Negative experience: I had a very dissatisfied experience. Shelly and Ben reached out to me in regards to a house that my husband and I were interested in. We setup a time to tour the house. 10 am. Shelly asked if I had apre-approval and if not they had a preferred lender that I could work with. I communicated that I had an appointment for a pre-approval and asked if I should cancel it and go with her company’s preferred lender. I was advised to talk with both and go with who fits me. I filled out the application with their suggested lender, but was unable to finish the application. The lender reached out to me and expressed that in order to do a full review that he needed more info(keep in mind again I didn’t finish the application). Well, I ended up going with my original pre-approval. Shelly nor Ben contacted me. So as far as I’m concerned I am still going to view the property at 10 am. I go with my husband and waited 15-20 minutes. I text to see why no one had shown and Shelly proceeds to tell me that their lender couldn’t approve me. She then proceeds to say, ‘They’ meaning the lending company ‘didn’t they call you?’. No. NO ONE CALLED ME. I have only spoken with you (Shelly) about taking a tour at 10 am. Shelly nor Ben contacted me to tell me we won’t be viewing the house due to (insert reason here), the lender didn’t call me to tell me he couldn’t approve me. He emailed me to tell me that he needed more info before he could make a decision. Shelly nor Ben followed up with me. Communication was very poor. I couldn’t tour the house because according to them I didn’t have an approval letter. Well, I have one just not from your preferred lender. The point is follow up and follow through. Very unprofessional.
