Fantastic experience: My wife and I had a great experience with Truedoor. Their customer service was excellent and they were very friendly and professional. They answered all of our questions clearly and made the whole process easy. We really appreciated how responsive and helpful they were.

Negative experience: Hello all! It is rather unfortunate i have to waste my time writing this but this is the only way it seems. Luis (Property manger) has made living in the apartment that I live in worse than it already was before. Not only do they HARDLY respond to ANY messages. Not only do they wait WEEKS to fix something. Not only does he blame his workers for his mistakes. But he unfortunately is also not man enough to own up to them. Luis violated our lease 3 seperate times by opening our property without it being an actual emergency (California Civil Code §1954). He could have simply avoided any issue if he could have taken the 5 minutes out of his day to properly do his job and contact his tenets, but unfortunately as you see now he obviously did not do so. When confronting luis i had texted him, Emailed, called, all leaving respectful voicemails despite them leaving my garage open for HOURS with all of my tools and my VEHICLE sitting there for the taking. Luis lied and stated they closed the garage when he finally answered my calls (After responding to our neighbors and apologizing to them since he also violated there rights) and wouldn’t even provide a simple I AM SORRY. This all could have been completely avoided if he took the time to actually talk to his workers or have been man enough to at least apologize. If Luis is your property manager / you meet him when moving. DONT WATE YOUR TIME, FIND SOMEWHERE BETTER. Again, unfortunate it had to get to this point but a simple apology would have done plenty.

Negative experience: DO NOT USE THEM! These people enter your home without notice!! They take 6 months to fix something! They don’t communicate to the tenants! They are awful!

Positive experience: Zillow listing was inaccurate and multiple times were informed that for us to schedule a tour we needed to apply and pay $59 per applicant to even get someone to reach out about a listing. Staff was nice but felt like no one communicates with one another. Applied to maybe 3 different listings and wasted money.

Fantastic experience: Since moving to OC I have had a couple bad experiences dealing with management companies and landlords. TrueDoor is by far the complete opposite. It was such a pleasure working with Mary during the approval process. She is so communicative and consistently followed up with me in a timely manner. I am not going into the leasing process with Bryson and he is so professional and quick to address all my questions. So far, it has been a great experience working with TrueDoor.

They usually call out a great team of gardeners to get things done around the place for outdoor and Jose usually comes out to solve anything else. They are quick and affordable.

The property management team, Mary especially, was so helpful in getting everything processed expeditiously.

Negative experience: We’ve had a great experience so far with TrueDoor. The property was clean, and move in ready. Everyone I’ve spoken with has been professional and answered any questions I had. Collette answered my text at 6:30am on our move in day because we had a mix up with the door code. She answered promptly and we were able to gain access with no other issues. Update: Initially TrueDoor was responsive and communicative and we were happy. They were pretty hands off, but would always get back to us when we reached out. That’s until our AC went out in the middle of a heat wave, they sent out a tech who came to check the unit, told us he would talk to truedoor and they would contact us to let us know when they could get it fixed. But then, no response, no communication. After several weeks, several emails and phone calls trying to get ahold of someone to fix our AC, we finally took it upon ourselves to hire someone to fix it. Even after we paid for it ourselves they still were not getting back to us. So we deducted the amount from our next months rent, still no word from anyone at truedoor. Then upon our move out, they charged us a ridiculous amount for minor cleaning, a few item we had forgotten, and some things that were at the property when we moved in. $265 for new keys, $415 just to clean the window sills. I could go on. Charging us a total of $1600 for minor cleaning is ridiculous!I don’t mind paying for wear and tear items that come from everyday use, but to price gouge us after we took great care of the home is unacceptable! I’m highly disappointed at the way Truedoor property management handled these situations!!! I will upload pictures later of how clean we left the house.

Negative experience: We rented a home from True Door for 2 years. It seemed fine until our AC broke, we reported it, never heard from them. For a month in the middle of August dying from heat. We had to pay for the repair ourself and take it out of the rent because no one would get back to us. Then when we moved out, we paid a professional cleaner to clean the house then received a $1,600 bill taken from our deposit for cleaning!!!! They said the house was not cleaned and itemized every tiny detail and charged outrageous prices totaling $1,600 who in the world charges that much for a cleaning?! After we paid $400 for a cleaning company to clean the home. How it looked when we left… look at the pictures. It was clean! Beware when you move out this company is dishonest and gouges you to keep the deposit money!

Positive experience: The process to apply was ready to be easy and fast however, I have not got the key to my garage door for my car and it seems like the property manager does not respond to request for assistance

Positive experience: The worst experience in my entire life is working with your agent Francis Ampudia. She cancelled the house tour without notice and when I called her she was yelling at me saying she is frustrated and not gonna come from Yorba Linda and not even sorry for this situation. That was extremely mean and rude! Wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone if you don’t want to feel and treated as nobody!

Negative experience: I received your email but nothing as to what I need. Last year I was sent my request without any trouble. Therefore I cannot rate any higher until I receive the P&Ls for each property set to this email.

Fantastic experience: They are so easy going, professional. Alex did such a great job presenting my property. It had so many hits the first day, and it was rented right away! I have decided not to continue renting my place for personal reasons, but I have to say TrueDoor has been wonderful to work with. They made my life so much easier as a landlord. Negative experience: They sent a random termite company and maintenance people and gave them my # without letting me know whatsoever. Then they wanted to do an inspection with smoke alarms being the excuse even though I demonstrated the smoke alarms functioning over video. Your rights will most likely be violated with this company. They try to inspect the property when you're at work tol and have conflicts -- not much date management whatsoever. Overall for a property management company they were disorganized. Sorry I feel that way.

Negative experience: After a month in a property as tenant I’m really looking forward to get at the end of the lease contract, the service and inconveniences response is less than poor by true door management side, I have been sending messages and no reply’s had been received “I have been Ignored”. I don’t have Mail coming in, because negligence of True Door Management, not reporting the address of my rented property, to the San Bernardino County USPS Central office . Not installing A mailbox on the curve of the street, and a couple of issues more. Very but Very poor customer service, once you signed the lease contract they get ride of you as a client. Think twice before make any deal with this people.

Fantastic experience: TrueDoor Property Management Company has been our property management for the last 12 years. We had exceptional (5) star service from a few people in particular Jose Gomez , Deanna Jordan and Natalie Quinn. Recently Jose Gomez, the new maintenance manager for TrueDoor has proven to be quite an asset to this management team and a very valuable resource. He gave us extraordinary, prompt, professional and courteous service on a situation that required immediate attention by a more seasoned, knowledgeable person and approach.

Fantastic experience: setting an appointment to view the property was quick and easy. on appointment day i met with Crystal, she is so sweet and i felt the positive vibes right away. i was only interested in viewing 1 of the properties available but she asked if i was open to viewing 2 other properties available since we were already there, so of course i was open to it. i ended up loving one of the other available properties she showed us, so i submitted an application right away. the process was super simple. Crystal was very helpful in answering any questions i had along the way! Once approved, the property manager Alex called to congratulate me & went over everything before sending over the lease agreement. on move in day i met with Alex & she was also so sweet and kind enough to welcome me and review everything with me that i needed to know. both ladies have been so sweet & so attentive to any questions that have arised! it’s been a great move-in experience

Positive experience: My second experience renting an apartment from a different company. Way a bit better than the last one. My move-in could have been better if the communication is there, but I know there are other customers/tenants who is also looking just like me. At least be more attentive to every single one especially the time limit you give them to have a response and not until the last minute. There is always room for improvement, but so far it's been great living here.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate TrueDoor. I had a serious mold problem that required a multitude of service specializations. Jose coordinate all the workmen required to fix the mold and restore the home. He has a very courteous, competent and thoughtful crew that do a great job.

Fantastic experience: Collette and Kim were beyond accommodating with assisting our family to find a new home. They were very responsive and kind. I would highly recommend their services for family and friends!

Negative experience: Completely ripped me off during move out. Kept $2100 deposit. Total scam to make extra money. I emailed them that I'd get the carpets professionally cleaned, and all rooms cleaned by professional maid service. I even took pics & emailed them. Guess what? They still charged me for it. I left a Direct TV tripod in the garage as a favor for the next tenant, since the owner didn't want it drilled into stucco. RPM idiots charged me $395 for "garage waste disposal" ... During my move IN inspection, we noted 2 chipped tiles in kitchen... Guess what? They charged me to replace them when we moved out... Guess what?? After new tenants moved in, I revisited the condo (explained the tile story) and the tiles were still chipped. RPM operates as a slow con job and should be sued. Updated 5/18/24 - Yes, I was a tenant in one of your properties. 112 Corsica in Newport Beach. It was owned by Kristen, who I’m now friends with as we bonded over the horrible experience we both experienced with you and Joon/Yoon and your other colleague Kyle before you switched your business name from RPM to True Door. After reading your 5 start reviews, it’s clear that you paid for some of them, not to mention you have not been in business long enough nor have that many properties you are managing as I’ve seen your portfolio.
