Negative experience: I rented a home for two years through Magnum Property Management in Murrieta, and this was the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. Throughout our tenancy, multiple maintenance requests were submitted regarding mold concerns in the home. I have written email documentation showing these requests were repeatedly denied by the owner, and we were not kept informed or updated. Communication was extremely poor — many emails and calls simply went unanswered. I made them aware that my youngest son developed severe allergies after we moved in, and that I also had a newborn baby living in the home. Despite this, our concerns continued to be dismissed. While moving out on January 29th, we discovered black mold in a closet located under the stairway. That was due to the bathroom that we constantly complained about having mold concern, Looking back, it is incredibly frustrating to know how long our concerns were ignored. During the move-out process, Johany Sanchez conducted the initial walkthrough. While walking through the home, he told me personal details about the owner that I found concerning — specifically, that the owner never wanted to fix anything, that they could never get money out of him, and that he thought the previous owner’s father had managed the property but, after his passing, no repairs would be made. This felt highly unprofessional and inappropriate, as these are matters that should never have been shared with a tenant. I received my letter regarding the security deposit on day 21 and did not receive my funds until day 28. Multiple calls, emails, and texts requesting updates during this time were mostly ignored, with the only response being a brief text saying there was “no update,” despite the final walkthrough already being completed. Basic communication and tenant safety should be the bare minimum when you trust a company to manage your home. If you value transparency, responsiveness, and having serious maintenance concerns taken seriously, I would strongly recommend avoiding this company unless you have no other options.

Negative experience: My family and I have had horrible experience with magnum property management especially with a staff member whose name is “Blue”. I feel that the house we rented is cursed because in two years there have been 3 leaks, the hvac system broke down, and the garage door broke. Blue has been rude and horrendous to speak with. We lived with 90F+ heat inside the home for a month last summer. There are exposed walls in the garage and my son’s room for months now. Blue only tried to find a solution in January after constant complaining that I wanted it repaired. She hired a sketchy guy to come but when I asked for someone else she said I didn’t get to decide who can do it and that she called around a lot of places to get this guy. Really Blue he’s the only guy in southern California who can repair a tiny crack in a tub?! She’s just awful and we’re looking for a new place now because I’m sure they will raise the rent and continue with the poor service and even worse attitude. Good luck to the next person who rents this home.

Negative experience: My parents had a horrific experience with Magnum property. I am not the type of person who leaves bad reviews for small businesses but after contemplating for months, I have decided to do so. While Magnum was managing my parent's property, we received a call informing us that the house had been turned into a grow house and had been raided by the police- a full week AFTER it had already happened. Josh had gone to the property but failed to notify us immediately, which is unacceptable. As we began asking questions about the tenant screening process and requested documentation, it became clear that this situation could have been prevented with even a basic level of due diligence. The tenant's info was fraudulent (very obvious). It turns out the tenants were not real people and were not residing in the house. I am not a professional, yet these red flags were obvious. I truly do not understand how this passed their background checks or follow-up inspections. What made this experience worse was Josh taking zero responsibility and instead blaming my elderly parents. As a result of their negligence, my parents ended up spending over $60,000 just to restore the house to a livable, normal condition. This has been an absolute nightmare. The company performed much better when Dan was in charge, but it seems he is no longer as involved. Based on our experience, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before choosing this company. I sincerely hope this never happens to anyone else. Response to your comment**** Actually, all electrical and plumbing work was completed by licensed professionals and approved by the city. We decided not to proceed with renovations with your recommended company due to them wanting to charge us 3x the price. Even if my parents were eager to place tenants quickly, it was your responsibility as the "property management professionals" o exercise sound judgement and advise them appropriately. Remaining silent and allowing a criminal and fraudulent tenant to be placed simply because there was a "rush" reflects a serious failure in oversight and professional responsibility. It appears that instead of addressing this issue directly, you are deflecting. Anyways, I truly hope you and your staff take this experience seriously and implement better diligence so this does not happen to another property owner in the future.

Fantastic experience: Magnum Property Management is dedicated to excellence! They have helped us manage our rental property in Corona, CA for approximately 2.5-3yrs now. They go above and beyond to help us find perfect tenants for our properties. Every application sent to owners is very complete and detailed. Magnum has one of the best monthly management rates in the market, I particularly love that they have a flat monthly fee, rather than a % of rent as most management companies do. In addition, Magnum has great customer service and communication with owners and are quick to reply to our questions when we need them the most. Dan Moore and Josh Sutton (owners) are always available too, if we have more urgent matters. We once had a flooding in our rental property and they went to access the situation even late at night etc. Blue is also fantastic in handling all and every maintenance issue...she is so knowledgeable, efficient, effective and always keep our best interest and pricing in mind. Ana and Blue, who we mainly correspond with are always quick to get things taken care of. If there are maintenance problems with a property they let me know. If I can take care of it I do, but if I can't they will send one of their trusted vendors to take care of it. So far their vendors have been fair with costs and their work is good. Magnum also does a great job in helping find good tenants. So far we have had no issues with tenants slacking on rent, which shows a quality tenant. If you have investment property and need a management company I would and do recommended Magnum! So far so good.

During the previous tenant's move-out process, Magnum's team was always in constant email communication, and someone was always available by phone if I needed to speak with someone about the property. This truly put my mind at ease, since I know our property is being taken care of and looked after. Specifically, I was always in constant communication with Blue McGowan, who is the woman! If I ever need any vendor or work done on the property, she is an email away and will genuinely help take care of the property. During the vacant months, Blue helped ensure that any issues with the property were handled well and resolved in a timely manner. Magnum also notified us weekly during the vacant months of any viewings and/or any updates if any of their team members saw anything amiss during their walkthrough. The weekly updates came from Monica Macias. She would also often advise us on marketing strategies to get the property rented sooner. Overall, we've been satisfied with Magnum Property Management, and I recommend the company to any family or friends looking for property management services.

It was the most stress free process of our life- so much so, that we kept double checking we hadn't missed anything because it was THAT smooth and straight forward. On move in day, we met with Taylor, who was also just as amazing. She went over everything again and made sure we were comfortable and understood everything she had to say. She was so helpful! Everyone we have spoken to has been so friendly and helpful as we transitioned to our new home. We also received an email with points of contact for anything we may need in the future and was introduced to our property manager, Ana who was also kind and helpful. I also want to mention that the property owner was incredibly friendly as well and very welcoming when we toured his home. I know many will talk about how this company finds amazing tenants but as a renter, I wanted to point out that they also have amazing owners as well. If you're looking to rent and want a property management company that is top tier, I highly suggest Magnum. They far exceeded all expectations we had and when we are ready to buy, they will be our first call to assist us as well.

They are prompt to respond to repairs or any other problems. They take care of problems quickly and professionally. Josh and Dan are amazing. We plan to keep renting here as long as they allow us to stay. They have other properties in Murrieta and Temecula. They are a great Rental Management Group.

Fantastic experience: We chose Magnum to help with renting our home. They have a champion team in Josh, Monica, Taylor, Lauren and Blue. Their checklist for prepping the home for rental to start with and making sure all the details are covered right for both the tenants and property owner. There were consistent follow-ups to make sure the home can be rented soon. Josh paid a visit and went through the property condition in-person with me. Taylor made sure she covered the home pictures with all possible details for future tenants to look at. And finally Monica put it all together in the documentation and making sure the first move-in date was happier for both parties. I will definitely be trusting Magnum.

Positive experience: I am a new tenant with Magnum Property Management. When I first inquired about a home for rent I called and spoke to someone who, while pleasant, gave me erroneous directions to follow. I called back and spoke to someone and received correct instructions and wrote it off as a blip. The home I was interested in was listed as "available now". I submitted an application and the approval process took about three days, I was then told that it would be about two weeks before move-in. It was not ideal, but I understood that they had to prepare the home, inspect it, etc. A consistent concern that I have had is the difficulty getting someone on the phone. My application manager was lovely. The management company staff is responsive primarily via email and text so far. I moved in, and the house is wonderful and was cleaned well. The home is in a planned community with an HOA. On my move in date I was greeted by a staff member with the keys to the home, it is a concierge service that I appreciated. I have spoken with the staff, and they have resolved all of my concerns in a timely and gracious manner. I do trust that they pride themselves on individualized and boutique service and look forward to a stress-free tenure as a tenant.

Positive experience: Diligent in responding to initial inquiry but unfortunately lacking follow up if you’re on a timeline. We sent repeated messages with barely any responses. Ended up burning 8 days and eventually ended up canceling the contract before it even started.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently rented a house through Magnum Property Management. Monica made the process so smooth and easy and even went above and beyond to take measurements for us before moving in. The day of move in I met with Lauren and she was so wonderful with going over everything we will need to get settled and answered any questions. All around a great experience!
