21st Century Property Management is driven by over fifteen years of experience in property management. 21st Century Property Management founder has worked in both management and development on the national stage and brings a wealth of knowledge to the management of smaller market properties: single family homes, duplexes, triplexes and small apartment buildings. Additionally, he has years of experience managing large-scale institutional-class buildings throughout the Western United States.

The location and city was in an area I grew up in and being able to give my children that same experience in such a good neighborhood is more than anything I could ask for. Negative experience: My experience with this property management company was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I attempted to apply for a rental property that had been sitting on the market for over six weeks, yet getting any meaningful response from the assigned property managers required relentless follow-up on my part. Texts went unanswered, emails were ignored, and I ultimately had to escalate the matter to higher management just to get basic communication. What made the experience even worse was the dismissive and inflexible way my application was handled. I am a highly qualified applicant with strong income, excellent rental history, clean background, and solid credit. However, my application was rejected simply because my wife has no credit history—despite the very reasonable explanation that she is legally new to the country and therefore has not had the opportunity to establish U.S. credit yet. Rather than evaluating the full applicant profile with common sense and fairness, it felt like they were only interested in the easiest, most straightforward applications, with no willingness to consider legitimate circumstances or treat prospective tenants as individuals. For a company in the business of housing people, professionalism, communication, and fair judgment should be standard—not something applicants have to fight for. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking responsive communication, fair consideration, or respectful treatment.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and dishonest experience. I was explicitly told by Cameron Romero that I would receive a full refund for three application fees due to his poor communication and failure to disclose critical information from the beginning. He acknowledged the issue and assured me he would issue the refunds. He even stated he would provide that confirmation in writing — which he never did. Now the company is hiding behind a “no refund” policy and refusing to honor what was promised. One of the applications couldn’t even proceed with screening — the very service the fee supposedly covers — yet they still kept the full $60. If a screening never occurred, why is the fee being retained? When I reached out to Lisa Hornaday for clarification, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. No accountability. No effort to resolve the issue. Just a flat refusal. If refunds are truly impossible, they should not be offered. Making verbal promises and then backtracking once payment has cleared is unacceptable. $60 per application is already excessive. Taking money for services that cannot be completed and refusing to honor written or verbal commitments speaks volumes about how this business operates. If you decide to apply, get EVERYTHING in writing. Otherwise, do not expect follow-through.
Positive experience: 21st Century is great but, the issue still remains that the dishwasher is not completely draining, and it is worse than before.

Fantastic experience: Went to go look at a house for rent that was listed on redfin through Century 21 process was easy just had to give some personal information to get a code for the lockbox went and looked at the house. The house was in excellent condition. Would recommend century 21 to others.

Positive experience: 3 years renting at the same address with very little interactions, we have no complaints on how issues are taken care of, and only one "annual inspection" does raise a small flag. After sharing that the AC unit needs love at the beginning of each hot season (it will break randomly in 100 degrees), they have not made time to come service it leading up to the warmer weather. 21st rentals could be more proactive with common issues and not leave renters and AC vendors to scramble for known problems. We are grateful that they have been accommodating with issues when they do arise.

It’s just a little hard to connect with somebody last minute or if you have any issues but once you do, they’re very helpful and kind and the home I saw today was absolutely beautiful easy process once I got the code. if I had gotten a hold of them, absolutely five star, but the lack of that possibility to connect with somebody right away is why I give it four stars

Negative experience: Had the worst experience working with this company as someone who was trying to rent a townhome we saw on Zillow. Had all the qualifications and the person I worked with never updated me unless I reached out to her. Wouldn’t call me when I would ask about the application. Took over two weeks and we still never got an actual “denial” from them!! Kept blaming the owner, saying they were taking long but I don’t know what to believe. We ended up leasing a house with a higher rent so not sure why they wouldn’t accept us. Told me we weren’t “approved or denied” this process should never take more than 2 weeks. Happy we found somewhere else to rent where the people actually answer the phone when you call!!! Only took 3 days to apply and sign a lease at the other place. Beware!!!!! (I still haven’t heard back from them either, last we spoke she asked for a higher deposit and said she would talk to owner and get right back to me, that was almost 48 hours ago lol not to mention the application fee is $60 each) good riddance! ✌️

Her kindness and thoughtfulness made the experience so much more special and personal for our family. She is by far the most knowledgeable and genuine person I’ve ever worked with in this process. I feel so confident moving forward with renting from her and only wish more people in this industry were like her. Highly recommend working with Ashleigh—you won’t be disappointed! Negative experience: Terrible. I couldn’t see the house before move in and It is in very bad shape. Very dirt, lot of broken things.
Fantastic experience: We enjoyed the tour. Liked the number and sizes of the rooms. It has a 3 car garage and a large backyard. Neighbor seems quiet and is clean. Yes we can see ourselves living here. Thank for the self tour. It was direct and easy.

Fantastic experience: The vendor exhibited delays in addressing the plumbing problem we reported, the 21st property management pursued the issue and the plumbing problem was resolved.
Positive experience: I don't like that I wasn't able to speak to anyone and I was interested in 470 westminster B as well and tried to schedule a showing several times (literally)but no one ever reached out to confirm. They reached out 2 weeks later to tell me it was now taken ...very upsetting!!!

Negative experience: This property management company took over previous property management company in 2022 (not sure why). A year ago we were asked to sign a new month to month lease agreement not sure why because we were already in a month to month. We suspected it was due to change in companies. Recently we found out due to TCA during Covid, this property included a small exempt 1482 addendum in the lease agreement to protect landlord in being able to raise rent over the 20% amount, which we signed. Had I known it was a red flag a year ago, there would have been a strong court case! Fast forward to now- we were given a 60 day to vacate property- moved out timely and cleaned property. The Reason for 60 day you ask?? For landlord to renovate and take over property according to this property management. Now only to find 45 days later the property was placed on rental market for only $750 more from $1900 to $2750 per month. Wow, 21st century what integrity you have shown. This review will make other renters aware of how you handle rental activity between a landlord and tenant! It’s clear the 60 day to vacate purpose was intended for this property management to make more money and protect the landlord. It was a great move on our behalf, we are much happier with our new home! A blessing for us. The public will learn from this- we know we have!

How can I trust a management company to secure tenants for me if they don’t even call me back? It’s really unfortunate because I have two properties…. given other reviews, I expected more.

Negative experience: We had a very bad experiance with the agency. The rent was taken from our tenant on the first and given to us two weeks later. They got even worse with the new management. The new manager is rude and ignorant. We probably had one of their worst agents Jaysen who wasn't doing anything. We were paying this agency but we were taking care of all our tenant's needs. Do not trust them.
Positive experience: This particular house shows well. Has some older amenities, but is a very good By buy and. I am applying. I will let you know if anything else comes up along the way.

Positive experience: Recently I've had issues with the rain leaking into the patio area of the house I moved into in September 2023. Alyssa, the realtor had a repair man come out and tear out the carpet, put a sealant inside and outside the patio, then clean the entire patio floor, and paint the inside of the cement patio floor. It took many days to finally get it done. I'm so pleased with how this turned out. I appreciate all that Alyssa did and the great work the repair man did to get this accomplished. Thank you.
