Experiencia negativa: I would never recommend this rental company. Do your research on them and full inspection of the house prior to move in. Me and two other girls rented a house from them and had to get code enforcement to confirm the state of the house. It was deemed unlivable not including the severe mold issue that caused me to be sick the entire four months of living there. I had informed them I was severely allergic to mold and they did not remediate it correctly. They sent out people who ruined all of my belongings and those people tried to not reimburse me for my damaged property. There is a whole list of things that was wrong with the house and the way the rental company handled everything. We never got all of our money back after move out. Experiencia negativa: Awful company to try to lease from. Toured a property today, and had questions. I’ve emailed, texted, called and left a voicemail, tried calling the company number, and no one has returned any calls. This property has been on Zillow 65 days, and it is clear why it is still on Zillow because no one will return any calls or messages. So unprofessional, ended up going with Roach Realty and they are amazing with communication! I will never use this company again. The realtor whom I contacted was Caleb, I emailed him at his email, I called and left a voicemail. I called the number the company has listed. I messaged on Zillow, it shouldn’t be that hard to get in contact with an agent when it has been days. I was also told by another agent that I wasn’t supposed to have access to the lock box to self tour the property, that the agent should have been present at the time of the tour.

Called and texted the realtor (Jordan Wilson) and the main office (including voicemails) and unable to reach anyone, we went to the leasing office but no one was there. Very poor communication, would give zero stars if possible.

Experiencia negativa: Acorn + Oak is a HORRIBLE! company to rent or buy houses from. Since moving in and before we have had many problems with them. First, we had an AC problem we made a maintenance request, took them forever to answer. Finally, we get an answer that someone would be coming out to fix it. The guy came out and told us we needed parts, (still waiting on those parts to this day and it been 3 months) Second thing is we are having a bug problem, we made multiple Maintenace request and send many emails to no prevail. FINALLY! someone at this company answers (which is a rare occasion) and again tells us someone is going to come out and fix it. He "fixes" it , bugs go away for maybe a week. If this man is such a professional, why didn't he think "oh maybe the bugs are coming because the house isn't sealed properly" when we close our doors, they do not close properly you can still see light shining through the bottom corners of the door, and our screen door doesn't close properly either. No wonder we have bugs in the house. Bugs include mosquitos, nats, flies, crickets, and roaches! it's disgusting, they do not care about their customers. I do not think anybody at Acorn + Oak would like to live with bugs and rats/mouse. Thirdly the mice/rat problem, we have seen rodents. We have been hearing chewing and moving around in the walls. We made a Maintenace request about 2 weeks ago, today they cancelled our request. They do not give us reason as to why they canceled it. When we try to call this place no answer EVER! We can never get a real person with some common sense on the phone to help us, or actually fix something. We went up to the company building the place is abandoned. NO employee in site. This company is very suspicious, and they do not do their job properly, they actually haven't fixed one thing in the house. it literally their job, and if I'm going to be paying rent, I want to live in a place free of bugs/rodents and a place with actually working AC and heating. We try to call because this is unacceptable at this point, unlivable conditions. This needs to be fixed I do not care how many times i call or email this will be resolved! ASAP. I do not recommend Acorn + Oak whatsoever. They are disrespectful, rude and do not care about their customers and at this point i do not even know if there even are real employees. Do not work with this company!

Experiencia negativa: One of the worst property managements you’ll ever deal with!! Can’t even get anyone on the phone to ask questions about their properties.

Experiencia negativa: We lived at an A+O represented property for three years. During two of those years A+O was well informed of rotting trees in the frontyard and backyard, and did nothing about them until they fell. Over the course of living there, one tree fell on one of our cars (which auto insurance handled, thankfully), and the other on the house. It's a small miracle that nobody was injured or any more of our property was damaged. I believe that the house's owner that employed A+O chose to wait for the trees to fall so that their insurance could pay for potential damages. While this saved out-of-pocket money, it completely disregarded the potentially fatal danger that living under a couple dead trees can bring. I understand that A+O cannot be responsible for the bad decisions of the property owners that they represent. However, if they choose to represent customers that place saving money over the safety and well-being of their residents, I simply can't reccomend them.

The were a few things that needed addressing with the house and he was quick to respond to my messages and promptly sent out a handy man to fix them. Great work!

Experiencia negativa: I would give 0 stars if I could. My husband and I have had a terrible experience with Acorn + Oak and their associate, John Sampson. We toured and loved their rental home @ 7630 High Rock rd.. though it had a few issues. The tenants before us had dogs and the entire house, especially the master bedroom, smelled like it. We were told that the home was to be professionally deep cleaned including having the carpets done. The home also had some issues with water damage/mold, and the front porch was covered in cob webs and dead bugs (also were dead in the kitchen cabinets/counters and floors). Plus there were many holes in the walls from screws and nails, and one large hole in the master bed room closet where bugs/mice could easily get in. We were told all of these things would be fixed before our move in date. They were not. When we got there absolutely nothing had been done. When we asked John about this we were told that the home had been cleaned by the past tenants and everything looked fine when he had stopped by days before (it was literally the exact same as before..). We had to stay on him constantly to get all of these things done, basically having to do his job for him by nagging him to schedule having the home/carpets professionally cleaned and a handy man out to take care of the other issues. The day the home was “professionally cleaned”, we went out to discover the house to still be in about the same condition. It looked like the “cleaners” had cleaned up a few very obvious things but skipped out on the rest. The floors were still gross and grimy, as well as the kitchen/bathroom counters. I will attach pictures of what we wiped up with wet paper towels. It had now been days after our move in date and still nothing had been done. The house was also supposed to be provided pest free, yet there were multiple glue traps throughout the house including inside of kitchen cabinets, indicating that there was some kind of pest that they were aware of. We decided to back out of the lease and get a full refund since they had not held up their end of the contract. We were told that we’d get our money back through direct deposit, but that then became an issue for whatever reason and he said he’d have to mail the check. It’s been over a week now and we still have not received our check in the mail. Now we must nag him again to simply do his job and get us our refund in a reasonable amount of time. I’m not sure what this company is paying John to do honestly. I couldn’t recommend this company to anyone based off of our experience. If John represents this company, then they are nothing short of incompetent and completely unhelpful. They will only add a heap of stress to your rental experience.

Experiencia positiva: I completed an application with this company on a Fri. afternoon by Mon. morning I was advised a lease was signed for the property. The property was listed on all platforms for a week after, which lead me to believe I'm not the only one they took money from. When paying $120 for two applications I was advised, in the small print, I would get $50 back per app. if my background wasn't ran, which I'm assuming it wasn't because of the timeframe. I never heard anything back from this company after several voicemails and emails asking if I would get a refund or if I can apply the application fee to another property . I even had someone else call and leave messages. Be very careful with paying application fees with this company. $120 is no small change to throw away. Update....... I finally received a response and my refund. Thank you.

Experiencia negativa: WARNING: Beware of renting from 903 HANAHAN CT UNIT 2A Greensboro, NC, If I could give NO STARS I would. This apartment is a dump. I rented this apartment from ACORN AND OAK and had issues from the BEGINNING to the END of my lease from HELL. The first issue was the MICE that were running throughout the home. The MICE were eating the food in my kitchen and pantry. The MICE were leaving POOP and URINE all over my can and box good. I had to throw away over $200 in food because of the MICE INFESTATION. I had to put traps all over my house the whole term of my lease. I also had issues with the dishwasher. It broke down and the owner refused to get it fixed. I was told that the owner said it cost too much money. This was one of the AMENITIES that I couldn’t enjoy due to the owner of 903 HANAHAN CT UNIT 2A being a SLUMLORD. The electric bill was always high because the windows are not properly insulated. I had issues of mold growing on all the windows because of the improper installation. PLEASE don’t rent from 903 HANAHAN CT UNIT 2 A unless you want to live in a MICE infested, MOLD growing home.

The house we were shown looked nothing like it did online. It was filthy. Agent showed up late and looked like he just rolled out of bed after pushing us back 2 days to see it. Waited a day to find out owner wouldn't rent to us. No further contact from agent, so we are out our application fee and are still searching for a home. Other agencies have been better and are now helping us search. Try Craigslist before this company. *did they just share private financial info online???

They made a bunch of false promises, are completely disorganized, and do not communicate with their owners. I had to chase them down on multiple occasions for basic things they should have known about the conditions of the property. They did not do a single inspection on the property during the lease and put it in random work orders for "diagnostics" but never had any actual work done. My tenants also had a horrible time with them as property managers. The tenants themselves were not bad. I definitely would not recommend them to any owner that cared about their tenants or property.

Experiencia negativa: We found a home for rent listed by this group that we were very interested in. The listing stated it was cat friendly. We went through the pre-qualification steps in order to view the home. During the pre-screening, we submitted all information regarding our pet cats. We viewed the home on a Friday and, that evening, we submitted our application to rent the home. Then, we are notified, that the property is not cat friendly but they will contact the owner and let us know if we can be approved. As it was a Friday, we waited until Monday to follow up to find out that we were denied due to no cats allowed. The most frustrating part, is that we lost out on other potential homes as we were stuck waiting to see if we qualified on our first choice of homes. For these reasons, I would not recommend this property management group. Edit: We have still not received a refund for the application fee submitted one week later.

Experiencia negativa: I own multiple properties with over 25 tenants I manage. I have never seen a property manager care less than what I have seen in my first two months at our house with acorn + triad. Our house was filthy upon move in. When we told them about it they said it was just cleaned and argued with us about it until we shared the 37 photos. Not only was it filthy every wall in the house had marks on it and we are still waiting to have it painted. We have yet to be able to fully move in because we can’t put anything on the walls or have our furniture where we want it because they are now sending painters after many calls. But still to this day we are yet to even have an accurate date. So I am writing this out of pure frustration that I cannot even get anyone to respond to me after days of messages and calls. We still have not been able to fill out a movie in inspection report after two months because they can’t get our house ready. The air filters were absolutely disgusting as well and it is clear no one has changed them in at least a year. This had been an awful experience with no response at all to reach and actual office. And the property manager only responds when he wants.

Our broker, Jordan Wilson, has been very patient with us despite the delay and once we were ready, the house was listed within 24 hours, complete with professional photography and even a video walk-through—I was impressed at both the speed and the quality of the listing. It was no surprise that we got a qualified tenant secured within the week, and for a higher rent rate than I expected. Simultaneously professional and friendly, Jordan has earned my trust in a short amount of time.
