Fantastic experience: We found Solis Team Real Estate through a recommendation online, and ever since first contacting them, Mike and Jess and the team have been nothing short of amazing! We started our home search remotely as we were moving from out of state and Mike had video calls with us to explain in detail the buying process and answered all of our many questions. Speaking of which due to the nature of our move, Mike and Jess were able to open and close  escrow on time in 17 days, which definitely helped us secure our home and cinch the deal. Fantastic experience: Chelsi was awesome. Although we were not first-time homebuyers, we were first time-home buyers in San Diego County who had lived in the area for less than two years. As such, it was important to work with a team who knew more about the area than we did. Chelsi was excellent at listening to what we wanted and offering her honest opinion on everything we looked at. Better, she also worked around our schedule by responding to text messages outside of normal working hours and agreeing to take us on home tours at, often, early hours during both the week and weekends. Chelsi also went above and beyond what I expected from a realtor to help us find a home in the area we were looking at. Specifically, unasked and unprompted by us, she took it upon herself to go door-to-door to feel out opportunities in our desired neighborhood during a period when not many new homes were coming on the market in that area. It took some time, but eventually we got a house we wanted, where we wanted it. Chelsi was there every step of the way! We couldn't have been happier with her. Fantastic experience: I worked with my realtor Kalyn Grote for several months before I made my home purchase. I am glad I chose Kalyn for several reasons:1) she was just great to work with, 2) she was very knowledgeable and guided me through the process of finding that right home, 3) she was also very proactive in contacting the listing agent with any questions I had, and 4) of course, she explained the whole process to me very well. However, even with such a helpful realtor, I think there is still no subsitute for doing your own due dilligence! They went above and beyond to walk with us in our home buying experience and cheer us on every step of the way! Solis Team agent Kalyn Grote is a rockstar realtor who will treat you like family! She was super friendly, responsive, and on top of things from the get go. Within just the first week of reaching out to her, she scheduled and accompanied us on three home tours, and she helped us submit an offer! That first escrow ended up being a tricky one because the seller was exceptionally difficult, and she was represented by a brand new realtor who didn't quite have a handle on his responsibilities or the general process of selling his client's home. This meant that Kalyn ended up doing three jobs: her job as the buying agent, most of the other realtor's job as the selling agent, as well as proactively and reactively dealing with the other agent's mistakes. To make things even more complicated, the house was actively falling apart while we were in escrow. Thankfully, issues that the seller did not disclose ended up coming to light anyway. We were just 6 days away from getting keys when my husband and I decided that the escrow was too crazy and that the home no longer felt right for us. I felt so bad that after all of the time, hard work, passion, blood, sweat, and tears that Kalyn put into that escrow for us, we decided to back out. But when we called her to let her know our decision, she was an incredibly supportive sounding board, and she validated all of our thoughts and concerns. She never pressured us to push forward. She made it so clear that we weren't just a commission to her. She genuinely wanted us to find our dream home and do what was best for our family. Without skipping a beat, she cancelled that escrow and set up another house tour for us. We ended up submitting an offer and were in escrow on a new home just 4 days after we cancelled on the previous house. That second escrow ended up being a quick two week escrow because Kalyn and her team had already laid so much groundwork for us as buyers. This time, everything went so smoothly that my husband and I didn't have to do much of anything. We closed on that home and couldn't be happier! This home is even better than what we could have hoped for, and we know that it will be our "forever home" where we will raise our family. Through it all, Kalyn went from being a stranger to a friend. She walked with us through one of the craziest times of our adult lives, and she was our rock and encouragement every step of the way. When I thanked her for everything she had done for us, she responded by saying that when her clients put their trust in her, she takes it as a huge honor, and therefore views and treats them like she would her own family members. She works for her clients as if they were her own sister or brother or mother or father. And that work ethic shines through in everything she does! Never in my life have I had someone outside of family or close friends advocate for me the way that Kalyn did. I am humbled by the care and selfless commitment that she showed us. In all of our interactions with them, Mike and Jessica were consistently professional, respectful, personable, positive and enjoyable. They were supportive and collaborative rather than pushy and self-centered. This was especially helpful to me as I’ve had Parkinson’s Disease for almost 20 years and changes like this can be very stressful. Fantastic experience: My wife, infant, and I moved back to SoCal after some time away for work. We knew we would be in the north county area for at least a few years and had been toying around with the idea of potentially buying our first home, but had no idea where to start, especially in the current market and economic climate. While exploring a new neighborhood looking for lunch, we stumbled across the Solis office and my wife decided to call for an appointment-mostly just for fun. We were responded to immediately and Mike set up an informal information session (complete with complimentary sparkling water) to meet with us and explain what the home buying process looks like from A to Z. In less than a week, a member of his team (the AMAZING Kalyn) was accompanying us to a bunch of houses across the area, setting up showings, and fielding offers on homes we were potentially interested in. Simultaneously, Eric from the financial side was on regular calls with us, using his extensive Navy experience (I’m active duty myself) to guide us through the financials and money side of the equation. In just a few short weeks, Mike, Jessica, and the Solis team had found us our first home (not a “starter” by any means!). But they didn’t stop there. The escrow process is a whole other ball game, and somehow their support and guidance only increased; negotiating multiple times to get us the best deal, great incentives, and also connections with inspectors and other services to make the process even smoother. We’re a few days from getting our first official set of keys, and looking back, somehow the process now seems like it was…fun? Easy? Enjoyable? I don’t quite know what word to use, but whatever that word is, Solis definitely made it happen. You hear all these stories about how the home buying process is an abject horror, but I encourage anyone reading this review to allow Solis the opportunity to disabuse you of that notion. I promise you will not be disappointed, especially after relaxing in the home you never thought you’d own, all thanks to Solis.
