Positive experience: The initial experience was bleak. I was placed with an agent that really didn’t care about showing houses. Benefit of the doubt, I’ll leave it at that. I sent an email to the owners regarding my lackluster impression and some details. They immediately responded with an agent that turned out to be absolutely amazing. Jay Hampton is one of the best people in JAX. He acted with haste and made things happen in hours, not days. If you do go with this company, make certain you ask for Jay Hampton by name. He made the whole process easy and got our repairs request fulfilled along with hooking us up with Nick Porter of Cross Country Mortgage Company. We got the house we wanted and Jay and Nick made it happen!

Fantastic experience: The lead realtor, Alicia Nieves, was very knowledgeable and professional in dealing with us and the seller. She worked relentlesslee to get us the best bang for our buck. She dealt with our shortcomings, as seniors, by providing us explanations on every email, text and document we didn’t understand. She also went the extra mile by providing us hardcopies for everything and explaining every detail. If there was any shortcomings for us it was that we did not have a computer or working printer and everything was viewed by iPhone. Back in our day we had neither iPhone, computer or printer. NOR INTERNET. The world has changed!!! Thank you Alicia for bearing with us old folks!

Fantastic experience: Realtor Kerrieal was very patient with me. It took a year and a half to close on my dream home. She never gave up on me even when I gave up on myself. She was my selling and buying agent. Never tried to sway my decision or show frustration. She listened to my wants and needs. I highly recommend Kerrieal as your real estate agent! On the other hand, the title company Florida Closing Company is trash! Do not use them ever again. Not only were they incompetent for the sell of my old home but they were incompetent for the purchase of my new home. I was homeless for about 3 hours because of them. Do NOT recommend Florida Closing Title Company!!

Negative experience: As a first time homebuyer, I am very disappointed with my experience. I was led to believe that the mortgage would be a 2 1 buydown and was not told by either the realtor or loan officer that the mortgage was setup as a down payment assistance program. I had budgeted for a lower first year payment that would come with the 2 1 buydown. It wasn't until after closing I found out the loan was setup as a down payment assistance program. Being a first time homebuyer, there were things I was not aware of. Closing was also canceled at the last second on 4 occasions so days I took off of work were wasted. That also is not respecting my time. I had given my notice to vacate my apartment and started to worry that I would not close in time. I ended up having to meet a mobile notary while I was on vacation to close.

Jocelyn took time to learn details and specifics about what we were looking for and the types of properties and location that we were interested in. She began her search and we ended up purchasing a property that had been on the market two hours! Negative experience: Have been on the fence for a while about leaving this review so I figured it was time. It starts good and ends terribly. I went house hunting at the beginning of 2024 with Jenna Courtney. She met me at a couple locations about a 45 min drive from her so I was very appreciative and apologetic of that when we just couldnt find the right house. We couldnt find anything we liked so we ultimately decided to sell before we found a home to buy. We had a couple offers in the first few days and went under contract soon after. The sell did not go with a couple stressful hiccups but we got through it. Very shortly after we found a house we wanted without a doubt and decided to have jenna represent us in the purchase of said house. Jenna knew we wanted it badly and thats where things turned negative. In the early stages of purchase negotiations I told jenna without a doubt that I was not paying any extra fees or agreeing to cover any seller costs outside of the normal. She reassured me multiple times that she understood me and that was not on the table. We ultimately ended up under contract with said house. A week later I received a call from my lender who is a family friend asking why I had agreed to negotiate to pay the owners title policy. I was confused because like most people I dont buy and sell multiple homes to understand all the ins and outs of a purchase contract and lean heavily on my realtor to hold my hand and guide in the right direction. After talking with my lender I called jenna and confronted her on the issue. She was caught off guard. Her first reaction was basically asking me where I got that information from and once I told her my lender pointed it out she went on defense and tried to remind me that we talked about having to sweeten the deal by covering that owners title policy. Which is 100% untrue. She knew how strongly I expressed that I did not under any circumstances want to cover any expense that is not a normal purchaser expense. The policy was almost 3k so I was pretty upset. From there on she had no answer for me regarding that situation. The relationship turned to me only speaking to her when I absolutely had to and when I was informed that I could now choose the closing/title company there was no way in hell I was using her companies in house closing. When she found out that I made that choice she called me questioning my decision, sounded very desperate and even offered to cover that owners title policy to make things right between us but I had to use dj lindseys in house title company. I agreed but she never followed through and ultimately I used Landmark Title which was an amazing company to use for all closing/title duties. I kept it professional with her all the way through the transaction. She did the normal basic stuff your realtor would do when you purchase a home through them and gave us a card and a cutting board but never truly apologized for basically using my money as her negotiating tool to get the contract. When people ask me “hey since you have sold and purchased a home do you have a realtor/company you recommend?” I always respond with use anyone but. 4/1/25 Well since google didnt notify me that you erased your original response and since wrote your most recent response which is only half true Ive got time today to respond back. I acknowledged Jenna worked hard up until certain points in the process. Second she did offer to cover the costs which I agreed to in which she quickly flip flopped and rescinded that offer. You think I would write a negative review if she covered that cost? Yea, no. It would’ve been handled then. Also she did not find us temporary housing. We found our temporary housing. Like I said originally there was good and bad. But The bad outweighed the good by alot. Your response indicates that you did no wrong period and its evident with your lies sprinkled in. I guess you really dont want honest reviews because you definitely dont give honest responses. Especially when you delete the original response and come back with that edited response.

Not very helpful and surprised us with charges that could have been explained much better. If properly planned, I believe the charges could have been handled differently. Positive experience: Look it wasn't all bad that's why my rating is where it is. The positives was our house was sold and Emily Tappen who wasn't even our agent went above beyond the duty of her job by coming out and painting a shed when the inspector for FHA was being difficult. The negatives were it just in the end didn't seem like we were the first priority our agent who never showed us a house during the time our home was under contract failed to negotiate a critical task that me and my wife asked for and at the closing it was like a ghost was saw because we hadn't moved a piece of furniture and why would we thought we had time after closing. We moved a over 2000 square foot home in 3 days which was not the plan at all yet im happy that's it's over with and we'll be moving into our new home June 3rd. I wouldn't not use DJ and Lindsey again but it wasn't 5 stars. Biggest area to improve is communication that was very lacking. Which to be honest looking back on it I don't think the realtor we had was very experienced. I've read glassdoor and yelp reviews also indeed and did my due diligence before selecting the company that was going to handle our biggest assest because I don't completely trust the reviews on a company page. Its quite telling and makes sense now. Look I don't care about the jags sponsorship just be good at what you do in the end hindsight is 20/20 I probably should have stayed with Watson Realty. Reply: We were only shown homes prior to our house going under contract and that was early in the process like very early because we didn't want to look at homes if we didn't have the money to buy. We were supposed to see maybe a home together but I was so turned off by the lack of conversation that I chose someone else to do it and we ended up buying the house she was supposed to show us. I didn't go with my friends who work at Watson because I already had an agent which was her so when we were handed off to Emily I was surprised that there wasn't any communication at all especially during those critical times where we would have liked to be involved like having 3 days to make magic happen while also satisfying the FHA requirements. Look we just didn't feel like we were fought hard for and if we were how would we know our agent was radio silent. As far as her experience compared to the people I could have gone to is minor I was dealing with one broker who currently runs an office her husband sells homes as well a previous broker who is a vice president now and his wife who's just an agent with over 30 years experience and my best friend who sells homes as well. I had my pick but picked you guys so when I told her early that I knew how this process would go it's because I've been around it a pretty good portion of my life and I know what good agent work looks like. So my standards are high because I watched them do it at the highest levels at every step. I didn't mention Stephanie's name in my comments because I didn't want her to be seen in a negative light for an assumption she had that was unfortunately wrong. She wasn't only supposed to sell our home she was supposed to help us buy one as well.

Negative experience: If I could leave 0 stars I would. This review is not about DJ or Lindsey other than to inform them about a terrible employee. We set up a day and time with a realtor named Juliana Lijeron who works for this company. We are from out of town. When we were about half way we made a call to her to confirm meeting place. We had many homes we had set up to look at. When we called she said she had emailed an email we had specifically asked her not to use to cancel and give some information about the homes (basically so we could do it ourselves) because she would not be able to show us any of the homes. We checked she never sent the email. She did finally send it to the email we had asked her to originally after speaking to her at 10 am but we were supposed to meet at 11:30 and as I said we are from out of town. This was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL she did not even give a reason for the cancelation and I'm sorry but if you have a set time to meet someone you call to cancel especially with less than 24 hours notice and again especially if you know they are driving hours to see you. So after driving all this way we managed to contact ONE realtor that is directly dealing with ONE house out of the several we wanted to see on the trip. We would have rescheduled with somone else had she just picked up the phone and called. I belive she did this because the homes we were looking at are fixer uppers and she deemed them unworthy of her time but clearly did not care about wasting ours. She was told about this from the beginning and should have said no immediately if she didn't want to do it and we would have found somone else but no she wasted our time and money since we took time off to do this in the first place. Now unless the one house is the miraculous one that happens to be it we will have to do this all over again with another company another 2 days off and another long drive.

Fantastic experience: My agent was Madison Morse and I could not have asked for a more professional, helpful, and knowledgeable agent than Madison. She showed my wife and I all the properties we wanted to see in a timely manner and found additional properties that were similar to what we were looking for. All of our queries were addressed in minutes literally. She handled the back and forth of closing the deal painlessly and we are so satisfied with how the process went that we cannot recommend her highly enough. I would definitely work with her in the future.
