Experiencia negativa: I hired PJ Hussey (PJH) in December 2024 for a kitchen and primary bathroom remodel. Work began in late January 2025, and I was initially told the project would take approximately one month, which ran over 6 months. The initial flooring and tile installation was extremely poor. Multiple workers who later saw the work independently commented that it was unacceptable and asked which company had performed the installation, and all were surprised to learn it was done by a PJH employee. There were also serious safety issues, including live electrical wires being cut and left exposed. While PJH eventually terminated the employee responsible, they declined to fully correct the underlying workmanship problems, which I conclude was to avoid a complete re-demolition and reinstallation. The kitchen backsplash and shower wall tile remain visibly unprofessional, and I continue to experience grout cracking (photos attached). Although I was offered discounts, I would much rather have received a finished product that meets basic professional standards. I spoke with multiple PJ Hussey employees who were polite and expressed understanding of my concerns, but no meaningful resolution was offered. PJH ultimately did not stand behind their values of "trust, transparency, and genuine care," and I was left with a result that is far below expectations for the cost and scope of the project. Hiring this company was a mistake, and I would not recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: My recent experience with the property manager was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The manager entered my apartment for an inspection this morning. (Out of the blue , did not get any calls or texts , got a text 4 seconds before they knocked) Everything in my unit was clean, functional, and in proper condition—there were no damages or issues whatsoever. Despite the fact that the office openly acknowledges that the walls and floors in this complex are very thin and noise travels easily, the manager came into my apartment with her mind already made up. Instead of conducting a fair inspection or listening to my side, she immediately suggested that I should purchase a carpet to reduce noise. For context, I sleep on an air mattress, which is not loud, and I have a small rolling chair that I barely use because my unit is only about 500 sq ft. The manager showed no interest in hearing my explanation, no interest in considering the building’s poor soundproofing, and no interest in the fact that the tenants below me — who rent two apartments next to each other(married) — have been repeatedly making complaints without any proof. It was clear she only wanted to stop receiving emails from them, rather than understand what is actually happening. When I expressed frustration at being blamed without evidence, the manager immediately escalated the situation by threatening me with a 30-day notice. Instead of resolving the issue professionally or attempting to mediate, she turned the conversation into a warning, which felt retaliatory and completely inappropriate. Overall, my experience with P.J. Hussey’s management was biased, dismissive, and intimidating. I was not treated fairly, my concerns were ignored, and the response I received when I stood up for myself was a threat of being forced out. This is not how residents should be treated.

After communicating with maintenance nothing was successful but once Laura got involved everything got done immediately. She also do follow-ups to make sure things get done. Experiencia negativa: This company does not uphold the rules!!!(see pictures) According to the lease: They do not allow dogs to be walked on the grounds in their list of rules. HOWEVER they DO allow it no matter how many times I have asked them to just have this neighbor not have her pet be behind my apartment. She is constantly at my back windows with her dog pooping and her cigarettes and she seems to take quite a lot pleasure in being an unkind neighbor!! It is very unfortunate!! The tenant is from a different building keeps bringing her dog to my apartment to have it go potty at my back area. This happens everyday, several times and sometimes every two hours. She is just outside my bathroom and bedroom windows when she does this. This is a clear violation of several rules of the property that clearly states that pets are not to be walked on the property and certainly if the rules states it then management should enforce it, but so far they have not. Yet management just says that my back area is a “common walkway” and then they ignore their own rules. There is no sidewalk there and is only rocks and is very narrow and not used by anyone but myself and the neighbor lady who chooses to potty her dog right by my outdoor lawn chairs. Why? Why is this allowed? It’s unsettling to always have to make sure there isn’t poop there where I sit. Sometimes she leaves poop back their as well. This neighbor stated to me that she should own the place since she has lives here so long. This is a rude and disrespectful person as I have politely asked that she not hover and linger in my back area as it has kept me from peacefully enjoying being here- that neighbor crabbed at me and told me to go back inside! I don’t like posting this situation, but since it has not been addressed and corrected but instead it continues I am left with no choice. This woman is nosey and rude and was very unkind when I tried to talk to her about this situation. She has her own back area and a front area as well - also the rule states not to walk your dog on the property - I wouldn’t care if it was not always at my back area, but she insists that my apartment area is also her dogs potty. Thats so gross and disrespectful.

Experiencia negativa: They were really great at the beginning but once they got the move in money. They were like peace out you are the landlords problem. We got to our new home and ac had parts stolen probably by the management company disgruntled tenant or former employee. Then the shower heads were taken off and the water heater lines were cut as well. When I called to let the management company know they were like not our problem call the landlord. Hmm shouldn’t you have checked this all before we moved in? Couldn’t come help us out but you could take your sign down no problem. Please be careful when moving around even with a realtor there are still scammers.
