Fantastic experience: Luna was amazing today. This is the first tech to come out and address issues that were not on the work order. Other techs have told me I have to put in a work order and have them come back out even though they were at my home and I understand that may be protocol and out of their hands but to have a tech come in and say if there is anything you need while I am here let me know and I will get it done was a breath of fresh air. His energy was amazing, you can tell he enjoys helping others. If I can give him 10 stars I would. He went above what was asked and for that I appreciate him so much.

Negative experience: Ive been having plumbing issues since September. My water bill has steadily gone up waiting for Mainstreet to make repairs. I’ve reached out to the rental company over and over again who has told me “it is in the vendor’s hands and they should be reaching out to coordinate repairs”. I am without water (again). No showers, no toilets, can’t do laundry, can’t wash dishes. Had to use a a bottle of water to brush my teeth this morning. I am without water and accommodations for alternative stay for the equivalent of a month now. I just want everyone out there to understand the urgency here with 4 kids not having water and Mainstreet doing nothing about it. Garbage service.

Positive experience: John C. did a phenomenal job repairing a leaky main at our home. The pipe connecting to the meter was broken and leaking a significant amount of water, but he was able to replace and repair it in just about three hours. I’m very grateful that he made sure my family had running water before leaving for the day. Give the man a raise! While John did a great job, I’ve been disappointed with Mainstreet Renewal’s overall customer service. They refused to take responsibility after one of their trees caused damage to my vehicle. On Saturday, a technician was scheduled to repair the water main leak but never showed up, wasting my entire day off. When I called, Mainstreet refused to send anyone out immediately and told me to wait another two days. This is an unfair result because Mainstreet charges $100 no show fee had the roles been reversed. I’d like to see Mainstreet offer restitution when they don’t live up to their end of the bargain. Another ongoing issue is the poor-quality flooring installed throughout the house. The gray vinyl LVP looks nice at first but has peeled and splintered after just a few years. The only way to replace it is to completely empty the house so the work can be done — an unreasonable expectation for tenants. One positive note is that they did remove two problematic trees, which I appreciated. Overall, while I’m very satisfied with John’s professionalism and work, Mainstreet Renewal’s management and customer service still have a lot of room for improvement.

Negative experience: Completely unacceptable maintenance response and lack of accountability I have been a tenant in Jacksonville, FL, and the ongoing neglect from this property management team has been beyond disappointing. Last year, we endured months of plumbing issues that made the home nearly uninhabitable — we were left unable to use sinks, baths, or toilets for days at a time. Every time we were promised a visit or repair, no one showed up, and communication was nonexistent. It took endless follow-ups to get even temporary fixes, which never lasted. Fast forward to this year, and now we are facing a serious electrical problem. On October 14th, I reported that several outlets and lights in the garage, bedroom, and bathroom were not working, affecting my refrigerator and CCTV system. A worker showed up days later, said we needed an electrician, then closed the request as completed—leaving everything still broken. I later learned that because of that mistake, no electrician was ever assigned. It has now been over a week, my food has spoiled, and I’ve lost confidence in this management’s ability to maintain safe living conditions. This is not just poor service — it’s negligence. The home remains at risk due to unresolved electrical issues that could easily become a fire hazard. I have formally informed management that rent payments will be held until these issues are resolved and that I expect compensation for the repeated loss, damage, and distress caused by their inaction. If anyone is considering renting or working with this management company, I strongly urge you to think twice. The lack of urgency, professionalism, and follow-through has been consistent for over a year now.

Negative experience: The refrigerator is not keeping a safe or consistent temperature. Even though it still blows cold air, food is spoiling and freezing unevenly. Milk has spoiled within a couple of days, and eggs have actually frozen inside the fridge section. This shows the temperature is fluctuating between too warm and too cold, making it unsafe for food storage. Maintenance looked at it but said no replacement was needed because it “still blows cold.” However, the problem continues and is affecting food safety and causing loss of groceries. Despite clear signs that the appliance isn’t functioning properly, the company has not treated this as an urgent issue. I have already lost groceries and am concerned about food safety. Tenants deserve working appliances that maintain safe temperatures, and this situation needs to be taken seriously.

Negative experience: Had a busted pipe ( slab leak) for almost a month without any one doing any thing about it. We lived in a home with water coming through the master bedroom, hallway, back porch, back yard, garage, and front yard. It even went into the neighbor’s front yard. This company is fine until you have a maintenance issue. Then they don’t care about their properties. We are currently waiting for the issues to be corrected. All while inhaling black mold.

Negative experience: Avoid this property management company if you can. Getting maintenance scheduled is the biggest hassle with them. They will give you a date and time and then never contact you and reschedule it over and over again, and when they finally do show up they just state that you were unavailable so they reschedule again. They also do not do pre move in inspections even though they say they do. We have had nothing but issues and it hasn’t even been a month.

Negative experience: Slum unit, moved in to moldy, rusted, dented appliances. Grass was overgrown, toilets leaking, missing shower hardware. Norman James is a slum maintenance manager! He needs to be investigated! Refused to replace refrigerator! Property management and maintenance refuse to address issues. Avoid this company at all costs. They simply sprayed bleach over mold and wiped it around appliance is still moldy and rusted! Company is full of lies and bad service.
