EIG Property Management manages over 800 rental units in the Twin Cities. EIG is focused predominantly on apartment complexes that range from 5 – 500 units. Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT HERE!!!! THIS IS THE WROST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT EVER!! First off let me say I lived here when I grew up with the property management before EIG bought the property! this winter the whole building went without hot water for close to 2 weeks while they refused to do emergency repairs! The property is always trashed, garbage laying around the outside and inside. The smell is horrible. The newly renovated units look like they were done by rookies! The pool has a dark green tint in the summer! NOTHING has changed since I lived here with my mother as a kid around 7 years ago. Not the carpet in the hallway, not the washer and dryers, even not the locks on the outside doors. Which always get stuck and need to be fiddled with to work. The snow plowing is a joke, inches of Ice built up hazard for slipping. Cars are constantly stuck morning after snow fall due to poor snow removal. (I worked 4 seasons of snow plowing commercially) no salt is laid down. Walk ways aren’t cleared for days. Trash is piled up outside of the dumpster I’ve even seen it put by the doors. Most of the residents here are inconsiderate leaving trash around and their clothes lying in piles for weeks on end in the laundry room. The laundry room is constantly filthy! And not to mention there is no onsite maintenance or caretaker. They do not care about your maintenance requests. And to top it off the towing company will tow vehicles that are permitted to park in the lot. The property manager is a snob, she is rarely on sight. One person I will say is a good man is Jay the assistant property manager he is a great guy! I’ve attached photos and will continue to update going forward. The rent here is not justified for the condition! Also there has been broken glass sitting on the ground in the garage for close to a month now with the door not locking properly! Cannot wait to move away from here as many residents have and are planning to. (EDIT) the response from the property management is blatant lies that can be proved with simple photos. Us residents went without hot water for over two weeks straight this winter, the snow plowing is horrible, and the locks still have not been attended to! Don’t let their reply and fake reviews fool you.
Experiencia negativa: Edit: See the response from EIG below. LIES!!!!!! 27 times in two years no heat or hot water! Now mice. Yes mice! Others have had roaches. The City of Spring Lake Park puts up with their crap and does NOTHING TO HELP! I have contacted a lawyer. These guys suck and NEVER FIX A DAMN THING! This place is disgusting. DO NOT FALL INTO THE BLACK HOLE OF SLUMB LORDS! I have lived at 8050 Central Ave in Spring Lake Park for two years, and this property is run by slumlords. In less than two months, our building has been without heat or hot water seven times. I have contacted the city, and nothing has been done. Tenants pay for heat, water, trash, and gas, yet management cannot even keep the heat on during the winter. When you call management, all you get are excuses—there is never a real solution or sense of urgency. No one should be expected to take cold showers or live without heat in winter while still paying full rent and utilities. Do not rent here unless you are okay with ongoing issues, poor management, and unreliable heat and hot water.
Experiencia negativa: *UPDATED, SINCE I CAN’T RESPONSE TO THEIR COMMENT. My over all experience wasn’t completely terrible but very disappointing. First, I had a property manager ghosted me for two different showings & on my third showing, she was on her phone the whole time. She couldn’t even tell me the price of the apartment. Yeah, I’m talking about you Rachel. On the other hand, I had a few great showings with Molly, she is great at her job. She made this whole process wonderful. Then it got to the application process and that’s where everything fell apart. The lady that was assigned to me, couldn’t give me any clarification or explanation for any of my questions. My questions involved the rent price and how it would affect my lease amount plus deposit etc. I needed to know these answers, before making my final judgement, in that time frame my application was approved and my questions wasn’t answered & I ended up losing my $500 deposit. Previously, when I called Faith to address my concerns & asking for clarifications she told me, she never even opened my emails. All my time wasted emailing and waiting for her to respond just for her to say she never even opened my emails. Remind you, she had emailed me hours before & about my application processing info. I have sent an email to express my experience to Jas and have not heard back. Everyone I emailed seems to only be very responsive, when everything was going well, but when it came down to questions or clarification, I was either ghosted or told to wait for a response. So please be aware. I thought I was going to move in properly, but over time it seems like the “new Team” needs some work. There’s definitely some pros and cons with their current team. I’m glad, I didn’t move in because I didn’t have any clarification on if my rent was going to be the advertised price or the original price & that affects the deposit amount as well. Faith didn’t seem like she wanted to answer my questions or emails & that’s unprofessional, being told they never even opens your email is so disappointing. Through this process, it was set in mind, I will never be renting from EIG. This experience has made it solidify that I will not be coming back to even check out their affordable advertised rent prices. There’s a lot of good employee but the unmotivated employees are the ones that ruin the experience. *UPDATE, Did anyone reach out to me even though they have my info ? No Did I get my $500 back? No Do I recommend this Property Management? No. My experience still stands. I feel scammed, due to the lack of communication. I feel, I got a much faster response from my review on google, than through all the lines of contact of email and calls with anyone who were assigned to my application. I do not recommend this property for their unprofessional selected times of contact and execution of their acts on my application.
Experiencia negativa: They keep canceling my showings this is the second showing they canceled on me I keep taking off work for the showings and they keep canceling on me how unprofessional if you're a management company how come a management company can't meet me at the property if the person showing can't make it I keep taking off work to see these apartments and they keep canceling on me how unprofessional you guys are messing up my money to take off work for this what the hell is going on either refund me my application fee or accept me for the place cuz this is not fair at all why do you guys keep canceling these showings on me I'm taking off work for this what is going on

Experiencia fantástica: I have lived here since September of 2023 and ever since taking a tour to now it has been amazing I remember the lady who showed me the apartment was so kind and helpful in explaining everything, almost anytime I call for a repair or fix I need done it usually gets done same day or the next day, at first I was scared to live in the cities but I have met some of the kindest people out here, when I was looking for an apartment in my price range, I truly didn’t think I would find a place that was as nice as this place, highly recommend

Experiencia fantástica: 5 stars for Jay! I’ve been living at one of the properties for 2 years now. I’ve had such a great experience with Jay as my property manager. He has always spoken to me with complete respect and has handled every issue or concern I’ve brought to him quickly and diligently—especially when others weren’t able to. He goes out of his way to explain things I don’t understand and has even helped expedite situations that weren’t moving as fast as they should’ve. His responsiveness is impressive, and I genuinely feel cared for and supported by him. Thank you, Jay, for making my living experience so much better!

Experiencia fantástica: I originally heard of EIG years ago when I moved into my first place. Back then I wouldn't have given them any rating. However when it was time to find a new home 4 years ago I found my current apartments in Brooklyn Center and tobmy surprise it was the same company. At first I was skeptical but they were they only company to take me as a tenant fresh off a UD. The last 4 years have been pretty good minus the hickeys but in 4 years I only saw them last winter so hopefully the summer preventative measures keep them out this winter. Jay has been amazing the company has been understanding. Im not always on time and may have had to go to court once or twice. But EIG makes sure to work with you and that I can appreciate it allowed me to create a stable home for my son during his high school years. Overall if your looking for an affordable, quiet, and company willing to work with you then check out the BC property. 1 suggestion it may be time to do some face lifts and updates to the walls that are pretty thin u can hear everything ur neighboors are doing lbvs.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been living here for more than 2 years. I don't have anything negative to say. The buildings and outside property are very well kept and clean. Quiet area and quiet neighbors. The property manager and maintenance staff are very nice and respond quickly to the residents. I recommend the Innsbruck apartment 100%
Experiencia negativa: Slum lords at best. I’d leave 0 stars if I could. They will leave you with out essential utilities for months. They will enter with out permission and damage your property. They will tell you they are coming to do repairs and won’t. They will charge you at least triple for any replacement and come weeks after request. They will constantly send incompetent people for repairs. The MN attorney generals office knows about EIG on multiple instances and I encourage anyone who has issues to contact them as well. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

Jay and Heidi have been very flexible and accommodating towards me and have worked with me during financial hardships. You can tell they care about their tenants with their willingness to resolve issues.!
Experiencia fantástica: EIG Property Management is a reputable company. I’ve been renting from them for three years without any complaints. The neighborhood is very quiet, and they are excellent at communicating with residents. If you encounter any issues, they promptly address them to ensure a better living experience for you. I have a wonderful property manager. He’s easy understanding and resourceful person.

Experiencia positiva: Im gonna be completely honest about my stay at the Sherwood Glen apartments. I have not had any issues with maintenance I think maintenance does a good job with responding to requests as soon as they can. I have not had any issues with any of my neighbors and I have been a resident with EIGmanagement for three years now. However there at least two things that I have noticed since I have been a resident here, one I have noticed a few roaches in my unit a couple of times since I been here and for the past few months I have seen a rat run across both of my couches in my unit I thought they took care of the issue before in getting rid of it but I guess not because just noticed it again running back and forth between both of my couches again. I think its hiding somewhere in my long couch and I would like for maintenance to get rid of it I do not want roaches or rats in my unit.

Experiencia fantástica: I been with EIG for about 10 years and I don't have much to complain about. The rent is at a great price and the utilities are not that much. The communication is not bad. No roaches, bedbugs, or mice were I stay. The only thing is the walls are thin but its not that big of a deal.
Experiencia fantástica: I have rented from EIG at the Sherwood Glen Apartments for 5 years and my experience has been good. The property is well maintained and the majority of the neighbors are quiet and respectful of each others privacy. The apartments are located in a quiet residential neighborhood with middle and elementary schools only 2 blocks away. Most of your major retail stores are within 1 or 2 miles and there is a bus stop right outside the building.

The area is nice and my building is quiet. When I had any issues the property managers were quick to respond and work towards a solution. Molly is very understanding and very pleasant to work with.

Experiencia negativa: They KEEP allowing the man I apartment 203 at 966 Robert Street chain smoked in his apartment to the point where it smells like smoke inside my apartment. I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. I keep try to anonymously complain about him smoking inside his apartment and also in the hallways on his way in and out of the building and making a great deal of noise in the middle of the night at night. he's ruining what was once a great building to live in. He is creepy and strange and makes everybody uncomfortable.

Experiencia negativa: Usually very helpful, but can't seem to get them to solve the problem of the man in apartment 203 at 966 Robert Street to stop chain smoking inside the building, walking through the hallways and out the door with lit cigarettes in his hand. I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and have asthma and this is supposed to be a smoke free building. he litters his cigarette butts all over the sidewalk and parking lot, keeps me up all hours of the night banging on things and wrenching with tools, moving furniture and listening to music loud at 2, 3, 4 in the morning. all of the other neighbors are respectful and courteous except for him. He records people in the parking lot with his phone thru his window and also when he is outside he is constantly recording other residents going in and out of the building, it's very concerning and a bit scary. would be a great place to live if it weren't for this one weirdo. he digs through the dumpsters for other residents discarded mail and paperwork and brings it back into his apartment. he always lets the fire doors inside the building and the exterior doors slam any hour of the day or night. it's a nuisance and I'm slightly afraid of him.

Experiencia negativa: I would stay far far far away make an appointment to see a place take off work to see it and then receive a cancellation no explanation no reschedule link nothing just nope cancel you. My guess is it's Friday and Selena didn't want to do showing on a Friday. Then you call the main office and they are just as incompetent stating "oh yes there's a reschedule link" there's not so I forward the email back to them. They insist "our property managers don't work like that" well apparently your property managers don't work at all

Experiencia negativa: The day I moved into my apartment, it was full of problems…no oven or refrigerator work properly and was dirty. The nozzle for the shower head was broken. Doors are breaking apart, the stove is new but the electric burners are from ancient times and won’t work properly. The kitchen floor is wavy with bumps everywhere from corrosion because the tiles aren’t sealed. Windows are leaking water excessively, so be ready with lots of towels to clean up puddles everywhere. And get ready for high heating cost and air conditioning cost because of poor quality insulation and window leaking everywhere. That’s just the beginning…don’t go to EIG!!!!
Experiencia negativa: Whoever planning to live in EIG, please don’t they will steal from you. I want my full refund back. EIG they steal my deposit. I move my things out before my lease had ended, yet I still agree to pay until my lease ended and clean everything out but they won’t refund me my full deposit cause they said that I left trash and didn’t clean anything. Said that I broke a lot of things. They charge me $317 for cleaning. What is there to be clean when I already clean the apartment a month before? All the broken thing was there before move in, they even took photos before I move in. But now they say it’s me.

Experiencia negativa: Communication sucks. Been requesting a pin and being told that’s there not one but I see people on a daily using it. Really wish I would have done my research about this company before moving in.
Experiencia negativa: Living here has been the single worst apartment experience of my life. Every single maintenance request I’ve made they’ve forced me to fight them tooth and nail to get someone to come and fix things. I was told on the day I moved in that I would get a new screen door within the week and we are now at the end of my lease and that still has not happened. When my bathroom sink broke it took me not only over a month to see results but also threatening to use it with complete disregard for the water that would then spray absolutely everywhere as a result. Now my air conditioner has been out all year, they’ve had a ticket open from me since may 8th, and they still will not fix it. I’ve begged, threatened legal action, called biweekly but just get empty promises or even hung up on.

Experiencia negativa: EIG management property apartments was horrible. I wouldn’t even give it a 1 star. The apartment areas are bad. People smoke cigarettes and weeds. Dogs peed and poops inside doorways and entrance to the apartment. The main thing is they lied that they have security cameras and you see the cameras there too so you think and feel safe. They post up notes or emailed you that if package was lost they would look at security cameras this and that. There are gunshots frequently too. But actually, when accidents happened and I filed a police report and I requested the security footage from EIG management to the officer, the manager said oh..the security is not working and still in service. LIAR!!! My new car got hit twice on the property parking and I end up paying thousands of dollars to fix it. It was a huge damage to my new car. I thought it was safe to park there cause there’s security cameras everywhere and when I tour the apartment the person told me there was security cameras everywhere too. If I would have known there’s no security cameras, I would have a backup plan or not even rent their apartment. Can’t wait to get out of these crappy apartments. They don’t include anything in rent. The water, trash, and gas is very expensive for 1 person living in these apartments compare to a 6 people living in a house is cheaper than this. Also, they raise the rent regardless if you’re still in contract. And the contract is 1 year and 1/2 and up. So if ya thinking about renting these apartments and have money to throw away you can rent it. Otherwise …think twice before renting it! It’s not safe!!!

Over my family's year here, way too many things happened that are just unacceptable 1- Our garage door opener would break every 2 months and by the time they came around to fix it, we would have figured it out for another 2 months 2- Our washing machine was broken for around 4 months and it took 2 months just to get a response. Around September (ish), our washing machine wasn't shutting properly and we put a ticket in, but they ignored it for a month until they came around and said everything was fine (it wasn't). Eventually, it completely broke and we had water all over the floor we had to clean up because they didn't fix it. It then took 6 weeks and threatening legal action for them to finally fix it and we were out $200 because we had to use the laundromat. On top of this, a month later, our rent was being raised $300/month 3- The maintenance that DID happen often happened with no notice and no note. The worst was when my little sister, who is a CHILD, was home alone sick when the maintenance guys came into the house 4- They would shut the door to the room with out cat's litter boxes, so I had to clean up cat piss and shit around 3 times this year

EIG was extraordinarily responsive during the emergency and had a maintenance employee on site within 20 minutes of the start of the situation. We were moved to equivalent housing on the same day. Our property manager, Molly, was extremely helpful and worked diligently to help us resolve the situation.

The bad smells starts as soon as you enter the building. The laundry in the entire building has been filled with smelly water and it has not been working for about 4 or 5 months even though we reported many times. The plumbing system never works properly and we have to put in an order every few weeks. I've had my neighbors waste water backed up in my bathtub since I've ever moved in. This apartment can easily win the worst apartment in the United State. Poorest 3rd World have a better facility than this.

My experience with EIG and my apartment: Pros: -The apartment was cheap -Was able to move in immediately Cons: -Dead mouse in my bathroom -Mold & dead insects everywhere -My closet door was broken before I had moved in -Careless/Unresponsive management (ex. scheduled an apartment tour twice and both times nobody showed up) -Costs $4.50 in total to wash and dry your clothes in the laundry room (it initially cost $4.00 to do one load of laundry when I first moved in) -Apartment smelled awful because of an upstairs leak Hope this helps

UPDATE 9 MONTHS LATER; saying they take security “very seriously” but haven’t done anything about the issue of homeless sleeping in the hallways and NOW smoking fentanyl in the hallway. I’m not sure they will do anything about it until something unfortunately happens to someone in here. This ongoing issue proves that they DO NOT CARE about their tenants. My apartment was flooded and they couldn't care any less to fix the problem, reported the issues a few days ago and was told that id get someone out to fix the issue first thing in the morning after calling the emergency line. Never happened and got a phone call saying that they'd TRY to get a plumber out since it's the weekend but there wasn't any urgency and now my apartments flooding again. Experiencia negativa: I would give a ZERO star if it was an option. Absolutely do NOT recommend! If you want a place where they never shovel the sidewalk, or salt their parking lot, get ready to be slipping everywhere outside. Also, our apartment flooded and no response til days later. No sincere apology or compensation for the mess that was made. They just gave us a fan to air out the floor, so likely mold has grown underneath the floors. But this is of no concern to them. The bathroom leaks water from the ceiling when the neighbors upstairs use their bathroom. So imagine using your toilet or brushing your teeth, and water droplets starts dripping and hitting your head.. disgusting… you can literally see mold forming in the bathroom ceiling because of this. They aren’t willing to fix anything. They said to just let them know when a lot of mold is formed and they’ll continue to clean and scrub the mold out… Also, the pipes in our walls sounds like a loud machine gun when the neighbors upstairs turn on their bathtub/shower. The laundry’s washing and dryer machine is constantly breaking, not to mention the business they use for those machines, takes away money from your account with no explanation. There are roaches and mouses in our apartment. They assumed we changed their locks since they couldn’t find their keys to get in our apartment when they were trying to show our apartment since we put in our 2 month notice. The “free” heat they say you have, is never at the right temp. ALWAYS too hot or too cold. Nobody ever cares to respond, especially when necessary. This property management is the worse I’ve ever experienced. They say it’s a “non-smoking apartment” and yet the hallway is constantly reeking of cigarette and marijuanna. The list can go on and on. But when we first moved in, place was not in good clean shape. We literally cleaned and scrubbed everything when moving in, and they dared to charge us on the smallest bare minimum of things that we did not touch base on to clean before moving out. PLEASE save yourselves the STRESS, although it’s a “cheaper” apartment, do NOT put yourself through this stress. There’s a reason why they have such a high employee turnover rate, nobody even wants to work there. Big no no all around. RUN!

The floors were dirty and items left from previous tenant was left behind. Since I own my own cleaning business, I proceeded to clean up after a 27 hour drive to get to this complex. Then my water was ice cold for days when I moved in. The heat was not even working the next day I was here. In the middle of -2 degree weather. I have called maintenance to my apartment several times for assistance. I have arthritis in my joints and was informed that they could not fix my doorbell. So now I have to walk across my apartment and stand in the cold to receive packages or groceries. They said if they don't work they wont work and sorry about that. Then today, my truck was towed. I am a resident and I put the sticker in my window like I was instructed to do. I put it in my side window so that if you are walking by you can see it. This is already an outlandish violation of privacy in which I am exposing to strangers on a daily basis where I live. And in this society not the best safe business practices. Something in which I will be reporting to the right courts and agencies. I have been here for only 2 weeks and have had nothing but issues with communication, and now this. Among all the weird and upsetting things, my hidden device detector has been going off since I moved in. And conveniently was emailed within seconds of the private discussion I was having with my husband, I get an email about feminine needs trash it don't flush it. I will have whatever inspections, lawyers, and agencies look into this company and so must all of you.

Experiencia fantástica: Terrible place to live.I lived here last year. I signed a year lease. In March a new company took over this year. Forged my name on a month to month lease after I signed a year lease.I moved out in March because they were bullying me to move. After I moved they continued to bill me for 2 months so I moved back in. Then they took me to court filed an evection and upped the rental charges by $300.00. These people are foul and bullies. They bully women children and elderly people. They also evicted people after they told them that if they moved they would not file an evection. The new owners were in the vacant apartments and knew that the property were vacant and still filed evections after they told families if they moved in 30 days they wouldn’t file and still charged people rent after they bullied them to move. The location is full of drug dealers, drug users, rats roaches and mold. I asked to have mold removed and they stated that it was nothing they can do except wipe it off the Woden window seal. Very unsafe. They also told me they were were no roaches but the roaches were so bad they are in the hallway. These people are terrible people that try to bully you especially if you are black or don’t understand English! Also the maintenance guy would come to my door at random times of the night and hit on me and try to sell me drugs which I constantly told him I didn’t do. This is a very odd place. Very embarrassing place to be associate it with!

Experiencia positiva: I've had my ups and downs with this company but overall it's not that bad living at their property. I've been dealing with a major maintenance issue that has finally been resolved after over one month. Initially, it was difficult to convey the severity of the issue to maintenance staff, but increasingly this company's customer service has improved. I'm just happy that it's finally fixed and they did a really nice job with the repairs.

Roaches and rats come out of the walls and they never get rid of them. It’s take the maintenance guy 2 weeks to respond to urgent needs. They do everything to take all of your security deposit. There are always trash everywhere on the halfways. The worse possible apartment in Minnesota. I don’t recommend this to anyone, unless you want to live a ghetto lifestyle.

We have no reports from you regarding any pests in your unit and in general do not have any known pest issues at the property where you reside. If you do have a pest issue or maintenance need, it is required that you report them to our office ASAP as we take these types of reports very seriously. Experiencia fantástica: It was quite the experience living here with the water pipes sounding off every time Stolen Christmas presents and stolen cat and household items like our sectionals and queen pillow top mattress (new) etc bathroom items stolen etc , laundry stolen and car was stolen an totaled. I was evicted due to none rent payment which later found out why! Upset about the situation but aside from all that Chaos I’d come back to live here because of the amazing people who live in these buildings and the location it’s self! Price is right! Buildings are in need of TLC Although when me and my kids moved in we had brand new cabinets (white) sink and countertops with new bathroom vanity and sink! All they need is a pool for the kids/adults and playground definitely but other than that it’s a great place to live regardless! Thank you EIG management!

Terrible service, workers, customer service and mostly these people are money hungry, I suggest you find another apartment place, before coming into EIG property apartments I thought to myself well done with presentation but it’s just presentation in the end I had to pay for the damages the workers did. I told them to come fix my apartment an long time ago I had dirty floors, cracked floors and dirty shower they told me when I first moved in THEY will come fix it if I called them, so I waited for a few weeks after a few weeks it became months and by the time they came to fix my showers and cracked floors I already have moved out. They told me to pay for the damages which was already there? I sent proof which it didn’t matter to them. Here I am having to pay them $1,500 for the damages which was already there and they had bugs all over the place name it, ants, cockroaches. I suggest a different place. Read this message Do not rent out anything from EIG they will not take care of you or your family. Please find another complex. Lastly Do Your Job EIG.

Experiencia negativa: EIG has been the worst part of my life they have terrible customer service and workers who think they are all that, I live in Minnesota and I live in Phalen Village they do not care about anything or anybody they love money. Yer the girl I talk too was nice to me and all but in the end they didn’t do their job correctly. Tried to get a good new apartment space for me and my fiancé stayed for like a year here, bad experience. Who ever runs this place needs to be fired. Experiencia negativa: The definition of too good to be true. So, last summer I was looking high and low to find the best 1 bedroom apartment I could afford in the area and EIG had a few buildings that looked promising and got onto my list for tours. The building complex I toured was their Fuller apartments near Marion street and downtown St Paul. So I used the online scheduling tool which seemed very convenient, and ultimately had 2 tours of different units on different days. They met me on time which seemed like a good sign. However, over the course of my two tours I was less and less convinced I could confidently depend on these people with my living situation and finances. The showing agent I had was not downright mean but was using a very condescending and uninterested tone of voice and giving short answers to my very valid and typical basic questions- she acted like I was being annoying to be asking questions and clarification about a place I could potentially commit a year of my life and thousands of dollars to- also one other potential tenant was booked for the same time by mistake, which made us more in a rush. The agent used a similar condescending tone with this other person, as well as when we asked to see other available units, as if we were a pain. I was not impressed by the condition of the units they considered showing ready, with dead flies in the windows, shabby carpets that needed cleaning or repair, and outdated furnishings like blinds, closet doors, handles, lights, etc. one unit they showed us was being “remodeled”, and I know that’s a messy process but let’s just say the scene did not inspire confidence or excitement from an outside perspective- it looked chaotic and disorganized with cheap materials being used and the construction team and showing agent barely on the same page or making things up on the fly. So we finished the tours “successfully” both times, but after this lackluster experience I naively thought it would be worthwhile to leave the feedback EIG THEMSELVES asked for in their auto-reply follow up to the showing. So I was honest but very polite about the experience within that feedback form, and keep in mind I never actually said I would avoid the same agent who led my tours, I simply offered my two cents. As I was still interested in a couple of units because of the layout and price and location, and running out of time to sign a lease, I asked for one more tour at the Fuller buildings so I could see the condition of a potential unit before I committed- expecting things to go smoothly, instead I got back a text from “Kandii” who said “Hello, My name is Kandii, I am the Property Manager for Fuller apartments. I noticed that you scheduled another tour w/us today at 12:15pm. Heidi is the only person that tours this property. You've made it very clear that you were dissatisfied your experience and do not want to tour w/her. Due to this, your appointment has been cancelled.” So me leaving honest and polite feedback for them to use as constructive input to improve their conduct, resulted in me being barred from housing at that building, my feedback used against me, and blacklisted from their apartments due to the petty and immature behavior of the one agent it all relied on, who I never even said I had major issues with to the point of not wanting another tour. But once I received that text it was the final straw and I knew I wasn’t dealing with professionals, so I went with my gut and moved on, found an apartment that has functional management, and don’t regret my decision one bit. I can confidently say I will not bother with EIG in the future after this; there are way too many alternatives in the area to make it worth the risk and trouble. It’s not my job to babysit the feelings of a bunch of leasing “professionals” twice my age who can’t look in a mirror. I hope this little snapshot can give someone else the info they need to proceed with caution when dealing with such an unprofessional, immature, and unreliable company- it’s pretty frightening when thousands of tenants’ livelihoods are in these hands.

Looking at other photos and reviews, they seem to manage their properties the same. Constantly full of trash, broken windows, fences, glass etc. clean up your properties and quit destroying our neighborhoods. Not all tenants contribute to this, but all have to live surrounded in garbage. The apartments in this building go for at least $750-$1000 a month. It’s part of being a landlord. Clean up! Update- nothing has been cleaned ever and they don’t clear their sidewalks. Here is an updated pic of the dumpster. They are the epitome of slum lords

It looks nice and it’s quite but you will NEVER get approved for this apartment without giving them unnecessary money. This apartment will only approve with 2 deposits and come up with a list of BS as to why you were denied in the first place. Based on their criteria. This is the first apartment I ever encountered that asked me for 2 deposits. It’s a scam do not apply they will take your application money , pre lease deposit then ask for another one. 10/10 would NOT recommend. And calling is another trip it takes at least 4 calls to get anybody on the line. Highly unprofessional, biased and clearly discriminates against younger tenants. If your 40+ go ahead anything under just save your money. Edit: aside from the balance and having absolutely no sympathy towards my explained situation. But thank for letting everybody know my business. You guys said I did not have rental history but ignored my last apartment management on several occasions to send a pdf but instead sent a link then said I had holes in my rental history. Also said I did not make enough when I do. And then said my roommate did not have rental history but what 21 year old who has lived with their parent does. Like I said biased and unprofessional plus if I was going to be denied due to my roommates rental history aside from balance , I could have been informed 1 week earlier instead of last minute then was told to pay another deposit to be approved. I was only denied because Preferred not to pay a second deposit . So as per your criteria. Aside from balance you wanted more money. Experiencia negativa: These ppl won’t help you even though your car gets towed from their company itself, I’ve asked numerous times for a parking permit and they say the same thing they can’t give it to me but clearly my car been towed when they said I could park in the parking lot without an parking permit boy was they wrong I have a total of $500 worth of towing of my car and each time I get it back the towing company says the same thing hey get a parking permit or we won’t even tow your car. Thanks so much EIG for making me stress more this is an place where you would want for debt.
Hello- The parking policy for each property is listed on the Lease. If it is a permit parking only property, you would not want to park in the lot without a permit or you will be subject to towing. Experiencia negativa: Scheduled a showing for their property at Maplewood manor, even arrived 10mins early to avoid any hiccups. I called EIG property management, and they don't even know who the showing agent is and don't even have their contact to inform the agent that their appointment has arrived. Since I was early, I told the EIG property management assistant ill wait till it was my scheduled time. 15 mins after my scheduled time still no show agent, called EIG property management back, and the assistant pretty much told me she couldn't do much for me. With the lack of concern, you can tell this property is NOT their top priority. Trust the reviews!

Experiencia negativa: The property was a mess along with the unit I was shown. I would have loved to see the other unit as well but it was being worked on. Both units were in my price range and the friendly staff were knowledgeable.

Experiencia negativa: I have lived here for 8 months now at 1270 Magnolia Ave East. I feel you guys just don't any justice for talking to people who tend their music after 10pm on the weekdays and 11pm on weekends as in giving them lease violations like most companies out there do. You make me not want to live here anymore because of it. The laundry sinks are always full of water so no one can barely do laundry, I have put in stuff in the tenant portal but nothing is happening.

Experiencia fantástica: When we first rented our apartment in south Saint Paul EIG was great. It was the owner of the apartment building that was trash. Although the landlord blamed EIG the same problems have persisted since the landlord changed management companies. EIG why didn’t you take us with you lol?! Our lease will be up in October we need a pet and family friendly 2 bedroom keep us in mind!

Experiencia negativa: I WAITED 3 WEEKS FOR DENIAL. These are the worst communicating property management company I have ever dealt with in my life. I started and application several weeks ago, they took almost 4 days to let me know i was accepted or not, after knowing if they were going to accept me or not, which they could have easily told me the same day the info was sent to them, they also still had the unit on the market for other people to apply after I gave them a deposit for the unit, after waiting almost 3 weeks then they wait til the end of day before the office closes to let me know the decision so that they don’t have to respond the same day. Save yourself time with applying with these people they choose who they want to rent to if your black don’t bother

Experiencia negativa: Sheri from maplewood building is just so unproffesional i see her harrasing tenants everyday. I dont reccomend dealing with this unproffesional company. Check out capital view apartments close to maplewood.
Experiencia fantástica: Mr, Sajjad answered the phone line very professional and friendly. I spoke with him shortly about an issue I had with the tenants portal. He patiently talked me through the question and helped me resolve the situation. There was no payment from a bank account. Which was good because it wasn't needed this time. I felt at ease and happy Mr, Sajjad was super and I appreciate his demeanor and would seek him out with any question believing that he would take the time to give great customer service. Thank you Sajjad.
Experiencia negativa: Others might have a different experience with this company but I will share mine... The apartments at County RD B E, Maplewood was managed by a different company. They had onsite staffs. You can easily go up to them and make resquests. The maintenance persons are onsite, they take care of apartment problems right away. The cleaning lady came and vacuum and mop the floor every week. The building is old, but I was satisfied with this service. Now, on to EIG.... Then a different entity bought these apartments and EIG became the manager for it. There are no onsite personnels. Everything has to go thru phone and email. Which I dont mind. But since they took over, the buildings became a trash site as you can see in the photos. These are not just around for a day or two....they are around for weeks before they are cleaned up. And the carpet is still as dirty even today as I write this. The hard floors in the hallway always dirty. Then we are decided to move out and contacting them to multiple phones, emails and no reply. Not a single reply. I event created multiple requests and still not a single reply. Most of the time, their main phone goes straight to holding then hang up. The assistant property manager phone goes straight to voicemail. Left multiple voicemails, no return calls or any responds. I could go on and on but it is suffice what I wrote here. From what I experienced, I would not recommend anyone for this company.
