Negative experience: I called introduced myself and asked if the company handled rentals. The person who answered didn't know which is to say the least very surprising, and then began to read me stuff off one of their flyers, which indeed mentioned rentals. However a real estate company with a phone answering service that isn't able to say whether they handle rentals or not, does not seem to indicate much professionalism...

Negative experience: I bought a condo through Santana Properties in 2021 and while it is beautiful, the builders they used (brand new property) cut lots of corners when building and I have been paying for upkeep in almost all aspects since purchasing. For example: the basement flooded, the heaters had to be replaced because they broke, we get drain flies every summer, and water comes down from a light fixture occasionally. Every time we have people come in to do work they are surprised at how low quality the behind-the-scenes hardware and construction is.

Fantastic experience: Hudson and co. helped us buy a house many years ago, and I recall the process to be relatively smooth (for first-time homebuyers like us with far too many questions). Since then, they've been great at keeping connected without feeling pushy. I appreciate their Thanksgiving pie giveaway (Petsi Pies, anyone?), and I always feel comfortable recommending them to anyone I know going through the buying/selling process in the Boston area.

Fantastic experience: If I could give 10 stars to Charlotte, I would. She helped us buy our first home, and has set an EXTREMELY high standard for any future agents we may need to work with (but hopefully we can just use her forever!). She was responsive, thorough, and kind when we asked a million questions. Charlotte explained everything well (sometimes repeatedly when we will still confused) and created a comfortable atmosphere such that we knew we could go with her about any questions with the process - even if the question was "does this go to you, the lender, or the attorney?" I cannot recommend Charlotte and her colleagues at Santana more highly, especially for first-time homebuyers at any price point. She will take care of you and celebrate with you every step of the way.
