Experiencia negativa: I was a tenant for one year renting through renters warehouse. Long story short, I lost money living here and it cost me money to leave. When I first moved in I went months without a proper working fridge and I ended up losing my food multiple times and you would think that they would reimburse you for something like that but nope, they don’t care. Living here there was no grace periods for Rent payments. It was due on the first, and that was that! Weird!!! And No problem for me but still just to have a few extra days never hurts anyone. I moved there in August and I had new neighbors move in above me in December. Going from having nothing but peace and quiet to having kids running, jumping diving from one side of the place to the other side for absolutely no reason morning, noon and night literally none stop unless they were gone from the house was very very nerve wrecking. Called and made a couple of complaints and was told that it wasn’t anything that anyone could do because they were buyers and I was a renter. Like huhhhhh??? Fast-forward I’m moving out August 2025 and had to pay $300 plus for a professional cleaning with a receipt to show for it. That’s also crazy to me, because why must I pay someone else to clean it when I could just simply do it myself. I went to the office to ask them about pudding the walls and painting over it and they told me not to just for them to charge me almost $400 for paint and nail holes alone. And it was literally only one wall that I kinda peeled the paint. Being charged $42 for an outlet cover is crazy when it’s only 3-5 bucks in Walmart. and then they charged me a $100 plus chimney sweep fee for a fire place that I didn’t even use! Just Ridiculous!! But I charge it to the game and keep on moving. Update: I’m in a much better place now. And my neighbors don’t live on top of me either!!

Experiencia negativa: Had them as a management company for a couple of years and any time you try to suggest constructive criticism they threaten to drop you. They did repairs on a couple of my properties that were horrible. Additionally they couldn’t rent a property even though it had over 250+ inquires on it. Not sure how that is even possible but the more properties I added with them the worse they got. If you’re looking for someone you can reach out to easily and talk with on a day to day about your properties this is not the company. They’re too large of an operation to care if they lose your business or not. QUICK UPDATE 8/8/2025: I was able to rent both of my houses after parting with renters warehouse to qualified tenants within 2 days of them being on market. Renters warehouse said we only had 1 applicant to our property I got 20 within two days. Don't waste your time with this company if you're a landlord! ALSO I ATTACHED PICS OF THE HOUSE I TRIED TO HAVE THEM RENT! Just to show you guys that I do take care of my properties and they purely were just not able to do the job!

Experiencia negativa: Unacceptable move-in condition and ignored allergy concern I recently rented a property through Renters Warehouse – Hampton Roads, and the experience has been very disappointing. The home was filthy upon move-in — dirty floors, surfaces, and worst of all, pet hair all over the house. I have a severe allergy to animal fur, which made it a serious health issue. They sent me a cleaning receipt when I complained, but it was obvious the home had not been properly cleaned. I provided photos as proof and explained the health risks, but they completely ignored my messages for days. This company clearly lacks responsibility and customer care. If you have allergies or expect a professionally managed property — be careful. I'm currently filing formal complaints with the BBB and Virginia Real Estate Board.

Experiencia negativa: I had recently separated from my husband and decided to move to one of thier properties they were renting. Soon as I moved in the breaker kept tripping leaving us with hardly any light downstairs. They had a company come out and do a temporary fix because they stated that the fault was on the association. We’ll one day out of the blue the association stops by the property without any notice and I was not there needless to say the lights were back out again. This time it took over a week to fix because of snow I have not idea what snow had to do with anything but we were confined to the upstairs because nothing worked downstairs except the kitchen. He heat never worked downstairs it was so cold we had to use heated blankets the upstairs extremely hot. They wanted me to put the thermostat on on instead of auto. However I was not willing to do that because I was not going to be paying a huge gas bill. The roof leaked they came out a sprayed the ceiling. The shower has mold in it no one has come to fix that yet it been over 10 days the shower is leaking and no one has been out to fix that either. I asked to be let out the lease they stated a tenant exchange program which I am not comfortable with because this property may never rent until they get things fixed. So be ware this company is never in the office you can not call and get anyone on the phone and they expect you to take off work to get things fixed in the unit because they can not let the vendor in your unit.

Experiencia negativa: Edit: I enjoy reading the negative reviews on this company and not seeing any type of accepting responsibility or suggesting that they will try to improve. Instead, they only come up with excuses, or try to point blame back to the reviewer. They only address issues/concerns that they can dispute to try to discredit the reviewer, but ignore the ones they can't. Be wary of companies that act like this... Do not trust this company with your home. We had renters warehouse for 3 years from 2019-2022 while we were stationed in Hawaii. At first they seemed great. We had tenants sign a 2-year contract, but we're also military and received orders in less than a year. Renters warehouse was responsible for finding new tenants since the original contract wasn't fulfilled. This is where things went south. Renters warehouse found "qualified tenants" who signed a 2 year contract and were the worst. In our contract with renters warehouse, we were allowed 2 "inspections" a year from renters warehouse. We asked for those every six months, and every time everything came back with "no issues found." Fast forward two years when we PCSd back to the area. We had decided that we wanted to sell our home and upgrade. The tenants were coming up on the end of their contract and we had renters warehouse conduct the move-out inspection. They sent us back the results to review, but they said no issues were found and tenants deserve 100% of their security deposit back. Since we were in the area, we decided to go look at the house and prepare to sell. It was a good thing we did! The house was trashed, there were gouges in our drywall from what looks like dragging furniture across it in multiple areas, the carpet upstairs was covered in stains (even in the master closet), a first sized hole was put in the wall in one of the bedrooms and poorly fixed, multiple broken blinds, almost every baseboard around the house had marked lines drawn on it, the kid etched their name in the refrigerator, they had a dog (which was never disclosed as we had a pet fee associated with the contract, and somehow the inspector "never noticed any signs of a dog" when doing the 6-month inspections) that chewed up the woodwork around the fireplace and destroyed the frame of the garage door, holes larger than a quarter remained in the wall, broken pieces of our tile floor in the kitchen, and broken toilet seats. Needless to say that we were unable to list our home for sale in the state that it was in. When we asked renters warehouse how they stated that the tenants had no issues and should receive their safety deposit, they simply stated that it what the inspector said. We told them no, kept all of the safety deposit, and still came out of pocket almost $40K to fix our home. Renters warehouse took no responsibility for providing crap services, but had no problem taking our money. There were good and nice people who worked there, but the company itself doesn't seem to care about your home.

Experiencia negativa: Stay Away from Renters Warehouse Renters Warehouse has proven to be one of the most unprofessional companies I’ve ever dealt with. I was enrolled in their Tenant Exchange Program, hoping it would help me transition out of my lease smoothly, especially with only a few months remaining. Unfortunately, the process was anything but smooth. After I moved out, it took weeks for them to even list the property, and during that time (and still to this very day!), I was still being charged rent despite the fact that they weren’t making an effort to find a new tenant. Their slow approach and lack of marketing led to me continuing to be financially responsible for a property I no longer lived in. To make matters worse, Renters Warehouse is now trying to charge me nearly $4,000 for water damage and cleanliness issues that supposedly existed when I left. This was baffling, given that the initial move-out inspection report noted nothing beyond a couple of blinds and lightbulbs. If this water damage was legitimate, why wasn’t it found during that inspection? It’s especially questionable because the property had ongoing water issues when I first moved in, which they failed to repair effectively even after numerous attempts. Renters Warehouse has shown themselves to be deceitful and greedy, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. P.S. It is also quite obvious that they are buying reviews if you go look at the profile of any of these reviewers.

Experiencia negativa: This company needs to work on customer relations. As with any business, unless you are hiring them, they generally don't care about the customer. This office, however, was particularly frustrating. They took the key from my home twice and told me I would need to send someone out pick it up from the office since no one from the office would be there on the weekend. The first time was a mistake. Someone forgot to leave the key in the lockbox and drove off. They told me that the office would close and they would return it Monday. I was forgiving and opted to tell my friend to pick it up from the office. I live overseas far from my house. I could not make the repairs that renters warehouse needed so I decided to sell. After informing renters warehouse, they picked up the lockbox with the key inside after they told me to let them know once the key was removed so they can pick up the lock box. After asking them to deliver the key back, they said the same that no one would be able to bring it back. They even said it was company policy to take the key back to the office. I understand they did not want to waste time since I wouldn't be hiring them, but it's poor relations and will not recommend them. I talked to the manager and they doubled down.

Experiencia negativa: Very unorganized company. They will accept your money but then change your move in date because they need more paperwork filled out. All paperwork should have been filled out prior to accepting deposit/rent. Please keep track and monitor how they do business and save all paperwork. As I wouldn't be surprised if they said they didn't receive something although you sent it. I would do all communication via email/text for proof of business.

Experiencia negativa: Renters Warehouse had Robert Bell come and install a hot water heater at our home a month ago. After realizing he did not install it properly they sent a second plumbing company out, Drain Masters. Drain Masters noticed that the water heater was leaking and made note of it, they said the materials Robert used aren’t what should have been used and they sit too tall for the hot water heater cover to fit over it. They told us to keep an eye on it which we did. Earlier this week we noticed a leak from the hot water heater, we put in a service request. That same day our bathroom sink was leaking and flooded the bathroom floor. He came out yesterday to check both. They sent us invoices claiming it was our fault. Robert Bell wrote that the leak is due to the tenant removing the hot water heater cover, we haven’t touched the cover. We only moved it to clean up all of the water that pooled under it. He also claims that there is 2 inches of space for the connector hoses but he didn’t take into consideration the height of the water heater cover He also claims he ran the sink for 5 minutes and there is no leak, we used the sink last night and this morning and once again the bathroom floor began to flood with the water running. I’m not sure if any other tenants have had Robert Bell work at their home but this man shows up in torn ratty clothing, he looks like they hired him from the street. He left a dirty t shirt that he used to clean up on my kitchen sink. He is not a professional. We have tried getting in touch with renters warehouse multiple times to discuss this entire process and of course no one is able to respond or call back

Experiencia negativa: Updated response: yes, actually I would like a photocopy of the call log. Maybe you can send a copy to all of the other reviewers who say THE SAME EXACT THING about you all not answering the phone. Communication during my tenancy was actually a headache, contrary to your, and yours only, belief. No need to thank me for the original 5 star review because it wasn’t for you. It was for Cindy, whom left your company shortly after she helped us find the property because morally, she didn’t agree with how you ran your business. How do I know? Because, she was the only one that i could get in touch with when you all weren’t answering the phone. So, her words, not mine. The moral of the story still is; you guys suck. Do better. This company will allow owners to take your full deposit and use it to repaint the home and blame you for a paint job that was butched from the beginning. The initial inspection looked the same as the end inspection but that went overlooked. It took them more than 45 days to send a disposition after they took our deposit and I still had to ask for a itemized list of the charges with a letterhead from the company used. When we received the list, they listed charges but still only on a blank page that was clearly typed up by someone with no letterhead to verify anything. Complete scam. Charged us for a microwave disposal when the microwave was not ours, but belonged to the owner in the first place. You’ll never be able to get anyone on the phone so good luck with that. If you’re renting in the Chesapeake, RiverWalk neighborhood specifically, good luck with getting your deposit back from that owner and good luck with getting any interference from Renters Warehouse. Now it makes sense why we kept getting papers taped to the front door about the owner having to report to court for a case between him and his previous tenants. They were correct to sue and we’re in contact with lawyers as I type as well. If I could give zero stars, I would. Wouldn’t recommend to a rat.

Made it clear on my application I had a guarantor for the property, sent in my application while my guarantor was filling out their form, before my guarantor could even finish, my application was denied. So I got charged $60 for an application that wasn’t even finished, and then denied before it was completed. Genuine ripoff, will happily tell all my friends to never do business with this company. Left voicemails, emailed them, and couldn’t even get in touch with an agent. Please call any of their listed numbers, it’s just a directory that leads you further from getting in contact with an agent. What a joke

They were always helpful and attentive, and when I moved out they returned my FULL security deposit back within days. They have far exceeded other rental property companies I have used before. Experiencia negativa: UPDATE: We find it really interesting that we’ve been trying to call Delena and requested a call back on Monday and Tuesday but she still hasn’t called us. Yes we received the email posted below but we are requesting the call because her information isn’t correct. We never requested maintenance due to the temperature upstairs. We were requesting maintenance because our common living area (main bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room) are consistently 77-82 degrees. I find it interesting that we can post a google review and someone can post a response not even an hour later. I would be embarrassed to share that email as it came off VERY unproffesional but from other reviews we have learned that that’s basically how this company is run. We are still waiting on a call back from Delena. We let the company know we would be filing a complaint with the city. We spoke to the city today and they confirmed that the temperature inside our home is not considered acceptable within tenant/landlord agreements and rights. We’ve been renting through this company since March. It’s been one issue after another. The AC, stove and freezer were all broken after moving in. They fixed the stove and replaced the fridge. We still have ongoing AC issues. Delena Tikk has ignored our phone calls and emails requesting a call from her and chose to send another vendor out instead. Our house was been 77-80 degrees 24/7 for the last 2-3 weeks and we were told that it is acceptable and they won’t be replacing the unit. I would avoid renting any home that this company manages if you can.

Experiencia fantástica: I can not say enough about the staff at Renters Warehouse. They all have treated me like family and have helped me and my company grow. Delena checks up on me regularly helps me keep priorities straight and helps me with the app on how to use it more effectively. If I have issues she usually pick up first time of not she will call me back in a short period of time. She's very knowledgeable and makes my life a lot simpler. Marie is another one that is always there for me as well. She puts fires out quickly she's very fair and helpful. Easy to get a hold of a well. She gets things pushed threw for me if I need them. Dennis in accounting is awesome as well. She pays out all she can for me knowing I'm a 1 man band. If ever I have a question about any payments she always responded quickly. Amy is another that has my back when I need it. I just can't give the staff enough praise knowing all they have on there plate and how professional they handle and conduct them selves. This is the only place I've been a sub contractor and have felt like I was part of there team. I try to be there for then as they are for me. Experiencia fantástica: This guys are amazing. Our experience with Renters Warehouse was awesome from very beginning until so far. I want especially to express our gratitude to Marco (and his boss as well). Marco is best example of Great Customer Service! He was very friendly, professional, always in contact, answering calls/texts or calling back always making sure that all our questions or concerns were answered. And he did all his best to get us approved as soon as possible. Didn’t expect that our application will be viewed so fast and we would be approved just next day! That is fantastic! We strongly recommend this company! P.S. And for those who has any doubts about application through Findigs. We also searched initially and found some negative reviews or concerns about this site or concerns about linking your bank account or payroll. Just talked to other property managing companies and found out that they also used the similar programs and there was no concern. So we applied through it. Don’t be afraid to use it, there is no way to take control of your account or savings!

Experiencia negativa: My husband and I have lived in our rental property for 2.5 years now. Since moving in, we have had nothing but issues with this rental company. On numerous occasions we have expressed concerns about various things going on in our rental property. We have been given the go-around, downright ignored, or treated like we were incompetent. When an issue really mattered to them, they made sure to respond to it (i.e. leaky dishwasher). Mind you, that took three different times to truly fix. It took someone MONTHS to come out and replace the rotting post that were holding up the front of our house, after numerous attempts to contact someone, they got tired of hearing from me and sent someone out. I sent them a 16 page document with pictures of issues we needed fixed ASAP, they sent the most incompetent maintenance personnel I have ever met. The caulking needed to be redone on our tub, and not even two weeks later it started peeling off. Since then, they have tacked on a “$125 recaulking” fee to our account. They have added fees to it every month because we refuse to pay something that has nothing to do with us, and everything to do with someone who does not know how to do their job. Now they are saying they sent us an invoice regarding the issue when in fact my husband and I have combed through every email (we keep all correspondence between us and this company), and there was nothing. They didn’t even tack this invoice on our account, and they refuse to pick up the phone and call us back. Now they are wanting us to renew our lease, and only want everything in writing. We have made it abundantly clear that there will be NOTHING in writing, and for them to call us. They have refused to call us. DO NOT EVER RENT FROM THIS UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY!!! If I could give zero stars, I would! _______________________________________ Let’s add to my previous review! We received a notice to vacate the property this morning, which is fine because we were planning on moving anyway. But before anyone plans to rent any houses from this horrible company, let me show you what they take out of your security deposit. AND if you turn your lights off before you move out, they call on your behalf and have them turned back on. This is just a warning before anyone thinks about renting from this company!

Experiencia negativa: Edit in response to owner's answer: It's nice to finally hear some sort of response to the concerns we've been having, but the fact of the matter is that you only touched on the maintenance items and did not once say anything about the communication issues going on. I can't understand why it takes a matter of hours to get a response to a bad Google review yet it's been a matter of weeks and we still can't talk to someone. Some of the things you've said, are not the same as what we were told by the maintenance coordinator or what we experienced in direct contact with the vendor that came out, which is yet another point of proof as to why there seems to be a clear lack of communication here. We just want to talk to someone. Please have a manager call us. ----------------------- My roommate and I have been having an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience with Renters Warehouse and their maintenance coordinator. We had been having issues with the heating system where it would turn on every couple of minutes even when it was at the set temperature, which caused us to get insanely high energy bills. We had to have vendors come out multiple times to continue fixing the issue and other maintenance problems that were exacerbating that issue. I had sent a frustrated email to the maintenance coordinator after receiving one of those high energy bills because they had canceled our heating maintenance request without consulting us and there was obviously a big issue still going on. Since then, the coordinator has been curt and snippy with us. The heat issue seems to be working better at this point, but we can't tell for sure whether it's fixed because of the other related issues we reported that are just now being worked on months later. The big issue is that during that whole process and even now, we were dealing with a huge lack of communication. We constantly had to reach out to ask what the status of maintenance requests were, why we weren't hearing back after a vendor came to do an estimate, what was going on period. That is not our job as tenants. On top of that, we were charged a fee for a vendor coming out, the reason being there were "no issues found," but that was completely false -- the breaker for the heating system was tripping multiple times within a couple hours after the vendor added a part to the system, which should absolutely not be happening (and the vendor agreed) and was noted in our email to the maintenance coordinator. After they added the charge to our account -- without ever even discussing it or notifying us -- we told them that we should not be charged and they made us fill out a dispute form and provide evidence, which would then go to a committee to review and make a final decision. It ends up that "committee" is simply the owner, who would of course have a biased opinion since they wouldn't want to pay the fees, and our dispute was denied. We are not being provided with the reason behind the denial, which we have every right to know as was part of the form that the reviewing party was supposed to fill out. When we requested the reason, the maintenance coordinator was very dismissive, repeating how "the decision is final." Since then, we have tried multiple times through both email and phone call to speak to a manager to discuss the concerns we've been having and have yet to hear back despite being told our request has been "escalated." We do not by any means want to have to have people coming to the house for these maintenance visits and it is actually pretty frustrating that it's had to happen so many times, but we certainly do not want to be paying a ridiculous amount for utilities, especially considering how insane rent is nowadays. What with how we've been being treated and communicated with (or not communicated with), it feels like we're being viewed as annoying tenants who are trying to nitpick and find issues to complain about. The fact that we can't even get in touch with a manager after numerous attempts says quite a bit about this company and how they work with their tenants.

If I have issues or trouble scheduling she reaches out to the tenants quickly for me. She sends me a weekly report if open jobs to help me with my schedule abs to keep up with my jobs. Experiencia negativa: Had a terrible experience with the website and the company when I was applying for a rental home. Everything is automated and I would try to reach out to them on multiple occasions to inquire about the property and my dog. They kept responding with auto texts and emails to apply or view the home. I like the ease of self-showing the property but the customer service side was terrible. I submitted an application and paid the fee for them to send me an email the next day that the property was no longer avail when my app status stated pending for 2 days. When I called about this the outsourced application site approved my app and said I can use the app for another property and no refund was avail. I attempted to get a refund as there were no other properties that I was interested in renting from them. If you like human contact and good customer service, this isn’t the rental place to use.

Experiencia fantástica: From a Renter: Renters Warehouse has been good to us. We only rented for a short period of time, before our rental was moved to The Real Estate Group. Renters Warehouse provided a fast and easy app to pay your rent. The easy to schedule self-viewings is absolutely awesome, they were easy to work with when we added on pets to our lease, and they have an easy to use maintenance request service. If you were charged for services, it means it was out of your time window for the rental, or the owner of the property pays little to nothing in repairs. We are relatively low income renters, but our place was managed well. Our lease was easy to sign and we we’re able to get moved in quick! We have noticed some serious changes since Renters Warehouse was no longer the property managers. Lack of contact, loss of ease to pay rent, not getting our rent pay until the 1st or later, and the lawn gets out of control. Renters Warehouse was consistently on time. As renters, we take care of our place and want to feel as at home as possible. When our stove was broken, they came out to fix it free of charge. On the app, they have easy to schedule maintenance request. And we were dealing with some power issues in our house, which renters Warehouse sent techs out 3 times to fix. I see these things as positives, as they understood the nature of how important is was that we were having power issues. They do have a 24/7 line, and the people were perfectly nice to me. Anyone having issues with their service, I chalk this up to the owners of property refusing to pay for service, and I can’t blame a rental management company for poor conditions of home. Regardless, they provide a good service to both tenants and homeowners and rent is affordable. On top of this, I’m not sure how you could ask for more to have an easy to use service, quick response time on maintenance, and easy to add addendums. Also, working with Marco is usually a breeze, he’s straight forward and is simply doing his job. He doesn’t beat around the bush and worked later getting our lease together.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an excellent experience working with Cassie Parker. She stuck with me for over 6 months and was incredibly responsive despite my foot-dragging all that time. They provided comprehensive breakdowns regarding the rental market and several options to choose from. It's a very difficult decision but all the info. and support they provide, helps make it a lot smoother. Definitely recommend reaching out to them if you're considering renting your house, etc.

Experiencia negativa: Honest review: Hard to get a person on the phone at Renter's Warehouse. My rental home is in bad condition. In 9 months, hot water heater blew out (completely corroded inside so owner did not take care of), roof leak in master bedroom, electrical outlet for dryer blew up, clogged drain line under house, and when I moved in there was a soaked water spot under sink which I reported (had photo evidence). Renter's Warehouse charged ME for plumber since they did not find an obvious leak. I was also just charged $267 for the clogged drain! I asked if the lines were cleared before I moved in but they could not answer, so I am responsible for other tenants sediment build up. Trim on house falling off, house tilts in front, and rusted out porch light has sharp edges that are a hazard. Oh, and they left a large truck tire in yard when I moved in. I will never rent from Renter's Warehouse again. I have never had issues like this from any rental I have been in. My advice, think twice about this company and read your lease extra carefully. I have no issues with the staff, but the company is shady in my opinion. Reply to Renter's Warehouse comments: You did answer the phone today which is expected customer service. I haven't called you in the last 60 days and there have been numerous times where you do NOT answer the phone. It is one thing to "close out" my maintenance tickets but you failed to address charges I had to pay for. As to the vendor and toilet paper build up, I watched the plumber snake the outside drain and it took quite awhile. He had to do it repeatedly and there was no back up of toilet paper that came out by the way. You may not own the home but you represent the owner and should use that influence but instead have policy/lease rules that clearly favor the owner and not the tenant. For example, you stated I am responsible for clogged pipes, but could not tell me if the pipes were cleaned prior to me moving in! If you are going to make a tenant responsible for drain pipes then you have a responsibility to ensure the pipes are CLEANED when I move in so I am not responsible for previous tenants' pipe usage and build up. I realize you just work there and do not make corporate policy but my criticism still stands.

Russell adhered to the National Association of Residential Property Management (NARPM) standards and greatly exceeded our expectations by improving and leasing out our property to a family who became long-term tenants, vacating upon our request in 2022 such that we could sell the property. During those years, Russell keenly advised us on property maintenance and excelled at the art of keeping the tenants happy in a safe and comfortable home. Also, Russell grew the company and hired an outstanding operations chief, Amy Delacruz who seamlessly led Russell's enlarging team to keep myriad owners and tenants well served. In summer 2022, assistant broker Angelique Bolton led us through a detailed process to ready the property for market and got us a fair price during the rampdown of the COVID housing boom. While we typically favor smaller management companies with only one or two points of contact, Renters Warehouse delivered great value by doing an above average job of management at a below average cost over the life of our relationship. We are especially grateful to Russell, Amy and Angelique, and the support of the entire Renters Warehouse team!

Experiencia fantástica: Been renting my condo for 4 years now through Renters Warehouse and they make it seamless. If there’s an issue, if it’s under a certain price point they let me know that a work order has been placed, and the money comes out of that months rent check. If it’s over our agreed price point, we discuss it and go from there. They ALWAYS give you the option to find someone else if you’d like, or to just let them handle it. They take care of EVERYTHING. If there’s ever a weird situation with my tenant (and there rarely is because their tenant screening is pretty great) they handle it. I live my life elsewhere in the country and don’t even worry about the home anymore. The entire team is very responsive through emails or phone calls. I am so happy with this company and would recommend them to everyone I know.

I had them as my management team for several years and recently sold my property. Amy Delacruz was my agent, answered all my questions during this process, she even worked with getting quotes on work needing complete reduced. Experiencia negativa: After moving from Florida, the first apartment I moved into in VA was managed by Renters Warehouse. The initial process of signing the lease and communicating with the staff was pretty smooth. However, as soon as we moved in, we realized that the washer/dryer unit did not work. It took the company over two months to attempt to fix it, which ended up with a replacement of the unit after constantly asking about the issue. It was an older building so there were naturally many problems. The company was typically pretty efficient when it came to solving the other maintenance issues. The main issue and the reason why I would never rent from them again was the move out/security deposit. I've been renting for over 7 years and have never had not only my entire deposit kept, but also charged an additional $800. I went back and forth with the company via email for several weeks and eventually, I logged into my old portal and saw that I only owed half of that amount. Instead of telling me the truth (that the other tenant paid that half), they lied and said the owner decided to forgive that half. I was ready to take the other tenant to court and would have, if I didn't pester the company about receiving accurate information. This was not only incredibly unprofessional, but also inconsiderate. Whomever gave me this information, let me just say that this is quite literally your job. Your time is no more valuable than mine. I implore you to fact check yourself prior to giving out information, especially to do with money.

Experiencia negativa: I would not rent from them again unless I was hard-pressed. During our time there (two years), there were plenty of maintenance issues and accompanying complications: (1) We asked for the dryer to be repaired (turns out the issues went far beyond just the dryer), and it took about a month for someone to come out because Renters failed to contact the vendor even though they had told me they had done so. I lost about two weeks because of that. (2) Somehow a metal piece toward the top of the house came loose (where even an 18-foot ladder would not reach!), and with the strong winds, it banged outside my bedroom's window, making it so I could not study nor sleep. I put in for an expedited request, and it took WEEKS for someone to come. (3) The toilet stopped working and although a vendor came out quickly to remedy the issue, it took several times of communicating with Renters over a couple of weeks for the bill to be paid. And that wasn't all: (1) We had an issue with having a lot of wasps in the home during October both years, and Renters indicated they would do nothing to take care of it--it was all on us, as per the lease. (2) Upon moving out, they only refunded half of our security deposit. About 1/2 of what they withheld was justified, but not the other 1/2. They claimed the "shrubbery and exterior areas were not left in the same condition as upon taking possession," yet I paid for everything to be mowed right before leaving the home. It seems arbitrary and they attached no photos as proof of what they claim. If you do decide to rent with them, just be sure to stay on top of maintenance requests and take photos of everything before you leave, so they cannot say you left something in worse condition than when you first got there.

Experiencia fantástica: Renters Warehouse has been nothing but stellar! Angelique and team find great tenants, while Samantha and team cover maintenance and anything else the tenant might need post move-in. Recently, there was water leaking from another unit into the walls of other units, including my rental, and Samantha and team got with not only the owners of each unit but with their property management teams to find a solution! I was updated the entire way and everything was extremely thorough and documented. I've had RW for several years now and that's going to continue for the foreseeable future. Absolute above and beyond service!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely HORRIBLE renting management. Had a huge water leak at our home for months, they sent three plumbers out who made the issue worse. my water bill was well over $2,000 over the course of 3 months!! we spoke to the water company, city of suffolk, etc. renters warehouse refused to reimburse me $1,500 saying that they “aren’t responsible for excessive utility usage”. IT WAS A HUGE WATER LEAK coming from a toilet that had a flapper installed improperly, and had no signs that it was running. Secondly, they never notified us that they’re no longer managing our property and that it was turned over to the landlord to handle. I emailed them, asking why we were never notified of this and they never bothered to email me back. Also told our landlord that they were never going to let us know of the change, or that the home is being listed for sale. Run far away from this company. Horrible people and horrible managing. All they want is your money.

They work with you when you're in a rut and honestly communicate. And if one isn't available, someone else will pick up where they left off. They never leave us hanging. He sent out one of his team members, Ryan, who was absolutely wonderful. They were quick and responsive. Ryan was so kind and knowledgeable and fixed the issue without a problem. Experiencia fantástica: Since renting with Renters Warehouse I have had no issues with my house which has been great! But just recently I had my first problem with my refrigerator which could cause lots of problems with my food. Carlos Jerez from Renters Warehouse has been the best help I’ve experienced with renting here in Va. He has helped to resolve my issue and checking to be sure that he is doing all he can to fix it. Experiencia fantástica: After meeting with several property managers, i chose Sam Dickson, he is so professional and hands on. He really enjoys doing his job and is amazing at it. Cassie assisted my wife and I in assessing our house as a rental property, provided us with her personal contractor to complete some much needed projects, and ultimately assisted us in selling our property - all this while working through time zone difference between Virginia and Hawaii! Experiencia fantástica: We had a AC unit issue and contacted our vendor to take a look at the issue. After many failed attempts at fixing the issues they told us to replace the unit. We asked both Carlos Jerez and Amy Delacruz to dispatch the organization's vendor. Renters Warehouse's vendor responded quickly and giving us a estimated quote and solution within 24 hours. Their vendor even found out that our unit was still under warranty even though we have been told numerous times by outside vendors that it was not. With Carlos and Amy's responsive actions they saved us a large amount of money, while ensuring our tenants are taken care of.

Experiencia fantástica: All dealings with Renters Warehouse since initial query for housing has been met with prompt responses from the Chesapeake office. Ms. Delacruz attention to detail in coordinating and follow up with the property owner for move in accommodations as well as maintenance needs has been top notch. Our anxieties of renting a house were put at ease through her professional handling. As the owner's representative we sensed our concerns were addressed as well.

Experiencia fantástica: My Maintainance Coordinator Carlos is awesome. I had an issue with my washer and dryer. The owner wanted me to pay to repair it in my first week living there which I refused so I was allowed to purchase my own and Carlos made sure to get the broken ones out ASAP and on short notice. Thank you Carlos! He also takes care of any work orders in a very timely manor.
