Negative experience: Skyler apartments in Irving Texas, we’ve been given two moving dates, me and my husband been living here and there waiting to move in.. motel after motel and they don’t care… They told us apartment was ready to move in, NASTY apartment, holes in the walls, didn’t even bother to fix just painted right over them, roaches in the kitchen, main door doesn’t even look safe, back door looks like it’s rotting from the bottom.. Apartment is just EMBARRASSING…, I used to live here years ago and they had maintenance on top of everything, professional office staff… NOW IT JUST SEEMS LIKE NO ONE CARES…. Just care about getting paid and being there, this is EMBARRASSING EMBARRASSING EMBARRASSING…!!!!!!!!!!!! So spoke to these people and they say this is minor repairs, I’m am not used to living like this, cockroaches,holes everywhere, baseboards all loose, a whole bunch of stuff to fix, BUT ITS READY TO MOVE IN…!!!!!! These PEOPLE JUST TOOK MY MONEY, THEY JUST SAID THEY ARE NOT GIVING OUR MONEY BACK…!!!! WOW, and these Property says it CARES FOR THEIR TENANTS….

Negative experience: "Warning to anyone with a vehicle: this complex has an extremely aggressive towing policy. My truck has been towed twice in just six months. The first time was due to a simple clerical error (transposing two numbers on my registration form), and the second was for being slightly over the parking line. There is zero leniency for residents here, and it has turned into a very expensive and stressful place to live."
Negative experience: Actualización de mi vivencia después de 7 meses han desmejorado muchoooo , desde que cambió la administración este año ya no se ve muy limpio y conservado las zonas verdes , las basuras la cobran pero no la recogen en tu puerta ( nunca me ha recogido la basura ) y lo peor es que te cobran los cargos sin hacer nada ;como basura 35 mensual y no te la botan , te cobran control de plagas y está lleno de muchas CUCARACHAS. Terrible no veo la hora de salir de aqui , que culmine el contrato .

Negative experience: The main reason I renewed my lease is for the pool and the amenities, but this is the second year they closed the pool too early in June so this is my last year living here, and every time I called about it, they always gave me different “excuses.” Plus, the “Gym” doesn’t work, and the machines are broken. What’s the point in charging people for “nice” apartments when we can’t even enjoy the amenities? Plus, it is infested with roaches. After 1 year, I was finally able to get rid of them by taking action on the matter myself; otherwise, the “pest control” from Skyler would not get rid of it, and you will find roaches outside too. So think about it twice if this is the place where you want to live.

Fantastic experience: My experience has been great. The office staff and manger have been very kind and helpful from the start of my moving process. The apartment complex is clean and taken care of. It's an older complex which the apartments inside aren't new but they are still very nice and spacious. It's peaceful here and I have been here 2 weeks and I have 0 complaints.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience at Skyler's apartments due to the dishonest actions of the front desk clerk. My DoorDash order was delivered and the driver was incredibly helpful, even sending a photo and speaking with me on the phone to confirm the location (my slight error in apartment number was the only issue). Despite this, the clerk, a short woman with short,dark blond dyed hair with significant root regrowth, stole my order and was rude and dismissive when I inquired about it. She immediately tried to shift the blame to the driver, which is clearly untrue. This incident reflects extremely poorly on the management and staff, leaving a terrible impression and undoubtedly damaging the image of this apartment complex. The apartment complex needs to address the dishonesty of their staff immediately.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been staying on property almost a year & I’ve had nothing but excellent professional customer service from Management/office staff & awesome maintenance guys, they are always working so hard to keep the property clean & their tenants satisfied & happy by completing all work orders on time. Negative experience: Do not even consider giving them your information. We were intrigued by this property due to the “specials” they had. However, that price goes up very quickly when you are required to add their unnecessary package. We applied and NEVER signed a lease, yet we are being charged $200 for an administrative fee that was only supposed be $75. We are also being charged to move out when we NEVER SIGNED A LEASE !!! All because we did not want to move there. They never showed us a unit, just the model unit they have and for $1400+ that is not worth it. Please be careful and do not apply here, they will try to charge you for anything. When we tried to communicate with the assistant manager she said that we were not supposed to apply with the leasing agent. If that were the case then why are there not managers at the office. Be very careful !! We have to dispute this unnecessary charge and we were threatened that it will be taken into collections. The picture is the price we were given and the charge is absolutely insane, and they gave this information to us with no lease signed. Be careful and take this as a sign !

Negative experience: Por favor ,no se dejen impresionar por las ofertas que hacen algunos complejos de apartamentos como este,todo parece al principio muy bueno y con el paso de los meses hasta le van subiendo el precio ,totalmente superior al del contrato,y cuando le pides una explicación te buscan excusas que ni modo de poder encontrarle la lógica,pero al final tienes que pagarles sino quieres ser el perjudicado a la larga.Para que hablar de las cucarachas,al principio reporte la plaga que tienen y fueron en algunas ocasiones el control de plagas ,ya para que decirles ni me toman en cuenta y cada vez está más infectado el lugar ,no veo el momento de que llegue el mes de finalización del contrato para irme de este lugar ,todos los vecinos se han hido por los mismo motivos,actualmente está más poblado de cucarachas el lugar que de personas,así porfavor piensenlo muy bien antes de venir a este lugar ,lo peor. El personal de trabajo no creo que sea responsable por esto ,los dueños deberían dar la cara y tener más consideración con sus inquilinos .

Negative experience: My God if I could give 0 stars I would. I couldn’t even last a full month living in these filthy apartments! The apartment wasn’t move in ready and the apt is roach infested! I seen a dead roach every week!!!! Then the upstairs neighbors are very inconsiderate and just nasty! They were either letting their dog pee on their patio or dumping their pee on my patio , mind you the washer and dyer are outside on the patio. They would also allow their kids to stomp and run around all night way past quiet hours. Had to call the police on them multiple times . But apparently their toilet was backed up cause when I went in the rent office to tell them I almost got urinated on, here come a phone call the next day letting me know “someone is having plumbing issues” mind you I have a ring camera and cameras in my apartment. They have this feces covered vacuum running throughout my apartment coming through my front door to my toilet with the door WIDE OPEN (and I’m on the first floor) I immediately come home only to see feces and urine flooding my bathtub because the nasty neighbors upstairs toilet was broken and they failed to make a maintenance request until it got so bad to the point where I had feces and urine flooding my kitchen sink the day after that. I had to throw my dishes away ! Then they have water damage in the living room, bedroom and closet ceiling. You can see like brown patches and there was mold on my window! I told them about it and I caught them on camera simply painting over it!!!!?! YOU DO NOT PAINT OVER BLACK MOLD!!!!!!! On top of that I kept getting bit in my own bed by something! Idk if it’s fleas or what, but that apartment is INFESTED! I couldn’t get away fast enough. Do not move in here!!!! Find somewhere else to live!

Fantastic experience: The skyler apartments is now under a new company called the Tipton group and a whole new staff. Cynthia and the staff here are absolutely amazing! You can see the difference that they bring to the complex. They are pushing to change things for the better. They are friendly, understanding, and compassionate! Negative experience: Skyler apartment has really come down hill. I moved in Dec 2021 and left January 2024. First year was great, no problems. Last year was the worst, trash all over the place mostly beer bottles, loud music and dog poop everywhere because no one picked up after there dogs. Every time I walk out my balcony that’s all I could smell. every month I paid for trash valet someday’s it would sit at my door because no one would pick it up. Why am I paying for a service that not being done. Also pest control was a service I paid for every month, in the two year I lived there pest only came out twice and that because I call to get them there. I would think they would come at least every three months. Now that I have moved out over a month ago, I have called the office several times in the past two weeks because I have not received my security deposit back even though I have a final statement stating that I was supposed to receive one and gave them my new address all they tell me they have to get a hold of the past management because they are a new management. Never have got a call back with a response or anything. I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone, you can definitely find somewhere better to live for the same price.

Negative experience: I am writing to share my recent experience at your leasing office, which unfortunately left me with a negative impression.Today, my wife and I visited the leasing office around 2:00 pm to discuss new leasing options. However, our visit turned out to be less than satisfactory. During our 20-minute stay, we observed an unprofessional behavior at the front desk.While we were seated and ready to discuss leasing matters, I couldn't help but notice the front desk attendant engaging in casual conversation with a middle-aged man. What was concerning was that this conversation seemed to be more focused on jokes, and the girl at the front desk was loudly laughing.This continued for an extended period, and it created an environment that lacked professionalism. As a result, my wife and I chose to leave the office without addressing our leasing needs. It was disappointing to see a lack of attention to customers and a disregard for the value of their time. I hope you take this feedback constructively, as it reflects on the overall service and professionalism of your leasing office. I believe that customers should feel respected and attended to when seeking assistance.

Negative experience: This apartment complex is trash. Do not pay for covered parking just park there . They do not enforce towing from covered parking. I pay $35 a month and there is aways someone in my spot. Why should I continue to pay for covered parking when residents are parking there for free. I call VVR the towing company all my calls went to voice mail The parking lot is aways trashy, and there is aways loud music. I recommend not to move in this apartment

Negative experience: I want to speak to the owner ASAP there was an incident this weekend. I want to make sure this incident wasn’t about race because that is the way I’m taking it. Even when I called she never offered any explanation this incident was unprofessional and not a good look for your potential renters. My money is green and I can spend it elsewhere How dare they do this to me. I scheduled a virtual tour responded to a text a day earlier confirming got here on time tried to open office door it was locked so I waited for about 10 mins I just thought they were on lunch or didn’t open yet then I leaned into the glass and saw 2 ladies just standing there they saw me the whole time but I didn’t notice them so I knocked and only then she came and stood never said anything so I said I’m here for tour she said go around to the side pool entrance I did no one ever came they left me standing out there a mailman/lady heard me fussing about them not responding to me. I called office asked her why they do this to me she had no explanation and when I said if I was hispanic you would have opened the door she hung up on me. I have been looking at apts throughout the years of my life and this is the first awful experience I have ever encountered. Im angry and want answers

We appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention, and we assure you that the incident was not motivated by racial discrimination. The situation you encountered was due to an unfortunate coincidence of events. On that Saturday, our team member, Isabel, was assisting new residents with their move-in process. Meanwhile, another team member, Virginia, was conducting a tour with a prospective resident, which required her to temporarily lock the front office door for security reasons.
Upon returning, they discovered that the front door lock was jammed. Despite their best efforts, Isabel and Virginia were unable to immediately resolve the issue. They placed a sign on the door directing visitors to use the back door and attempted to communicate this to you when you knocked. We understand that this situation, combined with the miscommunication, led to a significant misunderstanding.
When you called the office, Isabel attempted to explain the situation and invite you to enter through the side door for your scheduled tour. We regret that this explanation did not come across clearly and understand how this contributed to your dissatisfaction.
We value your feedback and would like to make things right. Negative experience: The management is not really helpful. We complained about the Valet trash pickup which is not done ever since I leased in. But they are charging me $35/ month which is insane for now it's been like 10 months. I recently came to know that it's (valet trash monthly payment) not mandatory for everyone, instead they are picking the units and charging accordingly. Now, I don't know who to complain about it. I really want my refund back coz it doesn't make any sense where I am throwing away my trash everytime and paying them @CAF management.

Negative experience: Si quieres que en futuro te salga mal crédito múdate a este lugar, no te lo recomiendo alejate de este lugar hacen todo lo posible por sacar tu dinero,ellos hacen asta lo imposible por cobrarte, asta por un papel que miran en el piso, cuándo te sales y a los meses aparece miles de dólares qué les debes esta gente es lo peor que horror.

Negative experience: Pésimo el trato hacia los inquilinos , buscan por todos los medios quedarse con el depósito de seguridad , se llevan los carros del estacionamiento y tienes que pagar cerca de300$ para que te dejen recuperarlo ,al principio todo bien pero con tiempo comenzaron a mostrar quiénes eran realmente , todos los meses varía el precio acordado en el contrato y te cobran el agua de 3 o 4 casas si no te das cuenta y revisas la factura lo pagas y no te das por enterado . Hay mejores lugares para vivir y sin tanta preocupación . Mi recomendación no vivan aquí.

Con respecto a tu depósito de seguridad, es importante aclarar que debido a que no se nos proporcionó un aviso previo de tu salida, se aplicó la tarifa de "reletting". Adicionalmente, se dedujeron del depósito las facturas finales de agua y electricidad adeudadas. Esto, desafortunadamente, llevó a que no se pudiera devolver ninguna parte de tu depósito.

Negative experience: This apartment complex is one of the worst places to live in. Here are a few reasons: they do not give good maintenance, the units are full of roaches and they charge you $9.00 for pest control. And don't do anything to take care of that matter, they just want you to sing a contract and you'll be on your own. They have very poor customer service. They don't even deserve one star. And your vehicle will be tow away at least twice. I made a maintenance request two months ago still waiting for them to take care of that

Negative experience: STAY AWAY!!! My mother moved here two months ago and needless to say its been one issue after another. Let's begin with the fact they moved her into a unit that was not cleaned and we had to clean it ourselves. Then we cant use the oven because it smokes and shakes as if it will blow up, the ac hasn't worked since day one and now there is a leak in her bathroom ceiling. Needless to say this community has not been responsive to any of the requests, they close out work orders without completing them and its nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone! I wish she did a little more research before settling with this place because its been an absolute nightmare! ***************************************************************** It's now 7/31 and I went by last night and its still hot. 90 degrees in the home is not okay! They brought a stand up ac unit that only cools a portion of the bedroom off, company cant come by and you cant go into the kitchen or living room for long periods of time because of the extreme heat. Maintenance said this would be fixed 3 weeks ago and we are going into another month without the situation being resolved. No one has called, come by or checked on her. If the issue isn't repaired immediately we will have to look into other remedies. *************************************************************** Update: 8/1 The air is fixed and working. Antonio spent all night working on it (bless his heart). We were able to speak and he shared how his shop supplies were stolen which delayed the process. I'm glad he was professional, and refused to leave until the job was done. Thank you Antonio for making sure the apartment was cooling before you wrapped up for the night. Thank you Skylar for taking this matter seriously and providing a reasonable solution. Now, hopefully mom can completely move in and enjoy her new home.

Negative experience: I was excited to move in after meeting the office staff. I arrived after 3pm to pick up my keys and was asked to wait before going into my unit as they were finishing up. I was fine with that as I was still waiting on movers to deliver my stuff. I moved in around 5pm. Upon entry I noticed the the carpet is soaked which became dirty after moving in. After moving in I began to notice the unit was not "ready" the appliances (stove and dishwasher) move when I touched them, the dishwasher fell out the wall when I opened it. The patio door has a crack/hole at the baseboard so I have been killing bugs since I moved in. The bathroom toilet also moves and rocks. I have never heard of moving into a new apartment with old appliances that are not secure in their space. Negative experience: I’ve lived in this complex for four years (moved in when it was Estrada Oaks). Ever since the new owners took over, everything has gone downhill and become guetto. All they care about is taking your money! We’ve had no AC for four days, and seems like we are bothering them when we ask them to come fix it! The office crew is no help at all, the manager is never available, and maintenance can care less. They came twice lying that they had fixed it, yet it just keeps getting hotter inside our home, and Texas summer is just starting. BYE!

Negative experience: I wouldn’t recommend moving here. We have lived here since December 2022 and weve had more bad experiences than good. To start off we were allowed to apply for an apartment that already been occupied for 2 years so, when our move in date came along we were offered other apartments that were available but were $200 or more than what we originally hoped for. After moving in and inspecting our apt we realized an outlet didnt work, we notified maintenance we were told electrician would be here and nothing. Till today it has not been fixed. Also our washer only worked for one month and has not been fixed, ive made several “work orders” but they get marked as completed or closed. Not to mention we had to go to the office for 4 days just to get a kitchen light replaced. Too many issues and nothing gets fixed to be paying up to 1,700 for a one bedroom with a broken washer.

Negative experience: Bad customer service. They never answer your phone calls, I left them a voicemail still no response. I went in person the sign says 9am-6pm but it was closed not sign stating they were out of the office. Overall I wouldn't even give them a 1 star. A completely wasted of time.

Negative experience: Hola,vivo aca desde hace 5 meses,pago el servizio de lavadora y secadora,de lo cual he usado la lavadora solo la primera semana(1 vez) despues no funzionò mas,despues de meses de quejarme hace semanas me la cambiaron,se o sea quitaron la vieja,se tardaron dias por traer la nueva,despues dias por colegarla,y ahora que finalmente creia habian resuelto el problema,ahora no esta colegada el agua! Ovviamente todavia voy a la oficina,però nada,mantenimento es pesimo,ya no se como hacer,estoy muy triste con skyler,quiesiera solo lavar mi ropa en casa.

Negative experience: Skyler Review: I was a resident at this apartment complex for 4 years (when it was originally Estrada Oaks). Most of my time was pleasant, the apartment was beautiful, and I required very little maintenance. However, my last few months were absolutely awful. The apartment complex once again changed management, and it became very clear this new management was racist. It all started with them neglecting to send me my lease renewal so I was under the impression my lease wasn’t up as my rent did not increase. When I stopped by the office and asked when my lease would be renewed, they gave me some manufactured total which would have increased my rent to $1500 for a 1 bedroom apartment with NO washer/dryer hookups. The office assistant and manager were completely unhelpful and lacked empathy. They were rude and borderline racist. Even after I tried to move to another unit, they refused to offer the price listed on the website. It became very clear that they did not want me there any longer. Even after I gave my 60-day notice, the staff repeatedly tried to embarrass me by leaving eviction notices on my door despite me NEVER missing or even being late on my rent for 4 years. I had the best neighbors while I was here, and the community is lovely, but the new management is racist and apathetic towards their tenants.
Negative experience: Since I’ve leased here the hot water wasn’t working, ceiling started leaking from upstairs, tub valve came unloose & was half fasted the first time so I had to put in another maintenance request, washer stopped working they still haven’t gotten to it, there’s really only one maintenance person that knows what he’s doing so it’ll be two weeks or so before they even update you or get to you that is if you don’t constantly go up to the office. Nothing in the office works if you needed some information or to reach them like the office phones & printers. They’re not in a rush to get anything fixed or to help you get things done containing to you trying to move once your lease is up. Walls are weak & then I can literally hear everything. If anything happens to your car on their property they won’t even attempt to resolve it just a “there’s nothing we can do” or “natural causes”. Office is almost empty everytime & they still don’t bother to help, constantly having to take time out my day to see if they are gonna tend to the issues that’s going on. Always excuses & since I’ve been here there had been at least 6 different faces in & out the office management wise. Definitely not worth the hassle or money

Negative experience: Very bad service, if you try to communicate to the office, they’ll never reach out, even if you leave a voice mail, they never return the call, I always had to go in person and get out of my job just to go and talk to the staff, the office and maintenance have zero communication, my problem was with the air conditioner then they put a window air conditioner only in the bedroom for a week without notifying me when my contract says central air, and I still am waiting for them to come and fix it. Very bad service.

Negative experience: Please don't get an apartment here. Our pipes busted before Christmas and our washer and dryer don't even work and they still haven't fixed a single thing and we are still being charged for them . Our walls have mold growing in them because water got into our room and closet when the pipes busted. Yet they refuse to fix anything and say it doesn't smell when clearly it stinks. Just honestly terrible overall and really don't recommend you to waste your money and time on this place.

Negative experience: Good apartments if you don't mind air conditioning not keeping up and maintenance that doesn't answer until you go to the office in person a million times. Oh and if you want to talk to the office without going in person good luck :) The apartments are clean and the pool is nice but if something breaks don't count on them fixing it without a fuss. I am not normally a karen but this place has left me no choice considering I have an infant in an apartment with 80 degree a/c.

Negative experience: I would give NEGATIVE stars if I could! First impression of Skyler apartments was happy face and sign contract. We paid a non refundable deposit based on my credit. I had Good credit, I was still charged the Full amount! The management personal puts a lot of Papers and letters outside your door, Ridiculous Fees out of nowhere. Apartment had so many cockroaches from the beginning. Small Cockroach used to go in the microwave, microwave stopped working, maintenance blamed it on us! Office wanted to charge us for a new microwave! When reporting the cockroach infestation in our apartment. Exterminator was called, just sprayed the outskirts, not a throughly job was done. Got my muffler STOLEN from my Toyota Tundra Truck overnight. Not much was done by the office to cooperate. They tried stealing equipment from neighbors car ended crashing into the side of my building. It was NOT fixed by the office for a while. The manager and personal DON’T get things done or DON’T CARE much about their residents, they just care about charging & making their residents pay FEES that don’t make any sense! I saw a lot of residents come and go. Moved out, getting called by Debt collector that I need to pay a large amount from Skyler Apartments (used appliances, cleaning of carpet, etc) or it will go on my Credit. I paid for a Non-Refundable Fee in the beginning!!! I don’t have that kind of money so have to come up with it somehow. DON’T RENT HERE. Would rent elsewhere if I were you.

Fantastic experience: I am so glad i applied here, Ady and Veronica made getting an apartment super easy for my family and I. I can’t wait to move in next month!
Negative experience: I was hoping to be a future resident here, but upon entry the front office lady was rude and customer service was very poor. As I entered, we made eye contact, so I assumed she saw me enter the office. She was with another, as I waited for my turn, she is now finished with that customer, and just leaves me to wait...and wait....and wait....and wait...and wait! So I left! How do you acknowledge me, but not ask if I need anything?!?
Negative experience: We have long time to telling the office manager Veronica and the corporation building that they need to fix the backyard because all the time that is raining the water come into the bedroom and they don't do anything to fix the problem. Now the walls are wet and the mold come out from the walls, the room smells bad and the furniture and some clothes are with mold and THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR THAT. Tenemos tiempo diciendole a la manager Veronica que arreglen la parte de atras del apartamenro porque cada que llueve se mete el agua al dormitorio y no hacen nada ni ellos no la corporacion para arregarlo y ahora las paredes del dormitorio estan humedas y con mold y el dormitorio huele a humedad y mis muebles y alguna ropa estan con mold.
Fantastic experience: Ady was so helpful and caring in the process of getting my first apartment. She was very patient with me while I was asking like a thousand questions other than that I highly recommend this place.
Negative experience: They not honor virtual tours. Will like lie they did Will send a link but never do. This is poor communication.
Fantastic experience: I was recommended from a friend that lives here that love how professional the staff is never had any issues while living here so I called in today I was speaking with Veronica she was very friendly and very helpful and gave me all the information I needed so I can get a apartment unit here, it's always good to know people are still very helpful during this time thank you and can't wait to move here!!!

Fantastic experience: The moment I walked in, I was given a friendly and warm welcome. I had asked to take a look at the apartments and to get a quote on prices. I really enjoy that I was given attention too and was answered to all of my open question that I had!!! I am more than happy to say that I will be moving in as soon as they have the fully renovated unit!!!!!

Negative experience: If the lady Stacey still works there, run. She's awful. She was the manager when i was there and so glad i went to corporate to get her all the way together. If you have any issues with a manager named Stacey, please don't hesitate to take it to corporate. They took care of her.
Positive experience: I have lived here for almost a year now. I gotta say I really like this apartment, anyone who comes visiting always compliments the outlook of the apartments because it's really lovely. In comparison to my last apartment ( which shall not be named but it name starts with a "W" ), this apartment is like a fresh entry into heaven, it's like going from hell to heaven. The neighbors are surprisingly quiet too unlike the NEXT DOOR APARTMENT that have no regard whether people are sleeping or awake.
Fantastic experience: I'm very pleased that they were able to help me right away. I was staying at an Airbnb in the area and I needed a place. They were so quick with the process and was able to get me in right away after the completed paper work. Thank you!
Fantastic experience: My wife and i we're relocating to irving may of next year.and was looking for apartments.so far these got the best reviews.so i think these are the apartments for us.its alittle scary as it is moving to a different state as it is.but finding the right place to call home make it better.so we're leaving wisconsin to make irving texas our new home.
Fantastic experience: I have to comment on the management here, amazing is an understatement!! I couldn’t be more blessed to meet people like them. The apartments are amazing but management by far makes this place a home! They are so kind and friendly, they really want to make everyone comfortable and happy. I can’t wait to move here.
