Unfortunately, events such as severe weather and resulting property damage are outside the control of a property management company. When the incident occurred, repairs were coordinated as quickly as possible to address the damage and restore the property.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience. To clarify, this incident took place at "The Shift" apartments in May 2023, and you moved out in June 2023 due to the damage that occurred. Meridian Property Management no longer manages the community where this issue happened.
Since that time, we have updated our maintenance processes to ensure that properties we manage are well cared for and that maintenance issues are addressed promptly and thoroughly. To clarify, during your move-out on April 25, 2024, you were provided with a detailed list of items that needed to be addressed prior to vacating the property. Per the lease, residents have the opportunity to return to the property and correct these items in order to receive their full deposit back.

In this case, the list was sent prior to move-out, and the deposit was applied toward charges for items that were not completed as required. All charges were documented through inspection and outlined in the final accounting you received.

We understand move-out charges can be frustrating, and our goal is always fairness and transparency.
