Fantastic experience: Moving in was very easy, the staff is very friendly and all the lease and document signing was all pretty standard stuff, moving in i had noted a few things that needed to be fixed and the staff called me back and got matainance scheduled next morning to come out, only a few days in but im very pleased with my space and the appliances were all brand new too

Fantastic experience: The person who came to fix my outlet, Bob, was very friendly and knew what to do. It took awhile to connect with Goebel's office to get a time set up for him to come. I don't know why they can't seem to get through to me on my phone. As far as getting my new outlet, that was fine. Bob did a good job. This time we had someone come to fix our toilet. I don't remember his name. He was very professional and did a good job fixing the problem with the toilet right away. This time our toilet was clogged. My only complaint was that we had to wait almost the whole day to get it fixed. Once he came he was able to fix it. There was some kind of plastic in the toilet. I had no idea how that got there. It wasn't anything I put there. I am just glad it got fixed. Things are back to normal now. This time we got our sink fixtures fixed. The 2 guys who did that were very efficient and friendly. They cleaned up the mess from the old fixture and they left me with a working faucet that didn't leak! I was very happy about that.

Negative experience: Very disappointed in the response to this winter storm by GOEBEL. There has been no clearing of the snow and ice today. I see workers clearing at other apartment complexes but not at Kenzi (luxury) Estates. We had to get to work today and will have to get to work tomorrow. It is very difficult to get in the entrance to our homes as everything is uphill. You would think a company this large would have their own equipment for times like this. THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO TAKE CARE OF! Oh, and by the way the after hours answering service is worthless, can’t even pass on a message.

Fantastic experience: I called to have a service done thinking it would take at least 1-3 days— well, I was completely wrong! They had everything fixed and done before I got home from work… more like 1-3 hours! Goebel is always so friendly and helpful. I’ve been renting with them going on two years and have had zero complaints. They are always customer driven providing quality service & needs for their tenants!!

Negative experience: Charged over 140 for 1 little hole in the wall. A disabled man on a fixed income lives here. It didn't even take them 30 min to fix it but 140 for real is a lot for a small hole that I could have fixed my self. Not to mention the neighbors threw out old mattress which we have had to look at for months.

Negative experience: Do not stay at bank lofts in boonville. They charge way too much for what you get and will squeeze every dime out of you. Avoid it like the plague. One neighbor got charged $350 to replace a screw on their mailbox, a mailbox not even worth 30$. A wooden beam from outside the building also hit their car- could've hurt someone. You have to pay $3.25 to do one load of laundry. They only provide water and trash. You still have to pay wifi and electricity. You pay nearly $700 a month and you don't even get a dishwasher, a disposal, a bathtub, and the fridge is small and doesn't keep things cold. There's a leak above the shower from the upper neighbors they still haven't fixed. They expect the apartment to look brand new when you leave and charge $10 for every fingerprint or piece of hair they find. Overall, terrible company, would never work with them again and please absolutely do not consider them. They are money hungry and will take every penny you have.

Negative experience: I would give zero Stars if I could, let me start off by saying they do not and I mean do not fix anything they want to come for a last minute inspection and come inspect and write down what all needs to be fixed and then nothing is ever done our roof on our house needs to be replaced the bathroom roof has fell through some and is leaking and there's multiple other places in the house where the roof is eventually going to fall through on top of many other things that need to be repaired as well and let me say they are quick to up your rent suddenly and then when your one day late on rent they want to take you for eviction, it is by far the worst experience from renting from a realty company. I could go on and on but I won't I think that's enough said.

Positive experience: Absolutely love the charm of the Colonial - my only wish is there would be a more user friendly way of entering the main door. With only able to have two keys it’s hard being a single parent with multiple family members to help out and constantly thinking about the key situation or worrying my daughter will accidentally go out with out the key and get locked out. Maybe installing key card or individual codes to get in that can be easily changed when tenants move out? We do love the location and believe we will be happy there!

Positive experience: Still waiting for the garage opener issue. Will not go down (with remote or button in the wall) most of the time. The only way to get the door down is to hold the button on the wall inside. So when you leave you have to pull vehicle out, go inside to hold the button then leave through the front door. Cameron tried to adjust by using the knobs on back of motor and he greases the chain and rollers. Still not fixed. He stated he would let you know it’s not fixed. I’m still waiting on response.

Negative experience: If there was a 0, I would give it to them. This is the most dishonest management company. I would be happy to paste my monthly statements and what they would charge me as my management company. They charged me several times over 900$ to move a radiator a few feet. They sucked out every dollar the property had. When I would try to speak to billing they wouldn't get back, only once I told them enough is enough and I am leaving them, is when they called me back. Also the owner, told me there would be a $1500 charge for leaving early WHICH WAS NOT IN THE CONTRACT. After I had to go back and forth he agreed to leave it as it, but not after charging me outrageous maintenance charges for the last month. It took them over 5 months to renovate an apartment which was just a few hundred square feet of flooring along with painting which they still didn't rent out for me. Bottom line, avoid them, please, do not entertain the idea of having them manage your property.

Negative experience: The move out from this apartment complex managed by Goebel Commercial Reality Inc. was terrible, no scheduled walkthrough, no communication or instructions for hands-off, and everything had to be done in person or by live check, super inconvenient and hard to follow steps, in addition to a disturbing experience of the apartment complex and unsafety of the environments and poor selection of tenants. I had to rent an apartment for a short-term period and i won't recommend this management company or the Newburgh court apartment to any tenant looking for a nice apartment to call it home.

Negative experience: Not happy at all with their lack of HOA service management. I have been dealing with the same continual issues in our neighborhood for the last 15 months. I continue to receive the same responses over and over again about how the homeowners association is trying to figure out what to do and they are exploring options. There comes a point in time of accountability and finality. I have heard from goebel many times that there's a lot involved in getting people not to park their car overnight in the street as it is listed in the homeowners association agreement that you are not allowed to do so. There has been no visible action taken to stop the neighbors from breaking the policy. My true issue is is that I'm paying my yearly dues and not getting what I am paying for. All I am getting is excuses as to why they're having a hard time figuring out what to do. The real issue in my opinion is the homeowners association does not want to spend the money to lawyer up on these neighbors for being out of compliance for months on end. The entire homeowners association process is a scam in my opinion and this alone validates that. all I'm doing is handing away money for people to be able to violate the bylaws of the agreement. I do not recommend global realty and I definitely do not recommend anyone purchase a home in an HOA neighborhood.

Positive experience: Meh. When you are shielded from being able to speak to the owners or maintenance and can only deal with the managers who don't listen and treat you like you're a teen with no housing or life experience (issues with fixing building cable issues they wanted me to pay for, still having to turn my hot water all the way on for a warm shower after being told I must take long showers - um immediately after turning it on?! etc), it doesn't impress. I've lived and rented in many states, and this area is not tenant friendly. So just meh.

Positive experience: Paul Revere apartments are located on Lincoln Avenue in evansville. There are only 12 units so it is quiet. The neighborhood has good people. For those who don't want to do a lot of cleaning for a large place Paul Revere is just right as it is not too big nor too small. The grounds are kept groomed. The laundry room is conveniently located. And there is always a nice Southern breeze coming down our back driveway. Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I’m not entirely sure why Goebel has such a bad rep. We had minimal issues while living in one of their duplexes for 3years and any issue that came up, they handled professionally and quickly. There was only one issue that was upsetting but it was resolved as fast as they could. I feel like as long as you turn in your maintenance issues and keep the place you’re calling home clean and presentable, then there are no issues. I appreciate Dedra for doing her best while we lived at one of their residences they maintain.

Fantastic experience: It started out confusing because they were in the middle of a website update so it was a bit confusing for everyone but the gal working the application desk was pretty patient with me being the confused person I was and helped to find me another apartment to apply for. Negative experience: Today a maintenance mans shows up at my house telling me he is cutting off part of my tree (he was not wearing a uniform not did he say who he worked for. They city told me this). I own my property. I was given no warning that that this was being done. After calling the city of Evansville, Goebel properties was issues a citation of $300 for using unlicensed tree cutters. They cut and damaged my tree. His ladder was also on my property. I have spoken with Dedra and Michelle. I was blamed for them being a fined. I asked for the homeowner to call me and that was never done. Warning to all property owners in Evansville. If they try to run a rental property next to your house they will make up lies and damage your property.

Positive experience: They manage several properties. They lock you into a year lease with no way out other then paying the full amount of the lease, finding someone they approve to take over the lease, or pay them a bunch of money to find someone to take over the lease. They require 2 month move out notice if you're not going to renew the lease. A/c didn't work well and there was a leak that developed from a clogged drain. They you're out the ceiling and never replaced it. The check list for move in/out list is pretty exhaustive and will be interesting if I get my deposit back.

Negative experience: I will for here on out go out of my way to NEVER work with goebel realty. If we’re working with a lawyer make a case against goebel realty for being negligent and refusing to take a name off the lease, that should be enough information to never work with this company. We have two weeks to get a name off the lease. If it doesn’t happen soon, it won’t be fun for either party

Negative experience: Easily one of, if not the worst, experiences I have had with a management company for a property. Michelle who is reported to be a "regional director" appears to have more of a power complex than anything else. I am certain that Goebel may try to write this off as a resident who is just mad and throwing a fit. However, I subleased my apartment and am currently free from the pain of Goebel, living in Sunny South Florida so theres that. None the less from day one it was a battle with this company who tried to over charge me for late fees that were not true. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing here. The West Side office and the East Side office truly have 0 communication. I have an education and kept record of the things that were not true or false charges which eventually led to Michelle being angry. Further more she attempted to retaliate against me by taking TWO week to approve someone to sublease my apartment. She acted as if it was the purchase on a mortgage for a multi million dollar apartment as opposed to the reality of it being an apartment lease in downtown Evansville. If you can avoid this company I'd suggest to avoid it. No one should be treated the way that these people treated me.

Negative experience: Lived here a year and literally don't have a single good thing to say. They let people be loud and obnoxious and dirty. They say they are trying to clean, but the people they move in just seem to get worse and worse. When we moved in Goebel didn't even own the property, and it was dirty when we moved in. We're now being charged for things we didn't even do while we lived there. When doing our move out inspection, I asked the lady to write down the exact amounts they were charging us so they couldn't change it later, and she literally rolled her eyes at me. All I've heard from people who lived here is that Goebel will do anything to take your deposit. We spent hours cleaning this place. They are seriously ridiculous and act like people shouldn't have done anything while living there. She also tried to accuse us of breaking other things on the lease I have proof we didn't. Literally no good experience.

Fantastic experience: In the Evansville area, this is the premium property management company. The staff are professional and timely, and the properties they manage are kept to a higher standard without being more expensive because of it. Negative experience: Rude people who have slummy apartments but expect high dollar rent. i took a friend to see an apartment and wow that company should have a visit from code enforcement..shameful

Negative experience: My wife recently moved out of the newly renovated Colonial building in downtown Evansville. The unit had completely new hardwood, carpet, and new kitchen amenities. We completely cleared out all belongings and performed cleaning upon move out date. 44 days later, we received an itemized list of “cleaning” charges that she owed Goebel. Her $500 deposit was pocketed and on top of that owed $190. The level of expectations for cleaning standards in their “move out guide” (we did not receive to begin with) are that of a professional. “All faucets are to appear in a mirror shine with no trace of water spots,” cleaning a window was a $15 charge, cleaning the stovetop and range was a $45 charge amongst other absurd and unreasonable charges. There was also a $150 charge for professional carpet cleaning due to an “odor of cat urine.” We have a young cat that has not once urinated on the floor and this was all brand new carpet mind you. We were also charged over $100 for deodorizing the “cat urine odor” in the apt. The building is over 100 years old and had a bit of a “funky” smell upon moving in but we simply adjusted. She was paying an additional $20 a month pet fee that was to be assessed for any damages that were a direct cause of having a pet. Even though our cat never made a mess to begin with, we pleaded the $300 she paid in pet fees be assessed to the charges we faced and were told “just because you were paying a pet fee doesn’t mean you don’t owe us for cleaning.” This quite simply does not make any logical sense. Friends and family that I have spoken to have had similar experiences with Goebel as well. I would never recommend anyone consider renting any property from Goebel Realty. Avoid them at all costs, because they are guaranteed to take advantage of you in the end with zero remorse or understanding. They simply do not care.

Fantastic experience: Clean and professional. They take every complaint seriously and strive to fix ALL problems as they arise (our toilet was constantly refilling and they replaced it in less than a week). I highly suggest renting from them. One of they best apartment management companies in Evansville.

Negative experience: Almost all the rental properties listed were overpriced and underkept. They appeared very unprofessional.

Negative experience: House was infested, not insulated, not up to electrical code, uninhabitable for the firsr week. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: Goebel raised rent on all apartments in a complex where my son and his wife lived. They could no longer afford the rent, so they moved out. Goebel sued them three years later for back rent of over $3,500. Another example of the rich taking advantage of and profiting from the poor.

Negative experience: Extremely unresponsive. I have never seen a more complicated rental agreement ~ about 20 pages long ~ including how long a bathroom fan must be kept running FIFTEEN minutes after a shower! Just read one from another local firm, three pages, and has very reasonable terms. I don't know how a renter could leave the property without having the entire deposit being held. Very petty.

Negative experience: Marlin Goebel has screwed my wife and I out of tax money he owes us. He holds an easement over our property & then charges his own brother to farm it And also owed our neighbor tax money for 3 years before he paid him. He owes us for 1.5 years worth & still won't come to our home in person to pay up. Claims to be a Christian. Not so! Guess he doesn't understand the 10th commandment on not coveting your neighbor or anything of your neighbors. Since we are neighbors & live within a mile of him.Wouldnt trust Marlin or suggest anyone do business with him! People refer to him as a slum Lord. He just takes advantage of anyone he can even his family. Greed & money is all he cares about. If it wasn't true he would give up the easements he holds & give the use of the property back to the people that hold title to it. The reviews are true do not trust or do business with this scumbag!

Negative experience: They are worthless. Terrible properties no maintenance or upkeep done on any of them. My bathroom ceiling has leaked water since I moved in a year and a half ago. They towed my car with no notice and are refusing to return it when it was legally placed. Don't rent from here you will regret it.
