Positive experience: Great place. Tranquility at peak. Walking trail is great. Only one negative that public rest rooms are very few.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place to live. You can walk to many of what Chicago has to offer. Also its relatively quiet with spectacular views. However, Cook County taxes are very high; some of the highest per sq. ft. in the nation. There is also a special district tax where you are paying for the parks, yet everyone else is using them with no cost to them.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this neighborhood. Were I not a suburban dweller, I’d move to Lakeshore East. When I travel into the city,I can never leave before stopping by this park and simply taking in its beauty. I get the impression that MOST people have no idea that the park and the neighborhood even exists. The architecture here is stunning. There’s great grocery shopping w/gorgeous apartments and condos, and hotels. I’ve a cousin visiting me soon from Los Angeles, whom I’m excited to show this portion of Chicago too. I had tons of photos to showcase the area. Whenever I can find them, I’ll post a few for viewing. The space feels like “a piece of heaven” to me. I’m sure those who live here can attest to my sentiments. That’s a bold assertion for a non-dweller to claim. Yet, I’ve convinced by my experience of the area, I’m probably not wrong in my estimation of Lakeshore East and it’s park’s tranquility. If ever you should visit Chicago, you must walk through this beautiful area of Chicago. I find it stunning.

Fantastic experience: This park is a great option if you are staying in one of the nearby hotels. It has a small dog park inside. The view from this park is beautiful.

Fantastic experience: My favorite park in Chicago. Very few tourists ever see it as it can not be seen from ground level. Also imo the most beautiful and well maintained park in the city. I appreciate all who live nearby who pay a monthly fee for its upkeep. And it’s even a dog park!

Positive experience: Disappointed with "dinner" seating with a reservation. Seated in noisy bar. Food very good but not hot. Before the opening we were invited to register for a $50 discount on dinner. The offer was never mentioned again live in neighborhood so was looking forward to a new restaurant that we could walk to and enjoy often. Dubious after this experience even allowing for "growing pains"

Positive experience: Nice greenspace that is heavily used and showing wear and tear. Too many off leash dogs. Too many dog owners not picking up after their dogs. Too many people not picking up their garbage when they use the area. Shameful how little regard some have for this space.

Negative experience: Always well stocked. I got something from the smoothie bar, the person was mot practicing good hand hygiene. Didn't was hands before gloves where place on hand. Ran out of ingredients left the smoothie area came back and used the same gloves

Fantastic experience: This hidden gem is right downtown and not many people know about it. Unless you live in the area you won't see it. You might stumble upon it. Sit back and enjoy. In one area you have a nail,hair salons with a couple of food places and a grocery store. You can also get a massage at the chiropractor or therapy down the street. Plus a Mariano's with parking with validation of course

Fantastic experience: The lovely Lakeshore East community has this beautiful garden at its center. While the major Chicago parks are just a block south, this park is meticulously maintained thanks to the residents who support the park and gardens.
