However, we were able to find a home that will work for us. When it came to closing, Nick and Alex Skinner were very helpful. Alex kept touch at all times and answered any questions you may have. Negative experience: Last summer we were in the market for a home in the Springfield area. After reading reviews for Graddy RE, we decided to reach out. We were paired with Kari Wyrsch. From the reviews, we expected excellent service. We got just okay service from the start. In fact, before we had looked at any homes, we had looked into switching realtors (to another realtor at Graddy RE) because of issues with incredibly slow communication with Kari but we decided to stick it out in hopes that it would get better. We ended up putting in a contract on a beautiful property, but the thing that sold us the most on this property wasn’t the home, but the gorgeous back yard space. Even Kari couldn’t stop raving about it. The back yard was absolutely amazing. After we put in a contract, Kari almost seemed to be more for the sellers than she was for us. The sellers kept wanting to push the closing date forward and Kari kept pushing us for them (I’m sure it was just for the paycheck). We settled on a half month early closing date but my husband and I were pretty unhappy about it, as we couldn’t move in for that half month due to moving states, not having our old home sold yet and my husbands employer at that time. A few months after we moved in, we received a violation notice from Greene County planning and zoning department stating that the ENITRE outdoor space never had permits in place to be built and that we would now have to obtain these permits and fix any issues that may arise from this even though we never put in the outdoor space to begin with. I notified Kari and she provided me with some documents to try to help but after this she became useless. Anyway, we obtained these required permits and it was found that a few things needed to be removed, some things needed to be added onto the property to make it safe and some things needed to be moved. The first inspector to come actually told us that she knew the septic inspector that did the inspection for us and that she would be having a stern talking to on his end because a portion of the outdoor space is sitting on the septic lines and this should have been noted on the inspection. We ended up requesting quotes from a few businesses but ultimately decided not to go with them due to quotes being close to $9,000. We ended up doing the labor ourselves for the majority of it, as we are unable to afford what we were quoted due to needing to completely replace the HVAC unit a few months prior which costed us $11,000. All that to say that my husband and I are not professionals at all, so now a portion of our back yard is so ugly, unfortunately, but we did get away with it only costing us just under $1,000. Nearly every person we spoke to with the county and with one company we hired to help with a small portion of this issue all advised us to file legal action with the original owners that built the outdoor space and also with our realtor because they say that they have been educating realtors in the Springfield area about making sure the structures of the homes they are selling are in compliance. When I informed Kari of the permit fee we paid at first (before we ever had anybody out to inspect the property), she became short with me and at one point she sent me a text saying she was “really uncomfortable” when I asked her for help but she quickly retracted the text before I could open and respond to it. When I didn’t hear anything back from her, I reached out to her assistant, Claire, to hopefully get some help with this and the last I heard from her was that she would talk to Kari-this was back in mid-December. Since then I have not heard from either of them. My perception is that this company does not care about their clients, just the money they make off of their clients, even if it leaves the buyer in a tough spot. I HIGHLY recommend using a different realty company than Graddy RE.

He led in all aspects of the transaction, quickly got an offer at asking price, and moved us to closing very soon after. He was great with his communication, I never felt any pressure, and always thought he had my best interests at heart. The team backing him up were professional and just as helpful as he was in making this happen. Much appreciation for the work.

Fantastic experience: The Graddy team is incredible! I've had the pleasure of speaking to several of them during my real estate career, but out of the great standouts to me is Alex. She is incredibly knowledgable and is always one of my go-to's whether it's questions about contracts, clarifying how I should be looking at issues and how to solve them, or even just client relations. If you have the opportunity to work alongside Alex as a buyer, vendor, or agent, you should count yourself lucky!

Negative experience: There were some great people through this process. I don’t think we would have closed this deal without Kari. Bo was great as well. However our transaction manager Alex was extremely rude. The seller had left some things here and came to pick them up yesterday and I talked to him for a while. He said she was extremely rude to their realtor even hanging up on Mercedes at one point. At closing she made people feel uncomfortable just staring at her phone and not engaging with anyone. We just sat there and talked to the sellers. . But after I talked to mr. Keatts yesterday (the seller) and how they were treated I was so upset, because these were genuinely great people with good intentions the kind of people you appreciate. So I would not use you guys again because of that. But I really do appreciate both Bo and Kari. You guys are why we are looking out at a view we used to dream about
