Fantastic experience: I moved out recently. Thank you Mrs. Lydia for ALL of your help with the move out process during such a stressful timing this economy. You checked in on my status making sure I understood the forms well and were extremely accommodating to my changes in a quick manner. The vacate forms can be confusing but if you reach out to her, they will be explained in full detail! The key return process was easy. Finding the new office was a bit annoying. It’s on the side of the building, facing the Salem Hospital.

Negative experience: Difficult to get ahold of, our fence blew over and they sent someone to prop it back up (barely) and screw two metal brackets in. Looked like crap. Then it blew over immediately. They said it’s “good enough”. They do the bare minimum not respectful of the fact that this is your home.

Negative experience: We notified them of mold in our apartment and they fought us on it citing yeah that happens in the pacific northwest. After enough back and forth they finally sent someone to test and yup mold because of old windows and its also in the walls. This led to a replacement of windows for all units and removal and replacement of siding and insulation which was riddled with mold. We were then told we were in violation of our agreement for "clutter". We fixed all items except for debris left by the contractors and submitted pictures. They terminated our lease soon after for no given reason and took all but $90 of our deposit. Also continously smelled of cigarettes and marijuana from the bathroom vents because the neighbors smoking inside but I guess thats not a problem for crown.

As you mentioned, we manage multiple units throughout the mid-Willamette Valley and at times receive calls from tenants or their representatives indicating they’re having issues with mildew. We take these calls/reports, along with many other maintenance requests, very seriously as we understand the importance of addressing these items as quickly as possible. As a general standard of practice, once a tenant makes us aware, assessment and repairs are set in motion. However, a lack of proper air flow in a rental unit due to an excess amount of personal belongings or clutter can contribute greatly to the indoor air quality, as well as proper ingress/egress for emergency personnel. For these reasons, and others, rental agreements generally provide parameters advising residents of practices that help maintain adequate air flow in their units. Additionally, though smoking is usually not permitted in rental units, just as we would not share details about your account with others, we are unable to share details about others' accounts and how we are addressing potential issues. Please know that the actions of tenants and their guests are reflections of their own personal characters and not a reflection of a property owner, management company or other individuals in the complex.

Negative experience: How they leave the laundromat. 1 washer for 30 units. It’s been like this since Oct 2025. Reply to crown: We have called the office multiple times and so have other people nothing is being done. Apartments are RiverWood Apartments across the street from Abby’s pizza in Keizer.

Negative experience: They scheduled gutter and moss maintenance on the house we rent. When the people came they used a blower to clean out the gutters. They blew black smelly dirt everywhere. It was blown under the eaves, all over the siding, onto our Christmas lights, and the windows were covered in black grimy mud and pine needles. Just in time for Christmas get togethers. We recognize the need for maintenance. But is blowing mud from the gutters under the eaves and all over the siding "maintenance?" I dont think so. The timing was also not very considerate of the tenant or the impending holiday. We have reached out to them. They said they would let the vendor know. We haven't heard a word since.

Negative experience: Updated review. There was a lot of waiting time for repairs or even trying to talk to someone. Our water heater went out not once but twice. Though they did compensate us by taking money off rent it was very difficult for the 2 weeks each time. No one seemed to care since it was not them going through life without hot water. The customer service has definitely gone down hill. Trying to call was basically impossible. They requested everything in writing through email which would take a week or so to get a response. I understand they need/want the documentation but sometimes I felt like emails weren't necessary. Just following up on repairs(timeline) or concerns that were addressed about the property.. examples: People not picking up after their pets, kids running inbetween cars, random questions or the various mold concerns. If they worked on their customer service and repair times it would be a much better property management. I understand they have a lot of properties to manage but if that is the case it may be time to higher more help or not take on so many properties to manage. In the end it is a business and they are trying to make money. They will respond how they see their point of view and that's okay. I do wish they responded to their repairs and emails as quickly as they do with Google reviews. I also agree with the comments with the different atmosphere you would get if you walked into their office in west salem. The ladies all seemed annoyed. We used to love to rent through them but I am not sure we would venture that way again unless customer service improved.

Negative experience: My husband and I have been ideal tenants for 8 years in our rental. I thought northwest property management was the worst, but looks like crown is going for 1st place. Like to also say that they must have severe memory loss because they ghosted us about our security deposit TWICE! Yet they want to provide good customer service??? They know that they owe us our security deposit and they listed "damages" that are not tenant responsibility, and that were damaged before we even moved in. They brought up "issues" that in 8 years had never been brought up before. This company really sucks and I'd go homeless before renting from them again.

Fantastic experience: Escaped from Commercial Property Resources (read my scathing review) into this place. It's an average clean apartment that meets my needs, am happy to see diversity in the complex, Linda was very helpful with the application process as I possess a housing voucher due to disability, front desk was always nice when I came in. Great location for people like me that don't drive. Clean grounds. Outdoor lights come on automatically at dark, garbage is secured. Neighbors are quiet which is a blessing. Overall I'm very happy. Read other reviews which seemed negative about timing, but businesses give a timeframe that things occur. What may seem simple to me could be a lengthy process and patience is something else could all use a little more of.

Negative experience: Crown Property Management withheld the entire amount of our security deposit when we moved out after 2 years of what I thought was a very positive experience, even sending a bill for $75 overage. There was an itemized list of estimated costs for everything, including $1500 to repaint what was normal "wear and tear" to the home. After mailing them correspondence disputing these charges and asking for a response by a given date, then allowing them a month past that date, I sent them another letter demanding the full deposit back since they were ignoring correspondence (including hand delivering this second letter.) We are now 6 months into this and they are still ghosting us. So now we are left wondering if there is a $75 bill floating around out there that these crooks are going to send to collections at some point in the future as we have heard nothing from them. Very unprofessional. 10/28/25 UPDATE: Despite the Owner response below, we are approaching the one-year mark and nothing has changed with this. Still have heard nothing, still have seen nothing. Avoid these people.

Negative experience: I’ve had great interactions with the applications manager, but when I walked into the office, I immediately caught a negative vibe from the Hispanic lady at the front desk. My family and I asked politely for copies of our paperwork, but instead of a simple “no,” she yelled at us with a threatening tone. Her behavior was rude, nasty, completely uncalled-for, and entirely unprofessional. We ended up rushing out of the office because it was definitely not a welcoming atmosphere. I hope she receives proper training on customer service etiquette, as this behavior was completely inappropriate. This experience left a very negative impression of the business compared to my interactions with other staff.

Negative experience: Had I read reviews first, rather than taken a friend's suggestion, I would know where I'm gonna live in 9 days, -and, of course, be $65 richer, but petty cash is the least of my worries at this time. I urge all to learn about who we do business with, preferably prior to squandering time and money on services, or items which go unused but not returnable, in "accordance with local, state, & Federal law". Wait for it.... ⌛⚖️ What's law got to do, got to do with it? ... Who needs the law when the law's being broken...? (Sung to the tune of you know what)

Negative experience: Living in my unit has been nothing short of a nightmare. I've dealt with multiple issues that remain unresolved—basic things that don’t function properly, and critical repairs that have been ignored for far too long. As someone with documented disabilities, I expected reasonable accommodation and respect. Instead, I’ve been met with indifference and what feels like punitive treatment. Thankfully, housing advocates are now stepping in to investigate my claims of discrimination. I say "alleged" out of fairness, but the evidence clearly supports that these issues are very real. I’m speaking up because I want to help others avoid the stress, anxiety, and fear I’ve experienced. No one should dread coming home to a unit they pay rent for. Every tenant has the right to peaceful enjoyment of their home. But if you live with marginalized identities like I do, I urge you to think twice before renting with Crown Property. Do yourself a favor—run in the other direction. You’ll thank me later.

Negative experience: Expecting people to put lives on hold for 3 full days on some cable company time windows is insane from morning til SIX PM. Come to my door in the middle of dinner and be prepared to stand outside.

Negative experience: I lived at Twin Creek for 7 years. Moved in December and received an received an itemized statement that I owed money. BS!!!! Normal wear and tear cant be charged back. After speaking with someone they told me I needed to wait for the vendor billings. I have since been told this again and still no have not heard anything. I called this morning and was transferred to the wrong person and spoke to someone else. She was nice and friendly, however I was told all correspondence needs to be done via email. I have done this as well; last one was in February. Still waiting. I have sent another today. I did also send copies of pictures that I took as well as landlord tenant laws for Oregon. I have also spoken with an attorney who ironically was very familiar with this company. BE AWARE!!!! I will post again once I receive my deposit back!

Negative experience: The people in charge of general maintenance on these properties are concerningly obsessed with noisy lawn tools like weed wackers and leaf blowers, despite the fact that almost the entire complex landscape is covered in concrete. They're out there almost every single day blowing dust around. I have no idea what they think they're accomplishing, but I'm glad the workers they've hired are getting an easy paycheck. Still, as a neighbor, I'm sick of it, and I hope that whomever is in charge of this relentless daily cacophony gets the help they need before it's too late for them to change their misguided, noisy ways, and become the better, smarter, and somewhat less corrupt (just keeping expectations realistic) version of themselves that I know they can be!✨️☀️❤️

Negative experience: Crown Property Management has been trying to raise my rent and when they realized they could only do so by 10% each year they have been trying to get me out ever since. I have been in this duplex 20+ years and I was recently sent a termination letter with the violations they listed being things they never fixed. Negative experience: Crown property management is the worst! They allowed my roommate to change the locks to my unit and providing me with a new key without notifying me first. My roommate requested to change locks without my consent. He didn't tell me why he made this change, he was just able to change the locks and crown property management allowed it. I have the right to get notified before any changes are being made in the unit because i am a tenant too and have the same rights as my roommate. This is a violation to my tenant rights. According to crown property management, they don't have to notify me about anything and it's in their rental agreement.. good thing their property management policy is not above the law.

Negative experience: Crown Realty Property is a very poorly ran and managed company. They never respond to concerns over property that they manage. My disabled mom only gets threatened and mistreated by these folks. They are not prompt in fixing issues or won't even fix the issues. I'm disgusted over the way they treat my mom and are not even considerate enough to call back when I voice my concerns. If you can avoid renting from them please do so!

Negative experience: Crown Property took over managing the property I lease from on 9/15/2024.. My goal is to review again in just a few months .As I stated Crownjust managing a little over a month ago..So hopefully things will improve . Because the interactions with The Crown Staff they seem friendly and want to be helpful. So it may be new processes needed , staffing etc. But just this week we're to have a inspection. Notices sent out and taped to all doors . 17th and 18th between 9 and 5pm . No one even showed up from Crown Mgmt or called . Not only like other tenants I did I clean up and tidy prior . But also getting up early to re-tidy up for the inspection. On the 18th I had part of my work day remote work to do so I moved everything over to friends kinda of a hassle. Another neighbor said she had put her dog in a kennel . But the main reason for my negative review is another property mgr I deliver to through work. Said I definitely should do a review in the hopes that someone from Crown will retake another look :So my next door neighbor who is elderly and nice has for over a year have a granddaughter living with her . The granddaughteris probably close to 40 she has a terrible drinking issue . The other management company was finally in the process of getting her out . Soon after Crown took over she was drunk in my video camera at 6:30am on a Saturday morning drunk taking to my door bell camera with a cigarette hanging out of mouth . I sent that info photo along with other videos of her gong door to door asking for money . Evidence when she got in trouble when Maintenance people who found wireless cameras up on the buildings 3 of them ! Again she is not a tenant . She harassed me more than once and other neighbors. And she has called my previous neighbors job and complained about the neighbor a office manager for medical center / clinic and said she was basically breaking HIPPA laws . Anyways The grandmother lives on housing . Red flag. In my lease I can only have company 7 days . I believe. So if not a tenant? has a background check been done on her ? It's seems like unnecessary responsibility for Crown Mgmt to take on . And does not crown Property Mgmt have some sort of due diligence to report to Housing . Again Christine I spoke with at crown was very nice But again even another manager I spoke with said thie situation seems odd.

Negative experience: Cannot they take no interest in making sure that they check their notes to make sure on hand knows what the other one knows. Edited to add: we are living on 14 year old carpet. They seem to have no interest in at least replacing the carpet for the meantime, as I will not be moving anytime soon. I have been hoping for some resolve to this. All I hear is platitudes and sorries. Edited to add this! They promised carpet removal and replacement this spring but it is almost summer and it’s not been done. The maintenance guy has said that they were going to charge us for that new carpet. We are getting violations from it. I will not be having home inspections done from them as all they do is look for violations. I have asked for the faucet to be replaced but nothing has happened there either. They will let you live in a run down place take forever to address any maintenance issues and over charge you for any move out charges. We take calls/reports regarding maintenance requests, very seriously as we understand the importance of addressing these items as quickly as possible, regardless of the age of a property. As a general standard of practice, once a tenant makes us aware, assessment and repairs are set in motion.

When a security deposit disposition is configured, it is done according to the law. Listed on the move out information and instructions as part of a residents' 30 day notice to vacate, residents find that security deposits may be charged for unit cleaning, carpet cleaning and damages above normal wear and tear. Prior to the configuration of a disposition being generated, pre-move in condition documents and photos are used to compare the state of the rental prior to a resident moving in against the state of the rental upon move out, among other things. As listed on the security deposit disposition a resident receives, you are welcome to contact Crown directly with any questions regarding the charges. We are happy to review the concerns and provided photos, invoices and explanation. Negative experience: Lived here for about 2 years in a Eugene location, and it is one of the worst places I've rented from! They are dangerously slow to respond to critical maintenance needs, including a broken water pipe that disrupted water for all residents in four buildings resulting in no water for 4 days during the summer! There's no on-site management, leading to lots of things being mismanaged, neglected or otherwise forgotten about. Upon moving out, we cleaned thoroughly and did what we could to make it look as close to new as possible. They did not refund most of our deposit due to normal wear and tear a resident over 2 years would contribute to (nail holes, a rubber band left in a drawer..). They are also aggressively raising rent prices every year. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else!

The complex was affected by an exterior main water line break for a short time this summer, a number of teams and companies were on site to address and resolve the matter as quickly and efficiently as possible, including, without limitation, a water leak detection company, landscaping company, plumbers, and a concrete company. We understand conditions during these types of emergency circumstances are inconvenient for all parties involved, and are thankful we were able to work together with multiple local companies to resolve the matter and restore water services to the complex.

If you have any concerns about your security deposit refund please reach out to us directly so we can clarify any charges and concerns.
During the pandemic there were minimal to no rent increases although ownership and maintenance costs continued to rise. The divergence back into regular rent increases as allowed by law have been an adjustment for many as the economy recovers from the pandemic.

The reason I left a positive review the first time was because of one independent contractor by the name of Ben Rutter! Negative experience: DO NOT RENT AT FENTON/ MILLER UNLESS THE WINDOWS AND BACK DOOR ARE NEW. The property was dirty when I moved in, and not fit for human habitation: a fire hazard amount of lint in wall heaters and the bathtub full of plaster dust, and windows that leak so much air that the apartment could not stay sufficiently warmed or cooled more than an hour. The unit carpet had not been cleaned, evidenced by the carpet cleaners showing up unexpectedly at my door a week or so after I moved in, asking for me by name. The carpet cleaners were not the only maintenance people that showed up at my door seeking entry with NO NOTICE; the owner's unlicensed handyman also showed up for entry several times with the only notice being the smell of his cigarette smoke through my leaky windows. I broke my lease *with Crown's approval due to the apartment needing major repairs to make it fit for habitation*, expecting my deposit to be refunded "in full, less any wear and tear." Because the carpets had not been cleaned before I moved in, I was told in writing that I would not have carpet cleaning deducted from my deposit when I moved out; I have had carpet cleaning deducted from my deposit. A cleaning fee has also been charged, against the agreement we made in writing. It doesn't even make sense to have a professional cleaner come in before major rehabilitation repairs are performed! For example, why would I or anyone clean the window blinds when the windows and blinds are going to be replaced with a different size window? Crown needs to get their stuff together, and maybe also quit managing properties for slumlords. Two stars granted only because online rent pay is easy to use.

Negative experience: I was denied because I did not send in all the needed information however I did attempt to send it in and not only called but emailed to see if they did in fact receive all needed information and never heard anything about it. Until my application was fully processed and denied. Not only this but when I gave them my current address it was on the condition nothing would be sent in the mail. And here I am spending almost an hour of my time trying to contact them to stop a letter from being mailed out.

Negative experience: They got one star because it won't let me give them zero... ZERO STARS. This is the most unprofessional property management company I have ever worked with. I applied, I was approved for a unit with no locks on the windows on February 4th. Today is March 1st. After 3 weeks of no maintenance order...I finally figured out the problem. Why did it take 3 weeks? Because they don't answer the phone, return phone messages, or emails. After 3 wks, someone answered the phone. Like every other time, instead putting any effort into it, I was told once again...the office lady didn't know and was not walking 5 feet to ask any questions. After getting a hold of maintenance ourselves, we found out there was no maintenance order. Keep in mind, this is a $3 purchase at home Depot and less than 5 minutes to install. It would require literally 6-8 screws. A week later, we have to call again. Now we are dealing with maintenance because the other people we've reached out to are incompetent and unwilling to get out of their office chair. Maintenance says another week or so. I'm DONE!! The only good thing about this company is they showed me who they were before my house flooded or some other unforseen issue...like a fire from the ancient floor board heaters or the "unusable fireplaces" and the stack of wood outside the unit that I would assume is for looks? I've tlk to other people renting from them. Good luck. You may or may not be kept in a livable situation. Word on the street is you may or may not have working appliances ‍♀️ SO after a month, my application fee is nonrefundable and I'd get more help if I were houseless. I've resended my application and have zero interest in ever being shafted by these people again. My burning question is, why are you renting out apartments that aren't even remotely secure? No locks on your bedroom windows? In downtown Salem. Skum lord's. Notice all the requirements and deadlines in these photos. I am now cancelling the electricity that had to be in my name to even sign the lease. That's 22 days of the heat on hell in my name. FYI PGE is sending the bill to Crown.

Though we make answering live calls a priority, we do encourage everyone who isn't able to reach us directly by phone to leave a message so we can return their call and assist them with their needs. Unfortunately like other companies in our area, our office was affected by some staff shortages due to illness during your application process. However, we also offer alternate methods of communication such as email or contacting us via our website to be sure we are able to connect with our clients.

We regularly ensure units have secure locking doors, windows and/or slider doors, and are happy to work with accommodation requests such as additional security measures for windows. As explained in an email to you early in the application process, the lease start date would be set once the unit passed inspection. You were not able to move into the unit because there were still items to attend to in order for the unit to pass the required inspections. Part of the maintenance delay was caused by a backorder of supplies; the parts needed were not readily available. We apologize if this came across as negligence on our part.

While we do require that tenants sign up for any utilities they will be responsible for, we recommend that tenants reach out to the utility companies when they know their future move in date and use the move in date as the transfer date; we wouldn't want clients to be paying for a unit they are not in legal possession of. As per an email reply to you during this process, we suggested you contact the electric company and cancel the utility transfer since you did not yet have a lease start date.

Although we are not able to refund the application fee, we do show that the unit you applied for is still being held for the final inspection results. We are happy to continue with the process or transfer your application to another available unit, if qualified. Please contact our office to discuss this further.

Fantastic experience: Luke is such a sweet heart! We felt welcomed and cared for while showing us the property by Luke. They renovated the place, it's very beautiful and added some perks that I didn't see from other management companies. Hopefully the staff and team keep up the positivity and maintenance. The other staff seemed friendly over the phone. I'm old fashioned so I like to do everything over the phone, but they do it all through E-mail. If you want a place just stay on top of your inbox or spam inbox!!! It was a little challenging but worth it.

Positive experience: They manage the apartment we rent. They are fair when it comes to following the laws on renting to people who have criminal history. Shoplifting once shouldn't stop someone from being able to rent an apartment. So many other rental companies said it had to be 5 years with no charges. Minor misdemeanors like that are only 1 year, Crown followed those laws and we were able to rent through them. We have now lived here over 3 years. We like to pay rent in person, and the office is located on this property.

Negative experience: We have had a tree down on our house some Feb 13th. We've gotten the run around for months.

Hello, the unprecedented ice storm in February this year left almost almost every property in the area with some sort of tree damage. Arborists and tree trimmers have been booked for months trying to handle the extra volume! I'm sure you've seen the trees around town the City hasn't been able to get to yet, even with all of their resources. Our company's plan has been to handle the most pressing/dangerous issues first and work back from there. Thank you for your continued patience as we sort through the many issues the ice storm caused! (We would like to get someone out to your property right away if there is still a tree on your roof, but we have been unable to decipher which property you are located at. Fantastic experience: My very first apartment was with Crown Property Management, since April 2017 and I just moved out last week. They have been so amazing, always so kind and helpful! I was sad to go but I needed more space for my babies otherwise I would’ve definitely stayed with them at the Arboretum apartments. They are quick to fix any maintenance issue! Marianne, Linda, Matt, Deb have all have been extremely helpful & polite. Thank you all for everything. If you are considering renting from them, do it!

Negative experience: Dealing with Crown Property Management has been a huge disappointment at Riverbend Apartments. 1- Lied to about the parking situation, When I moved in I was told 2 bedroom apartments would have 1 assigned spot and an addition parking space. Now they have reversed that and not enough parking for tenants. They also didn't tell us our parking lot would become a street with through traffic accessing the stores they are building right next door. 2- Garbage is often overflowing, Crown sent out letters telling tenants if its over flowing, its OUR responsibility to pay for another form of disposal despite the fact we pay THEM a utilities fee every month to dispose of our trash. 3- The apartment was not clean when we moved in, YES it was new but had construction dust all over the place. Additionally, There were repairs that needed to happen that still haven't been done. 4- Crown offered 1-month free rent plus $1000 gift card on other sites, but only gave us 1/2 off rent when we moved in. 5- When you apply for an apartment you don't get to see the lease before making a deposit, they get your money first, than show you the lease, not giving you a chance to review it before making a deposit. If you decide against the lease, they already have your deposit money.

Hello Daniel, As a new construction building, River Bend Apartments had several different promotional periods. One of these promotions included a $1000 gift card and free month of rent, however, it was only offered for a limited time. The River Bend Apartments property has 1 assigned parking space per unit and other spaces available for a second vehicle on a first come, first served basis. Regarding trash, the letter sent to the complex stated "If items are too big to fit in receptacles then it is the tenant's responsibility to dispose of them properly," this refers to large items such as furniture, TVs, or other household items that should not be placed in a dumpster -- we apologize if this was not clear. Applicants to our properties are welcome to request to view the lease agreement. We are sorry that your apartment had construction dust and that this was not taken care of prior to your move in. Did you contact our office when you discovered this had been missed? We would have been happy to send someone out to wipe down the apartment at that time. If you currently have outstanding maintenance requests, please contact our office directly so we can be sure the issues you're experiencing are attended to. Thank you!

Negative experience: Make sure you clean their rentals well before settling in because they sure aren’t. Last residents left a lot of personal belongings including a marijuana pipe laying in the back yard. Just glad my toddler didn’t find it before I did.

Negative experience: Recently my Fiancée and I applied for an apartment through Crown Property Management. We filled out 3 application forms 2 for us and 1 for a co-signer. We were told since we did not have jobs lined up we would have to pay $6,570 for a deposit unless we had a co signer, so my Fiancé's grandparents decided to give us a helping hand. Well we heard nothing for over a week and found out that they needed a bank statement from my Fiancés grandparents who have superb credit, and were denied our co signers since they didn’t make enough monthly (On Social Security) even though they have more than enough money in their savings as they are retired and living handsomely. We were never told this, and the lady we had been emailing (No phone calls only emails) said we were denied, I asked why and she said we did not make more than 3x the rent amount and that our paystubs were not valid. After viewing our paystubs and having my current landlord view my paystubs they were indeed valid, and that they go off of gross income(before taxes) and we make almost 5-6x the rent amount. She kept saying that we would still need to do a $6,570 deposit but never said if this would cover any rent, or if we would still have to add on additionally. I asked before if I could do a $3500 deposit and she said to have our applications reinstated we would have to pay $6,570. This has been nothing but frustrating and heartbreaking and a waste of money. We would be moving from Central Oregon and drove over there to see the apartment, the gentleman who showed us the apartment was nothing but nice and courteous and the apartment was brand new and stunning. I wouldn’t have left a bad review if they had a real reason for denying us the apartment but instead we feel discriminated against because of our ages, even though we work like dogs saving money and trying to pursue school and careers in the Valley. This has been nothing but a waste of $135 in application fees + the money we spent on hotel, gas, and food when traveling over there. I hope the landlord of the apartments can see what is going on and can fix their management. We work hard and strive for nothing but the best and to be let down with a bunch of contradicting, twisting (telling me one thing and my fiancée another) is nothing but unprofessional. I hope others can read this and not make the same mistake and I hope someone else from Crown Property Management can see this too. I would leave 1 star, but the guy who showed us the apartment was nothing but professional, and showed us the apartment on a weekend since we work Monday through Friday.

We do look at gross income, but only if it would be something you would still be receiving when you moved. Another option we currently offer is to prepay 6 months of rent in lieu of qualifying based on income. If the hang up for approving you was based on income, a cosigner would also need to provide sufficient proof of income. Fantastic experience: In 2017, we hired Crown Management to lease out and manage our house in Salem while we were living out of state. We decided to go with Kent Mack and Crown after interviewing several companies. In less than a month, Kent had found a tenant who leased the house at our full asking price until the fall of 2019. Kent or his assistant Karen were always available for our questions or when issues with the house arose. They understand that quick response is always a concern for a tenant or a landlord and we think they did a very good job repairing the odd water leak or replacing appliances as needed. As the end of the lease came in sight, some difficult issues arose which had us perplexed. Fortunately, we could rely on Kent’s expert advice. Without his input, which was invaluable and freely given, we could not have navigated the end of lease successfully. When it came time for us to move back in, the cleanup job was excellent. We had a years-long, continued positive experience with Crown and we definitely recommend them for property management.

Negative experience: We applied to a unit in West Salem, and paid the application fees. She tells us immediately via email that we do not qualify, so we moved on. She ran our credit the next day, anyway, right after we asked for refunds for the fees we paid. I can appreciate her telling us immediately that we do not qualify, but why did you run our credit the next day, after we mentioned refunds?

There are several reasons why we would continue the screening process even if it looks like you may not initially qualify. For example, you may have a roommate or cosigner who would help you to qualify for a rental, so we would continue with the processing the application. Negative experience: Thieves and criminals. They should be brought up on charges for deceiving poor renters and trying to rent dumps that are not fit to live in by deadbeat landlords. Extortionists!!!!!
