I checked in well in advance and waited in the office for over an hour, only to be told that the place had already been rented. Completely unprofessional and dishonest.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT move with “MAYFAIR PROPERTY” if you do they will KEEP your security deposit regardless of the condition. ((when Cruise Property management gave my account to Mayfair I knew I was in trouble)……I left this place in Top shape. I had inspection not even 30 days before moving out two inspections at that. they looked at my place didn’t say anything about water, leaks or water damage yes they did have a termite problem so I guess that’s my fault , but soon as I move out, not even 30 days later they find all these new things they say it’s a faucet a faucet doesn’t cost $2000 at most $150 and that’s for a high-end faucet a kitchen cabinet doesn’t cost my whole deposit. They kept all of my money when I left the place in great condition..I placed the photo of the ceiling leak And the termites.. DO YALL SEE THE DAMAGE IN THE PHOTOS WORTH $1600, Do you guys see the place how does it look? like I damage this place after taking my security deposit they say I owe them. This is how south Florida treat their Registered nurses don’t travel down here in Florida as a nurse renting our place

I have also been scammed while apartment hunting before and Oshin at every turn showed me Mayfair is the real deal while being very patient with me and never making me feel any pressure or silly for needing evidence, She has always been quick and responsive while being kind, personable and professional. Experiencia negativa: The camera footage is only half of the problem. As soon as you open lite door crack smell in your face. This was the worst place I ever lived. The management company does not care at allll and they stole my deposit after I cleaned the entire apartment with no damages. Stay way from Mayfair they’re terrible!

Experiencia negativa: Worst place you could possibly imagine even renting from. It's funny, they even blocked leaving reviews from how many bad ones there were. Where to begin, new staff every other month, can't get anyone on the phone. They charge ridiculous fees for how run down and neglected the properties are. I had a studio, no windows beside the bathroom. Termite infestation like you wouldn't believe, there were roaches when I first moved, I cleaned so they never came back. The materials used for appliances are cheap and break easily. The paint is crap. They charged me $700 out of my deposit for a dollar store paint job on a 300sqft studio, and dollar store materials that break easy, a cleaning fee even when we cleaned and emptied everything out. Only ONE coin washer and dryer for each two story building 10 units each floor mind you. The propeety managers only care about who's parking where and never address property concerns. Best thing I could have ever done was LEAVE!!!

Experiencia negativa: At first, this property management team seemed helpful while assisting my family and me in searching for an apartment. However, it quickly became clear that they were making unfair implications based on who we are and our situation. When I spoke up about it, they tried to backtrack, but the damage was already done. We were shown a unit we liked, but had concerns about the high security deposit—especially considering the neighborhood and the fact that we receive housing assistance. At first, they were eager to work with us and even offered to lower the price to push the rental. But once they sensed we were hesitant or not easily pressured, they suddenly sent a rejection letter out of nowhere. The only thing I regret is paying the 75 to 100 dollar application fee. Oh well, I'm put of 150 dollars. It felt like a bait-and-switch, and overall, the experience was unprofessional and disappointing. I would not recommend this business to anyone searching for a rental. Be cautious—they do not operate with integrity. Update: I thought I had a picture for proof since I am being treated as if I lied.

Experiencia negativa: I moved in February 1 they were working on my unit all the way to April 15 This company tried to put fault on the HOA for not getting things fixed in my unit at a timely matter. I also had to pay out of my pocket for hotels daycare’s, and also replace what their vendors broke. I was told by the property manager’s boss Dominic to send my receipts to him and he will get it handled nothing was handled. They came to my house April 22. I have all the receipts, screenshots and records with a piece of paper for me to sign stating that they always give it to everyone when they have these type of situations reading the letter I decided I would not be signing this letter is something that they came up with to cover their own ass but you would think the right thing to do would to be refund my money or even credit to my account like they were supposed to this is supposed to get done on 23 April. It is May 2. I text the property manager‘s boss, who stated I did not receive my money as they stated on the 22nd when they were in my house because I did not sign the paper that they wanted me to sign. What law says I have to sign this paper before I get my money. Will be posting the texts and videos.

Originally I put them at a 2 star review but due to their super condescending response, I am downgrading it to a 1. “We’re sport you feel that way.” - it’s facts, not a feeling. Your innocence in rent hikes and giving a 15 day notice for a $350 increase when we are required to give 60/30 day notices on vacating OR it’s considered breaking the lease and could compromise any ability to rent in the future, SHOULD BE A CRIME. dont rent from these people. Clearly they suck and don’t care. Hahaha. It’s also interesting how their review overall has gone up since getting shitty reviews. Smells like fluff, padding, fake reviews. Be safe folks and make this your last resort for renting in soflo. This property company is probably like all others in South Florida, overpriced, driven by its investment group, and scammers of your hard earned money. I rented at my building for 4 years - that they took over 6 months after I arrived, raised my rent $350 and told me I had 15 days to pay or I would be kicked out - the property has increasingly become more dilapidated to the tune of "we are gonna let it fall apart so we can hawk the space for major profit. They are a company that doesn't care about anything but the bottom line, property/people. Glad I don't rent with them anymore. PASS.

They may be nice and attentive when you’re seeking to rent a property from them, but all they care about is money at the end of the day. Stay away from any listings they have in Arbor Keys tamarac fl it is the hood and it’s the worst place I have ever lived. Roaches are a major issue here. I did not find out until several months after move in from the maintenance man that the piping in the bathroom wall for the shower was done incorrectly, resulting in water leaking through the bathroom wall into the connecting guest room closet for months anytime the shower was running. My partner and I have had important personal items damaged as a result of this, let alone probable mold exposure for who knows how long, and they have the nerve to charge us 2,000 dollars for repainting the whole unit? Demanding it within a week? Craziest thing I’ve ever heard. I am so happy to no longer be living in a property owned by this company.

Experiencia positiva: I was a tenant at 824 ne 17th Ter property in fort Lauderdale area. Unfortunately, Mayfair did not attend to the site properly. This property had a lot of bugs, clean as much as you can and use preventatives and you can minimize it . The laundry was never operating it either was broken or you had to call them and remind them to remove the coins which took them a long time. I also had an attempted break in, I asked them to possibly secure the entrance to the complex so it would not happen again I never got a response. Lastly , they do not really give you the full info on rhino . You obtain the security deposit , you pay it monthly however it does not apply to the move out costs and Mayfair WILL find move out cost such as deep cleaning, trash removal and damages to outside the property as well. I suggest your own security deposit, take pictures and make sure you are staying on top of them and keeping trail. With the economy I understand if this is a last option, just protect yourself. Positives, it was dog friendly and I had great neighbors . Happy House Renting :)

Experiencia negativa: The people are very nice but there is one tiny problem. They are not honest with the monthly rent pay. I know that rent usually come as a package and everything includes. As a matter of fact they said base on credit but I am giving three rent money its look like they did not check my credit but since they see what I myself only make a month they want to charges me high three payments. What about my credit , did they even check it? Yeah that’s right. Water should already charged in the rent right. Usually the water, trash and sewer etc in the rent already includes. I am in the Fort Lauderdale apartment right but guess what. Assurance which is an obligation and I understand that. How are you said rent is a price plus trash a price and water etc. the rent I taught that am supposed to pay it’s not that. It’s completely a different total. I don’t like that.

I had to park in a handicap parking due to an eviction going on and I couldn’t park in my parking spot and visitors parking lot was full. Next morning I had a citation from police on my car.My Property Manager Alex understood that I wanted to take this to court and provided the necessary documentation that I needed to have that ticket thrown out. As with all contractual processes as long as you read your lease and read their stipulations for things they offer (like the option to do a risk fee instead of the two months deposit based on your credit) then you will be fine with this company. Experiencia negativa: Dear Mayfair Property Management, This is Jordan Valiente from 824 NE 17th terrace Fort Lauderdale, Fl 33304 Unit 6. I am reaching out on behalf of my wife and I in regard to some on going issues and a personal request. Unfortunately we've had to stay here in this apartment out of necessity. The year of 2023 we were left without a washer and dryer on 3 separate occasions, each time one month or longer. We were also left without hot water for almost a month. Both times we put in work orders we got a very slow response from Alex Penaranda. We also had a flooding with waste coming out of the toilet, sink, and shower due to the poor plumbing structure. The washer and dryer were not fixed correctly on any work order and to this day both machines are in terrible shape. The first gentleman that was sent to fix the water heater the first time did not know what he was doing, didn’t end up fixing it. The second gentleman that was sent did not fix it correctly the first time and had to circle back. For the month of May we were charged $239.85 for rent being one day late, which is absurd considering it was the one time it was late (one day). Today is 03.18.2024 and I requested that Alex Penaranda give me a call 2 weeks ago and today I was finally able to get a hold of him, (me calling him). I was reaching out to him to see if there was anyway we could negotiate breaking my lease in May due to a job opportunity. He is extremely dismissive, rude, and cuts you off before you can even finish your sentence. I understand that my lease is asking for 2 months of rent if we terminate early, but considering all of the problems that we've had since living here all I'm asking for is an adjustment. I'm giving 2 months of notice, well I was giving 2 months of notice, but today Alex finally decided to answer the phone.

PLEASE, my suggestion is instead of treating my apartment once a month could you please send the exterminator twice a month until the roach infestation problem is under control. At this time it's REALLY WORKING. I'm so glad and very APPRECIATIVE.

Our complex needed to be tented really bad. With the help of Faruk and Domink our place has been restored. I can say I appreciate both of the managers over the property I reside in.

The process was super quick and painless. There was even a small issue with the unit that was fixed within a few hours of me notifying them about it. They even went the extra mile and gave me a credit on my rent payment for the inconvenience! I’m just super pleased overall and would highly recommend anyone to work with this company.

I couldn’t believe that out of the nearly 2 years dealing with Mayfair I finally spoke to a person who seems genuine and not too “big” in their position. I spoke to him about my deposit and more. Ironically, he had done more in that 10 min conversation than I had gotten in nearly 2 years, and he made me feel like a human being. It sucks because people don’t seem to be genuine these days. They don’t care about the battles people fight daily, and certainly don’t want to help strangers, but Joshua was amazing. His assistant Dario has been a nightmare to deal with unfortunately. I’ve been in rooms with many top tier people, usually you don’t expect the boss to be more helpful and kind than the people below them. Experiencia fantástica: I gave Mayfair 5 stars because since I applied to get a place 2 years ago the process where smooth and it has been constantly all this time. I contacted them for some issues with the unit, they were on time, fixing the problems rapidly and follow up with courtesy.

Experiencia negativa: After viewings units someone from their office contacted me asked me if I was ready to apply. I asked her about the credit because I have 579. She told me it is OK and that if anything you were paying two months plus security I did this application on Friday. Today is Tuesday and I had to continuously reach out to them now today they’re saying that the application was rejected. The first person said it was because of an addiction that never made it to court and then stated that there was a rejection letter emailed to me two hours prior to speaking with her and that was a lie. The rejection letter came in after I got off the phone with her and it says it was because my credit was below 620 when it clearly states on their website under their rules and what may disqualify you that bad credit they will still work with you you were just paying double plus security. Personally, I feel like it is an application scam because $100 you’re supposed to do your job and actually do a background check it seems as if they do public record search and it is nothing to put in someone social to get a free credit report they are not following the guidelines when it comes to renting out units and the application process because on the website, it says that there is nothing to be screamed, but they have a I answer today. Friday I was selected for interview for Monday here it is Tuesday I have a rejection. They should do better when it comes to informing potential tenants and stop giving out misleading information and change their rules on the website that it is credit base if that’s the case but it is not..

Experiencia fantástica: I recently had a plumbing issue and Joshua was extremely helpful. He quickly responded and had plumbers out in a matter of a few hours. My issue was resolved the same day it was reported all due to his communication and urgency. I am extremely appreciative.

Experiencia negativa: This company is funny. I am convinced they don’t really rent these units out for real and they just use them to make money off application fees. When you go to view these units . They look as if no one ever lived in them . Like not a soul . And I know there’s no way these homeowners are making these homes look brand new. After each tenant. Anyways I should’ve read the reviews first even if you have the supporting documents to prove that you are able to afford these units. They’ll ask you for a million other things . The company ended up honoring their financial promise (with a lot of help from him) but I’m disappointed in the way that the structural problems are being handled. Even though I no longer live at Cordova Arms, I would have liked to see it be truly restored, not just painted

Experiencia negativa: Lived in Fort Lauderdale for one year and three months with this property management company. It started off okay until the flooding occurred, most recently the mid April 2023 regional flooding. I received a letter that stated we had to vacate the property in 30 days AFTER paying rent for which the kitchen counters and all the walls were filled with water and moisture. I was dumping the dehumidifier 3-4 times a day to keep myself and my dog from getting ill. I moved out and now I’m still fighting to get my rent credit and deposit (prorated of course) back. No one answers the phone or email (Brittany or Diana) and I thought my property manager and I were on great terms but he’s not answering either (Joshua). Will need to lawyer up.

Experiencia negativa: They never answer the phone. Update: paid the 100 dollar application fee and was really in the need to get an apartment asap. Texted and called several times to no avail. Before you pay money do your research.

Experiencia negativa: I was scheduled for a showing for an apt that does not even exist. What a waste of time. Reply: So why does the number stop at A207 on the second floor? You clearly weren't just there today as I was there. You were called and went straight to voice-mail.

Experiencia fantástica: My partner and I spent months trying to get an apartment and Mayfair was so helpful every step of the way. Specifically Oshin was so lovely. She made the process so much easier and we were very happy with everything.
