Experiencia negativa: Horrible. The lady that showed my apartment to me was rushing and i couldnt understand her very well and while she was going through paperwork with me she was having a full blown conversation with someone else in spanish. Ive lived here for a few months now and they had just completely stopped responding to my voicemails i leave them, and get back to me super late when i write an email. An inspector came to my home one day and tried to just walk into my home, unlocked my door and had the door open when i got up to go see who i thought was trying to break in. Another time a maintenance person came and i was given no prior written notice for this visit, and all i got verbal was that he would be back tomorrow. No time, just said tomorrow. And i work overnights so it really sucked because i had to stay up all day waiting bc i didnt know what time he was actually coming. Horrible place, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM IF YOU CAN HELP IT.

Experiencia fantástica: Was treated poorly when i brought problems to there attention that were going on at my complex was told to just call the police then out of frustration i hung up the phone because she was not getting what i was trying to day the next day i got a email saying that i was written up and given a warning for me being rude and disrespectful , wow get someone there that has some people skills and or find someone that is qualified for that job

Experiencia negativa: Had to clean up dead mice twice within two months of living here, we are still having problems with pests even though mint properties allegedly sent in “pest control” aka maintenance who puts down and replaces sticky pads, said the apartment is roach free (hilarious). We continued to see roaches and I now have to get rid of my air fryer and all my cookware due to roaches leaving dropping everywhere. I’ve seen roaches crawl up between the cracks in the walls, mice still pop up, hallways and staircases are always filled with garbage and makes the building smell awful. We’ve rented two different properties with them and both have the same issues. Of course they will not refund us our deposit and expect us to pay to break the lease, these people will NOT be seeing another cent from me!

Experiencia negativa: The building is super rough. Half the common area windows aren’t properly aligned and have trouble opening/closing, smells in the hallways range from cigarettes to urine, and neighbors blast music that can be heard through doors. The apartments themselves are also not that great, with plenty of damage from former tenants and old appliances like super rusty bathroom sinks. You have no control over heating as the radiators pump hot air randomly. The only redeeming thing is that they’re cheap.

Experiencia fantástica: After 2+ years my experience has been good. I've only had a couple maintenance requests and they always respond timely. Rent is super reasonable. We live in an old brownstone walk up and the only recommendation I have is the kitchens without a window or stove fan make it a challenge for those of us who cook regularly. I bought a portable grease fan to help minimize grease and smoke in the kitchen but a stove fan would be much more efficient.

Experiencia positiva: I've had okay interactions. But I live in a basement apartment and both apartments above me refuse to use shower curtains, in addition to a water emergency created by their maintenance leaking water from several floors above, I've been inundated by my neighbor's showers. So water has been pouring through my bathroom walls on four separate occasions over the last 6 months. It's created mold and it's to the point that I have to move out. So I would say it was okay up until this point. But there's definitely still mold in the wall even with paint over it and it's never going to dry out as long as people keep refusing to use shower curtains.

Experiencia fantástica: Update: Oct. 2025 - has another leak in the bathroom ceiling, and called Mint maintenance line. The staff are extremely polite and personable, and scheduled a tech to come check it out pronto. The Maintenance tech patched, sanded and repainted all in a couple days. Truly first rate response and work. Mint has a fantastic team! Had a leak in the ceiling (100 year old pipes) and the maintenance tech had a real complicated job on his hands. He handled it superbly, work great communication and skill. Fantastic job! Update 4/2025: Mint Properties maintenance still responding quickly to requests sent via their app. Superb job! (Replaced a part on my building's dryer next day ) Another update: I noticed that there was a small issue with the front door of our apartment and contacted Mint through the maintenance section of their website. I received a reply quickly and informed that the issue would be fixed this afternoon. Great job and super communication!

Experiencia negativa: Mint recently sold my building to new owners. During their ownership of my building, while responsive to maintenance requests, they were extremely disrespectful of my rights as a tenant, and dismissive of my complaints. When I called with maintenances requests, instead of scheduling with me or even giving any time windows for me to choose from, they would send me a text, after the office was close for the day, that they would be in the next day anywhere from 9am (before the office opens) to 4:30 pm. a SEVEN HOUR window!! I was working overnights when I first moved in, and asked them multiple times not to come in after 2pm because I would be asleep, which they did violate. In addition to coming in with a less than 24 hour notice multiple times. At least in the Twin Cities, landlords are required to give 24 hours minimum notice before entering a unit. Each time I called to complain about this and they rarely answered or got back to me. I stopped calling them about maintenance requests because they didn't respect this. In the spring this year, we had a very cold couple of days. Around 8pm I got home and my heat wasn't working, I had oral surgery scheduled for the next morning, so I called their after hours line and asked them to come fix it because it was WELL below the 68° that landlords are required to maintain in the building before April 30th. I have two cats, they were obviously cold, and I was freezing. It had to be like, 50 degrees in here. When you call the after hours line there is a statement about what constitutes an emergency reason to call, and heating issues WAS listed as a valid reason to call after hours. I was told by the head maintenance guy, that if it was only my unit then they wouldn't be able to fix it until morning. I explained that I would be having surgery in the morning and I’m not wanting people in and out of my apartment while I’m recovering from that. I asked if they at least had space heaters they could bring tonight, and they said yes but that they wouldn't bring them until morning unless it was the whole building that was out because it doesn’t make sense to send a guy out for one unit. So I knocked on my neighbors door and asked if their heat was out, which IT WAS, I told them wait Mint told me, and they said they would call. Assuming they did, I called back 30 min later and Mint told me that they wouldn't be coming out tonight and ignored any further calls that I made. Luckily a neighbor down the street had a small heater I could borrow for the weekend. Recently before selling the building (which they did not inform us would be happening and I found out by getting an email from the new management, who I hope to god are better) They did a safety inspection where they sent us a text again with less than 24 hour notice that they’d be entering each apartment. I put a sign on my door saying they can’t come in until after 12:39 pm bc thats the time I got that message the day before. The next day, with again no notice, maintenance showed up to fix an issue with my radiators that I called about a year ago that was partially resolved, and again was left only partially resolved. They replaced the knobs on my radiators, one of which now can’t even be turned, and the other just spins without turning the part that turns the radiator on or off. (The third one spews some nasty black liquid at the base of the knob when I tried to shut it off so I just left it on). Also the building has a ton of mice, they would poop all over my counters furniture and floors, and they were so loud they’d wake me up. Haven’t seen any signs of mice since I got cats, none of the traps they left ever caught any mice. I love my unit as I’ve really made it a home, which Is why I haven't left, but renting with Mint has been mostly just frustrating and demeaning as a tenant. Really hoping the new management is better.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give 0/5, I would. When I moved in, I was assured by Ashe from the leasing team that there were no roaches in my building or unit. That was absolutely untrue. I’ve been stuck in this lease all year dealing with constant roach infestations, to the point where I don’t even cook in my own apartment because it’s so disgusting. On top of that, I’ve repeatedly requested maintenance to address an eroding wall in my bathroom (which was already damaged before I moved in), but they’ve refused to fix it. Management shows no concern for the conditions their residents are living in. This place is run by slumlords, avoid at all costs.

Experiencia fantástica: I have rented from Mint Properties since 2018. Over the years, the customer service of office staff and maintenance staff has improved dramatically. Within a couple hours of any inquiry (by text or e-mail), I usually receive a response. I am appreciative to staff that have gone beyond everyday customer service when emergencies and special circumstances demanded extra steps in solving an unforseen crisis or emergency.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT RENT FROM MINT PROPERTIES When trying to find an apartment they were great. They found me exactly what I needed. The problem is that they're apartments aren't in good shape, and once you sign a lease, you are STUCK. The first apartment I was going to get, they wouldn't let me rent it because they found roaches. This is at 1929 3rd Avenue South Apartment 204. The odor was so bad on first floor, and there was a sign on the 104 that the apartment was uninhabitable. After three months Mint finally cleaned it out and many roaches came out of that apartment. There is a dead roach squashed on the wall. Mint will be super nice to you before you rent, but once you are stuck, you are to blame for the issues that happen. The apartment building itself is in severe disrepair. The washers and dryers are broken and eat money. The common space windows are missing screens. They have people to clean the common areas - but they don't do a very good job. And if you think you're going to get packages - you have another thing coming. I honestly don't even care about my deposit for this apartment. I would rather just break the lease and move. When I complained about the roaches - they tried to tell me that I had a lease violation because my apartment isn't clean. But it is. I vacuum and do laundry every day. This apartment is DISCUSTING - but Mint properties...even more so. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THEM.

Experiencia negativa: The people pee in the elevator so stinks really bad , it has carpet and seems that nobody has been complaining anymore, carpet needs to be removed ASAP!. The small elevator also it’s getting the same smell. It is very disappointed. ( I didn’t put this yellow paper) . They have people always drinking alcohol in the patio, every afternoon.

Experiencia negativa: Heed these reviews!!! I hate even giving them one star. I lived in one of their properties for a year, have 20 days left on my lease, and cannot wait to be done with them!!! COCKROACHES are inevitable, and they'll blame you/the neighborhood/even your unit. I was told by the guy that came to address the cockroaches to juat "expect them in this neighborhood, and especially in a garden level apartment." I kept my apartment is good shape, and they're threatening me with a lease violation because they claim its "unshowable" due to issues that don't even make sense, and are not present. They're just trying to keep the deposit. These are SLUM LORDS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Experiencia fantástica: One of the few companies in the cities that both rents AFFORDABLE apartments and actually takes care of them. We have had quite a few maintenance issues in the past 2 years that we have lived here (due to the nature of living in old buildings) and they are always responsive and quick to fix any and everything. Maintenance is always kind and respectful of your space and will call in outside help if they can’t fix the problem themselves. When covid hit and we had trouble paying rent they were quick to set us up with a government program to cover it, no judgement. Wayyyyy better than other companies we have rented from in the same area and price range. Edit to say this review is about the company, not the actual apartment building. Living in the building was rough. But dealing with the company was positive

Experiencia positiva: In my own words #372 Cleveland ave N, I found that it is accessible to the supermarkets and all of the Asian/American markets. I am in the midway and the people living in this bldg I found out that they are friendly. Most importantly when there's a problem like the bathroom or any other problems within the building maintenance people are very quick to come and fixed the problem and they are polite and that's what I liked about it.

Experiencia negativa: DONT EVER EVER LIVE HERE!!!! My second day here I seen roaches in my apartment. I’ve had issues prior to me moving that still haven’t been fixed. My ceiling in my bathroom just filled with water and caved in so now there’s a huge hole. They’ve only came once to deal with that. Theres huge holes throughout the apartment. It reeks like cigarettes daily but I don’t smoke. Car has been broken into and smashed being over here. If you want to have some peace of mind don’t come here I’m begging you I wish I would’ve read the reviews before coming here. DONT DO IT!!!!!!

Experiencia positiva: I had been waiting on a working oven since a couple days post-Thanksgiving. I had messaged for an update about mid-December, but saw no reply. On Jan. 02, a Maintenance Team Member showed-up w/the Appliance Delivery folks right behind him. I was caught off-guard, because I saw no email and/or text message w/the update, but that was not the fault of the Maintenance/Delivery crew. THEY were VERY efficient, helpful, accomodating to assist me in "providing easy-access" - due to my lack of notification/preparation. Kudos and Thank you for a New Working oven!

Experiencia negativa: Been renting w this dying agency for only a couple months now. During the time I’ve been renting, the hot water heater has gone out twice. There has been literal human feces in the staircases leading up to apartments which took about a week to be properly cleaned up. Construction is going on in the unit above me w no notice or anything just loud constant banging and drilling during the daytime hours. I’m a first time renter. But ik this isn’t how things should be taken care of.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an auto theft, meaning the thief had access to my name and address. I requested my apartment lock to be changed in an abundance of caution. After I called the office, they called me back within minutes and were willing to come out that day if needed, even though I called late on a Friday. I elected to wait until Monday, and they were here before the office even opened Monday AM. And finished within minutes. Great service, and it added to my peace of mind to have this done.

Experiencia positiva: I lived at their 2020 Nicollet property. I signed a year lease, but only stayed a few months. I just recently got a subleaser to take over. I have rented from much shadier companies, but I’ve also had much better experiences elsewhere in terms of communication, cleanliness, respect. The maintenance man who lived in my building was very timely, nice, and actually fixed problems instead of putting bandaids on them. The office is very difficult to get a call back from. They have only gotten back to me once or twice, I usually wind up having to stop by their office. Thankfully, it was located only a couple minutes away. When it came time to sublease my apartment though they were pretty fast and let me know what was happening. They will be the first to admit they are incredibly understaffed, but when I ask them if they’re currently hiring, they always say they are not. After the pandemic it seems to be a similar situation among many companies to squeeze out a lot more out of their current employees. For hire signs are everywhere at firms right now, but it suits their balance sheet to have less labor. They do have an app where you can submit maintenance requests and pay rent, that is convenient. Would I rent from them again? Possibly. I’d say 50/50 shot. Some of the other practices weren’t dirty, but questionable. When one puts down an app fee, they are also required to put down a deposit at the same time, so you better be serious. It’s non refundable, but applied to your balance should you choose to rent from them.

Experiencia negativa: They are quick to send an eviction notice one day after the 5th but not quick to address maintenance concerns. I have been told that some of my repair requests are just not going to get done because the building is old. I just had maintenance in for my heater and it still isn't working. But of course rent has to be paid immediately. My phone still isn't connected to my Intercom. There are mice and roaches that I know aren't from my apartment. The hallways stinks badly and forget your privacy. I don't want everyone knowing which apartment I live in yet names and apartment numbers are boldly displayed right over mailbox when carrier can see the names inside the mailbox. Oh and the parking....they want an extra $75 a month for a lottery parking space outside. It's first come first serve on the paid very limited parking in the back. Good luck finding parking on the streets if you work evenings!

Experiencia fantástica: mint is a gem in a sea of unfriendly faces for weird pet owners such as myself. i’m a big animal nut so i’ve got ferrets, birds, reptiles, etc, and when i asked the leasing agent if this was okay she told me as long as it wasn’t a dog (they do have a few properties that allow them, though) or more than three cats they didn’t care. even said they once had a tenant who bred guinea pigs out her unit, lol. no pet rent or extra deposit or anything. they allowed me to transfer properties when i had safety concerns regarding another tenant in my building. the only real issues i had was when our single only washing machine broke and there was a delay on the part needed so it took a couple weeks to get fixed, and showings for your place when you’re moving out can be unpredictable and last minute. other than that, nice units, decent prices, good people.

Experiencia negativa: This will definitely be my last year living here not only are the apartments old and outdated unless you recently moving in I have had every rodent there is in my unit from roaches,mice,bed bugs and currently dealing with bats flying around my apartment while me and my daughter sleeps they come maintenance comes in 8 hours after I called for help say they saw nothing but patched up the holes they didn’t not do a good job because the next day I come home to another bat my daughter is completely traumatized and once again I have to wait hours for help currently can’t even be in my apartment because it’s not right those thing carry rabies and I feel like there is no urgency to help me

Experiencia fantástica: I originally though we were getting off to a bad start but then they gave me an even better offer than the one I was looking at. People seem nice over the phone and in person so far. Very thankful because moving is hard enough. Additionally, when a coil broke on my oven recently, they sent someone within 48 business days to look at it and it was fixed within the week. The maintenence guy they sent was really nice and easy on the eyes too, which is just a nice bonus. Very thankful these guys are so responsive on their maintenance requests.

Experiencia fantástica: They have absolutely beautiful vintage properties that are very well cared for! The staff was very welcoming & transparent in explaining any questions or concerns I had! I had an extremely lovely experience and proud to be a renter from Mint Properties. I would HIGHLY recommend if you’re looking for somewhere with a vintage look in a nice city area!

Experiencia negativa: I don’t know where to start honestly I really don’t I should’ve known the first day 03/31/2023 I moved in not even 24 hours of being moved in I was contacted by Mint and was falsely accused/ reported by a neighbor that I was smoking drugs specifically ( meth ) in the hallway in from of my apartment complex door? ? Like are you kidding me and I think I have an idea of the exact tenant that falsely reported me. This is the tenant watched me on my first day of me moving in all my things into my apartment just staring and being nosy like a freaking creep. What they had accused me of That is indeed defamation of character. I communicated to the property manager/ and the leasing office that was a LIE and who in the hell would falsely accuse me of such. I am in my 20s I am hard working young lady anyone that knows that of me . And the property manager just seems as if they didn’t wanna believe me sick !! Fast forward today 08/08/2024 I got a phone call from Mint this afternoon regarding an incident that happen the day prior on 08/07/2024 that someone gotten their car broken into and now I am being falsely accuse of THAT incident and that the tenant physically saw me leave out my home to break into their vehicle like ARE YOU SERIOUS ? . I stated to the property manager that is a in fact a LIE and that I haven’t been home all day that day, and that I have been at work after then going to my families house then after later on went out with some friends so please explain to me how could this be ? So now they want me to contact my job for proof of evidence that I attended work like really? That’s is no problem I have nothing to lie about but that just shows I GOTTA GO. Seems as if someone/ that person in these apartments do drugs of some sort and falsely accuse other tenants to keep the focus off their wrong doings . Oh did I forget to mention I don’t smoke drink or do any drugs of any sort !!!

Experiencia negativa: Lived there for about 4 1/2 years! Accounting Staff some not all have no , none 0.00 knowledge of professionalism!! Live on 1929 3rd corner of Franklin & 3rd. Believe it or not my mental health went from 20% to 110% they treat as they were talking to their kids! I have reports over reports from calling police to report homeless people sneaking through the back door reports from me, to Mint.. nothing was ever done.solution to roaches, mice stickytraps one time I just found a box of four in my door, homeless folk, and putrid neighbors. In the basement you will find broken laundry machines, sewage overflow, and leftover fentanyl smoking foils !

Experiencia fantástica: I have been renting from Mint for five years and although they are not perfect as a management company, they are patient and understanding and get things done as quick as they can. I give them five stars because I see what they deal with and I am glad I don’t have to. Good job all. Highly recommend to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: This company is very concerning. I think all the 5 star reviews are click bait. If they received honest feedback their rating would be in the 2’s. They tow your car if your sticker is in the wrong place (scam). They can’t find keys to your mail box (three weeks later). They can’t give you a safe space to receive any packages. 10 total stolen while I was moving in (left for two days to visit family all taken by residents in building). Do not live here unless you just need a bed and shower. Might as well live on a campsite.

Experiencia negativa: I absolutely can’t wait to get out of here. I’ve lived here for 2 years and it’s been horrible. The building is dirty, there are mice and roaches and a bed bug infestation at one point and nothing gets done about it. It took them a year to fix my bathroom and I had to have the state called for them to even do anything about it. I’ve given my notice and they just tried to show my apartment without giving me any notice. No phone call, text message, or email at all. I have a dog and cats and was not even home to take care of my animals when they tried to show my apartment. I get anxious when strangers look at my things and didn’t even have notice to clean. The neighbors smoke drugs, you can smell it in the hallway, nothing gets done about that. Maintenance and management have even come into my unit WITHOUT WARNING OR NOTICE before. There was no emergency that required them to come in without a notice, either. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They don’t care, they don’t know what they’re doing, their buildings aren’t up to state code, the roaches and mice are ridiculous, the list goes on. I would look elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Update: Extremely disappointed with Mint. One of their buildings I was a tenant in got sold to a terrible management company. I went to look at another one of their properties. I had just put down the deposit and a week later received a call that the property was sold. I hadn't even signed a lease yet! I really wish this had been disclosed to me before signing, as I had expressed excitement at being their tenant again. When I called and asked if there were any other properties that they weren't planning on selling, they said they didn't know. Pretty sure they're liquidating all their properties. So just rent from somewhere else or you could be sold to a horrible management company you didn't choose. Very upset and disappointed as this was a great place to rent from for many years. Old review: I have been a tenant with Mint Properties for over 5 years in two different properties. Their properties are a little older, so they don't offer amenities or anything like that. But they are clean and they are affordable for those of us who don't want to spend $1500 on a studio apartment. I have one bad thing to say: the people who show apartments and who you sign you lease with don't know anything and are bad at their jobs. I was told that my unit was electric only (it wasn't) and to put my parking pass "anywhere" which resulted in me being towed. The great thing I have to say is that their office staff are absolutely superb. They will answer any questions you have and I was able to have them call the towing company who released my car without a charge (and I promptly put my parking pass in the *correct* spot). Within the last year or two they created an online portal and when I had trouble, the accounting office was of extreme help getting my account fixed. The maintenance staff can be slow for non-emergencies but when there is an emergency they are there so fast! The office staff and the maintenance staff are amazing and if you're looking for something clean and affordable, I would absolutely 100% recommend them! Honestly, I probably won't rent with any other company because I love affordability and the staff have always been great to me. Just pay your rent and be a good tenant and you will have no problems with them!

Experiencia negativa: My car was broken into and these guys tell me that they don't have security cameras and that it does nothing I am highly disappointed with this company can't wait for my lease to be up I wouldn't recommend living here because if your car gets broken into there is absolutely nothing they can do and they won't even try to make the situation better

Experiencia negativa: When first getting into the apartment, Min Property employees were kind, respectful, and helpful. That's the good point. However, there are many, many bad points. 1) Maintenance may be on call 24/7. They normally respond within 24 hours. If it's an emergency, they will come out right away. But when I called because my dishwasher, which comes with the unit, wasn't working, they sent someone who admitted they had no idea how to work on a dishwasher. His exact words were, "I have no idea how to fix a dishwasher, I've never worked on one before. So let's see what happens." What happened was he got the dishwasher working, but when I ran it, it created a giant puddle on the kitchen floor. This caused emergency maintenance to have to be called out. Their answer to the mouse problem where a mouse literally chewed a big hole in the wall was to put down a poison trap. And they didn't do anything to fix the hole in the wall. A couple months after moving in, we found out how well they installed the dining room ceiling fan. We found out because it fell out of the ceiling. My old man had to fix it. 2) There is very little, if any, insulation in the walls between apartments and between floors. I could literally hear the people upstairs walking, playing music, enjoying bedroom activities, and opening their closet doors. And I suffer migraines. The very nice couple above me have very young kids who like to run and jump because kids have lots of energy. It sounded like a herd of elephants or a bowling alley/skating rink. This is what happens when there is no insulation. 3) There is a requirement, which we were not told about when we signed the lease, to allow them to bring people into the unit to show it and try to rent it when you turn in your 2 month notice that you are moving out. Some of the Mint Property employees who arrive to show the apartment are rude and disrespectful. One lady opened my closets without even asking which check the laws. I did and found out that in the eyes of the law,that is the same as going through your personal stuff, which is illegal. 4) This one is only a negative for some people. For others, it is a positive. This is a smoke-free building, but that rule is not enforced at all. My old man was down in the laundry room doing laundry, and someone walked into the laundry room smoking a lit cigarette. 5) The doors, both front and back, that allow access to the building are very difficult to open. I lived here for a year, and I still can't get the front door open from the outside with my key at all, and I have 50/50 odds on the back door. 6) Thievery of packages delivered in the mail is rampant. If you order a package, it's best you know exactly when it arrives and can race to the mailbox area to grab it. If you do not, there are good.odds you will never see your package because someone will steal it. 7) Admittedly, this is one Mint can't fix and isn't their fault. This neighborhood is riddled with crime. Gunshots can be heard on most days, and the cops do not respond to it. My old man witnessed a shooting on his way home from work. This was right in front of him, on an extremely busy street, 4 blocks from the apartment. The only person out of all the people who saw the shooting to call it in was my old man. 8) We were told that this place was taken care of by pest control. During the summer, we were plagued by flies and gnats. I've seen a few tiny roaches. And yet I keep a decently clean house. My place of living never gets dirty enough to attract roaches. I don't let it. Yet I've seen them. It is few and far between but with how well I keep house, and with this place being pest controlled, I should never have seen any. 9) I have seen some of the covers for the heating floor vents in the halls knocked completely off, which wasn't fixed for over two weeks. That does not speak of them taking very good care of the place. 10) Storage space is sorely lacking. Overall, I have to give this place a 2 star rating, and the second star not being taken away is only because maintenance will respond in a timely manner.

Experiencia negativa: Mice, roaches, bad neighbors, dirty building…! I could go on. The hallway smells really bad 90% of the time, the carpets are gross, and there’s always something happening. I emailed the about a mouse my cat caught and never got a response. There were no roach traps when I signed my lease but when I came back to move in a few days later, they magically appeared. Dumpster is always grossly overflowing. There’s barely a parking lot so get ready for street parking cause it’s $60 to park in a lot that’s impossible to easily get in and out of. It’s cheaper to park with the city. I thought this was going to be a good fresh start but I realized I was just fooled by the price and now I’m just counting the days til my lease is up. If you’re in a pinch it works, and if not I’d recommend somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: Excited for my lease to be up to say the least. Love how 90% of the time the washing machines and dryers never work. Love how roaches are in my apartment and I have never lived in a place with roaches, all my stuff is new cause this is my first apartment. All they’ve done is put gel bate traps out and then on the last email said “oh we think it’s coming from other apartments.” Wow what a discovery! That was months ago and if all your doing is gel bate I can do that myself. How there was barf In the middle of the hallway for a week and etc. Never would suggest to anyone to live here.

Experiencia fantástica: Mint Properties was one of the best companies I have ever rented from. I loved living at my apartment in South Minneapolis for over 3 years before I relocated for a job to the East Coast. The staff are very professional, responsive, and caring, and they did an amazing job at maintaining my building. I will really miss living there! The community was also one of my favorites, and definitely in part to my building and all the awesome people there. Thank you for everything - much appreciated!

Experiencia fantástica: My experience with Mint has mostly been positive. I've dealt with some extremely horrible landlords and tenants. Yes, they are cons. The buildings are a little dated (these are old-school southside Minneapolis apartments), but in an ever-growing luxury market, the renovations they have done go a long way. The Mint team is responsive, and do try hard to make a great experience. My only complaints have honestly been outside of Mint, like loud neighbors with their domestic disputes, but that can be anywhere, no matter how nice your apartment is. Mint could try hard to renovated the hallways, make them more clean, because once the hallways match the renovations of inside the units, Mint will have the look DOWN!

Experiencia negativa: After multiple maintenance requests and no acknowledgment from this entity, I have concluded that this is decent at best when including location. Furthermore, maintainence never cleans up after themselves and left a mess in my broken cabinet with rubble getting into open containers. No 24hr warning when they show up and still haven't fixed it. Had to through out some stuff. I had a drain fly infestation originating from a crack between my kitchen cabinet and ceiling. Both of these have been brought to their attention, and there has been no reply in reasonable time. I should have noticed the red flags right away: The resonance of past dead drain flies not cleaned up and a small crack between the cabinet and ceiling on show day. Dated flooring and dated heating system. Industrial sink is unappealing and no counter. You are paying for location and not much else. The community laundry and storage space is a decent convenience.

Experiencia negativa: Had to kill a roach first night living here and I was adamant about asking her about pest control before I even moved in ‍♂️ The on site laundry room is trash I have to go down the street to wash clothes be careful with what property you pick with these people.

Experiencia positiva: Pros: Attentive maintenance team, and staff. They follow up with every questions and concerns you may have. 24 hour maintenance that actually works. Great for first time renters. Close to downtown and work. Affordable rent. Spacious. Cons: Too much maintenance due to the building being old. Loud neighbors who constantly fight. The safety is questionable since the apartment is located close to downtown. Unknown people hanging around and yelling outside of the apartment. (I had a corner apartment). I know Mint Properties has other apartment buildings that might be located in much safer areas. As a woman, living on my own, I didn’t feel like the area was safe. My advice to you is to do your research and visit the apartment before renting out. The staff is doing their very best to maintain and keep the apartment safe but there’s only so much they could do.
