Positive experience: When my partner and I were searching for a new home, we found good reviews for Keyrenter property management, and decided specifically for this reason to rent a property from them. We have been disappointed in the lack of readiness and lack of communication of Keyrenter. When I had toured the home back in November, I had seen that one of the bedroom ceilings was covered in lint. The touring agent assured me that the property would have a final clean before moving-in. Upon moving-in, my partner and I were dismayed to find that there were no functional fire alarms in the house, and no evidence of a cleaning. The bedroom ceiling was still covered in lint, there was food residue in the fridge, and air filters, fridge filter, and reverse osmosis filter were filthy. We called the move-in coordinator and provided a list of the issues. While waiting for action from Keyrenter, we adjusted the hot water for the shower, cleaned the light fixtures, replaced all the bulbs (most of the ones outdoors were non-functional), and changed out all the filters. Upon speaking with the move-in coordinator, she said she would work on reimbursing us for the filters, and that we could have a complimentary cleaning. Several weeks later, we still had not heard back about the filter reimbursements and complimentary cleaning, so I called and I discussed with our move-in coordinator, and she assured that she would get back to us. After five days, I still had not heard anything back, and so I sent an email. Since then I have received a "Maintenance Request" email, but no communication about what it is for. In this process, I was put into contact with David, the maintenance coordinator, who was very helpful, and was able to address our maintenance issues right away. Sam, the vendor/handyman came, and he was incredibly communicative, friendly, and took care of everything promptly. He installed the fire alarms, and vacuumed the ceiling, fixed the fence, etc... we appreciated having the ceiling of the bedroom vacuumed, as we had not been able to move anything into this room until then. Overall, it is apparent that there is a lack of communication and accountability for property readiness. It poses a safety issue when a home does not have fire alarms. It doesn't seem like there is one specific team or person who is responsible for these basic move-in readiness items, and we as the tenants have suffered for it.

Fantastic experience: 2025 update: still going strong. This is a great company to work with. —— Keyrenter has been an absolutely great company to work with right here in the Chattanooga area. They are based in the North Shore area but do property manage over quite a wide area, including Signal Mountain. What I like: 1. They set a high standard for the property and maintain it accordingly, always in consultation with the owner. 2. They are highly proactive. They clearly have the ability to identify and sign quality long term tenants. I never feel left in the dark about what is happening with the property. 3. Their maintenance management is exemplary. I have had the pleasure of working with David Jimenez on several occasions now, and the service provided has been courteous, prompt, professional and fully documented. David has demonstrated the ability to find skilled and well-priced contractors quickly. I really do feel like the property is in good hands. Highly recommended from every angle!

Positive experience: 4 seems fair. When a water leak happened in my ceiling, they didn't follow-up on the damages to my personal property (a lower-end foam mattress). That was in April. My HVAC blew a capacitor on July 3'rd. I felt like I had to press the company a little bit in order to get service, but like, it's the middle of the summer, and there are on-call 24/7, holiday-working businesses. The phone rep said they'd try to find someone to service the HVAC as soon as possible, and I've gotta hand it to them, they got someone to come fix it today (July 4th). Things are chill again here. I just hate that my life's problems are at the most inconvenient times. But KeyRenter came through for this. Sorry about getting yelly on the phone. I just got back from a 10-hour shift of mostly walking, and my dependent-lifeforms here doesn't know how to make phone calls.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I are in a property and we just renewed our lease under new management after key renter took over. These types of transitions can be messy and sometimes don’t work out in the benefit of the renter so we were understandably nervous when we found out this was happening. After our first conversation with Hannah, all those worries melted away and we realized we were in really good hands. She has gone above and beyond to take care of us and answer any questions and make life easy. Fantastic experience: Wow. Just wow. So I have lived all over the planet and country. I’ve lived at six different locations in Chattanooga alone. I have never, and I mean, never had such a positive and impressive customer service experience as I’ve had here and that’s specifically because of Hannah Miller. I don’t know how they found this girl or got her to work for them, but she is beyond exceptional at her job. My wife and I are so impressed. We genuinely feel like she cares about us like we are people. She’s known her whole life. Above and beyond customer service would be an understatement. She’s so friendly and easy-going and has a quick and simple solution for every problem or question. The company in general is fantastic, but I am just genuinely so impressed with the service. We’re getting from her that I had to sit down and take the time to write this review out. If management sees this, I hope you guys know how wonderful of a job she and the rest of your team is doing. 11/10 STARZ. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to living with you guys! Just renewed our lease as long as possible!

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend using Myles! My first favorite thing is very responsive replying almost immediately to all questions and concerns. Second favorite thing he is up front with all work needed to move forward, giving us an option to do it ourselves, or having contractors to complete work in a short turnaround. Last but not least nice guy easy to talk with.

Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience. The standout person who has helped me a lot is Myles. He originally showed the property I am renting and when we encountered a problem with the AC unit he was with me every step of the way. Not only was he there he has checked in on us after the fact too in order to make sure everything is going smoothly. You don’t deal with a company you deal with its people and Myles is great. He thoroughly explained how Keyrenter works, which made clear how their service benefits both owners and tenants. Once onboard, they marketed the property and it was rented very quickly. Negative experience: Updated review - I decided to give Keyrenter another chance having been thoroughly disappointed with Evernest. After discussing with Dana Templeton and relaying the problems I had with Evernest (lack of communication, incorrect / lack of details in billing...etc), Dana said they use the same software and billing practices as Evernest and that Keyrenter would not be a good fit for me. On the plus side, at least Dana was honest in admitting Keyrenter's billing and accounting practices cause their customers dissatisfaction (while also implying that they are not willing to change or modify anything to deliver a better experience). Be warned - if Keyrenter's accounting / billing are the same as Evernest's, you will absolutely need to watch Keyrenter like a hawk and stay on them about all discrepancies.

Negative experience: Myles gave a great apartment tour and really sold me on the property! I went tour a particular unit, wasn’t quite convinced, and then he had another unit to show and it was the one! I wouldn’t have applied if not for him. EDIT: I still think Myles is great, but I do think the management company is very misleading with the property of my interest. I did not continue because of their lazy practices.
