Fantastic experience: I recently worked for almost a year with Kyrsten at Dar Walden to find the perfect home. I initially thought I was ready to go, and some things with my divorce held up the home buying process for me, so I had to put it on hold. Kyrsten kept in touch with me occasionally, and was extremely patient with me, showing me numerous properties. I was looking for the perfect home for my son and I. After needing almost a year of off and on looking, I finally found my perfect home, and I owe it to Kyrsten. She was amazing through the entire process. From pointing me to a lender, to the inspector, and contractors for things I wanted to do after closing, everything. Even though she was out on personal time, she still took my calls and texts, and answered emails, or directed she me to someone who could help. And everything she did was with friendliness, kindness, and sincerity. 5 stars isn't enough. There were some hold ups on the appraisal, which caused the closing to be move out almost two weeks, and I had scheduled to have furniture delivered a few days after the original closing. It would have cost me a LOT of money to switch dates. She worked with the sellers and met me to have the furniture dropped off and set up. I honestly can't even remember all of the things she did because the list is so long. I kind of wish I could buy houses more I often so I could use her as an agent more than once every 10 or so years. But I can recommend her to everyone I know, because she's absolutely amazing at her job, and goes out of her way to get things done, if it's possible. Dar Walden, you have an amazing asset with Kyrsten. Hold on to this one!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

She is one of the MOST professional, responsive, and caring individuals I’ve encountered in real estate. I’ve found her communication to be great, and respect that she is a human being that will occasionally have moments of being disconnected from her phone (because we ALL should)! Beyond being well informed in the home buying process, she also has fantastic local knowledge and is quick to suggest a great neighborhood to explore, a quality contractor to work with, or a new local business to support. Negative experience: Our experience with Melissa ‘Missy’ Hernandez from the Dar Walden team was extremely disappointing. From the moment we submitted an offer, her performance, knowledge, and communication were consistently underwhelming. If we could have fired her mid-contract without jeopardizing the purchase, we would have. Throughout the process, communication was a persistent issue. A major complication with the property documents during underwriting was identified by our lender and communicated to her and her team, but we weren’t informed until two and a half days later—after we had already locked in and paid for key aspects of our move. We were told the issue was “handled,” but it could have delayed closing by weeks. We were not consulted, kept in the loop, or given the opportunity to act sooner, which could have prevented unnecessary stress and additional costs. This wasn’t the first time our concerns were ignored, and when we raised them, Melissa dismissed our frustration and told us to “take some time to cool off” in a voicemail. That level of condescension is unacceptable, especially when our concerns were based on real consequences—not emotion. Even after closing, her lack of professionalism continued. We informed her that the home had been left unlocked after our final walkthrough, and she didn’t even respond. Now, more than a week later, we’re still dealing with issues directly tied to things she should have explained clearly before we closed. Her failure to prepare us or follow through has made this transition far more difficult than it needed to be. Buying a home is a major life event, and it requires a knowledgeable, responsive agent who puts their clients first. Melissa Hernandez failed to meet that basic standard at every turn and on multiple occasions we had to outsource to realtors we know personally in other states to get basic information she could not explain to us while we were looking at homes before we were under contract. We cannot and will not recommend her to anyone looking for a smooth or well-supported real estate experience.

Negative experience: Dont use this company. I did because they had good reviews. My one request was to not be pressured to buy. Every property I inquired about I was pressured on. Even was pushed to pay the sellers closing fees that I thought was absolutely crazy. I finally made an official complaint. Regina forced herself in the phone meeting I had. Dar said she would handle my purchase to ensure it went better. She didnt. She still had Regina close it all and do the walk through. Also I told my lender I wasnt having a great experience with Dar Walden. I left it simple like that. Within an hour Dar Walden called me up furious I said something negative about my experience. It was extremely unprofessional. I ended up buying my home and giving them the sale but to this day 2 1/2 years later I regret it and hated my experience. I didnt want to be "That Guy" that left a bad review and to this day years later I finally am. Go anywhere else and do not trust the high reviews thay have. MY REPLY 1-4-24 after they replied to my review. Im not surprised you are making false statements about what happened. Especially me becoming furious. I 100% kept my calm when Dar called me. Anyone reading this review this is exactly the treatment you can expect like im again getting now for speaking truthfully about my experience. 2-22-24 I decided to check back to see if they changed their reply. They 100% changed the reply. I knew they would because it was outrageous and looking it at proved my case. It was full of anger and very unprofessional depicting my review as accurate. Good luck in buying a house but I sincerely hope you dont go with this company.

Fantastic experience: Lea Godfrey exhibits excellent communication and a high level of attentiveness to her clients. Despite not having the privilege of purchasing a home with Lea Godfrey, her stellar reputation in real estate precedes her, characterized by a 24/7 responsiveness. Whenever we reached out to her to view a house, she promptly had us inside either on the same day or the very next day. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone in search of a home in the Anchorage or Mat-Su areas.

Fantastic experience: Communication, communication, communication! Dar and her Team were a pleasure to work with. From the day we first started the sales process and all the way through the closing, the communication was phenomenal. Dar pulled no punches and told us exactly what'd it take to sell our home. Negative experience: I attended an Open House that buyer's agent Sasha Walden hosted. She was not prepared with a standard property disclosure or answers to our reasonable questions. The only information sheet available was very brief, not very descriptive, and did not include the list price. Other people who attended the Open House at the same time had same or similar questions to mine and we engaged in conversation. I listened to the questions of others, but did to participate in their assessment of the age and condition of the roof; the chimney looks like grout must be reapplied. After spending somewhat less than one hour in the home, I told her I wanted to make a purchase offer. She asked me how much I would offer and I told her. She said my cash offer was too low and declined to formalize the offer or present it to the seller. She instructed me to contact her in a few days if I was still interested. I responded to her that she should contact me when she would allow me to make an offer that she would present to the seller. It was completely inappropriate for her to decide for the seller that my offer was insufficient. It's been three days and I have not heard from anybody at Keller Williams or the Dar Walden Group. It appears Sasha is interested in writing full-price offers only. Apparently, lower offers that accurately reflect the actual condition of the property (below full price) are not worth her time and/or effort.
