Negative experience: Josiah Alleyne is the worst realtor in Brooklyn. His inept incompetence and lack of experience will only be the beginning of your headache working with him. Don’t leave something as important as finding your home in the hands of a child. Working with him was my biggest regret moving to NY. If the building you want to live in is run by ClipperEquity RUN in the opposite direction. New York has much to offer and mrgnyc is the definition of disappointment and a waste of time.

Fantastic experience: Jordan and Monty are an amazing team. From start to finish, they were always available, incredibly responsive, and thoughtful in their guidance. They had excellent suggestions when dealing with the sellers and consistently advocated for our best interests. They also recommended an outstanding inspector (who checked out the house with a fine tooth comb) and a great real estate attorney, which made the entire process feel seamless and stress-free. The house they helped us find was basically our dream house except for one issue we couldn’t look past. They found a contractor who came over right away and said he’d be able to make the changes we needed. If we would have delayed, we would have lost the house. The contractor is so amazing and we plan to hire for additional projects. Even after the sale closed, they have continued to be helpful in dealing with the developer, which really speaks to their commitment and professionalism. They’re the nicest people and we really loved working with them. We will absolutely use Jordan and Monty again when we sell our apartment (we haven’t moved out yet), and we would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for knowledgeable, trustworthy, and truly dedicated agents.

Negative experience: IF I COULD LEAVE ZERO STARS I WOULD! The most unorganized, unpleasant, incompetent office to work with. I was matched with Josiah Alleyne after Nash was apparently fired. They never follow up in a timely manner; you have to practically chase them down to do their job after paying your deposit. If you want a stressful experience, this is the place to give it to you.

Fantastic experience: Working with Josiah was an absolutely smooth and positive experience from start to finish. From our very first conversation, he was responsive, attentive, and genuinely focused on what I was looking for in a home, never treating me like “just another client”, but truly listening to my needs. Josiah’s professionalism and friendliness made a stressful process manageable, and he was always quick to answer questions, explain next steps, and keep things organized. It felt like having a trusted partner during the whole search and application process. I couldn’t recommend Josiah more. If you’re looking for a down to earth person that actually wants the best for you, he’s the person you want in your corner!

Negative experience: Manhattan Realty Group, specifically Nash, Sonya, Hamza, Isaac and Josiah, took over two weeks to process and approve a lease and required documents—an excessive and unreasonable delay by New York standards. This caused serious hardship for my sister, who was relocating from out of state. Because of their delays, she was financially strained and her work schedule was disrupted, as she had no access to the apartment she had already paid for and no stable place to work. The situation was made worse by the extreme lack of professionalism from the staff, Nash, Sonya, Hamza, Isaac and Josiah. Communication was poor, follow-ups went unanswered, and there was no sense of urgency despite repeated attempts to get updates. It felt dismissive and careless, especially given the time-sensitive nature of a move. It was only after my sister threatened legal action that Manhattan Realty Group finally provided a welcome letter and granted access to the unit she had already paid for. No tenant should have to escalate to that level just to receive basic documentation and access. I would strongly caution anyone—especially those moving from out of state—to think twice before working with this company. The process was stressful, avoidable, and handled unprofessionally from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: I worked with Henry Li who was nothing but incredible throughout the entire process. It’s a given that Henry is incredibly quick, diligent and talented at what he does but he is also a compassionate brilliant human who genuinely supports all aspects of the service he provides. I was needing to find a new place quickly and also personally in a difficult/ sensitive situation which Henry didn’t take lightly and has been nothing but incredible. Henry advocated for me and not only helped me get a really good deal but more than that he genuinely cares for my best interests and was completely transparent throughout the process .
