We reached out to KeyRenter and they immediately had us an evaluation and plan for marketing our place for rental. For the same reason, it was slow with people not wanting to move/commit over the Holidays. As soon as those passed, they had prospects coming in regularly. One of them decided they wanted it, and that was the ending of that. KeyRenter handled it all for us. All I had to do/now have to do is monitor from the very well laid out Owner Portal to have minimal involvement. Thank you KeyRenter.

Enter Keyrenter, and I truly can't say enough good things about them. From day one, their team made the entire process incredibly smooth and easy to understand. They walked me through every step, explained landlord responsibilities, and came up with a smart, budget-conscious renovation plan to get the home rent-ready. I didn't have a big budget, and they respected that while still helping me make thoughtful updates that would appeal to renters. Within just a few weeks, they coordinated everything! Cleaning, minor repairs, marketing, professional photos, showings, and tenant screening. They placed a qualified tenant who has now been living in the property happily for over three years! As someone who lives several states away, I've never once felt out of the loop. Their owner portal makes it incredibly easy to track income, expenses, maintenance requests, and lease documents. Communication has been excellent, and the team has always been proactive, honest, and easy to reach. If you're an out-of-state investor, a first-time landlord, or someone who simply inherited a home and needs help navigating the rental process, I can't recommend Keyrenter enough. They turned a daunting situation into a truly passive income experience.

Experiencia negativa: Property owner. They do a fine job managing the property and taking care of work orders and keeping you as uninvolved as you want to be. However, you have to review every month to figure out ambiguous charges and hunt them down. They are for profit, nothing wrong with that, but I don’t feel like I can trust them to not try to scam me out every last dollar. Read your contract carefully and be ready to quote it to them to give you your money back. Update summer 2025: I had to change to different rental management company. They weren’t answering the 24/7 emergency line when my tenant had a leak. They charge both the renter and owner for every little thing. I would NOT recommend using them.

Immediately got connected to Sohpie, (AI) as well as another bot, and was absolutely disappointed in the interaction that lacked empathy, or understanding of whatWhy cant these companies employ actual people and pay a wage that makes someone actually care about their job? You know you could actually have a person looking for your properties on FB market to prevent the scams but nope...we dont want to pay someone for what ChatGbt and AI apps can do.

I'm not going to go into details about everything but I sure do wish your company would actually respond to messages and correct mistakes when discovered. Leaving an unpaid balance on my credit report that was paid even after being shown the mistake with receipt of payment is a prime reason why one should avoid renting from Keyrenter if possible. Wyatt is who I have dealt with the most and he has done a fantastic job answering any questions and communicating with me in regards to paperwork, maintenance,etc...great management company.

Not only are they all pompous liars they will literally do anything to charge you more, add late fees after 1 day unlike other companies they are very predatory. We rented with them.for 4 years and it was absolutely awful, our roof caved in at one point and they couldn't even accommodate us with a hotel for the weekend when I had a 6 month old baby, they send cheap maintenance men to put duct tape on major fixes and they ignore MULTIPLE requests of mold inspections specifally for 1008 NW 104th street. Last but not least Noah Spencer is the worst property manager ever, I have caught him in multiple lies where he couldn't provide documentation of his statements but the last conversation I had with them I suggested them keeping my security deposit, he stated that is illegal yet somehow they've done it anyway? Deducting my security deposit from last month's rent when they stated they legally COULD NOT. So are they liars or incompetent? Neither is a good option. Never rent from keyrenter.

Tried several times to actually talk to a real person and was never able to do so...only text messages from some faceless "person" that couldn't answer the phone. Can you imagine how horrible it would be to be a tenant and not be able to make contact with someone when there is an issue with whatever property you're leasing? More than that, we went to look at a house managed by these AI bots, and we found the house was extremely dirty...including poop in AND ON one of the toilets. Definitely find a different company to manage your property and to lease from.

This was a shock as previous experience with property managers was not at all like this. I used to get lucky getting any kind of response. So Noah has exceeded my expectations in helping our move to their property be much less stressful. And I would like to add that this company seems very fair in their pricing and value as well.

Upon move out although I left the home IMMACULATE, I was charged a cleaning fee. Not impressed, but what rental company is impressive, really? (rented as Barbara Rogers).

Experiencia negativa: I have been calling on houses for weeks and sending tour requests as well through Zillow. I continue to get automated emails about scheduling, but every time I go to schedule a tour, it says that I need to join a waitlist or that there are no scheduling times available And every single time I call to try and schedule one over the phone or get more information on why these houses are posted but you can’t see them, nobody answered the phone and nobody calls me back.

Experiencia negativa: This has to be one of the weirdest experiences I’ve had renting. When we first got our house, we toured it and it looked great. Then, when we were given the house, there was mud literally tracked all through the it- that WE had to clean and buckets, trash & old supplies left in the garage that we had to sweep up and then wait for someone to come get the rest. We emailed them about this and they took maybe $100 off our rent. (This is after we paid almost 4 grand just to move-in, mind you) Next, we realize that there are no doorstops on ANY doors and knobs left off of cabinets. Then we realize that our outdoor faucets have no handles? Then we realize they never gave us a SINGLE garage door opener. Then we realize there’s animal bite marks left on the upstairs window sill from previous tenants. Just so many little odd / off things that we probably wouldn’t have even cared to notice if, like I said, we didn’t just pay near $4k to move in. Near the end of the lease, they tried to get us to sign for the next year AFTER raising our rent? And we already pay near 1700 for just 3 bedrooms. So what??? After telling them that we’re not gonna sign the lease we keep getting emails to sign the lease.. which is just like- WE SAID NO. ??? Come on. Then they tell us they’re gonna start showing the house WHILE we’re still living it in. Like you can’t wait 1 week after we move out? You need money that BAD that you’re gonna invade our privacy while we’re literally still actively paying rent? Just weird. Maybe it’s because I’m from California, but I’ve never had someone think they can access my home and invite strangers in while I’m still living there & paying the rent. We have a 5 yr old kid here. We don’t necessarily want strangers touring our home. On top of that, that just shouldn’t be a thing anyways. It’s rude and inconsiderate. Stop being money hungry & tour your home when it’s empty. They also don’t respond to emails on time. For some reason someone is always “out of the office.” Edit: Literally spent the last month of my lease sending me spam emails about moving out, never answered any questions, and always claimed to be out of office. They also tried to end my lease a day early without telling me. Then when I asked to pay for a one week extension, they gave me the runaround, never called back, and then I was denied and they literally HUNG UP on me. I wasn’t rude. Just asking a basic question as a tenant who never caused issues & always paid everything on time for a year. Edit: Aug 23, 2024 I just received this text exchange telling us to come get stuff “out of the attic” or they will have it done and deduct it from our deposit. NEVER KNEW I HAD AN ATTIC. This was after they contacted us the day after we moved out saying that they were going to be charging us A TRIPLE DAILY RENT FEE because we hadn’t returned a key and they supposedly couldn’t enter the property. Mind you- they had already been entering the property. Also- they never asked for a key. Remember: I emailed & called them many times asking for move out procedures. On top of that, my sister and I assumed they had a key because they WERE accessing the property before our lease even EXPIRED. I have video evidence of leaving the home the night the lease ended and I left the porch light ON. I also recorded a sign in the garage (which they entered without our permission to place) that was somehow the next morning on the front porch… And the porch light was OFF. Yet they didn’t have a key… ? and wanted to charge us a triple daily rate. Lastly, when I was denied an extension, I was told a tenant was moving in, and was hung up on. 3 weeks later they’re just now making their way to the attic… *Update* We were Charged: $777 - magic erasers & BUCKETS of paint (for scuffs & for filling nail holes- & 1 small hole from lack of doorstop- they did not install ANY prior to our move in, so they charged us for the installation of this doorstop.) $250 - “deep” cleaning (we left inside clean) $250 - pet damages (which, ok. BUT we paid $500 in pet deposits..) Renter Beware!

Experiencia negativa: The process of searching, visiting and applying for properties was simple, easy to navigate. Found a place that had been recently renovated and was in good shape, and the one significant maintenance request we made was handled quickly and thoroughly. Never met anyone from Keyrenter, though. The communication was not good, mostly email, rare to get someone on the phone. As always, beware when renting from a group or a company. Lack of service was as you might expect.
