Experiencia fantástica: Select Villas have been working incredibly hard during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide buyers and vendors with the best online information possible in the absence of actual potential buyer inspections. A new innovation is the 360 degrees tour which allows for an overall walk through a property and the ability to view any room and garden from all angles. As a vendor I applaud this initiative which provides as close to a live viewing as possible. This allows buyers a more comprehensive view of a property in their property deliberation process. Attached are a couple of screen shots of our property for information.

From the initial viewing to the actual purchase, I have never experienced anything easier. The staff are absolutely fantastic. We had dealings with Julie, Sarah and Karen who guided us every step of the way. We viewed a number of properties and the one we chose was signed, sealed and delivered within 12 weeks. The team had all the contacts to hand, and although I am not a fan of using a solicitor recommended by the agent, on this occasion it was the right thing to do. A particular thank you to Sarah and Karen for sorting out a slight hiccup which we encountered during the final stage. They certainly pulled out all the stops in ensuring everything went to plan. Experiencia negativa: Si deciden comprar algún inmueble en esta agencia inmobiliaria, tengan en cuenta que esta agencia no es ética ni profesional, y hemos tenido una experiencia nefasta con Julia. Estábamos muy ilusionados con un dúplex y cuando presentamos oferta en firme, Julia nos llama porque el propietario ha aceptado nuestra oferta y nos da la enhorabuena. Acto seguido, cuando mi marido la llama para hacer la transferencia del depósito de reserva, Júlia le dice que otro interesado acaba de ofertar 250 euros más y que le venden la casa a él. Aceptar una oferta constituye un acto legal y éticamente vinculante. Y cuando mi marido le dice esto, empiezan a dar todo tipo de explicaciones contradictorias sobre lo sucedido, entre ellas que el otro propietario no necesitaba hipoteca y nosotros sí.... lo cual es algo que para ellos debe ser indiferente, máxime teniendo en cuenta que nosotros teníamos la hipoteca pre aprobada. Muy feo y muy poco profesional. Ya estaba comprometido además que antes de dos horas íbamos a ingresar la señal. Para nosotros era una gran ilusión ese duplex, incluso habíamos ido con mi cuñado, arquitecto, para que comprobara la calidad de la construcción , .... En fin, que nos hemos quedado de piedra con el modo de actuar de esta persona. Desde luego cero empatía con el cliente, además de cero profesionalidad. Tengan cuidado si tienen mucha ilusión por conseguir una casa de verano y no les sobra el dinero. Cómo aparezca otro con el botín en cash están perdidos aunque su oferta haya sido ya aceptada. Ese es el modo de actuar que tienen.

Experiencia fantástica: If you’re looking for a property in Spain, stop scouring unreliable real estate ads and come and see the Linda & Chris Garwood and their wonderful staff at Select Villas in Moraira. As two confused Australians, we arrived in Spain ill-equipped and uninformed with a thirty-day Visa and little idea about all the red tape ahead of us. Everyone at Select-Villas was amazing, supportive and patient with us, going as far as vouching for us so that we could obtain a temporary empandronimento from the town hall. They introduced us to legal people who gave us every assistance in buying a property, registering our NIE and obtaining our one-year residency certificate. Select-Villas is a safe harbour in a real-estate storm and while there could be some pitfalls if you choose the wrong agency, you’ll never go wrong with Select Villas. Although she may have been quietly tearing out her hair, Sarah, our agent, never gave up on us, answered all manner of peculiar questions about moving walls and doors and went above and beyond in showing us properties according to our budget and requirements. When we had structural queries about a building, SV provided an engineer to advise us. When our sale was stalled due to the Town Hall, SV persevered even though they had seen no income. When we had to wait for building changes to be completed, SV directed us to temporary accommodation. The team at Select Villas assisted with translation, let us use their photocopier and fax machine, and always smiled patiently when we popped in with another stupid question, like, can you recommend an English-speaking doctor. The kindness and professionalism of everyone connected with Select Villas made what could have been a harrowing experience a smooth transition to one of the most beautiful locations in Spain, and the ideal property for us. We had three agents view the villa and Select were the ones that felt right. They were not pushy but gave us confidence right from the start. Not being in Spain we were totally reliant on them and they kept us fully informed of all the viewings together with any feedback. All the staff are really friendly and helpful and there was a number of different nationalities viewing so they obviously have a good distribution network.
