Negative experience: Customer service and helping there customers is on the bottom of there priority list. If it was up to me I would remove them from our hoa and hire someone with a better process for making payments in today day in age.. hopefully this company will invest into newer more effective processes which would help prevent issues of paying a monthly hoa fee as a business owner .

Fantastic experience: Amy Lugand of Abbitt Realty is the best!! As soon as I found a property I wanted to see, she made arrangements for us to do so. And, when I finally found the place I wanted, she guided me through a number of last minute snags until I closed. Thanks to Amy I have a house of my dreams!

Fantastic experience: The Hazelwood team did a great job for me. They went out of their way dealing with the seller, managing all the hoops that had to be jumped through to make this sale go through for me, getting it done in a timely manner and helping me through the process on my end. This deal was considerably harder than my last one, which I also used this team for because of how professional and efficient I knew them to be. But they managed it very well. I am very pleased with both the deal and with them as my agents.

Fantastic experience: The realtors at Abbitt Realty were very professional. They helped me in areas that I did not realize I needed help with as a first time home buyer. I worked with Amy and Jason Kearny and my experience with the two of them was amazing. They met all my expectations, quickly addressed any concerns I might have had and reassured me that I was in good hands. I share my car with my daughter who also works during the day. I work from home so she keeps the car most of the time. One day I Ubered to 3 or it might have been 2 showings in that day; The next time I went out with Amy and Jason they gave me a Uber gift card. They did not have to do that. I would recommend these two not because they gave me something but because they gave me something when they did not have to do that that wasn't their job or their responsibility.

Fantastic experience: YET ANOTHER UPDATE: There is nothing new under the sun. The Kearney Team is still the best there is! They helped us land an amazing home amidst an insane market in Virginia after we sold our home in a polar opposite buyers market in Arizona. Using them to buy or sell is like using your lungs to breathe. If you're not using The Kearney Team, you're making your life more difficult than it should be! We've purchased two homes and sold one with them and purchased and sold one house without them. The difference between the Kearneys and our realtors in Arizona were night and day. Are there other great realtors? Sure... probably... I suggest you don't risk it and stick with the best around! UPDATE: If home buying and selling are a couple of the most stressful experiences in one's life, we didn't experience that with The Kearney Team. They helped us find a home we loved for three years. They helped us navigate a failed septic inspection and other repairs the house required during a decent buyer's market. They were our advocates and informed us along every step of the home buying process. Not only did they find us an amazing home but one they knew was a sound investment. Little did we know then that three years later we'd be relocating across the country for a job opportunity. Then they helped us sell that house for $60k+ more than we paid for it!!! If you want to buy a house just to buy a house, use any realtor you want. It may be an investment, you may end up upside down... that's your gamble. If you want to buy a house that you'll love with the assurance that it's a sound financial investment, call The Kearney Team. I had a terrible 6 month long experience with another agent prior to using Abbitt and was terrified to try again. Alex was wonderful, I explained my situation, and fears. He reassured me the house would sell with out any problems. I was kept informed every step of the way. Questions and concerns were answered promptly. The house was listed and we had showings the next day, within 2 weeks we had offers and the house sold. Though there was many issues that arose during the selling process, none of this issues were because of Julia. She made everything easier and without her, I think I would have given up and this sell would have never happened. She was constantly reassuring me and communicating with me that everything is ok and that the house will get sold. She helped me get the house ready for showing and recommended handyman and contractors. She was so helpful! I would have been lost without her! I had a realtor from another company that I used to buy this house and she was nothing compared to Julia. I am moving out of state and I wish I could take Julia with me! I will compare every realtor I have from now on to her. If you are looking to buy or sell in the Hampton Roads area, I highly recommend Julia Akaratovic! You will not find anyone better!
