Negative experience: Horrible experience payed 50 dollars for a application fee in Less the than 48 hour to find out that the apartment was going to be leased by someone else.. honestly should get my money back

Fantastic experience: I was initially put-off by the amount of automation involved in touring the property, but in retrospect the entire process up to signing a lease was very convenient. The agent, Paola, was extremely helpful and prompt. Jon Boyles in maintenance is likewise fantastic. He is very quick to respond, courteous, friendly, and professional. Jon Boyles helped me out again to replace a bad kitchen faucet. I ended up with a better faucet, the installation was well done, and as always, he was kind and respectful. Also needed some hinges replaced on my cabinet, and he did an excellent job, as per usual.

Positive experience: Maintenance service is great. All business is conducted electronically, which could be a challenge for some. Fees are ridiculous! The rent itself may be affordable, but you will pay a $35 per mo fee for services and if you have pets be prepared to pay over and over again-monthly and annual registration. I pay over $100 in additional fees, which my biggest complaint.

Negative experience: Writing a review is highly encouraged as part of the application process. My apartment building was dirty and constantly smelled of weed. There were pets in a building that specifically stated it was a no pet building and no security. The front door had a lock but the code was never told to residents. I am sure most properties are well managed but this one was not. It was freezing in the winter or a $500 electrical bill for a studio apartment. I understand you get what you pay for, but I still think I was paying too much for what I had.

Negative experience: BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY They treat their tenants with no respect. I rented through them for about a year and a half and it was a constant hassle of them wanting to come show the place or inspect it or whatever when I wasn’t around. Then they left my back door unlocked. Had sewage leaking in my crawl space and they put off getting it fixed for over a month while I had to smell it any time I did laundry. To top it all off, when the place got sold and the new owner decided to drop them as a management company, they had the power shut off. I’ve paid my bills. I’m sick, no heat and it’s freezing outside, I have a fridge full of food that’s going to go bad because they shut off the electricity through centerpoint and they’re ignoring me when I call them. Absolutely despicable the way they treat tenants. They don’t give a damn about you. And talk to you like you’re being unreasonable for wanting to be treated like a human being (if they’re not ignoring your calls, that is). Steer clear!

We do want to clarify a few important details. This property was sold to a new owner more than seven days ago, and our management responsibilities ended at the time of closing. From that point forward, it became the new owner’s legal responsibility to transfer utilities into their name and handle any service-related issues. Any current problems with electricity, maintenance, or communication will need to be directed to the new owner or their selected management company.
Regarding access to the property during your tenancy, all realtor showings or inspections were scheduled with proper notice, fully in accordance with the terms of your lease agreement. We understand that access can be inconvenient, but it was conducted within the legal requirements of the lease and standard real-estate practices.
We recognize that utility issues are stressful, especially in cold weather, and we sincerely hope your situation is resolved quickly. While we cannot intervene after the property has transferred to the new owner, we genuinely wish you the best moving forward.

Fantastic experience: I rented an apartment from real property Management years ago they are an excellent company to do business with I recently had a hot water issue after turning in a maintenance request on my own portal I have I was contacted immediately to explain what was happening technician came to my home a very nice gentleman knew exactly what it was and had it repaired in minutes before he left he gave me his phone number to make sure everything was okay if ever had to call the office the staff there is excellent you're very understanding and kind you're not treated like a number you are treated like a person and I'm kind of old so I think that is great

Negative experience: I've never had such a ridiculous struggle with a rental property! Middle of summer and getting the run around on getting my AC fixed. Several neighbors are as well. Weeks into this problem and it just keeps getting worse. I wondered why so many apartments were becoming empty....it makes sense now!

Positive experience: I have only been with RPM since my landlord passed away. In the beginning the transition was a bit rocky...always being able to deal with Tom (previous landlord) on a personal level was what was preferred. After meeting with Kay (manager), she did put my mind at ease and being guided through the ups and downs of a corporation taking over the property, made things easier to deal with. I have had several questions that I have texted to her and she gets back with me in a timely manner. She knows I have physical limitations and I am only able to do so much in my home. By the same token, she is always willing to lend a helping hand or get me in contact with those that can help. Can working with a large corporation be frustrating..it doesn't have to be, but, as long as I treat them with respect and are upfront with them at all times and that is reciprocated, I see good things ahead. As for why I didn't give a 5 star review...well, there is always, always room for improvement. Thank you Kay for all you do. Mary

Negative experience: Do not rent with RPM. They are the absolute worst and are wayyy too big of a company to actually do well with their customers. They never show up on time and act like your time doesn't matter. Call centers not even in the city when you have issues. When I first moved in my radiator and hot water wasnt working properly (in January 2024), which shows me they didnt check that it worked beforehand. It took them 2-3 weeks to get it working. There are wasp nests inside my windows they refuse to do anything about. Bugs keep getting into my apartment even though everything seems to be closed off. They do nothing about it. My neighbor's walls are falling apart and caving in and they refuse to do anything. They are negligent. Never will rent with them again and tell everyone not to. They must be taking down reviews because there's no way. The only good thing about this entire place is the maintenance man Brandan. He is the only one who cares enough to actually help you to the degree you need. I would've broken my lease on month 2 If I could've.

In January, when you experienced issues with the heat and hot water, our team provided space heaters right away and issued a significant rent credit while we waited for a replacement part for the boiler system to arrive. Once the part came in, repairs were completed promptly.
The property you live in is a historic building, and while it offers great character, it can sometimes require additional maintenance due to its age. Our pest control vendor services your building every three months, and we’re always happy to schedule additional treatments if needed.

Fantastic experience: 10/8/25: Scott and Tom on the maintenance team are always a pleasure to work with. I had an issue with my garbage disposal and Tom was out to fix right away. Really appreciate their sense of urgency and their kindness and professionalism. Tom the maintenance man was fantastic. He showed up right on time, was friendly and easy to talk to, and clearly knew what he was doing. He quickly diagnosed the problems and fixed everything without any hassle. Great experience all around. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have struggled with several of my air conditioning units for quite some time. After my yearly evaluation this was brought to light & dealt with promptly. Scott came to assess the situation before running to Home Depot to replace two of my window units. In total it took him approximately an hour and a half & I had two brand new units installed & working wonderfully! He was so kind & professional. He made this process so quick & stress free, especially in the middle of a heat advisory. Very thankful for his hard work!

Negative experience: I rented for them for 2 years. The price they give just know it’s be an extra 40-50 dollars each month then what they have for the rent. They take forever to come fix something, then during winter they put a hole under my sink and when I came back home it was rat poop in my apartment, they act like they couldn’t come out and put something down, because they only spray every quarter. But if Yall the reason why I got rat poop under sink , when my first year I didn’t have no problems with rats only problems was spiders. I don’t like the management system you can’t get in contact with The same person you talked to last time . They are money hungry and will try to charge a fee for everything I don’t recommend.

Fantastic experience: Since Real Property Management took over managing the property I reside at in 2023, Cameron, Tom and all staff have been wonderful and prompt in assisting with all maintenance and management of the property and unit, including the electrical and HVAC systems. I had some concerns with (expected) normal wear within the unit. Cameron responds quickly with any concern I may have and is swift to arrive at my unit in order to provide an assessment. When speaking with Cameron, he’s very nice, gracious and is thorough with his response to any concern or need. He also conveys a high level of knowledge and understanding, and most importantly ensures I’m in a comfortable living environment. For example, upon performing an assessment of my unit, Cameron discovered some electrical issues with the electrical outlets in the master bedroom. Tom (maintenance) arrived at my unit within two days of the discovery to asses the electrical issues further. Tom is remarkably polite and pleasant to communicate with. At this time, Tom discovered some electrical damage within the outlets. He advised that an Electrician will be needed to complete the repair to the outlets. Until then, he capped off the electricity to my outlets in order to ensure a safe environment for me until an Electrician could be sent out. He didn’t exit my unit until he was 100% certain that I and my unit were safe. He went above and beyond for my safety and I was beyond thankful and grateful for his graciousness and concern. In all, Real Property Management displays professionalism that encompasses a remarkable staff whom works diligently in order to sustain the functionality and the habitability of a property to provide a safe and comfortable living environment.

Fantastic experience: The whole renting process with this company has been smooth, easy, and quick! First, I love the contactless showings they have with their properties. It is so convenient! Secondly, the application is pretty simple and we were able to get an approval within 24 hours! Paola was the Leasing Specialist that worked back and forth with me, asking questions and trying to speed up the application process as quickly as she could. She is super sweet and seemed to actually care about helping us! Paola answered all of my questions professionally and in a timely manner. I couldn’t recommend this company or her any more!
