CENTURY 21 Northwest Realty - Glendale: Reviews
Negative experience: Terrible management company. Wouldn't recommend them to my enemies. Extremely slow to make repairs and not very responsive to concerns. Will find every way possible to keep your deposit. Thanks for nothing Sharon
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that your experience with our management company did not meet your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and would like to address the specific concerns you raised.
Regarding the "extremely slow to make repairs" comment, we understand your frustration with the timeline of the large water leak repair in May 2025. This was a complex situation where the initial remediation company, engaged by the plumbing service, unfortunately deemed it necessary to gut the bathroom. This unforeseen action then required another team at FMH to undertake a complete rebuild of the bathroom. The total process, from your initial report to the full completion of the rebuild, took approximately one month. We strive to complete repairs as quickly as possible, but in cases involving extensive damage and third-party contractors, timelines can be extended due to the scope of work required.
Concerning your perception of us being "not very responsive to concerns," we would like to clarify the situation regarding the roach issue reported in September 2025. Upon receiving your report, we promptly informed you that, as per the terms of your lease agreement, pest control for such matters is the tenant's responsibility. Our communication aimed to provide a clear and direct response based on the established lease terms.
Finally, regarding your comment about us trying to "keep your deposit," we assure you that our security deposit deductions are always based on documented damages and lease agreements. You questioned a specific charge related to a kitchen drawer repair. This charge was thoroughly re-examined, and after careful review, it was determined to be a valid deduction based on the condition of the property at the time of your move-out. We provided you with a detailed explanation, supporting pictures, and a disposition letter to ensure full transparency regarding this charge.
We value our residents and aim to provide clear communication and fair practices. We regret that your experience led to dissatisfaction and wish you the best in your future endeavors.
Fantastic experience: John and Rodica helped me buy my house. We closed escrow today, and I could not be happier with their work. They were relentless in advocating for me, and I am very grateful for the work they put it. I wish I could put 10 stars in this review!
Thank you for the kind words! We are celebrating your success and are honored to have played a part. We are here if you ever need us again!
Fantastic experience: I had an outstanding experience working with Century 21 Northwest From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free. My realtor Matthew was incredibly knowledgeable, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled perfectly. They took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, kept me informed every step of the way, and made me feel confident in every decision. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellent service really set them apart. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would highly recommend both my realtor and Century 21 to anyone looking to buy or sell a home. A fantastic experience all around!
Thank you for the kind words and recommendation! We are delighted to hear that Matthew went above and beyond to serve you. We are here if you ever need help again.
Fantastic experience: We recently switched to RPM and could not be happier. They are affordable, prompt, professional and pay attention to detail. Big difference from who we had before. I strongly recommend them to any community looking to improve your experience with management companies
Fantastic experience: Century 21 Northwest was helpful while we were starting to look at homes when we were thinking about moving. The team was really responsive and great to work with. We ultimately decided to stay in our current house but we really appreciated their support and would recommend them.
Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate the recommendation.
Fantastic experience: James Allen and Michelle and Roger most amazing people and team I blessed to have come across them totally went above and beyond and I would recommend them to everybody and anybody who asks me for advice and where to go to either rent sell or buy thank you guys for the blessings you guys are the best
Our pleasure. Thank you for being willing to work through this together. #Serve First!
Negative experience: Called to schedule a showing for a rental property they were listing. Property has been listed since 8/29/25 and has been sitting vacant with several price drops since then. Even after several price reductions I felt the property was still a little overpriced but figured I'd go see it in person to see if I could justify the cost. Spoke to Lisa Stilson over the phone as she wanted to go over some brief pre-qual info. Ok, that's great, buuuut then... queue the weirdest rental pre-qual conversation I've ever had. The questions she asked me and the things she wanted me to prove were strange and not reasonable. One example: I own a home and she stated I'd need to prove I don't have a mortgage. Ma'am, what on earth are you talking about? Apparently, Lisa believes it's not possible for a person to own and rent homes at the same time. She also had no idea how I'd prove that but was sure I needed to. Anyway, I have an agent I can use if I need one but elected to go view the property myself. When I arrived at the property Lisa wanted me to sign a dual agency agreement with her. Just to view the property. A property I may not move forward with after the showing. I declined and explained to her that I'm not comfortable signing it and there was no justification for me to do so on the basis of a showing. She insisted that it was required in order for her to show the property. I then let her know that I was formerly a real estate agent and was familiar with the documentation and its requirements. She insisted I sign it again, and when I continued to decline she opted to end the showing. Based on what I could see in the 2 minutes I was inside of the property, I knew it wasn't the place for me. Overpriced, dumpy, dirty, and managed by incompetence. To me, the quality and condition of the home and the interactions with staff were good indications of what I'd be getting myself into for a year long business contract with this company and NO THANKS. Resoundingly. Shouted from the mountain tops. For the property owner of 18240 N 34th Dr in Phoenix, I hope you know your investment property is bleeding money because you've tasked the likes of Lisa Stilson to manage it. At this rate, you'll never get that thing rented. She's a fairly new real estate agent and someone sang her praises for her representation in them purchasing a home...maybe she should stick to being a buyer's agent. For the property management leadership at Century 21, consider getting Lisa through some continuing education regarding rentals. At the very least, she should be supervised by or an observer to someone better versed in rentals. She's completely lost in this space. And for bonus ducks: the rental market is not a new concept. These companies charging sizeable nickels and dimes for additional monthly fees - renters know this is a scam. Charging me $20+/month for a shitty air filter to be shipped to my home? Insanity. Charging monthly admin fees? To do what administratively every month? Racket. No transparency in your listings calling out these erroneous charges? Misleading and borderline fraudulent. Do better Century 21.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
First, for accuracy, the home has since been successfully rented.
Lisa Stilson is not a property manager for this property. She is an independent contractor REALTOR® with our brokerage who was assisting with showings. As a licensed real estate professional, she is required under Arizona real estate disclosure rules to inform prospective clients when she works for the brokerage representing the owner. The Agency Disclosure/Dual Agency form she presented is a standard disclosure document used throughout the industry to clarify representation relationships. It does not obligate someone to rent the property but simply ensures transparency regarding who the agent represents.
Regarding the pre-qualification questions: our agents try to review basic application requirements before scheduling showings so that applicants don’t spend money on application fees if they would not meet property management criteria. One of the standard components of any rental application is verification of housing history. If someone owns their home, this is typically satisfied with documentation such as a property tax statement, deed, or similar ownership records. The goal of these questions is simply to help applicants understand what documentation would be required should they decide to apply.
As for the additional rental program fees you referenced, many property management companies today use services such as filter-delivery programs to help tenants maintain HVAC systems and reduce maintenance issues. These services and any applicable fees are disclosed in the lease documentation provided during the application process.
We strive to ensure all prospective residents are treated professionally and that expectations are clearly communicated in advance. While we’re sorry the property ultimately was not a fit for you, we appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you the best in your housing search.
Fantastic experience: Lisa Stilson made buying a home very simple and easy. I even closed early so I was able to move into my new home early. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. I saved her information and I've been telling people at work and family and friends about her so if they need to purchase or refinance they can have a good experience. Months before Lisa I was trying to find a home seem like it was impossible for me to get a home . Just knowing her for a week we found a place , and then down payment was affordable I would definitely recommend her to anyone.
Thank you for the kind words about Lisa! We are delighted to hear that she helped you close so quickly. Congratulations on your new home! Your recommendation means the world to us!
Fantastic experience: I rented with Century 21 Northwest for a year, they are most definitely the easiest company I’ve rented with. They kept up with all maintenance requests in a timely manner and I didn’t have to fight to get my deposit back. My property manager was always in touch and the girls in the office were always sweet and resourceful. I have no complaints.
Thank you so much for your kind review!
Fantastic experience: As a property owner, my condo was photographed, listed and rented within 2 weeks of signing with Century 21 Northwest
Thank you Melody for your wonderful review! We have enjoyed getting to know you, both personally and professionally!
Fantastic experience: Century 21 is awesome they are always on top of any needs that we need. They are always very quick and efficient. We have been renting for 3 years and don't have 1 bad thing to say it's been great. Michele the property manager everyone as well has always been super nice and helpful whenever we needed anything. If we sell our home we just bought or need to rent again we would definitely have them at the top of our list. Thank you guys again for everything!
Thank you Alexandra!!
Serve First is our motto here! I'm glad we have been able to assist you.
Negative experience: Do not rent a home here! This review is only in regards to the rental property management team. My husband and I rented a home from Century 21 for 4 years and the experience was awful. In 4 years, we had three different property managers - all whom were rude and non-communicative. We never knew the owner of the home, but they were also very uncommunicative with property management and didn’t care much about maintaining the house. We received the house is poor condition, returned it in much better condition for cleanliness and repair, and they still took the majority of our deposit for issues the owner refused to take care of via work orders while we lived there. He always took the cheapest route or ignored the issues all together. And most of the contractors the property management would send were incompetent handy men that couldn’t fix a door lock or install a dishwasher correctly. There was only ever one vendor that actually fixed issues the first time and he didn’t start coming to fix our work orders until the third year we lived there. Also, we paid for professional carpet cleaning at move out, and they still charged us $400 for carpet cleaning. I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed with these people and the rental experience. I can’t speak for the realty team but based on this experience, I would never consider them for the purchase or sale of a home.
We're genuinely sorry to hear you feel this way about your experience.
We want to note that we have no record of concerns being raised about our property managers during your tenancy, and most recently, you indicated you were satisfied with your current manager. As we’ve explained before, we act as agents for the property owner, which is why you wouldn’t have had direct contact with the owners.
Regarding the move-out charges, as stated in your letter, on the phone, and to you when you turned in your keys, you are welcome to submit a written dispute. We will gladly reopen the file and review any documentation or photos you provide.
Lastly, while we do not have a record of a handyman being dispatched for a door lock issue, we do show the dishwasher was installed incorrectly initially but was corrected, as this sometimes happens.
We regret that your experience didn’t meet expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify.

Fantastic experience: Angela Horga and Steve West were amazing to work with! I used their services to sell my home, and we had an offer in 4 days! These two understand real estate, their clients, and the market conditions! I would highly recommend these two to buy or sell your next home!
Negative experience: My experience with this property management company has been nothing short of deplorable. The professionals here are, inconsistent, deceptive, and frankly incompetent. Their expectations of potential renters, are not aligned with reality. It is apparent that this property management company does not operate on ethics, or consideration of potential renters. Do not waste time, or money on this property management company. EDIT TO RESPOND TO COMPANY: Thank you for your response to my review. Your response supports my point that this company does NOT operate according to any ethical code. It is unprofessional, unethical, and frankly diabolical for a company to blast personal, private, information about our application in an effort to prove that we solely held responsibility for the poor experience that we had with this company. In addition, your claims that we did not submit information in a timely fashion is not entirely true, as your professionals told us several times that we were through submitting information, and then proceeded to ask for more paperwork. If this company was genuinely concerned about rectifying the issue we had, they would have reached out to us personally.
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the application process. Processing times can extend when required documentation isn’t submitted upfront, which can delay approvals. In this case, we worked with you for over 10 days to gather all necessary information, including income verification and pet screening details, to present to the property owner. Unfortunately, the owner declined the application due to the co-applicant’s credit history, and without their qualification, the application didn’t meet the rental requirements. We strive to assist all applicants fairly and transparently, and we regret that this outcome didn’t meet your expectations.
Negative experience: Don’t waste your time applying for 7958 W Surrey Ave this home has been listed for 45 days I was well overqualified for this home, but they had Falsified my credit score to 594 and presented that to the owner When my credit score is well over 630s and unapproved my application because of my high credit usage because they couldn’t find nothing no reason to unaprove me so they came up with this sorry excuse not to approve me and also altered my credit score I had seen the house listed on multiple websites. It said the qualifications for this home was no pet. No smoking make three times the rent and credit score was negotiable, but I wasn’t worried about that because I have a good credit score. And checked marked all these box’s and make well over 4xs the rent so I was a qualified tenant after I had made a complaint about my application they had updated the add on websites that the house was listed on and erased the qualifications that they had originally posted so this is a bait house they are just making money off of your applications and showing it don’t waste your time and don’t give these people your money I feel bad for the person that actually owns the house because they are not actually looking for a tenant don’t apply for this house because they will come up with some sorry excuses not to approve you
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We genuinely value feedback and take your experience seriously.
To clarify, we use Experian for credit reporting. Applicants are always able to access a copy of their report and dispute any inaccuracies directly with Experian. It’s worth noting that the score you referenced may come from a different source.
Approval for tenancy ultimately rests with the property owner, and we respect their decisions in these matters.
Century 21 Northwest Property Management has proudly served clients for over 25 years. We are committed to transparent and ethical practices. While we firmly stand by our processes, as a gesture of good faith, we are willing to refund the credit report charge. Please contact us directly so we can process this for you.
We appreciate your understanding and hope this resolves your concern.
Fantastic experience: Working with Angela and Steven was an absolute pleasure! They were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. Angela was always available to answer our questions and provided valuable input that truly made a difference. With so many parties involved—the buyers, their realtor, the mortgage team, underwriting, and title—Angela went above and beyond to stay on top of everything. Her attention to detail and seamless coordination made what could have been a stressful experience feel effortless. What truly set Angela and Steven apart was how they took the time to celebrate the sale of our house. They helped us pause, reflect, and enjoy the moment, turning it into a special memory we’ll always cherish. I highly recommend Angela and Steven for anyone looking for an outstanding realtor team. They truly go the extra mile to ensure everything runs smoothly and that you feel supported every step of the way.
Fantastic experience: Jackie did an outstanding job helping my wife and me find a home rental. She worked tirelessly, meeting with us to visit numerous properties until we found the perfect one. Her dedication and commitment to serving us were exceptional. It’s clear that her remarkable character deserves recognition. Thanks to her diligent and caring work ethic, we found a home where some of our most cherished and intimate memories were created. We couldn’t have done it without her!
Negative experience: Beware to anyone using Century 21 as a renter. I moved in knowing the home had some minor esthetic issues like dirty carpet, dish washer and yard work issues. Therefore I took pictures of the home prior as well as my move out pictures that clearly show my efforts to make the home look even better than when I moved in. After all this work and effort put in I was told I would not be receiving my full deposit. Proof has been recorded on my part and I will persue legal assistance. I was able to track down previous renters and told my experience was exactly the same and they too had not received a full refund over issues out of their control. This seems to be a new scam for century 21 to legally steal hard earned money from renters! Please be aware and think twice before using them for business! My hope is that realtors see this as a red flag as well.
Negative experience: People who looking for a property management should looking somewhere else for better communication and services.I had them to manage one of my property, and it end up that they asked for contribution frequently, but never do the job to find a tenant or talk with me about any issue. When I email the PM and question about where the money spent on for a vacant house, she never responded me. Result is I switched to different mgmt company, it do much better than century21. So people… really…Looks like this platform only allow edit review, not response allow. Otherwise for my experience with them, I have a lot to say how terrible this company is
Hello, I am so sorry to hear that you're not satisfied with our services. We don't recognize your name in our system. We would love to speak with you during business hours. Please call (623) 299-2148 and we will do everything we can to address the problem and find a solution.
I also see that you edited your review to say that you are were an owner, before you stated that you were a tenant. Which one is it?
Fantastic experience: The level of professionalism combined with attention to detail make C-21 such a great company to work with. Their motto of SERVE FIRST is always on full display when whenever we interact with them. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. Their Rental Dept is above & beyond along with every Agent I have delt with. I highly recommend using this company.
Thank you so much!
Fantastic experience: Using a property management company really saved us a lot of bandwidth and worry living out of state. Special shout out to Emily C. who extremely responsive, organized, and easy to work with. Having a trusted property manager who communicated with us promptly and effectively made the world of difference. She is seriously the best.
Fantastic experience: Angela was a dream to work with. Her professionalism and drive to help us achieve our goals in the sale were outstanding. She went above and beyond and was in constant communication throughout the entire process. Thank you Angela!
Angela Horga is an outstanding agent! Thank you so much!!
Negative experience: Century 21 just wants your money. They seem friendly and nice... until the owner wants to sell the house you are renting and then the company tries to charge you thousands to get the home ready for sell.... NO THANK YOU. If you are renting, please make sure you are well informed before getting into contracts with these people.
Hi! We tried looking you up in the system, but did not get a name match.
As property managers, we don't have the authority to tell the owner of a home not to sell. It's the owner's decision. Nor can we charge you thousands to get the home ready to sell.
If you were charged this, there is a 30 day period where you can submit a dispute of the charges in writing (we will accept email too!). We are happy to discuss this with you. Your property manager should have stated as much, as well as the information is on the security deposit receipt.
Fantastic experience: Beverly Poulos is amazing! She was our property manager when we rented. She was most helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better manager!
Thank you so much! Beverly is an amazing property manager!
Fantastic experience: Just closed on a house today! Coltun and Logun are awesome! They were so patient, gave us their opinion and were so helpful overall! They connected us with our lender Kim and she was just as awesome! We appreciate all your hard work and will forever be thankful. - Highly recommend getting help from these three!
Positive experience: Mixed feelings I have family who goes through this company to lease a place and the property is not kept up the fines are rough the need for anything fixes is longer then a lifetime, mold is consumed the bathroom. Health hazard screaming just terrible
Hi Allison Ruth,
Thank you for your review and concern. Please call our office on Monday and we would happy to hear your concerns. Just to add a little background that be helpful, Century 21 Northwest doesn't own the property, we manage it for the owner. All late fees and fines are in accordance with state law under the Landlord Tenant Act, and work orders have to approved by the owner once it's submitted through our tenant portal.
If there is mold in the bathroom that was there before moving in, it should have been caught by our inspectors and the tenant during the walk through. If it's built up over a few months, then cleaned by the tenant. If you're seeing something else, please let us know.
Thank you for your concern and we hope that we can talk with you in general about your concerns. Since you're not the tenant, we can't get into the details, but are happy to answer the questions that we can answer.
We hope you have a great day!
Negative experience: UPDATE; lowering the score bc of their reply. I spent WEEKS, everyday I tried to message for more info, or request an application and still had no response. Their response was just a blatant excuse for horrible service. I tried get in touch with Debbie Egelin multiple times regarding a property. I was left with no answer besides “I am out of town for a few days”… the few days go by and for weeks I still am unable to receive any response. This is very frustrating and felt like she did not care at all. I gave broad knowledge of who would be in the home, my plans to move in, as well as a little biography about me to see if I was a perfect fit. I then noticed the property was unlisted. Have the common decency to at least say “we have considered someone else” or “this property is pending” The only reason I gave 2 stars is because when Debbie was on vacation I spoke to the main office. I forgot who I spoke to but he was very kind and made it seem like he made an effort to try and find someone who could assist me in touring the property while in town since Debbie was out of town. It didn’t work out in the end with the tour but he was kind enough to try and update along the process.
Good Morning. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Depending on what platform you tried to originally get ahold of our property manager, it may have not gotten directly to her.
When it comes to a high demand property, it is possible for us to receive up to 50 inquiries a day just from one platform. This doesn't include call-ins and the other websites that are advertising the property.
We try to get to every inquiry as quickly as possible.
Because we get so many inquiries, our Property Managers forward all leads to available agents so you can be helped as quickly as possible. You could have gotten a response from another Century 21 NW agent and not known that it was about Debi's property.
Negative experience: My advice to anyone who rents homes managed by Century 21 Northwest: Do not bother wasting time or $$ cleaning homes upon moveout. They will not return any of your deposit! We were in 5974 W Calle Lejos for only 12 months. Upon move out I paid for a professional cleaning, had the landscaping done and got the carpets cleaned by Stanley Steamer. I did these things in an attempt to get some of my $2400 deposit back. We did the move out inspection with Donna Juslin she was not happy with the cleaning, even though it was cleaner than when I moved in. Donna assured me they would be fair and not nickel & dime us. Donna then advised they would be charging for an additional cleaning. Ok fine at least I will get some $$ back, nope. They charged me to replace blinds that were trash when we moved in. They charged me $750 for a paint touch up. We were there for 1 year only, home may have needed a paint job but not because of damage we caused. They charged me to replace carpet even though carpet was worn when we moved in. They charged me $110 for a missing oven knob. Pack of 4 knobs cost about $30 at Home Depot. I disputed all of these things in writing. I was advised to give them 30 days to review. After 30 days went by, I followed up again, but Century 21 NW is not professional enough to even respond. The last review for this home (1 year ago) they did the exact same thing to previous tenant, this seems to be their practice. In 2021 the water heater broke. We were without hot water for 10 days while they searched for a replacement part. It's not fun bathing your children with buckets of water heated on the stove. I asked if they would compensate and reduce our rent for time home did not have basic need hot water but was denied and had to pay full rent. I have rented with several property management companies and received partial deposits back for homes left in worse conditions. I would not have paid for anything if I knew this is how they operate. They don't even say congratulations when you buy a home and no longer have to rent. They increased the rent from $2500 to $2800, are they not aware times are tough for a lot of people? Stay away from this company if you can. Wish I could give 0 stars!
Negative experience: It seems like all they care about is whether a tenant who is going to pay their rent or not because when we first moved into our place there were dead roaches on the floor there was still dust on the kitchen counters it wasn’t clean my wife had to go through and clean everything up herself I’ve put in several work orders for things that I feel need to get done but the property management says that we have to pay for that ourselves out-of-pocket well if it cost so much how do you expect us to do that and pay rent and that be covered in the home warranties like they’re not paying for an exterminator to come out and we have roaches When I called they said that we would have to pay for that out-of-pocket and the HOA charges me fees when I don’t own the home I rent it I would love to hear how other experiences have gone if we’re a few days behind with our rent because we don’t get our checks until the fifth of every month they send us letters telling us that we have five days to evict the property but I would love to hear some feedback if anyone can tell me how they beat this system I am not very happy and wouldn’t choose Century 21 to manage any of my properties ever
Hi Barry!
When you sat down to sign the lease, we explained when rent was due (on the 1st by 5PM). We can't make exceptions or it could be a violation for Fair Housing. Again, that was something that was explained to you and you signed an acknowledgement. The letters are sent out automatically when rent is not processed by the 1st.
Also, HOA violations are the responsibility of the tenant (again, explained in the lease). We expect the tenant to pay the violations of the HOA when the tenant is at fault. These are usually items that the tenant has direct control of: weeds, oil from cars, placement of trash cans, etc.
Negative experience: Maybe this will get the attention of someone. I have been trying to schedule an inspection and no one is responding back. I have been in the same rental since 2017 and have had three property managers. The one that I have now takes forever to email me back. Can someone please reach out to me so I can get this inspection done?!
Thank you so much. We will have the Director of Property Management give you a call Friday in the afternoon.
Fantastic experience: absolutely love this place. every employee that works within this building is absolutely amazing and hard working. they love to help people, support their community and are all like family. as a matter of fact there motto is to serve first. they just recently placed that on their building. they all go above and beyond for each and every person that comes through the door. words can't describe the respect that I have for this establishment and how it is run. if you are looking to buy/sell your home or anything that has to do with real-estate, look no further than C21 NW. You will not regret it.
Fantastic experience: Great people!!!! I'm honored to be part of this great family!!!
Negative experience: We honestly hated our realtor. All she cared about was a sale. Everything felt forced and for a first time home buyer, they lacked in giving information and blamed us for it at the end. We definitely should’ve done my researched. Although we purchased a home, she was no help at all. As soon as she gave us the keys, never heard from her again.
I am so sorry you had this experience!
Who was your agent? Please feel free to call us directly 623-979-0065. Please ask for Jackie.
Fantastic experience: Me atendió uno de los agentes, fue muy amable.
Negative experience: Sehr unhöflich am Telefon.
I'm so sorry that this happened to you. Did you contact our main line? Do you remember the name of the person you spoke with?
Fantastic experience: Yvonne Pascoe is an amazing real estate agent. I’ve worked with many agents in MA, FL, and AZ - and I was so impressed with how Yvonne managed the process and worked with me. She was diligent and thorough- and really REALLY listened to me when I was describing my criteria. She found properties that matched what I wanted and was always available night and day. I look forward to working with Yvonne again someday!
Thank you so much! Yvonne is one of top agents!
Fantastic experience: John and Rodica were recommended to us to handle the sale of our Mother's home in Glendale. From day one, they were attentive, proactive and sincere in helping us navigate the process of getting the house ready, running an open house and getting it under contract. My sister and I felt that both John and Rodica were 100% engaged and made this very emotional transition as smooth and easy as possible. From beginning to end, they were courteous, professional and available. Top shelf people.
Fantastic experience: The personal touch, collaboration, and communication is incredible. This is a seasoned, well-rounded organization that truly has your best interest at the forefront. They can spot an error a mile away in your paperwork and having a team behind you that has your back is extremely rare and just not heard of these days. If you buy a house, you must use Angela and Steve.
Thank you so much! Angela and Steve are the best!!
Negative experience: Here are some photos of the condition of the property when we moved out. Notice how clean the property is, also notice the photo of the blinds that came with the place. And how they are old and tapped. They are currently trying to keep 100% of our service deposit, because they needed to clean the home, and fix the blinds (the ones that are taped together on their last life). I have other photos of when we moved in, and the place was dirty. Toilets where dirty, dust everywhere, broke. Saw blade sitting in the shower. Next they are trying to charge us for having to move the fridge out of the house that we left…..it was their fridge (in the property when we rented it) We also had issue the entire time we rented from them. Water softener broke down day 2. Never fixed I moved from out of state, and the place was very dirty when we moved in. Items that they are trying to charge us for damage, where damaged and old when we took over the place. (We documented it so we are good).
Hi Mr. Roberts!
In case you weren't familiar with AZ rules, if you disagree with the move out report PLEASE submit the items in writing. We would be happy to review them.
I know that you are currently in contact with your property manager and she stated that your account is in flux due to the current end date of your lease.
If you have any other issues please contact us at the office so we can respond in a timely manner.
Negative experience: Don't expect your deposit when moving out! They will even go after you for more because of their lack of upkeep and dirty business.
I'm sorry, we don't have record of your move out.
If you believe that we are mistaken your next step is to dispute the move-out report in writing. You can email us a copy and drop it off in the rent drop. Please make sure your contact information is attached.
We will be happy to help you!
Negative experience: This company has been giving me a REALLY hard time on getting my repairs done. I have been staying in my house now for 10 months, and they have gotten little to nothing done. The city paid up my rent and now they telling me I can’t have people over. This is getting way to ridiculous and I can’t wait to end my time here. Diana Michelle and Emily are not being very professional in this aspect! I will never recommend the Glendale location due to the fact they don’t care about the tenants. It also could be the fact that we are black. One of the vendors called my boyfriend a N****r and the management team said my Boyfriend could no longer be on the property. I’m really disappointed in this company and the way they handle conflict and repairs. Might have to go to the courthouse with this if things don’t change soon! Negative 10 stars if I could!
Fantastic experience: Amazing place to work!!! Call for any and all real estate needs!!!
Fantastic experience: It has now been 3 years since I bought my house from C21 through Donna Scovil. It was the ABSOLUTE best experience of my life. When we first went to Donna we were engaged and young and had no idea what we were getting into. Donna helped hold our hand and explained every step of the way. She gave us all the necessary resources and made sure that we hit every one of my dream first home goals. Realty service doesn't get any better than this. Favorite part "Not me but God in me" is her email footer, Donna is such an honest woman of God!!!
Negative experience: Not good at all
Hi Don, I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience. What was not good about it? Can we setup a time to talk this next week?
Fantastic experience: Rodica is "THE BEST" Real Estate Broker in Arizona. I purchased my 1st rental property with Rodica a few month ago. Rodica was very proffesional, friendly, informative and current with the real estate market trends. She answered all my questions and went above and beyond making me comfortable and excited about my purchase. Rodica treated me like I was part of her family. I can't wait to work with Rodica again on my future investment purchases. If you need Property Management services, her team is AMAZING!!! Give Rodica a call today, you will thank me.❤❤❤
Fantastic experience: Angela demonstrated incredible professionalism, patience, and tenacity ... all critical attributes to compete for a home in the current market... ultimately, she won us a home!
Negative experience: Didn't care for the help.when you don't get what they want.they don't want to help you anymore.I wish they had someone that is willing to help someone like me.I give a 1
Hi Cathy,
I am really sorry to hear about your bad experience. I am not finding you in our contact list for our real estate agents or our property management services.
Could you provide me with more information as to why you called and who you talked to?
Thank you.
Negative experience: Had one conversation was told I would be receiving paperwork to get started never heard back from the guy again
Hi Adele, we're very sorry for the lack of follow up. We are always trying to improve our processes. Thank you for the feedback and I sent you a message on Facebook through our business page for the information of the agent and the details. Again, we are very sorry for this and appreciate your feedback.
Negative experience: Wish I could give negative stars.
Hi Julie, I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience. What was it that happened that made you feel that way. Can we setup a time to talk this next week to discuss this more?
Negative experience: Gross attitudes, response from the owner that makes 0 sense and reflects employees unwillingness to help, you can’t find me in your database because your employee never took down my info and sent anything like he said he would. Duh
We were not able to identify you in our database, nor the agent who helped you. If you would like to email me any other information about this agent, please do, I can be reached at: [email protected]. We understand going through a bankruptcy is a difficult and emotionally stressful situation. However, most home owners will not rent to a tenant with an open bankruptcy. We train our agents to offer these customers every possible option, including directing them to other companies if necessary.
Fantastic experience: The best place for rentals or home sales!
Positive experience: They put on a good drive thru Christmas exhibit, with a manager scene that had live animals and a real baby!
Negative experience: I had century 21 manage my property for a few years after my husband died. I was in a fog and when I came out of my fog I realized that they were nickel and diming me to death. The had small charges that both I (the owner) and the tenant had to pay. Then I found out that the non-refundable pet deposit that was paid was considered their money and when I ended the contract with them they did not refund me the pet deposit. This money is suppose to be to cover wear and tear and damaged caused by the pet but according to Century 21 it is in the contract that they keep the money. I would never recommend this company to any home owner or renter.
Negative experience: I was working with an agent at this company her name is Rona, she was helping me find a home for rent but wasn’t able to look into houses due to not able to reserve a house because I was planning to move in September. I’ve been working with Rona since July of 2020. She advise me that I need to wait at least 3 weeks before I move out so that I can reserve or hold the house which I agreed too. Rona was sending me homes every day which I like because she was been communicating with me but then when I liked a home I message her but she didn’t reply back after the 4th home that I was interested in I message her just to make sure she was receiving my emails and she said she didn’t read them because she thought it was just random emails, at the moment I was like ok it was a mistake but then she send me another email stating she was working from home and taking care of her kids and was unable to see the emails if I send her some if it was ok for another agent to take over. I reply back and told her it was fine, she then reply ok they will get in touch with you soon. It’s already been 1 month and I still have not heard from the other agent and I’m in need of a home so I send Rona a message stating that I was very disappointed with this company, I guess they don’t want to help me look for a home and I’m looking for a company that really wants to help me and doesn’t have any excuses.
Negative experience: I really don't have a great taste in my mouth about the company, the fees are ridiculous and there is no leniency even during the pandemic. There is also a lack of communication, i emailed staff and still haven't heard back weeks later.
Fantastic experience: I would recommend this service to any of my friends and family.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service and very professional.
Negative experience: Multiple, multiple requests for repairs went unanswered. Typical response was "landlord is difficult to contact". Ok, but the roof is leaking the tub is rusting through and the mailbox has rusted and fallen. Then when I left was charged for empty hangers in the closet and leaving the garbage disposal wrench under the sink.
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Century 21 Northwest for their Rental Property Management Services and their Residential Home Listing Services. Century 21 Northwest has been managing my Phoenix Condo for 9 years. Bob Davis, their Property Manager has been very professional. He always worked with me when I wanted to use my own contractors to save money and he also provided the Contractors that their Property Management are partnered with. Bob has always gotten tenants so that I would always have Rental Income. When it came time for me to sell my Condo, I worked with Rodical Bartels, the main Real Estate Broker for Century 21 Northwest. Her ideas and suggestions were used to get the Condo remodeled so that we can sell it for Top Dollar. Rodica also allowed me to use my own Contractor for Carpeting which saved me money. Rodica exceeded my expectations and she was able to sell the Condo at Top Dollar and it sold within 4 Days of listing it. All in all, I highly recommend Century 21 Northwest for and Real Estate needs. Much kudos to Rodica Bartels and Bob Davis. They took care of my Real Estate needs from the beginning starting with the Condo as a Rental Property and then 9 years later, they sold the Condo for me!! What more could you ask for!!!
Fantastic experience: Amazing customer service, look no further! I had to temporarily move to the area and they made the process so easy and painless.
Fantastic experience: Great company to work with. The employees are all professional and take care of my rental property. Highly recommend them.
Fantastic experience: Bob Davis is very kind and professional. Listens to needs and does whatever is necessary to have a satisfied customer..
Fantastic experience: What a relief to hand management of my rental off to the professionals here, as opposed to the headache of managing it myself in the past. They found us quality tenants and handled all financial transactions and maintenance requests. Thanks, Century 21 NW!
Fantastic experience: I am an overseas landlord and have had Century 21 Northwest managing my properties for 9 years. I have always found them friendly, prompt with communications, and quick instigating repairs or maintainance requested by my tenants. I recieve emailed monthly financial statements, and rent income deposited to my account without fail. Thanks to Bob and his team I don't have to worry about my properties
Fantastic experience: I have been with this group for 6 plus years. The property managers have been very good but I have to say Jody is outstanding. She has managed my unit for several years and pays attention to details, is timely with needed repairs, and goes out of her way to keep me informed of any issues. I live out of state and feel assured that all is well with my rental.
Fantastic experience: We have loved our experience with Century 21 Northwest. We were able to get into a rental easily and without hassel, and then eventually, we were walked through the process of buying our very first home. In the few years we were in our rental, the property manager was always quick to help us solve any issues in a timely and professional manner. We really had no idea that we were even eligible to buy a home, so getting into our dream home has been such a cool experience. Thanks Century 21!
Fantastic experience: Responsive and responsible
Fantastic experience: Jodi Yackle has handled our properties efficiently and expertly. We know if we just E-mail her or call everything will be taken acre of. We never have to worry about anything. Thanks to Jodi and everyone at CENTURY 21 Northwest Realty.
Fantastic experience: Rodica Bartels, John Crow and the property management team have managed our four rental properties since 2009 and have represented us in a half dozen purchases and sales. They are wonderful to work with! Highly recommend!!
Thank you very much Robert.
Negative experience: This place could be better with its customers service and the way some of the employees handle busy not all but a few
I am really sorry you had a bad experience. Were you trying to get in touch with an agent or a property manager? We were not able to find you or your email in our system and was not sure if we are your management company. With that said, we do care about our tenants and property owners and want to help if we can. Please give us a call at the office so we can work this out. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: Great business. They treat you like family.
Fantastic experience: Everyone that works at Century 21 Northwest are very nice and professional. The team has been a big help to my family. I really appreciate their genuine kindness
Fantastic experience: I want to express my gratitude to Bob Davis for his great service, he is extremely knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly. His professionalism has been outstanding! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my opinion.
Fantastic experience: They are very professional.
Fantastic experience: Leased through C21NW 2 years ago, property managers were professional and prompt when attention was needed. Would gladly recommend!
Fantastic experience: Bob Davis has been my property manager for three years, and I can’t say enough good things. His customer service is top notch, and I never have to worry knowing that my property is well cared for!
Fantastic experience: Bob Davis was the best property manager we have ever had. He was very fair to us and made sure we were aware of everything we needed. He also was very quick to respond to our needs when there was a problem in the house
Fantastic experience: I am so pleased with my agent and the team over at century 21! Thank you Michelle for everything I love my home
Fantastic experience: Juan Rivas is simply the best real estate agent my wife and I have ever worked with Juan is very professional, courteous and knowledgeable paying special attention to our needs being that I am former United States Marine on disability!
Fantastic experience: Yvonne is an awesome agent. She was so helpful and very sweet.
Negative experience: This company could only exist in Arizona. Terrible service, will accept overpayment errors but don't deduct them from future rent due, admin fees for everything, every payment option has a surcharge, and then when you question it, they manage to be condescending and ignorant at the same time.
Hello, we are sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience. We did receive your message about overpayment being applied to future rent and sent you instructions on how to apply the overpayment to future payments or how to receive a refund. Our apologies on just getting back to you today, instead of Saturday, but our office was closed over the weekend and while we are always available for maintenance requests or emergencies, we did not see your portal message until today. Our system will not flag automated overpayments and if you have any further questions please give us a call and we would be happy to discuss this with you further. Thank you again and we will be reaching out by phone to make sure this gets resolved.
Positive experience: Would not suggest them. If you are looking for a place to rent, wouldn't suggest renting the house at 11606 west Sage Drive, Avondale AZ. Owner will not fix leaking roof, mold in wall of garage from roof leak.
Negative experience: My down stairs neighbors daughter has her tv way too loud at night or day. When I moved in I was told my maintenance man that I had to be nice to her cause of health problems NOPE. Also unit 2 does not pick up after their dog and it smells. Something needs to be done about the constant dog smell. Where do i even begin. My neighbor to the East of me play loud music day or night. I have called the cops twice about this issue even complain to management. I was told they will be gone by the end of March well they're still here. Just today loud music yet again which give me a panic attack. Nothing works , neighbors smoke all the time and noisy tv day or night. Poor excuse of a maintenance man who thinks he knows what he's doing and his work shows it. We have been dealing with bees entering the unit which we fixed ourselves. Do your a favor and don't live here. Also I don't know who owns dogs who let's two of her dogs without leads. I have a multitude of run ins with her. Where do I begin day and night I hear my neighbors tv, smell their pot, I also hear next door neighbors music day or night. I'm tired of the lame excuses of the maintenance man. I had recently explain to the maintenance man four times about the a.c. also had slight flooding in my bedroom window that has never been fixed. Honestly I can't wait for my lease is up. This will be my last review of this place. I have a window that has been installed wrong every time it's rains it drips. I have called about this in August will call again on Monday , but I know my window issue will never get fixed and that's the sad part. Looks like I will have to fix it myself.
Negative experience: I’m so not the type of person to spend their day doing a bad review but I take my daughter and I safety so seriously and hopefully this does some good . This is By far the most unprofessional , disrespectful, and classless encounter I’ve ever had. My child and I have been without AC for a month it gets up to 90 degrees in my apartment and they have absolutely no estimated time of when they will replace my AC unit that stopped working a month ago. I was patient for 3 weeks when they kept telling me they’d work on it but now we’re basically at a month with no one telling me when it will be fixed. On top of that the disrespect is mind blowing. From the receptionist Casey that refuses to pick up magically after I told her about the issues I was having to the property manger Diana Hanson that’s says she’ll have someone work on it to the worst of them all “Bob” District Manger who is by far the most disrespectful person on the planet who literally responded “OK?” to me when I said I’ve been without AC for a month. Please do yourself a favor and do not rent from a place that is under this company’s property management. I would hate to see someone else have to endure the disrespect on top of the uncomfortable living situation my child and I have been subjected to. By law they had 5 days to fix it and it’s been a month. They’re literally willing to break the law than provide their tenet with what the law requires them to AIR. They will not do the legal bare minimum and I would advise you to please not rent here for your safety I really fear what will happen when the Arizona summer really starts it’s high temperature. This experience is terrible and I don’t know why they’re deliberately being so crude . Best of luck to you.
Negative experience: Illegally denied me the right to rent with them. Dirty apartment in partial disrepair posted for viewing and renting which is also illegal. Refused to return my holding deposit on time. My Response to the Owner's Comment Below from Jan 10, 2019: You denied me tenancy because a previous landlord 6 years ago in a different state sued me illegally and we settled as my non-payment was due to their refusal to do repairs. They were in breach of contract and not me, but they sued illegally without reason. I have performed perfectly on my contract with them. The reason you quoted in your email to deny me tenancy is because I was sued by my landlord and that is always an illegal reason and you were aware that it was not an eviction and they had to perform the emergency repairs that were overdue by several months to get my payment. Also, I received your refund check about a week after I requested it and not the same day as you state. Get your facts right before posting an official response, otherwise it is illegal again. I am happy to call you to discuss how you will remunerate me for your mistakes. I estimate you owe me about $9,500 in damages so far. I can discuss the details with you on the phone. What is your name so I speak to the right person when I call?
Hello Svetla, we're very sorry to hear that you had a bad experience.
We would really like to discuss this with you further because nothing illegal was done and something must have been misunderstood.
We have all of our agents ask a series of questions so an applicant is not put in your position.
All of the deposits and fees that you paid were refunded the same day except for the application fee, which is non-refundable and that point was made very clear to you before you made that payment.
We're not sure where the miscommunication occurred and would love to clear this up with you as soon as possible.
Negative experience: Rarely in the office to talk to anyone. And rips you off when moving out
Negative experience: Dont work with elizabeth romero. . .My husband is a vet with a service dog and wont show a house cuz the owners dont want pets .. ..News flash, thats illegal
Negative experience: I think that they try to be professional but just can't get it right..they make rules up as they go it seems. Big company like this i thought would have higher standards to the types of houses they represent in regards to rental houses. Big disappointment
Fantastic experience: Great staff
Negative experience: I had a maintenance electrical issue andfix it. She also originally was going to renew my lease the land lord refuses toand resended the offhe walked off the job. I had to put my service animal away becauseer in rewas not truedeny access. Whichtworker. She i im a 53 year old disble individua.s very protective of me.said Ialliation becase a ma9 i didbe unreasonable and discrimination based on ADA service animal which was documented not .and u experiencaring them due to mywant to have to mper lease. Never recommended
Hello Mark, I am so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. While we strive to make sure our owners and tenants have a great experience, unfortunately, Century 21 Northwest Realty doesn't make the decisions on whether to renew the lease or not. The owner informed us that he would like to do something different with his investment property at this time which is why there will not be a renewal on this property available. We would love to discuss this with you further to see how we can better help you in this situation.
Fantastic experience: Great company to work with , Don was very professional and put me and my family in new house very quickly for affordable price. Highly recommended. Roman from Surprise, AZ.
Negative experience: Bob Davis was our leasing agent with century 21 and the experience couldn’t have been more of a nightmare. After 3 months of living in the house we had an entire drawer front break off of a drawer in our kitchen leaving sharp nails sticking up. It took about 6 weeks to get the issue fixed which is very concerning because we have a 2 year old who could have seriously hurt himself on the sharp objects. We brought this concern up to him and it seemed like he thought it wasn’t his problem. The entire lease has been multiple different answers from multiple different people. On the phone with bob Davis i asked if they had pictures of the property before we moved in to make sure we were on the same page with what was done by us and what wasn’t. He then replied to me “I’ll assume you destroyed the place.” When i asked why he would assume that he stated it was because i asked if they had pictures. I have never felt so disrespected and discriminated against in my life. This company is suppose to be professional, but they are far from it. Stay away!
Negative experience: This is seriously the worst property management company to rent from. They only care about their money, a/k/a the Landlords, and they have no communication skills whatsoever. Here are two reasons why you should think twice about renting a house from this property company: 1) Over the 4th of July and New Years Eve holidays I was a little over 2 hours late (both times) getting rent in to them - one holiday my mother was in town from Iowa visiting and the other holiday I was in Mexico. They must have an automatic system in place for late payments, because both times I had a "5 day notice to pay rent or vacate" letter in my mailbox within two (2) business days. HOWEVER, THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY HAS NO SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR WHEN YOUR HOA HAS A NOTICE OR PASSES A NEW BY-LAW. Two weeks after moving in and parking on the street, our HOA passed a new by-law that overnight, on-street parking was not allowed. Since I never got notice, I had to miss work on a Friday to go to All City Towing to pay over $200 to get two (2) vehicles out of the impound lot - ALL BECAUSE CENTURY 21 NORTHWEST REALTY COULDN'T FORWARD ME THE HOA MINUTES. When I called my "property manager" Jodi Yackle to ask how I could be notified of future changes within the HOA by-laws, she basically told me I had no right to know what was going on and she wasn't going to be able to help me. I even asked her to send me the most current copy of the by-laws they had on file for the HOA and she never has to this day. That request was made in March of 2017. 2) I have had two issues with the house I am renting since I've moved in. The first week I moved in the fridge/freezer didn't keep cold so my food all went bad. Now, currently, the garage door has stopped automatically opening. BOTH TIMES I put in a work order the day after I noticed the problem. BOTH TIMES my "property manager" (term used loosely) relayed to me that the Landlord "didn't want to fix the issue at the time". For the first problem, I was told I could either buy my own fridge/freezer and take it with me when I move out. For the second problem, I was also told that I would have to manually open and close my garage door for the last 3 weeks I am in the house. THINK ABOUT HAVING TO MOVE AN ENTIRE HOUSE AND HAVING TO MANUALLY OPEN AND CLOSE YOUR GARAGE DOOR EVERY TIME YOU WANT IN/OUT OF IT. LET ME BE CLEAR WHEN I SAY I AM AN ORGANIZED, OCD-CLEAN TENANT WHO HAS ONLY EVER BEEN HOURS LATE ON RENT. I am respectful to other people's property and I keep to myself. I personally believe that a relationship between tenant and property management company (and Landlord, for that matter) should be a MUTUAL RELATIONSHIP. BUT BE WARNED, that is not the relationship you will get with this property management company or their "property managers". They will only do what they have to for the tenants, while doing everything they can for the Landlords. The house you find may be perfect for you, but it is not worth working with Century 21 Northwest Realty. Let me repeat, I PROMISE IT IS NOT WORTH WORKING WITH CENTURY 21 NORTHWEST REALTY.
Fantastic experience: Andrew was awesome! Super helpful and very responsive, and trust me I reached out ALOT! I would recommend him to anyone!
Fantastic experience: Carol and Judy we’re my Realtors in purchasing my first home, they’ve exceeded my expectations they are super sweet and always listening to what you want your home to be , they give their opinions which I love being a first home buyer can be stressful with so many decisions to make , they made it easy and stress free (: My situation was a different than most people and they recommend me to the best lender who makes miracles happen (Cornell) ! They truly work as a team get things done. I highly recommend Carol and Judy to help you purchase your home. (they will Drive anywhere you are willing to purchase! )
Positive experience: Very helpful
Negative experience: Dealing with c21nw was a horrible experience, problems with ac continually going out, half of plug ins didnt work and had to run extension cords, they wouldnt spend money to repair broken saltillo tiles, towel racks not secured to walls, a short in electrical wiring, i had to pay to have someone remove items left by prior renter but yet they kept part of my deposit for a chair that we forgot and my rent was always early and at times up to two months ahead on home located at 42nd av and keim dr
Negative experience: Rodica Bartels (Agent/Broker) was the seller agent for the house I just purchased, after the inspection we agreed on a list of things needed to be fixed. Seller's agent is fully in charge of hiring the right people to fix everything, after we close the house and went to the house, two of the problems were not fixed, one was fixed the three days later after the closing date, and another one is not fixed at all. We also don't have both garage openers which the seller's agent said they have dropped them off (which they are no where to be found). I have called seller agent and she is refuse to help or give out any information for the problems they suppose to fix, and said this is all my problems now.The seller agent does not want to give out any information or showing any interest of fixing the problems. During our house buying process, she is always very delay on all the responses. I have bought many real estate and dealt with many real estate agents before, as we have multiple rental homes, I advise if you are out of town any trying to sell your house she is not be the best agent for that. P.S. If anybody is interested in seeing evidence of the none repaired wall, please contact me for video. as we stated, nothing we have asked is out of ordinary and they are all listed under our contract.
As you acknowledged, you are not a client of Rodica Bartels, nor Century 21 Northwest. As a result, we cannot legally address your concerns. We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the experience you had in buying your home, but you are not and have never been our client, we represent the Seller in this case and we were hired to protect his interests.
Here is a link to a review that our client left who was 100% satisfied with Rodica Bartels as her agent.

Fantastic experience: I have worked with Marlene Russell, Sharon Grotte & Donna Scovil on Various transactions over the past 22 years. It has always been a pleasant experience with successful closings. I have recommended them to friends and family and will continue to do so, whenever the opportunity arises.
Fantastic experience: If I was looking to buy a condo or a home, I would have you as my realtor.
