Negative experience: I hardly ever write negative reviews, but I have to put this out there. I was an owner with Tenant Planet and have to warn others about Ana Gomez. She is one of the most incompetent persons I have ever worked with. I am sorry to say that. Beware. Everyone else at Tenant Planet was ok. Do not have Ana Gomez list your home or perform property inspections. She marked water intrusion/damage in a bathroom as “chipped paint” during a move out inspection at which I wasn’t in state. By the time I was able to view the property in person, it was too late to claim any damages from the deposit. She also listed my property way above market causing it to sit empty for several months when I first started working with Tenant Planet. My property had to be turned over to another agent for listing. Worst experience working with Ana Gomez.

Fantastic experience: Maham Usama and Lucas Junkin, and all other folks from Tenant planet always try their best to solve the problems with me and communicate patiently between me and my tenant.

Positive experience: I was out of the country when the garage door needed work. Umar got 2 estimates from a vendor and arranged for the repair upon my approval and contribution. Although a second vendor estimate would have been helpful, a quick, thorough & guaranteed repair was needed for safety and easy accessibility.

Fantastic experience: Umer Farooq, thank you for being timely on responding to emails and following up. Tenant Planet is doing a lot better job on this lately and I am happy.

Negative experience: Our experience with Tenant Planet was, without question, the worst renting experience we've ever had. From the very beginning, communication was inconsistent and often misleading. We were given incorrect information multiple times regarding our lease, payments, and move-out process. At one point, we were told conflicting things about whether last month's rent had been prepaid--something that should be very straightforward for any competent property manager. Maintenance was another major issue. Requests were either ignored or took an unreasonable amount of time to resolve. We went over 3 months without a working laundry unit, waited weeks for basic fixes like a dishwasher, and even dealt with delays just to get a laundry key from the HOA with little to no assistance from tenant planet. More concerning, there were serious habitability issues--including mold and multiple instances without hot water--that were never properly addressed in a timebound manner. Upon moving in, the unit was covered in mold (our lease said the owners would not be held responsible for mold). Upon moving out, they charged us hundreds of dollars for the mold- so they aren't liable for the mold but we are?? The move-out process is where things became blatantly unacceptable. Menahil and Anthony managed our moveout process and it was a complete mess. It took them weeks to even acknowledge we were moving out, then Anthony showed up on the wrong date for our move our inspection without any type of notice our apology. During our walkthrough, we were explicitly told that any charges would be minimal (roughly $300-$500) and that the unit was left in good condition. Based on that, we paid for a professional cleaning service as instructed. Despite this, we were later hit with nearly double that amount in vague and inflated charges for cleaning, paint, and minor repairs--completely contradicting what was communicated in person. Then came the handling of our security deposit. Under California law, it must be returned within 21 days. Not only was it sent late, but we were met with contradictory statements, deflection, and denial even when we provided proof of the actual deposit date. At one point, they claimed the deposit wasn't late despite clear evidence showing otherwise. Communication deteriorated into delayed responses and repeated avoidance of direct questions. What stands out most is the complete lack of accountability. Instead of addressing concerns transparently, we were met with excuses, shifting narratives, and a refusal to acknowledge clear discrepancies. If you are considering renting through this company, proceed with extreme caution. Document everything, take photos of the property at every stage, and do not rely on verbal assurances--they will not be honored. This company consistently demonstrated poor communication, questionable practices, and a disregard for tenant rights. Our unit specifically was 16911 Bluewater Ln. Huntington Beach, CA 92649. Menahil, Anthony, tenant planet and the owners of this unit you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Positive experience: Anzar was the POC on the Property Management side on multiple issues/workorders I've submitted. He was very professional and communicative throughout. He manages very well the scheduling and collaboration between I as tenant, vendor, and property owner. It was a pleasure working with him and really appreciate the work he has done to hp resolved those issues.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a great experience with Linda helping me with an incident. She was very helpful, kept me updated throughout, and responded promptly. She assigned reliable vendors and demonstrated excellent communication skills.

Fantastic experience: Anzar is the best. Constant communication, doing what he can on his end to try to resolve the issues. While there's a lot of steps to go through when it comes to issues, big or small, in home care, Anzar consistently exceeded expectations as a tenant. I appreciate the work he did, and continues to do!

Negative experience: Look elsewhere, I promise the low cost is not worth it when communication is so bad. My husband and I ended up paying a lot more in repairs because the company would just send people, sometimes more than one company to "fix something" without my consent and things would break again and they wouldn't ask about warranties, they inspections were a joke... It was a huge headache for us.

Fantastic experience: All the girls in the office are very helpful, I was helped by Lanell and she is very nice and friendly, really makes you feel comfortable while doing all the paper work, you can ask her any doubts you may have and she answers all of them. Very satisfied with her. Maintenance is also very helpful, I had the pleasure to get help from Anzar to change the flooring in my unit and he was very helpful to make the work order very easy and fast, checked in at all times to make sure everything was going smooth, also replied to text very fast.

Negative experience: Please do not use this company whatsoever. I’ve had nothing but horrible experience with them. They lack in communication they use one email to get through to every department as well as 1 call center which no one is physically at the office and they don’t have VM they can only take a message so no one can ever call you back. I’ve experienced such horrible service from day one. I’m not the person to leave bad reviews but I feel the right to share this information with future home owners to be aware of this place. I have several email chains and phone records of all my calls and emails to them with such horrible lack of communication and no response. They don’t ever try to call back and when they finally respond and an email they put the explanation and still won’t take the time to give you a call back. They will hold your checks when the receive them until they make the time to take them. This not only looks bad for tenants but also for homeowners. I’ve also spoke to Pedro which he said he was taking over and managing things different and everything is still the same with the lack of communication and no updates. I even texted him personally and he also didn’t respond after I made a complaint. The people who work with this company will never get you through a departments since it’s only one person on site. They aren’t able to physically transfer the call to that department all they do is say they will call you back they will take a message. I’ve sent over 15 email to Rafael who is in accounting and left over 20 message for a call back and have never even spoken to the accounting team. So I just want to advice you to please don’t waste your time with this company. They will only create a mess and will make you look bad as an owner to the tenant. Because any request you make they will not relay the message to the owner. If I can rate this place no stars I would.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Tenant Planet for 3 years now to manage a property in San Francisco, which is a complex place to operate. Tenant Plant has done a great job managing the complexities of tenant management, dealing with SF's rent control challenges (limits to rent increases, interest for tenants on deposits, etc). Recently, we had a major failure of our boiler in that building. Tenant Planet was highly responsive in dealing with the issue - sending out emergency repair teams, then dealing a complex replacement project. They communicated with the tenants, dealt with changes in schedules, and got the work done over the Thanksgiving weekend. They have been a great resource for me, and I would recommend them!

Negative experience: Yes they give a good rate but they dont answer their phones or emails. You have to keep contacting them. The owner doesn't respond to you either and the solutions team is rude and doesnt give you any guidance or updates. The only person thet is helpful is anzaar in maintenance.

Negative experience: Do not recommend they are a rip off. Claims charges that don’t exist

Negative experience: If I could give a negative review I would. We rented a property from them for 2 years. The communication is terrible and that is when you can actually get them to pick up the phone. On top of that when we moved out we were charged for a deep clean and a carpet even though we provided receipts for both. I brought this to their attention again since they also charged us and they tried saying we left the property filthy. They said they had 2 deep cleaning and scheduling a third. This company said we left the house with a strong pet odor, but the only odor left was mold and moisture from the walls. The house is 113 years old. A company employee that I did our move out inspection with said the property looked amazing and for them to turn around and say we left it filthy and nasty is flabbergasting. The individual are so rude and not at all professional. Photos attached are a rude email from a tenant planet employee, mold growth from the home, and the condition of the property when we left.

Negative experience: This company is literally the WORST. We will never be renting from these people ever again. Where do we even begin with how much this company sucks. I understand that the owner of the home we rented made a lot of the decisions that screwed us over, however tenant planet, the management company, did little to no management at all between owner and tenant the whole time. To begin, we started our lease before actually moving in. We picked up keys 14 days after our lease had begun. We had let them know ahead of time we would arrive well after business hours and would need to have keys arranged to be left somewhere. When the day had come we heard no response for hours from our agent about how we were meant to pick up keys. After a 20 hour drive we finally heard back 30 minutes before arriving (after hearing nothing for HOURS not knowing if we would even be able to get keys) with little to no communication. Then when we finally got into the home, there was still furniture, property of the owner, and LITERAL TRASH in the home. It was clear that the home had not been walked through before our lease had begun. We also had a problem with maintenance during our lease. We only submitted 2 requests the whole time. One was handled quickly, but the second took WEEKS to complete. Our kitchen sink faucet was leaking whether water was running or not. Because of this we needed it replaced and the water had to be turned off to stop the leak. We had no water access in our kitchen for almost 3 weeks because it took them that long to replace the faucet. Fast forward to the end of our lease. We had been told for 2 years we would be able to go month to month because we needed to rent 2 more months after our lease end date. On December 2nd, 2024 we were told we would be able to stay an extra month. 17 days later on 12/19/24 we were told we could not extend. Communication was again, little to none. It took multiple calls and emails to hear back from anyone. Now after moving out, it took over a month to receive our security deposit back, and when we did we were shown the charges that had been taken out. So many of the charges we were shown had not come from our fault. After reaching back out to dispute those charges, we are now (a week later) being told that they have nothing to do with the charges because they came from the owner and there’s nothing they can do about them, even though they are the ones that the information and our deposit came from. This “management” company does no management whatsoever between owner and tenant. The owner would have been better off not paying this company and handling things himself. Communication is terrible and they are completely useless when you have questions or concerns of any kind. If I could rate this place negatives, I would. Save yourselves the trouble and don’t rent from these people.

Negative experience: Trash company, unprofessional. Negative star if possible. Never solve your problems. Called to have them send refund, they never listen to you and keeping making mistakes. The person in charge of deposit refund never gets back to me. Messy and unorganized company. It has been over 1 month and still haven't received all refund. Will be submitting claims in court and department of real estate this against company.

Negative experience: Worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. My vehicle was towed on November 2, 2023 due to not being notified that I needed to get new parking permits through a new company. I was given a complete run around on the day mentioned above only to find out that someone from Tenant planet was notified in July to let us know about the permit issue. I have sent multiple emails and I have also gave this company multiple calls only to once again be ignored. This IS NOT the way you treat your tenants. You own up to your mistakes and you make things right. I pay my rent on time and I try every day to do what’s right in the community I live in. I am making a paper trail as we speak with emails and calls. So far I’ve been told I would be getting a call back since November 2 and it is now 12 days later with no luck. I hope this review doesn’t fall on blind eyes.

Fantastic experience: Parker and the entire team at Tenant Planet have been outstanding in keeping my property managed while I have been living out of state. I always feel informed on the current status of my property and whenever I do have the rare question they respond promptly. I cannot imagine using any other property management team and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: If I could leave no stars I would. It is extremely stressful and difficult to have any maintenance issues resolved.

Negative experience: As a property owner with them getting customer service is very difficult no one ever returns my voicemails, the maintenance person charged me for work that was never done. Ring doorbell not installed, first tenant cleaning was not done, the tenant was even offered a refund for the cleaning I was never informed the cleaning wasn’t done so I don’t know what I paid for. If I hadn’t reached out to the tenant directly I still would not have known about this. The agency didn’t offer to send me back the ring doorbell nor give me any update on the installation. There have been small but good interactions like fixing the toilet and sink as far as I know but with speaking to the tenant, there is likely much the manage my company is not telling me. I can only interact with maintenance through a email application and when I call for more efficient communication if I get answer which is rare they send me straight to voicemail. The tenant had a car in his spot for two days and only the owner can request a tow truck, I gladly would have done so, but TP never informed me that the tenant had no place to park for two days! That is absurd. I am definitely not renewing with this company and will be seeking another management company for my property as soon as legally possible.

Negative experience: Team Members are nonchalant, and they take forever to answer. That is if they answer. I submitted an application, but their system had a glitch, so we paid twice. I was told that we will get a refund. Never did. Requested refund 4 times by email. I never heard back from them.

Fantastic experience: Jessica was great to work with and a very pleasant person on top of that. She always called back and responded quickly to messages or requests. She also found us a tenant in just a few days who seems to be just perfect for us. Highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: David is an honest, hardworking individual. He reaolves issues and meets the needs of ypur property, whike keeping in mind your expenses. Michelle is the person that we have had the most contact with. She is very efficient, honest and very knowledgeable. She resolves issues by the end of the day. I have nothing but rhe best to say about this company. We have been working with them for over 5 years and we are very happy with their timely service and their support with our tenants.

Negative experience: Don’t deal with this Management as far as renting. They don’t have good customer service at all! The deposit that you gave them, it takes a month or so and still did not do anything. Their management is very very very slow.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased! Ryan, a member of the Idaho team called me back within minutes of my initial information request on their website. I am a first time landlord and Ryan, as well as the rest of the Tenant Planet team were very good about helping me along, answering my questions, and being patient. Online portal seems simple to use too. I’m looking forward to continuing business with these guys.

Negative experience: No renten con ellos. Para empezar nos entregaron sucia la propiedad (cómo se muestra en las fotos) Hay cucarachas y nunca están al pendiente. Jamás contestan las llamadas y mi contrato se supone que termino este mes y ahora me están cobrando el mes de Marzo cuando yo ya envié muchas veces la notificación de fin de contrato. Les estoy marcando y no me contestan.
