us monthly emails on the market and what really impressed us was his casual, calm demeanor. Not once did he ask us about where we were in the decision process but as we asked him questions, we were very well informed and educated about neighborhood, what actually goes in a sale of a property and why is it important to be absolutely upfront about the home. Once we decided, we were pleasantly surprised to meet other members of his team and we are so grateful that Shelley took over the responsibility of transforming our home - Staging. Shelley has an excellent eye to showcase and the home looked so good that we joked with her that maybe we should enjoy this "new home" for a while before selling. Along the way, Dan's contact with handyman Grant, Painter Dennis and moving helper Casey helped fix and remove unneeded items effortlessly. 3 of them with Dan's and Shelley's guidance were so efficient that even though we were out of town for over 2 months, the home was completely transformed. All the credit to Dan as he made sure, in spite of his busy schedule, to monitor the work. The house was on the market for all of 5 days and we had offers coming in. Even during the open house, Dan kept us informed about potential buyers reactions and thoughts on the house. Fantastic experience: Alan Feder has been our agent / realtor twice now - once for the sale of our western Dane Cnty home a few years back and again for the sale of a smaller summer cabin ~40 mins east / southeast of Madison.
