Fantastic experience: Seriously THE BEST Property Managers I’ve ever worked with…and that is coming from 7 years as an HOA Manager covering two different states where things you’ve never dreamed of from renters and owners would blow your mind along with the blatant disrespect shown in the industry universally. Be kind, PM’s have a tough job and are legally bound. Zoe and Mike, the maintenance team, their subcontractors, their customer service call center along with their portal technology, which makes everything smooth and seamless, is high level service, not to mention the owners of my rental property who actively participated instead of being absent owners. It’s with a heavy heart that I have to move, yet if I ever needed a rental again, I would only go through Buyers Real Estate. Thank you!!

Negative experience: When I first moved in, they were great about fixing the maintenance issues quickly. But after that things went downhill. I put in a request to fix the toilet as it was running constantly - the first request got cancelled with no explanation, the second request sat open for a YEAR. Finally I just cancelled it and got my boyfriend to fix the toilet. Kitchen faucet was leaking so I made another maintenance request and they scheduled someone for a day I said I was not available....

Negative experience: Responsive until you move in then crickets ..... Moldy broken dishwasher since 11/2024. Maintance requests getting cancelled with zero contact. Had brown water leak from a ceiling fixture in the kitchen all over my produce and floor and nobody came to inspect or repair. Enough evidence to file complaint with Alaska department of commerce, community and economic development and Alaska legal services corporation as well as report to municipal code enforcement division for habitability violations such as mold.

Negative experience: It is impossible to talk to anyone in the office. They will not call you back. They are very unprofessional.

Negative experience: Our lease states that dogs are allowed and now the property is trying to say since we have an updated unit they aren’t. Which is illegal and they have now given us a 10 day notice to either get rid of the dog or face eviction. Always payed rent, taken care of our things and now facing a possible eviction over a dog stated we can have and have been trying to pay the deposit on is CRAZY! No one is answering phones, you’ll wait up to an hour for the call to drop, voicemails that are unresponsed too..

Negative experience: They will not communicate with you for any reason after you sign a lease. The property is old and damaged. I have called the office multiple times and left a message and no one has called me back. Maintenance requests are not answered in a timely fashion. I think all these 5 star reviews are fake.

Fantastic experience: I rented a unit for 4 years had a couple of hiccups. I received a telephone call from Mike the owner of Buyers Real Estate asking me to give him insight to always better and improve his business. He took the time and to have great conversation . Mike is one of those rare guys who talks, listens and his word is rock solid and he stands by his word! Thank you Mike you are the real deal!

Negative experience: If you live at one of their properties you can never get a hold of the front office when you’re experiencing an issue that is meant for them to resolve, I recommend you look else where and let this place be your last last LAST option.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: got a swift response to this complaint, and updated my review accordingly -- they were very accommodating and understanding of the issues at hand. I don't know how they are as landlords, but living next to one of their properties has absolutely sucked. Nonstop noise, trash coming into my yard from theirs.

Positive experience: Great move experience with this company. They were very communicative the whole way. The direct office could be more responsive to tenants. They do not answer the phone but if you talk in person at the office they are still very helpful. Would recommend

Negative experience: Horrible people to deal with. Unresponsive. Won't address valid maintenance issues. Guessing most of the reviews on here are fake, almost exclusively 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: Easy move-in process. Fast to respond, easy to get ahold of. We moved into an older unit and it had a couple minor issues, but I am happy with the way they are being handled. Our shower wasn’t working (bath was fine, we could survive), but it was fixed within 24 hours of the maintenance request. We moved into an older unit with some paint stains on the floor, an almost broken cabinet, and a few other things. All of those were specifically notated in our inspection report which helps the worry of if we will be charged for something we didn’t do. So far, I am very pleased with management.

Fantastic experience: They were great! Approval process was simple and quick. There was a little hiccup with my apartment not being ready in time but they helped solve the matter quickly and efficiently. I even got a nicer apartment out of it wink I had to move out early so I could move to be with a sick parent and they were so kind and accommodating. When I move back to Alaska, they will be the first place I look for housing!

Fantastic experience: I want to start off and say this Real Estate has an amazing worker named Ashlea, and I genuinely am so thankful I was able to work with this team. I currently was going through a tough time and was very stressed about my living situation and Ms.Ashlea helped me throughout the month on finding my perfect home. She was very timely and very helpful with every question or concern or problem we had bumped into and never gave up on me! Majority of the time I had never got a reply back from properties or private owners when trying to rent or had a very rude person to work with in the process but Ms.Ashley didn’t show any ounce of that and had kindness towards me the whole time and that alone goes a long way! I look forward to being a tenant :)

We mostly communicate through email and they respond within 24 hours every time. Every time I've had a question they are quick to answer it. I definitely would recommend them. They've given me much peace of mind.

I've been happily occupying my current apartment for over 2.5 years - I have always received prompt and courteous service when calling in or visiting the office. Staff communicate effectively, and maintenance requests are handled very quickly and with minimal intrusion.

Timely communication and punctuality of maintenance (not emergency maintenance, they’re wonderful) has been on and off since I moved in (and that was a few years back), but everything eventually gets fixed. Cant expect total perfection, we’re human after all. 10/10.

They currently don't allow tenants to see final inspection with them which I had concerns with because everybody needs their security deposit back but he made me feel that I could trust him it will be taken care of. But in contrast, Michael and his team did a great job for me in managing my condominium rentals. On the very few occasions where an error was made, they were quick to take responsibility and solve the issue at hand. Fantastic experience: Overall they are quick to fix any issues in the building itself. But I did bring a complaint to one of the property managers (I talked to said neighbor about it but the issue wasn't remedied) about an issue and never heard anything back. EDIT: the owner of buyers real estate contacted me about 20 minutes after I posted this and we got it sorted out. I may have fallen through the cracks, no biggie.

Fantastic experience: We recently just moved out of a BRE managed duplex. My family and I rented from them for 5 years. The best 5 years ever. We were so sad to leave them. Every time there was an issue BRE took care of it. From anything minor, like the sliding screen door being off track, to anything major, like the hot water heater is leaking or the garage door won’t open. They always addressed the issue at hand all while being professional and courteous. BRE is hands down the best landlord (property management) that we have EVER rented from.

Not only are they fairly priced in their Management fees but they offer a more human face of property management which not all other companies in town do. If I have an issue I can shoot them an email or give them a call and know that I’ll be able to get an answer or be put on the path to getting my problem solved quickly. I can’t over emphasize the value of having that kind of communication with your property management team. I’ve had to deal with many issues ( ranging from evictions to property damages/repairs ) and they have never let me down handling everything professionally and quickly. They’ve helped me find some really good tenants for my property in a historically more challenging part of town (Mountainview). Positive experience: Rented for a little over a year and we unfortunately had moved into a place that had a pest issue that buyers was unaware of, with that being said they jumped on the issue and fixed the pest problem. It took time and patience but I appreciated them going above and beyond to help us. They returned my deposit upon leaving a clean apartment and satisfied lease. I would rent from Buyers and recommend them as landlords.
