Negative experience: This company is a complete waste of money. John Mackenzie and his team provide zero value to our community at Stardust Ranch. The only role they play is middle man pertaining to communication and they are horrific. I’ve called to speak directly to our account representative a dozen times, not once did she answer or return my calls, same goes for John the president of the company. Our HOA is just as bad and you would expect for an HOA management company to help sort out challenges and guide the HOA board and ACC members in the right direction but no such thing has occurred. Same old routine, wasting the residents time when they are the ones paying for this company to represent them. This company better realize quickly whose paying them. In response to Secure Association Managements response: We are now over 6 months in on a conversation about a building that has 4 walls, I'm way beyond frustrated. You are not actively working with all parties involved because it's now been a week that I've been waiting for an answer to my last email. And this is the 3rd or 4th time I've waited a week or more for an email response. Maybe focus on supporting your customers before responding to google reviews. Hahaha! You show no missed calls!?!? That is the biggest lie and just shows how poorly your company operates. Go look at the responses to my facebook videos and you'll see how many people agree with my comments about your companies communication. You remain committed to maintaining communication?? You have no idea how to communicate because if you did, this project would have been over months ago.

We understand that this process has been frustrating for you. Our role as the management company is to carry out the direction, processes, and decisions established by the Association’s Governing Documents. We are not authorized to make decisions on behalf of the ACC or Board, nor can we instruct committee members on how to vote on applications or matters before them.
That said, we are actively working with all parties involved to meet as quickly as possible and identify a more productive path forward for everyone involved.
We also want to clarify that we have reviewed our communication logs internally. Our records show that all email correspondence received was responded to, our owner did return your phone call, your previous account manager does not currently show any missed calls or voicemails from your number, and your current manager has spoken with you by phone on multiple occasions regarding these concerns.
We understand not every situation results in the outcome a homeowner may hope for, but we remain committed to maintaining communication, following the governing process established by the Association, and working toward constructive resolutions whenever possible.

Negative experience: Disappointed and frustrating to work with. No oversight of services they are obligated to provide. If you want that service you must reach out over and over again. They take zero accountability for it. This is how they keep our landscaping. It’s the only thing we get for $1500 a year.

Negative experience: Poor leadership and lack of communication.
Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with the statement regarding leadership and communication, as all calls and emails related to this matter were responded to and the Association’s decision was clearly communicated and explained.
The Board made the decision not to allow political signage within the common areas of the community. This policy is applied consistently and is unrelated to any specific political affiliation or viewpoint. While we understand you may disagree with the outcome, the matter was addressed directly and transparently.
Fantastic experience: Secure Management has been great to work with. Tammie Grimm and the team are professional, responsive, and always willing to help when needed. They handle everything efficiently and make the process smooth and stress-free. Communication is clear, and any questions or concerns are addressed quickly. Fantastic experience: We have been working with Tate Tomlin at Secure as our association manager and we have been so happy with working with him! He is thorough, follows through, doesn't lose track of things for the most part and even takes the initiative to solve problems we are unaware of and then brings us solutions. Fantastic experience: I want to recognize Tate at Secure Association Management for the help he provided with a recent ARC request for a roof replacement in our neighborhood. This was a very time-sensitive situation tied to an active home sale, and Tate was consistently responsive, professional, and helpful throughout the process. He took multiple calls and emails, stayed in contact with the ARC, and clearly made a real effort to help move the request along as quickly as possible. Our HOA process allows much longer review timelines, and we were asking for turnaround in just a matter of days. Tate could have simply pointed back to the standard process, but instead he understood the situation and went above and beyond to help however he could. While the approval still came later than we had hoped, that was not due to Tate or Secure Association Management. In my view, his efforts were a big reason the delay was limited at all. I really appreciate the professionalism, responsiveness, and extra effort.

We’re glad we were able to identify the issue with your login and get it resolved. It appears the difficulty accessing your account was due to an incorrect email address being used during registration. Once the correct email address you had originally registered with was used, access was successfully restored.
Over the past few months, our team made several attempts to assist, including reaching out multiple times (six total) regarding your balance, offering a payment plan, and even pulling the account back from the attorney at no charge to allow additional time to resolve the matter. Unfortunately, we did not receive a response.
We also want to note that the payment plan submitted was not approved because it did not include the January assessment.

Fantastic experience: Our HOA has used Secure Management for several years and I have worked directly with them for the last 3 years while serving on the board for our local homeowners association. Recently we were assigned Brandy as our HOA manager. Brandy consistently excels at her role. She has done so many concrete things to help improve our neighborhood. Some of them include getting us a better deal on our insurance, helping us select a new landscaping company that will save us money, bringing in electricians to get gate lights fixed that have been broken forever, and even going way above to help us with Oncor fixing street lights. She is always putting her clients first, ensuring we are able to improve our community. We completely trust her and highly recommend Brandy.

Negative experience: The worst management company I have ever seen. Fined me $26,000 in a month for having a fence the exact same color as the HOAs fence. The employees are completely rude and incompetent repeatedly hanging up on me and refusing to address my concerns. They can hang up on me all day but they will have to answer in court.
Fantastic experience: I’ve had a very positive experience working with Secure Association Management, and I can confidently say they are a professional, responsive, and well-organized HOA management company. Our community representative, Sierra Gates, has been outstanding. She is knowledgeable, approachable, and consistently responsive. Sierra takes the time to listen, follows through on concerns, and communicates clearly. Her attention to detail and commitment to the community play a big role in maintaining the high standards that keep our neighborhood looking so beautiful and well cared for. I’d also like to recognize Jessie Williams, Director of Operations, whose leadership is clearly reflected in how smoothly everything runs. The consistency, organization, and proactive management across the association are evident throughout the community and contribute directly to the clean, attractive, and welcoming appearance of our neighborhood. Because of Secure Association Management’s efforts, our neighborhood continues to be a place residents are proud to call home. I highly recommend them to any community looking for reliable, high-quality HOA management.

There are rats in the walls and I'm having a problem with getting help. Also, I asked when the roof was last done for insurance purposes and still haven't gotten a reply.....

Negative experience: Absolutely awful. It was better when we had Tate but since William has taken over it has gone down hill. He will ignore you for weeks and when you're able to get a hold of him and schedule maintenance on the exterior or pest control he'll only do it half way. Multiple times he'd "confirmed" a time only for no one to show up and for him to be unresponsive (both week day and weekend). He usually come back saying "of they got into an accident and thats why they didn't show up". I've spoken to all of them afterwards and they had no idea what "accident" I was referring to. Its distasteful that he fabricates accidents for people to cover his lack of coordination. I've wasted weekends and PTO due to his lack of coordination and responsibility. Wasted HOA fees $$$ + PTO $$$. This is an expensive company that will waste your time.

Fantastic experience: I want to emphasize that I do not give recommendations lightly. However, I wholeheartedly recommend Secure Management without any hesitation due to the excellent service and dedication we have received from them since our first interaction. From day one, we have experienced nothing less than five-star service. Compared to other management companies we have worked with in the past, the difference is truly night and day. Emails, calls, and texts are answered within hours, if not immediately. Any maintenance concerns are addressed quickly, with bids sent to us within hours or, at most, days. I personally went on a ride-along with the compliance team to discuss our association’s priorities. I feel the compliance team is dedicated to understanding and working with our neighborhood to meet our desires, tailoring their criteria and violation assessments to align with the board’s vision for our community. Collections have also been managed in a personalized manner, with the board working closely with Taylor on how we handle past due accounts, payment plans, and other accounting aspects. I can honestly say that I have no complaints about the service we have received from Secure, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking a new management company. We have received exemplary service, timely responses, and a very personalized experience. Additionally, my interactions with both John (the owner) and Taylor (our property manager) have been friendly and more like a partnership than we have experienced elsewhere. After a series of failed projects and unforeseen issues with our pool this year, I can confidently say that Taylor has been a tremendous asset. She has handled everything we’ve thrown at her—trust me, it has been a considerable amount—with remarkable skill. I genuinely don’t know how she manages to work so efficiently and makes the process so straightforward for us. We are a very involved and hands-on board, paying close attention to every penny spent, every bid submitted, and every violation issued. I can sincerely say that switching to Secure has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our community during my seven years on the board.
