Experiencia fantástica: I know there are mixed reviews here about Desert Wide Properties but I want to give my honest review with my experience! The entire staff has been amazing, Bethany, Heather, Tiffany , and Desiree! Bethany and her team helped me and my husband and my children get approved for our dream home for our dream Location perfect to my son’s school, so I never had to switch some schools when I was moving into the community. And they have professionally handled and addressed and fix every situation! I had an emergency water break this morning and they were right on it! I love the team

Experiencia fantástica: I never mind when they’re a maintenance person coming because they are efficient and friendly! A message was sent the day before and he was in there earlier side of the window availability. Quick walking through the house to hood pictures and left out the back yard- the man was non intrusive and easy to work with! Love the maintenance company desert wide properties employ.

Experiencia negativa: The absolute WORST piece of garbage company EVER. I was in a rental property where a 4 foot section of the ceiling fell in exposing BLACK MOLD in the drip pan under the AC unit in the attic. Making the home UNSAFE for human habitation. Past that thr blower motor failed on the AC condenser unit outside and they refused to fix EITHER problem. So I stopped paying rent as the home was not safe for living in at that point, LEGALLY unsafe... and they evicted ME. Again after faling to fix either the AC in the middle of July or clean up thr block molld ALSO in July. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH ANYTHING, NOR RENT FRON THEM IF YOU HAVE JUST HALF OF A BRAIN CELL. You must purge your records every so often as you have "no record"... check in 2011. Why did I take 14 years to post this? Because THIS event started a chain reaction that completely destroyed my life! And i'm only now beginning to rebuild it. The statute of limitations has already expired on this so WHAT would you as a company about it now, Nothing. The time to act properly was in 2011, so... all I can hope is that by sharing ny story, someone can avoid going through the same nightmare that I did.
Christopher. It sounds like you had a terrible experience, but it appears that you have the wrong company. We takes these types of maintenance issues seriously and would work through any such issues as a priority. We have no record of you in our system, nor do we have any such maintenance tickets on file. Please reach out to our broker, manager or maintenance department directly if you believe that you have the correct company so that we can help to resolve any issues.
Experiencia positiva: Since I moved to my apartment they were some issues and I requested for these problems to be taken care of I must say sending someone to take care of it was very fast however nothing has been resolve I am still having the same issues nothing much has been done dryer and water pressure in my kitchen still the same Thank you
Experiencia fantástica: Original review has been edited from a 2 star to a 5 star Bethany Filasky has been the best poperty manager. She has always listened when i have called with questions. If i have left a voicemail she returns calls in a timely manner. Getting on the phone with her is like connecting with a friend that you lost touch with. Diseree (I hope i am spelling that right) is the new Maintenance manager. I believe she has worked hard on getting my past greivances corrected and the issues have all been resolved. I haven't had many enteractions with her as she has moved into this roll, I just know my requests have been handled in a timely manner. I forget the name of the mainence tech we get but he is awesome. Lets you know what he has planned and will let you know when he has completed his tasks. Any mess created is cleaned up before he leaves.

Experiencia fantástica: Purchased a home a few months ago and had Bethany as my realtor. Bethany was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. Bethany listens to your wants, needs, and makes sure she delivers what you ask for. She is very knowledgeable and isn’t afraid to share her thoughts and opinions based on her experience. I would definitely recommend Bethany when looking for a realtor.

Experiencia negativa: I applied to rent a house through this place, who gladly took my app fee and my husband's, only to be denied the rental, rather quickly too. I have never been refused a rental and when we asked why? They gave us nothing, it was crickets. Total scam. This is how they make their money it seems. Taking people's money for applications and deposits. I should have read the reviews on this place before I even considered renting with them. I am so upset. It is December and I really could have used that $200 I wasted on application fees. Beware and do not use them.

Experiencia negativa: **Avoid this property management company at all costs.** I rented from Desert Wide in Tempe for 8 years, and it was hands-down the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. The rent was increased over **50%** after my initial lease — despite **no improvements** being made to the home. They refused to replace **carpets that were over 8 years old**, ignored maintenance requests, and all the **appliances were outdated**. I reported a failing fridge, and they did nothing until it broke completely, destroying **\$400 of food** — which they never reimbursed. When the **A/C failed in the middle of summer**, it took them **over a week** to fix it, with no offer of help or hotel stay. They only replaced the **dangerously malfunctioning stove** and **non-working dishwasher** after years of complaints. It took them **two years** to give me a new **pool key** after the community changed it — an amenity I was still being charged for. Dealing with Laurie was especially unpleasant — **combative, dismissive**, and unprofessional. They also: * **Charged late fees immediately** after the 1st with no grace period (\$100 + \$5/day) * **Shut down my payment portal if rent was late**, forcing me to hand-deliver a money order * **Eliminated Walmart pay option** after I used it once * Charged **unreasonable fees** like \$100 lease renewal, inspection fees, and even gas reimbursements for their inspector They **incorrectly filled out my lease**, causing me to **overpay**, then **edited the ledger to cover it up** when I caught the mistake. When I moved out, they charged me **\$250 for cleaning**, despite the home being professionally cleaned — just because two rooms were missed due to the power being shut off. I finally chose to **buy a house** and pull my son from his school just to escape the stress and exploitation. That’s how bad it was. Desert Wide is **unethical, negligent, and predatory**. If you have any other option — **take it**. Renting from them is not worth the headache or the financial drain.

But, Bethany eased my concerns and made a nerve racking task a delightful experience! With her professionalism and care, Bethany is highly suggested!

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve rented from Desert Wide properties for a year and could not wait to renew my lease. Bethany is an absolute rockstar and has been the biggest help through this entire process. Laurie is efficient and quick to address any maintenance problems I have. If I call in the morning about a problem, by the end of the day, I’m getting notifications that they have called the vendor and to schedule a time for my repair to be handled. I’ve had absolutely nothing but the best experience renting with them and I hope to stay in this house for many years to come.

Experiencia negativa: Our family rented from this nightmare, unethical, thieving, unprofessional group years ago. It was so bad, I will never forget. They used the cheapest contractors. Told em to glue a part back together on a washing machine on the second floor. It came undone, leaked water through the floor which is the ceiling of the kitchen below. Never fixed that. They tried to blame the Canadian homeowner for all the issues we went through. Saying they didn't want to pay for anything. Attempted to say my lease payment was late because they wanted me to pay for an arcadia door handle that failed. Blaming me when their contractor failed to finish the job. Desert Wide didn't cash a rental check for 6 months, hoping it would bounce and they could evict us and sue us for tons of money. The people I had to work with were constantly changing such as the maintenance manager, our property manager and they were always the rudest, uncooperative, down right meanest people on the planet. I pray that no one ever falls victim to this company. I highly recommend you look elsewhere. From the start things like receiving the key with no mailbox key, all the maintenance issues, to finally leaving was an absolute nightmare. I had to make sure I "paid to have the carpets cleaned with a receipt" and took photos and videos to ensure I would be able to receive my deposit. Then they lied to the next rental company we found a home to live in about our payment history. Believe me, if I didn't pay rent on time they would have kicked me and my family out so fast we wouldn't have even had a place to live. I could go on and on about this but I think you get the point. Are they different now? Look at their Yelp reviews too. I'd never use them again.

Experiencia positiva: Lived in one of their houses for 8 yrs. They do the best they can but the owner of the house was a slum lord. The house has black mold and holes in the bathroom bathtub. The master bathroom wall on the south side in-between the shower and toilet is where it's at. Also the shower wall is sticking out some. If you go into the bedroom on the south from the bathroom, the wall and floor stink like mold.
Thank you for your continued patronage and I am sorry for your experience. We appreciate your renting through Desert Wide for 8+ years, and take all maintenance issues seriously. All maintenance requests are logged and recorded in our maintenance portal, and I can find no record of a ticket ever having been reported for holes in the bathtub or mold. We take these types of issues very seriously and ALWAYS dispatch someone promptly to look at and resolve these types of concerns. Our plumber has been to the property since being vacant and can find no evidence of mold.
Experiencia fantástica: The rental property in Sun City is very nice and the property manager is as well. Great location for a short-term rental. The property manager, Bethany Filasky, was very helpful during our move-in and even went to Walmart to pick up some additional essentials for us. Great customer service and my wife and I are very much appreciative.

Experiencia negativa: I do not reccommend this company at all! My mother recently passed away, they are holding her partner to continue to pay and will not let him out of the lease until either the end of the lease or someone rents it. One other note, they will not show the property until it is vacant. I have rented numerous propreties and this has never been the case. The agent Lori, is not helpful or considerate. Please run as far away from this company!
I am sorry for the frustration you experienced, and most importantly, I am sorry for the loss of your mother as I know this is a difficult time. We have been working with your mother's boyfriend and presented a solution for him to break the lease, but as discussed, we are not able to show the property until your mother's personal possessions (including medications) were removed from the property due to liability concerns. We have been doing our best to accommodate and find solutions for your family, during this difficult time. Again, we are sorry for your loss.

Experiencia positiva: Edited from previous review: I was referred to them and found this great home with good rent. During the moving in period they communicated effectively. During move out there was some slight miscommunication during move out. But it was fixed after investigation of concerns. I would HIGHLY recommend taking video/pictures before and after move in and out. Just make sure to have proof of things. I can say mantinance completed jobs quick and efficiently. I can appreciate that they didn't wait weeks to get approvals for things on the house and they communicate on the progess of getting the job done. Whenever I went to the office the ladies at the front were extremely polite and helpful. I can appreciate good customer service.

Experiencia negativa: It's been a while but I did rent from Desert Wide. Here are the high points of my 1st hand experience. 1. While renting I started divorce proceedings. I was fearful for my safety and Desert Wide said under no circumstances would I be allowed to change the lock, even if I gave them the new key. No reason was given other than "policy". Read the last sentence again. Read the 2nd to last sentence again. If "policy" is justification in and of itself then logic dictates they agree with "policy" being a valid excuse at Nuremburg. Also, using plain logic, what that means is from their perspective they'd rather you end up maimed, dead, etc. than to have to put a new key from you in their envelope. This overrides anything and everything else that happened in the 3 years renting with Desert Wide. 2. Less consequentially but equally un-necessarily they required that to get my deposit back I had to provide documentation of an official company cleaning the house, which cost extra money, instead of just judging with common observational skills whether I got the house clean or not. In the end it turned out the carpet was too many years old for that to matter at all anyway, and so the expense was a complete waste for no other reason than Simon Says. Desert Wide didn't even get paid, the cleaners did (assuming they were not in cahoots, since I could pick the company). 3. Also, IIRC it was Desert Wide that had lease terms prohibiting the exercise of constitutional rights. After all this, especially #1, no reply is meaningful unless it's either to send me a check or to at very absolute minimum verbally self-flagellate and renounce your own prior practice / management harder than a Maoist self-criticism session, which must include that all the staff were retrained or that someone was fired. To reply to the reply, which predictably disrespected the above, yes I did rent from DesertWide, thanks for pretending this didn't happen. I made a handful of trips to the office over the years and after moving out dropped my key off at the exact office in Mesa I clicked on here on Google Maps.

I'm sorry the frustration that you are feeling, but our software goes back 8 years, and we show no record of you in our system of every having rented from us. Are you sure you have the correct company? We value all of our tenants (especially in regards to their safety) and be assured that it is not our policy to make any type of statement regarding the changing of the locks. We show no record of any of these issues or of your tenancy. We always do our absolute best to resolve any frustrations or issues any of our tenants might be having and value every client.

Experiencia negativa: UPDATED: I am leaving two stars only as a courtesy for the fantastic help I have received from Bethany in assisting with our lease and the maintenance guy Jake for being phenomenal in his communication and commitment to helping with any issue. However, the lady we have to go through to set up maintenance requests, Laurie, has been nothing but downright rude and uncaring in helping with any maintenance issues. We have had an issue with our AC going out and our plumbing since we have moved in and since then she has moved very slowly with any request we’ve had. Our master bathroom shower has been unusable with a hole in the wall for over the past month. After a prolonged period of not hearing anything back from her - we reached out to Laurie and she stated that she thought it was fixed already without speaking to us to confirm everything was okay. We have had a cockroach issue since moving into our place and she stated she provided a “Courtesy” by getting us a pest service that did no good because since then we still find roaches inside and outside our home. Even now roaches are still in our balcony and front of property and we requested help. I was expressing how stressful this situation is and Laurie told me, “Well, welcome to Arizona.” I have really enjoyed desertwide in every aspect but Laurie seems to dislike any maintenance issue we have and the rudeness and disregard she has shown us is remarkable. OLD REVIEW: Desert Wide was great in helping us get our rental all set up! Bethany was our leasing agent and was awesome in providing us assistance and everything we needed. We had a few issues upon move in and they were quick and efficient in responding to us

Experiencia negativa: Lori is the manger at desert wide property. I have a on going issue with a job. She tells me I have to keep putting new work order, even though the job was not complete. I told her why do I need to keep putting work order when the job isn't complete so she hangs up on me. The customer service is terrible and rude.

They are great with communication and responding to issues in a timely manner and are always pleasant. Honestly I'd recommend them with the major improvements they've made this past year. Experiencia fantástica: I have been renting through desert wide since 2020. They made the move so simple (even in the middle of the pandemic). Application, move in, and everything else has gone so smoothly for the last 2 years. We had some trouble with our air conditioner this summer but I submitted a request for maintenance online at 6 in the morning and maintenance was here working before it started getting hot out. The problem occurred once more within the same week and again they were here within 2 hours and it’s worked fantastic ever since! They’ve been an awesome company to rent through and I couldn’t be more grateful to have found our home when we did. Hoping we’ll be here until we find our forever home.

Experiencia negativa: Used Desert Wide as a property manager for my Chandler home when living out of state. Communication was so bad, and so rude, that my wife and I actually flew from Florida to Arizona just to get our keys back in person. If you're considering using Desert Wide, I would strongly recommend finding another team to manage your property.
Hi Scott. It sounds like you had a horrible experience, but are you sure you have the right company here? We had a meeting this morning immediately after seeing your review, between the lead property manager, the broker and myself (the owner) and none of us are aware of your name, this situation and it does not seem to have ever been brought to any of our attention. When looking deeper into our system, we show no record under this name having ever been an owner for a property that we manage. If you did use DWP as your property manager under a different name or LLC without your name on record, please reach out to us and ask for a manager so that we can better understand your situation and try to resolve any issue you may have experienced.

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing and Instant Emergency Communication & Maintenance!! I have had to use the Desert Wide Emergency line three times during my stay in one of their homes and every time they have answered me immediately, no matter the time of day or week, with a very positive and friendly attitude! I was extremely impressed. Every time they were able to address my concerns, or problems, quickly and efficiently and all while keeping me in the loop with their hired maintenance company. Two of the times I called it was nothing too urgent, but was after hours or on a weekend, however, the third and most recent time I called was very urgent and am proud to share that it was taken care of quickly and stress free!: On a Saturday afternoon (5/14/22) I realized that my Air Conditioner was not blowing any cold air out of the vents even though I could hear it turn on and run like normal. Timing was horrible, as it was during our first heat wave this year and the first day this year to break 100' degrees (102') outside. I realized it was going to be an emergency shortly after I had turned on all my ceiling, and a couple big box fans, and the temperature went from 79' to 80', even though my Air Conditioner was on and set to 75' all day! I ended up calling the Emergency Maintenance line just after 4pm and was immediately answered by Laurie after the first ring!, She immediately paused her Saturday afternoon with her family and gave me her full and undivided attention. She was extremely professional, yet very friendly and positive at the same time. As soon as Laurie heard me say that my A/C wasn't working she said that she would make a call right away and have someone there tomorrow. Sure enough, 15 minutes after I first called her, Laurie called me back letting me know that someone would be out to fix my A/C at 9am the next morning!! The next morning the gentlemen that came to fix my A/C found a giant block of Ice blocking the fan from blowing the Air throughout the vents. Apparently, the top of the line air filter for my allergies that I had purchased ended up working too well and got clogged up by all the dust, preventing air flow into the A/C... so the air wasn't flowing fast enough to prevent ice from forming on the A/C. The friendly Maintenance guy removed the filter and turned the heater on to melt the ice. Within 30 minutes of being there he was able to remove all the ice safely from inside the A/C and get cold air flowing from all my vents! He waited for the temperature inside the house to drop a couple degrees before he called it good, and was out of there by 10am! I was so impressed and grateful with how smooth and fast everything was taken care of! What a great staff! Thank you again Desert Wide!!

Experiencia negativa: Pretty disappointed with this company how it operates:/ applied along with my girlfriend and our new born child with a high 700 credit which I barely established a year ago and have been with my job for well over 3 years and never missed a payment in my life and yet we didn’t get approved nor a call back in regards to helping us out there’s a good reason why this company has a two star review and sure showed us wasting our money on nothing and no response in return or someone to reach out and try to help us with finding something.

Experiencia fantástica: Just before the holidays, the refrigerator in my rental home stopped working . A repair was quickly ordered. The repair was in process when I was notified the property owner was replacing the refrigerator. Repair was completed and a new refrigerator was delivered within a few days. I have been in my rental home 4 years and only requested repairs a couple of times. Desert Wide has always been quickly responsive. I am very grateful to the company and the owner for taking such good care of the home and my needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been with this company for almost 8 years, well organized, quick response for maintenance requests and good repairs by good contractors and handymen, wish they check with the owner or tenant before they place any fine by the lairs of HOA.
Experiencia negativa: I found interest in a property with this company paid a deposit and prorated rent just to find out the property wasn't officially "move in ready"! I've waited in entire month for someone to fix some things or at least get in touch with me and let me know what is going on. Nobody is in full communication with one another yet they automatically assumed that I've been living in their property when I haven't, none of my belongings were moved in yet due to multiple maintenance issues and a unsafe unit due to a broken door latch and poor water pressure. Now another month approaches yet I have some concerns about the rent b/c I feel like it's not fair to me to pay if I didn't live in the unit a month ago due to the issues at hand. I'm a single mother who packed up my entire life to move to Az to maintain a better living for me and my son and the unprofessionalism and attitudes I've experienced thus far is unbelievable and something has got to give!

They have been giving us the run around about the move out inspection since Oct 1st. They no longer answer calls from me or my mother and won't respond. We still have heard nothing in regards to our deposit. Do not rent from them.

Experiencia negativa: Tiffany who I worked with to get the rental is great she advocated and her communication was awesome let me start off there. But this company is trash I was told the home would be painted and new carpet before I moved in. That did not happen and the house was in horrible condition. I would have never signed the lease if I would have know that. Then their excuse was well the owner doesn’t want to pay for that so sorry. Also there had been a fill load of water left in the washing machine so now I have a bad mosquito infestation, the least they could have done was have a professional cleaning person clean the house but no there was dust grease and dirt all over. So now I’m stuck in a lease at a place I don’t feel comfortable in. Just an FYI they do not actually view the property they just look at photos. Make sure the work is done before you sign a lease because they don’t keep their word

We inspect every property in person and a full deep cleaning was done by a professional cleaning service for the property. During my latest management period, I was fortunate enough to work with both Anitra K. and Nika M. Both of these ladies were professional, personable and exceptionally responsive. They recognized that responsiveness and care are very important for homeowners who may not be in the area, or even in the country. Even a day or two delay in communication can be disconcerting for homeowners. They both ensured quick responses and quick action, and I have greatly enjoyed working with them and their team. Experiencia fantástica: This is a company that takes care of their residents. I came home at 6pm yesterday to find my AC was not working, scorching hot inside my house. I immediately called Desertwide after hours emergency line and requested for urgent AC repair. Danelle Baer from Desertwide called their AC service and had someone come out to my house to fix my AC within an hour. I didnt even have to endure the heat very long before it was fixed. Their customer service is top notch, I highly recommend this company!

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE OF THIEVES They Steal Deposits..period. The house we moved out of was immaculate, better than when we moved in. We got a thumbs up from the inspector who told me we did an incredible job cleaning the property. However, when it was time to return the deposit they kept a portion of it for "dirty blinds" That's total B.S. and now I have no recourse. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE THIEVES WHY DID IT TAKE 8 MONTHS TO REPLY DESERTWIDE?? What kind of company are you running that it takes that long to respond to all your negative reviews?
I am sorry you had a bad experience and that we were not able to work through this issue for you. Our inspections are all clearly defined and online for the tenant review. We try to be very fair in the process and we will do our best to work through any items that require attention. It is our intention to always return as much deposit as possible, unless items require additional trips/service, or are beyond normal wear.

Experiencia negativa: Desert Wide is a horrible management company! As a former property owner, I highly recommend you DO NOT use this company to manage your property. They will constantly pass the buck from one person to another, switch property managers for your property and KEEP your money and not do the work. It took me almost 3 years to get a fence gate painted, after I paid them $300 to paint it. They kept saying it was done, but I would go down there to check, (I was an out of state owner) and it was not done. Finally, they painted one side of it, and that is as far as it got. The real kicker is, I sold the property in April of this year, and they will not return my reserve money! In fact, they even charged me a management fee for May, when I wasn’t even the owner of the property!!! When I called, they of course said, oh, that’s an issue, let me pass that on to someone in accounting. This was weeks ago, and I haven’t heard a thing since. I may have to go to small claims to get this taken care of. Again, this is a terrible company, and I highly recommend you go elsewhere if you need a property management company to actually take care of your property. This is one case where I would give them 0 stars if I could! They are that bad. THE OWNER CALLED ME AFTER THIS REVIEW AND RESPONDED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. I PROVIDED FEEDBACK AND HE SOUNDED SINCERE IN HIS DESIRE TO ADDRESS THE VARIOUS ISSUES AND MAKE CHANGES TO PREVENT SIMILAR ISSUES FROM OCCURING. I APPRECIATED HIS REACHING OUT.

After checking further into this situation, we were notified by email in May that the house had been sold and would not stay in management. We processed your 30 day notice as soon as we were made aware, and we are working to get your funds back to you and you will receive the funds before the Arizona Department of Real Estate time limit and requirement. Again, I am sorry you had this experience and we will expedite your funds back to you.
Experiencia negativa: The lady who helped me in the office did not wear a mask nor did she try to keep a physcial distance ( I understand no on can be forced to wear a mask, but the least one can do is not stand right next to you). Almost half a million cases in Arizona... It was really uncomfortable.

Experiencia negativa: Seriously I feel sorry for anyone who rents from here. Let me go back to 2019 of feb we was so excited me and my roommate to rent our first house. Let me just say “Looks are not what they appear “ with this property management. First week my sister and I slept on a matress on the floor. Next day and this never happen at my apartment TICKS WERE FOUND ON OUR CLOTHES AND ON US THE WHOLE TIME LIVING THERE. My poor dogs bed was covered in 20 of em after a week. They did do a spray that didn’t really help for they came back 4 months later. Whole year was a nightmare! Also a infestation of roaches when we were pretty clean roommates. We ended up have to sleep somewhere else cause the ticks. Like 60 of them climbed into my new matress I paid $300 for. Brand new never been used I got it 3 months before we moved out . Got it at a matress store. 2 weeks later found out over 40 ticks crawled in there and had to throw it outside then 49 more crawled out it was disgusting. My review I can’t make up. Then they want to charge me $300 cause the weeds in my yard. When they took 30 days to come and expect it. We put down $1800 and not getting nothing back. They will rack up your charges when you leave to make sure you don’t get nothing and be a con artist. Honestly I can’t wait when I take em to court and tell em how the house wasn’t up to par from the start with the tick infestation from the get go. Don’t rent from here go anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Moved in to a house that had a dead Cat in it; in addition they neglected to tell us that a lady passed away in the house a couple months prior. They charged us over 400 dollars in weeding and cleaning (Baseboards, light fixtures, and window seals) fees, plus charged us over a 100 dollars to fix a screen that had a hole in it when we moved in. We left the house WAY cleaner when we left. This company is a joke, terrible management and are constantly finding ways to screw the tenant to maximize profit. My suggestion is to stay clear of desertwide properties.

We *thought* the washer was broken (because of the water all over the floor- silly us) and when it was discovered that it was a clogged drain and not the appliance, they made us pay for the service call. They are very much on the side of the owners and not the tenants. I’m sure all the property management companies are though....

It is a vulnerable situation to have a property in another state to manage and you all have made this process practically stress-free in relation to the difficulties that can be associated with rental units. We have used your services from both ends of the spectrum, beginning as renters for the first two years and now as rental owners the past two years and your services, staff and handling procedures are exceptional and have continued to grow thanks to outstanding employees like Poly Van Luven!!!
