Positive experience: Moved into a Birgo Realty owned property. Very clean, property management was very courteous, polite and professional. My request for a dimmer switch in one room was taken care of the next day. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Don’t DO IT! This company is Shystie. Their apartments are not up to date. They cannot keep a property manager. They are heartless. They offered me a lease renewal to then take back the lease renewal when I had a problem with another year of increased rent, but no repairs to my apartment. I kind of think that’s illegal and would be considered retaliation. The outside of Parkside apartments in Wilmerding is filthy and dirty. Snow removal absolutely not, my car was stuck in the parking lot for a week. Maintenance is Nonexistent. Cabinets old, carpet old, stove old and painted over, hallway stay dirty, washer and dryer never really works. Oh did I also mention that they took back my lease renewal to then tell me I can’t stay until the end of April y’all , (my lease is up April 28) because they have maintenance repairs scheduled for the same apartment. I asked to be repaired. Brigo Realty is a joke and they hire jokers. Do not move here if you want a peace of mind. Also, they gave me my lease February 28, 2025 then told me I had March 1, 2025 to sign it I will only recommend these apartments to my worst enemy If you do move here, good luck, just make sure you read over that lease because you’re dang near signing over your soul. On the right side, they don’t have any bug infestation, but who knows how long that will last because they’re so desperate to get people in here. They’re giving anybody leases while kicking great tenants out.
Fantastic experience: The apartments are great. The Birgo staff is awsome. I had a maintenance request put in and within in 15 minutes I got a call from Maintenance within half hour later they were here and within 2 hours the problem was solved. And that was on a Saturday. Great job! Thanks Birgo

Positive experience: It was a rough start getting here but once I got settled I have learned to love it here in Allegheny West. The neighbors here at the Stables have been very welcoming. The building itself has had some maintenance issues but hopefully that is being worked out. The highlight of the building is our property manager Jack. He works very hard to make sure any issues are dealt with quickly and his top priority is tenant safety. I personally cannot thank him enough for making us feel welcomed. The amenities here are generous including the dog wash, option for indoor parking, the work out room, lobby activities and large balconies. The neighborhood is walkable which is great. If you have a dog the park is steps away, there are coffee shops, restaurants, AGH is close, there is a farmers market in the summer. Overall other than the rent being what is to be expected for the area it is a nice community close to everything. The only thing I would add in closing is there is a desperate need for more grocery store options.

Negative experience: 2ND EDIT- they finally found time to squeeze me in after 10 months. Resealed my bathtub, said they’d be back today to remove tape, caulk, and fix any problems while i was at work. To my surprise, i get home at 4 and there’s no work done. My bathroom is a mess of dust, tools, and chemicals. No one called and said that the work needed rescheduled or was delayed. It wasn’t until I reached out first that they told me that the property manager, Jill Lyons, sent the technician to start a new job instead of finishing the work he had already done. No text, no call. No apologies. Nothing. So now i don’t have a working shower or bathroom for the foreseeable future and no one has anything to say about it. This is truly the worst company i have EVER dealt with in my life and the second i can leave this slumlord company, i will. Yall are SCAMMERS. All this money in rent for no repairs, no updates, no communication, NOTHING. So, once again, DO NOT RENT FROM BIRGO. EDIT- it has now been a month later (January 10th) and they still have yet to address my issue. A maintenance worker and the property manager came out a month ago after my initial review to look at my issue and said they would be in touch to fix it. It doesn’t take a month to find someone to refinish a bathtub after ignoring my other requests for months. Once again, do not EVER rent from Birgo. They only want your money. DO NOT USE BIRGO!!!!!!!!! unless you want to be ignored about any issue you have. I contacted them first in APRIL about an issue with my apartment, it is now the middle of December and the issue IS STILL BEING IGNORED. They deleted my maintenance request, and keep telling me it’s being looked into. 7 months for something that could have been fixed and dealt with in a week. Absolutely do not rent from them.

Negative experience: SCAMMERS. We pay rent so the reasonable expectation is that Birgo will fix things in the apartment. The rod in a bedroom closet fell off the wall 30 days ago, and Birgo insists we must pay to fix it. Multiple lies have been told about the incident: 1. Maintenance said we used our clothing rod as a shelf. This is obviously untrue. How would anyone use a clothing rod as a shelf? We used it to hang clothing. 2. We put too much clothing on the rod, causing it to fall. Not true, especially because we had donated a lot of clothing to Goodwill a week before the incident. There was less clothing on the rod than in the entire 10 years we've been here. I have reached out to the property manager via phone and email. He has done nothing. My next step is to call law firms that do pro bono work for seniors. Birgo does not care about its tenants. They don't even care enoug to plow the parking lot. Twice this winter the parking lot has turned into a sheet of ice, making it dangerous for everyone, but especially the elderly and disabled. Do not rent from this company.

Fantastic experience: The East shaffer town homes in Raccoon twp is a very nice private and quiet location. When I have had Maintenance issues they are generally addressed in a timely manner, Brittany the property Manager is the absolute best she made the transtion from a homeowner to a first time renter an easy process. She also goes above and beyond to make sure any issues or questions I have are solved in a timely manner. It is an older property and yes some things do need addressed but Birgo has made some recent improvments and will continue to do so.

Negative experience: I am updating my review because, although my original review still appears on my end, it does not appear for other people, which is concerning. I cannot say why, but I do know that it is not visible when others search for this property, even though it was posted. It has now been 7 days since the original review from my ceiling leak, and although an outside plumber finally repaired the leak itself, I am still left with large open holes in both the kitchen and bathroom ceilings. I have been forced to shower under a gaping hole, and I had to tape a garbage bag over it because ceiling debris was falling into the shower. Debris also continues to fall in the kitchen where food is prepared. A “water restoration” person told me there was mold present and that additional testing would be done, but no one ever came back for follow-up. Management told me I could move out without early-termination fees, but: No offer of rent reimbursement despite the unsafe living conditions, No written guarantee of my security deposit, And they still expect full rent until the day I move out. Once I mentioned that I would not remove my original review—which is now not visible to others—communication from management completely stopped. This situation has been extremely stressful, unsanitary, and unprofessional. I hope this helps others make an informed decision ****Unfortunately the one star is necessary to post ..Living under Birgo Realty has been a nightmare from day one. When I moved in, the apartment was filthy, the bathroom sink was torn apart, and the bathtub was peeling. After complaining, I was moved to another unit — where the bathroom sink was also torn apart. It was only repaired after I brought it to their attention. Maintenance has been consistently unreliable and unresponsive. My hot water heater broke and required multiple back-and-forths to get fixed. The radiators and boiler make excessive noise. I’ve dealt with ceiling leaks in the kitchen and brown water flowing down the walls — and waited 48 hours for a response, only after contacting a technician on Facebook because my work order wasn’t being addressed. The gas to my apartment suddenly stopped working, leaving me without a stove or hot water. Maintenance initially said they’d come the next day — only after I mentioned calling the fire department did they show up that night. Most recently, water poured down my bathroom walls and ceiling for several days. Maintenance couldn’t identify the source and left a hole above my shower for days. Work orders were repeatedly canceled as “duplicates” while I cleaned up flooding daily. Only after multiple complaints did they finally call a plumber. Now I’m left with holes in both my kitchen and bathroom ceilings, and no clear timeline for repairs. I’ve emailed the leasing office about mold concerns and the need for professional water restoration — no response. I’ve called, left voicemails, submitted a formal complaint to their Pittsburgh office, and still nothing. I’ve asked to be released from my lease early due to the unsafe and uninhabitable conditions, and I’ve been ignored. I would never recommend Birgo Realty to anyone. Their lack of urgency, accountability, and basic property management is unacceptable.

Positive experience: I love the updated apartment. Very accommodating and dog friendly. My move in was smooth and nice. A few things needed done, however they are working on it as fast as possible. But the entire building smells of cigarette smoke and marijuana. It’s an ongoing thing. To each their own, but I just don’t want to smell it in my apartment. Hopefully that will change. Jill is super nice and has been very great through this journey.

Fantastic experience: Another shout out to Birgo in East McKeesport! Maintenance is definitely won of Birgo's biggest best selling points. Maintenance has always been respectful and friendly. Even at times going out of there way for me. Every issue I ever had was fixed and done right. You can tell some of them really love what they're doing. Taylore who is incharge of Landmark Apts in North Versailles and Broadway Apartments in East McKeesport is a real sweetheart. She has a lot on her plate but she is invested trying to make everything run smoothly as much as she possibly can. She has helped resolve issues with moving from one apartment building to another making sure the books were balanced and the apartment was ready for move in. Positive experience: So far so good with Birgo. Their application process and vetting was easy for me to do. Pet screening was mostly easy with only a few additional things that were annoying. 1. Pet screening is additional fee, it may have been stated in the application process, but i didn't see it till I was already deep in it. I wouldn't have changed anything for us though. 2. The Pet screening process itself was easy, but there was quite a bit of time between replies. We weren't in a hurry, but someone who is may have been crunched for time. The website itself is modern and responsive both on phones and computers. I had to walk and help my spouse through everything as he's not super computer literate and there were alot of screen for him. I didn't like that he had to do a Pet Screening even though I had done everything already. It was a zero pet for him, but still something that we had to do even though our accounts were connected. The maintenance process was super easy and allowed for choosing of time and access to your apartment. It also allows for images, and the choice of getting texts\emails or both which i like. The payment process ands reminders were good as well. Letting me know rent is due and allowing me a lot of different ways to pay. Including the Flex pay which I like as its similar to my old split month mortgage. I'm happy with our choice and so far Birgo has been great with everything. Looking forward to a good year. Thanks.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with the whole move in process. From start to finish, everything was explained to me. Only thing I would change are the lights out front walking up the walkway. They could be brighter. Other than that, I love where I live.

Negative experience: This has been the worst experience. Nothing was right with the apartment and I was told Sept 22 that everything we addressed in the tour would be complete by move in which was not 10-10-25. Bathtub still was dirty and very old sink was pose to be replaced and they didn't the holes needed to be patched up that wasn't completed also there bath room things in there was supposed to be one color multicolor like they found extra pieces to just put on. Like if I got a bathroom rack that's black it shouldn't have another color to fit in for the stick. The stick should be black as well. Things like that there was the apartment wasn't clean. It was this dirty stove fruit old fruit was still behind the refrigerator. The floors looked terrible like they still didn't mopping sweeping do what they needed to do. I also communicated that I would like to come 5 days before moving in to do things that I wanted to do for as another clean on top of that and pretty much just look at everything to make sure everything is going the way that we playing that was not completed. I was told yeah but then they gave me the runaround. None of the things we talked about was honored or completed.

Negative experience: I’ve lived in Clifton Lake Apartments for three years and since Burgel management took over it’s been the worst experience ever. Fantastic experience: Darren at Birgo has gone over the moon since the day I first contacted looking to move. He was amazing from the beginning, friendly, kind and super knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. When an issue happened before I moved he went above and beyond to fix the issue and got me into an apartment I loved. I soon will be moving in with a friend and got to have him help us look for a two bedroom and has been wonderful once again to help us find the perfect apartment for us both. Fantastic experience: Very clean, great staff and very helpful, the maintenance need more attentive, many times I have submitted WORK-ORDERS, and no bother to check them or acknowledge them personally. Every time I talk the maintenance worker about the work orders, states, I DO NOTHING WITHOUT THE WORK ORDER, even if I offer to show my request and respond from the main office, showing that my request was send a technician. I still have three outstanding work orders.

Negative experience: Birgo from my experience has been terrible, the actual company its Pittsburgh seems fine it’s just their management down here in Morgantown that is horrible, maintenance is a joke good luck getting them to show up and if they do even better luck to get them to actually fix what they need to without giving you an excuse. Then the property manager seems to care about everything else but this. He’s seems to be doing everything but what the tenets actually need and want. We can get an email about some lost cat he found once a week but can’t get anything fixed or even a maintenance request responded too.

Fantastic experience: I have a studio and I love it. It’s more spacious than I anticipated plus a nice full kitchen and big bathroom it’s perfect for one person and more closet space which is great if you like clothes. Was pretty clean when moving in and having a little patio is perfect if you like to sit outside. Very quiet and a nice pool and grill.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: Move-in day 1 is finished. I met Taylore to get my keys and omg her personality is fantastic. Cracking jokes, having good laughs, she was awesome. Im moving everything else in next sunday and Taylore said she will get a professional cleaning crew in beforehand to make sure everything is clean and up to standard. Moving in this week to the Landmark Apartments and I have to say, my experience so far has been nothing short of incredible! Jill has been in constant contact and answering all my questions. They were even offering to waive the security deposit and make the rest of July free if I moved in before the end of the month. I will make sure to update this review after the move is complete.

Fantastic experience: I have lived in my place for going on 9 years now. Our complex has been through a lot throughout the years with things happening in the world. However, my property manager has always been honest and upfront with us. Whenever I have questions, I get answers. Maintenance is helpful and accommodating since they work daylight and I work night shift, they respect that I sleep mostly during the day. Lastly, I like my neighbors. Majority of us get along with no issues. I enjoy living here and having a place to call home.

Positive experience: I had thought I had unscorable credit still in my current need to move. I was reaching out for places that could give me a chance on unscorable. The only person to contact me back personally to help, thinking I was someone with no credit, was Jasmine. She says "lets apply anyways" and it turned out I had earned my credit over the past year. Everybody else just sent emails going over the requirements to apply, like the need for a 600+ if I have no proof of income to show. She helped me thru applying and responded to errors i was getting on website, and helped me with workarounds. She first responded to my applicatiin request message on a saturday afternoon. The other apartment agents waited til monday to send the applicant requirements memo. So, I dont want to say she'll hook up people with no credit scores, it turned out i earned my credit over the past year. But Jasmine was very helpful into getting my first apt, after needing to sell my late mother's house.

Fantastic experience: I lived at Sylvan Ridge in 2020 and left to move out of county temporality. When i returned there was no other place I wanted to live but Sylvan Ridge. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. It’s a cute private location, quiet and safe. Maintenance is quick to respond to issues. I have several friends who resided here in the past who wish they did not leave. Any concerns I have had, Britney (property manager) always took care of it and helped me with a smooth transition when I moved back home. The Pool is my favorite part! I have always felt supported by all staff on site. Sylvan Ridge is more than an apartment complex, its community.

Fantastic experience: I am a leaser for one of their properties in Eastwood gardens. My experience was overall positive and mostly due to my agent (Jill L.) as she went above an beyond to answer all my questions and queries. The online portal is a great way to handle things without too much hassle on your own time. The prices are very reasonable and the property is really well maintained, it is obvious a lot of work goes into each unit. The area is neat and with good access to main roads, with some charming backyard common areas. All in all, I recommend heartily.

Negative experience: Update: This company has not done a damn thing to help here, they have ignored calls, not followed up and wont even try to help. They need to be under investigation for this serious lack of management. This company allowed someone to fraudulently charge my bank card to pay their rent, How in the hell can a company allow someone to use a card with someone else's name to process a payment. We are looking for a solution however if this is how negligent this company operates this may end up in court if I do not receive my money back.

Fantastic experience: Moving from out of state presents a challenge when looking for housing. Darren was beyond helpful and sent me videos of available units. Negative experience: UPDATE: WE EMAILED THE EMAIL BELOW AND STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM ANYONE. THIS COMPANY OWES US OVER $2,000. STAY FAR AWAY - THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE SCAM OF A COMPANY. Over the course of the 3 years we lived here, this apartment was nothing short of a nightmare. The pest problem was beyond unacceptable—spiders, mice, ants, and centipedes were a constant issue that never truly got resolved. Mold began coming out of the vents, and despite repeated requests, maintenance only ever gave us a quick, surface-level “fix” and never properly cleaned the vents like we asked. Water would regularly leak into the basement, and the landscaping was completely neglected. At one point, a massive weed was blocking our sidewalk for weeks, and nothing was done about it. The final straw came right before we moved out, when the water tank exploded and flooded the basement. We were told the excessive water bill would be refunded on June 17—it’s now July 3 and we’ve received nothing. On top of that, we just got our final sewage bill, and getting in touch with anyone at this company has been nearly impossible. We've emailed, called the office and corporate, followed up multiple times, and received zero response. This review is a last-ditch effort to get someone—anyone—to respond to us and resolve these outstanding issues. But more importantly, it's a warning to others: avoid this company at all costs.

Fantastic experience: Honestly I was beginning to lose hope finding apartments, but luckily I had applied for a bunch of properties including this one, first of all I wanna say my agent was the best he was so patient and helpful, at first I thought i was being scammed cause am like this is too good to be true cause it’s tough nowadays to find someone this nice and patient while looking for a new home. My agent was so understanding and supportive and really worked with me to get an affordable new home, i thought things would not work cause like I said before i was begging to lose hope and then my agent assured me and said “i will do anything in my power to make sure I find you something that fits your budget” and when i tell you he kept his words and kept me updated so fast and it didn’t even took long for me to get approved. Fantastic experience: My experience with Birgo Realty has been very positive! My leasing agent (Curtis) was so polite, professional, and quick to respond when I expressed interest in looking at available apartments. In addition to answering all my questions, Curtis gave me an awesome tour of the apartments, the gym, the pool, etc., which made me confident that I wanted to move here! I also really appreciated how efficient the application/leasing process was and that Curtis was able to accomodate my request to move in on short notice. Negative experience: Very unprofessional and the worse communication! I was scheduled to see an apartment and they reached out to me multiple times to remind me of the viewing and to confirm that I was coming. When the day came no one showed up! 30 min drive to there and back to work for nothing! I called both numbers they provided (which went to the same answering service) and when I was finally able to reach someone I was told with a very sassy attitude "I can't help you. Nobody's in the office." They finally reached back out to me a week later with a text saying "sorry for the miscommunication but that apartment has been rented." I'll never bother with these people again!

Negative experience: Birgo has had an outstanding payment due on their house charge account with us for over 9 months. Despite numerous calls and consistently sending them past due statements we have been unable to recover all the funds due on the past due invoices. The total amount due is not that much. I think this is completely unprofessional for a business that continues to operate and only owes us a small amount of money. I can't speak to the service renters get, but they have been a poor customer of Rollier Hardware.

Negative experience: Do not rent from these people. I put in a notice to vacate and moved out of my apartment and they were charging me months after I had moved. I now have $6000 in landlord debts for months I hadn’t lived in their apartments. Absolute trash company.

Fantastic experience: During my wife’s annual spring event, when she opened up the storage closet, she told me to look and see what she found. A series of mold growth! I looked, and we removed all the contents of the closet. I went up to the Birgo Office and spoke with Frank, the property manager. He immediately jumped on this like a “starved farm cat seeing a 'grinny' running across the barnyard”. I showed him the pictures & he indicated we needed to put in a maintenance repair order & he issued one from the office. He then came down to inspect the closet. He indicated he had placed a call into the leading mold remediation company in the Pgh area who Birgo Realty works with in these situations. The very next day a rep from Bactronix came into view the closet. He was extremely knowledgeable & gave me a lot info about the different types of mold.. He indicated this mold did not pose any health issues. He indicated he would be back in contact with Frank to do the follow-up on this issue. Frank scheduled the next available appointment and Bactronix came in and corrected this issue. They removed all the mold and then put special anti-mold primer followed by an addition coat of finish paint. The next day Frank had one of the Birgo maintenance workers come in and install new flooring in the closet to replace the carpet the Bactronix service rep had removed. This was a non-porous vinyl material that replaced the old carpet which was fairly soaked with water from the condensation. We very much appreciate the concern over this mold issue Frank & the Birgo team had and getting a speedy remediation over this issue. As you can see the difference before and after photos are quite amazing!!! Thanks Frank & your maintenance team along with Bactronix. GREAT JOB!!! Negative experience: Definitely see why it is 950 a month. Maplewood east Maintenance is lazy. They do not come when you put a service request in. I have done most of the fixes myself because they never show up. The leasing office people never return an email and when you go to the office no one is there. The neighbors have harassed us since January when we moved in here. It is literally ALWAYS hot in my apartment. Would not rent from this place if it’s not a last resort

Negative experience: Had issues moving in like the blinds being installed backwards, closets being dirty(patio & cabinets were quite disgusting as well), missing piece connecting the floor to the sliding door, and AC not working. There’s no one to complain to so I’m complaining here. There’s also screws going all the way through the apartment stairs, with the tip sticking out of the board. Didn’t realize till my couch was snagged and ripped what a hazard that is. There’s also bee nests in multiple areas on just the stair case to my building. I thought what I was paying to live here was fairly priced, but this experience has served as a reminder that you get what you pay for. It might be worth paying more to live somewhere else that is kept up with.

Negative experience: Dominic reached out to us to get some tree work done at the birgo apartments in the WNY area. After him approving the quote and giving us the go to work we completed the job as we agreed. Still haven't got paid and Dominic is avoiding any contact. Do NOT work with this company!

Negative experience: Birgo does not reply to emails from clients. Most of their properties are in various states of disarray and there are hundreds of issues they should be taking care of. They’re dirty and they smell and they’re extremely outdated.

Negative experience: The new land lady, Kristie ersing, that is now in charge doesn’t communicate with any of the managers or maintenance men. January I had a cockroach issue from a different unit that came into my unit, and they didn’t send out orkin until a whole month later. Claiming they were going under new management yet the other managers knew and was suppose to communicate that to her. When I asked about a transfer because I refuse to live in a place that has roaches, I was under the impression I was going to get the transfer because she, Kristie, told me the rent, what floor, transfer fee, when the apartment was being worked on and when it would be available. Then after not hearing back for a week or two I reached out and she claims we never had a conversation about transferring and a different application was approved for that apartment. The only good person with this company is Shaneisha who has helped me through this crappy ordeal. But I can’t wait til my lease is up so I can get out of this. Would not reccomend renting through them.

Negative experience: The apartment pictures they had on the website were not for my apartment. It was a completely different layout and kitchen. They used the term “renovated” extremely loosely. Quite frankly it’s false advertising. I couldn’t view apartment ahead of time because I was moving from out of state, so it’s partly my fault for trusting the website. There are so many issues with this apartment. —massive pot holes in parking lot —hallways in building are filthy and smell terrible, and the walls are badly patched. —door coming into apartment has bad molding and lock seems questionable —Newer gray laminate flooring has warping on some seams. There are paint and caulk spots all over floors. —Rug is not new. Has paint spots, crusty spots, etc. —walls and ceilings have patch marks and were clearly not painted over —ancient and worn off heat dials. You can’t even read them anymore. I had to get a picture off the internet. —kitchen issues: ancient appliances which includes very loud fridge, peeling counter, peeling seal in sink drain, ancient cabinets —shower faucet looks broken —no closet doors —I question the electrical because most of the outlets are loose and popping out. They don’t lay flush with the walls.

Negative experience: This is an updated review as my first review was five stars. In 2023 I was eight months pregnant and my fiancé and I rented an apartment through Birgo Realty. After a literal dozen of maintenance requests that went ignored until I threatened to sue them in order to break the lease without having to pay — There were mice and there was black mold everywhere. I was literally so sick the last month of my pregnancy And I have documented medical records to prove this. Instead of actually fixing anything or even having an ounce of communication with me, they decided to sue us. We went to court, and it was dropped. Now almost 2 years later, my fiancé gets a letter in the mail at my mother’s address from a debt collector for $5117.23. It is par for the course with this realty company that there has been zero communication They are a textbook definition of literal slumlords. We rented in the Hartford Square townhomes in Lower Burrell.

Negative experience: Months ago, I called Birgo to express concerns we had about our experience. Mainly, our apartment flooded and it took 8+ hours and a dozen of phone calls before someone came to stop it. Additionally, our vehicles had been stolen/broken into multiple times in the lot, among multiple other things. A kind employee, who is no longer with the company, offered to take off our parking fee as a way to right some of these wrongs. Last week, my boyfriend woke up to find his car had been stolen. He filed a police report and a claim with insurance, missed a full day of work. Only to find out that Birgo had towed his vehicle out of our lot without notifying us. After multiple phone calls, we found out that both of our vehicles were no longer registered and our parking spots had been given away to other residents. Don’t get me wrong, I can see how a misunderstanding could have happened. They thought we had cancelled our parking, and we thought we were in the clear. One woman we spoke to was very nice, even though she had to let us know we were SOL. But now we don’t have any more parking spots and Birgo is refusing to pay our $270 towing bill after this whole ordeal. They did offer $50 a month until “a spot opens up”, even though we had those spots for 2 years. Better than nothing, I guess, even though we’re still worse off than we were a week ago. We are just frustrated. This is our home and we love the apartment itself. Maybe our building is forgotten about since we are in Buffalo—no one from Birgo ever seems to know what’s going on here. We’ve never so much as met a member of the staff in person. We pay rent, we pay a $75 utility fee even though the parking lot is filled with uncleared snow and garbage. I would definitely not recommend renting from Birgo, and if you do, get written evidence of any phone conversations. I have a feeling we are not the only ones to go through something like this.

Negative experience: Okay so here’s the thing. The staff is very friendly which I do appreciate and I have noticed that they are trying to improve the quality of the buildings at Maplewood East. However, the buildings are dirty, everything is painted cement gray, the hallways are freezing, and it just really looks like a prison inside. My cabinet doors were put on backwards, I have holes in my doors, my shower didn’t work when I moved in. I have noticed the staff is trying to improve things if you speak up for what’s wrong. But the cutting of corners is a huge issue I have. I think they can do better. And again, staff at my complex is great but the company itself probably doesn’t provide the tools to make the complex reasonably better within budget.

Negative experience: First of all, this company sent me a link to pay them the security deposit before I even saw the apartment. Secondly, Google says there was a stabbing in the building, that they do not disclose about. Thirdly, the place is extremely outdated and unsafe for anyone to move into, not to mention smells like poop. Do not rent from Birgo Realty!

Negative experience: Ive lived in their townhomes for about 3 years now. When I initially started living here everything was fine. There was good communication & it was a quiet neighborhood. Now, it just continues to rapidly decline. I had a huge leak in my living room ceiling that took days for anyone to come fix. I had water going all over my carpet, my kids toys & my couch. I also was not able to use my shower or sink upstairs for 4 days because that would make the leak even worse. (It would fill up a big bucket within a minute) I also only have one bathroom so I had to go to a friends house for my family to shower. The maintenance man finally comes to fix the leak. I will say maintenance are the only people who will communicate with you & help you so I am not blaming them. However, I have now been left with a messed up ceiling that is probably not going to get fixed. When the leak finally stopped I was left with a flooded carpet & now my entire house smells like mold and mildew. I had to go out & buy a carpet scrubber to suck all the water up & attempt to fix the smell but it just gets worse everyday. So not only does my ceiling look like it's about to cave in, we are breathing in mold & mildew all day long. My shower has a big hole in it from where they repaired the leak also. I have contacted the property manager, Frank, every day for a week now & still have not gotten a response back. Noone should be living in these conditions, but he refuses to call me back to work something out. (Id like to break my lease) Besides that, there is rarely anywhere to park, the communication is nonexistent on their end, & now a lot of college kids live in the neighborhood so you constantly just smell weed & see them hot boxing their cars in the parking lot. It has turned into such a trashy & poorly run place due to their management. I would never recommend anyone to live in any of their rentals.

Negative experience: This property is an unacceptable place to live. I have repeatedly encountered issues with management, including a complete lack of response to my inquiries for months. Additionally, black mold has accumulated in the bathroom due to poor ventilation. The air ducts are clogged with dust, which has led to severe allergies and sinus infections. Furthermore, despite the lease clearly stating that smoking is prohibited, there is a constant smell of cigarettes and weed in my apartment. This is a direct violation of the lease terms. Fantastic experience: As it happens, I'm two days into my lease and the move hasn't been completed yet. What I can say is that I'm fortunate to be moving into a beautifully, effectively, efficiently remodeled apartment. It looks great. There was a minor difficulty with the lock, resolved within 24 hours. Everything seems to be aligned for an experience of contented residence.

Fantastic experience: I had a recent maintenance request where the heater stopped blowing just as temperatures were dropping below freezing. I put in the request at 4am and the maintenance crew were here by noon. They quickly determined the issue and had it fixed within ten minutes. They were cheerful and professional, and I could not have been happier with the experience. Kudos to the Birgo team!!!

Negative experience: Terrible company. They do not care about the safety and comfort of their tenants. I’ve put in over 10 requests to have maintenance come out and fix my heater 3 weeks later my heat is still not fixed. it’s the middle of October winter is soon approaching and I have absolutely NO heat I have a 2 year old child who is sick because of how cold it is in this house. Currently as I write this review my house is 50 degrees and outside is 57 degrees and myself and my child are wearing COATS inside our home. I will NOT be renewing my lease this is a very pathetic company. Birgo Realty deserves 0 stars

Fantastic experience: March 2024, we moved into The Trails Of Mariemont, we both felt so welcomed by the staff. Our reason for moving was so my wife could have a one floor plan due to her having stage 4 Metestatic Breast Cancer. Her final days were well spent here, no steps friendly neighbors, as well as the property manager Jason it made Anige's last day easy. She passed on Sept. 23, 2024 and I was able to move onto a one bedroom shortly after. All I can say is thank you for everything!
