Fantastic experience: Technician was very polite and prompt. He communicated his arrival time and what he was going to do to remedy the issue. He worked very efficiently and cleaned up everything when done. His work was beautiful, done very well. You can’t even tell there was an issue! It was a very pleasant experience. Negative experience: Renters and Owners Beware Renters: CHECK YOUR LEASE before signing. This company will charge you for normal wear and tear, and your deposit will be taken for painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning! We lived in our home for 5 years, kept it clean and well-maintained, and never wore shoes upstairs. Even when trying to be reasonable, the representatives showed little care and even threatening. Owners: Be aware, management does the bare minimum to maintain the property. No checkups in my case and only rely on reported problems. During our tenancy: • Within the first two years, we were charged half the cost to clean a clogged dryer duct. • Later, the toilet seat broke while I was using it. I bought and installed a replacement, requested reimbursement, and was denied. • We were charged a late fee for a payment on the 5th, even though the system automatically posts on that day. They refused to work with us and threatened additional late fees for past payments (see attached). When we moved out, most of our deposit was gone - charged for painting, cleaning, and carpet cleaning, all normal wear and tear. Overall, this management company prioritizes maximizing charges over fair treatment, and communicating with them is frustrating and intimidating.
Fantastic experience: This company managed my home for 3 years until we came back from a long term assignment, and I was happy working with them. When I move out of my home again, I will strongly consider working with them again.

Negative experience: It’s been a week we still don’t have hot water. Nothings has been fixed yet. Still waiting on the part to arrive. :( finally it’s fixed after 10 days but Laurie has been amazing! She is very nice and polite.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience working with California Realty Group. Their team was professional, responsive, and truly helpful in finding the right tenant for my property. From advertising the listing to screening applicants and handling the paperwork, they made the whole process smooth and stress-free. They kept me updated every step of the way and found a reliable tenant much faster than I expected. I really appreciate their efficiency and attention to detail. I would highly recommend them to any landlord looking for a trustworthy rental agency!
Positive experience: Originally I thought this company had great site to get everything done and summit all necessary documents. Unfortunately after we found out the house we applied for was no longer available everything went downhill from there. First, after submitting my application it was supposed to send a link to add my 2 adult kids in, well it didn't work. I ended up sending a chat and the nice lady was able to merge them into my application great. Second, they had sent a message about the property, but for some reason I couldn't log back in. So I put in a new password after so many times of trying finally I was able to see the message, and it said, unfortunately the property is no longer available, the owner must have gave it to someone else which is totally fine. The message aslo said to look for a different property and apply to that one, but again I could not log back in again. So I sent another chat and got an email address to ask for the list of their properties available, and I got nothing I was ignored. By the way I aslo tried calling but I got a recording that sounded like Siri. Really frustrated. I ended going through a different company. 2] I'm updating my review, to 4 stars. I want to thank Taylor for she was the one who I spoke to back and forth through emails. I was happy to finally speak to someone about the second property in question, even though I didn't get this house do the owner not having his property in live in condition, I can say that she was definitely very attentive in helping me get this house. One thing I will definitely say it that why do we have to give a low review in order to be heard. Also, if the house that is for rent needs fixing don't put it up for rent until it gets fixed. Negative experience: Run do not rent from this company!!! They use the cheapest of cheap handyman. Our mini blind wands were held together by a wire cap and safety pin. The house wasn’t even turnkey ready when we moved in we had a hire a maid to come and help us clean because it was so disgusting( Our house closed a lot sooner than expected, so that’s why we had to rent and find something quick). Carpet were disgusting two different types of carpet throughout the whole house had to hire carpet cleaning company before moving in. Also, they told us to hurry up and get our application in because there was only a 22-year-old with an application in and they did not want to rent to him ( Discrimination). We had a fire in 2019 behind our house that caused some damage and they used our renters insurance because they were cheaper to clean everything instead of the landlords. During that time we had a lot of repairs people coming in and out and somebody left some pallets didn’t bother me so I just set them on the side next to the shed out of my way and when we moved out, they charge me $150 for pallet removal that there Guys left there. They also charged me $200 for 16 lightbulbs when we moved out if that was a case, we would’ve been living in the dark. So stay away from this shady company. I have a local business in the area and several people have warned me about them already having the house rented out, but still accepting applications and collecting the $50 fees. Also, family is currently waiting on doctor appointments for mold that was never addressed in the nine years we live there

Negative experience: Don’t rent with them if you want to get ripped off your deposit. They will rent you an outdated home that is falling apart and will not approve any repairs and then charge you when you move out.
Fantastic experience: I’m really happy with our floor repair coordinated by California Realty group.
Negative experience: We have been tenants for a decade, We have NEVER been late on rent and have NEVER asked for anything. We have complied with all inspections and every request. We have been quite, clean and easy tenants. We made a request to update a very outdated (and long overdue) feature in the home and have been met with resistance. Seems we will be required to invest into the home to have a sanitary space to live. This investment will run us about $6k. Lifecycle on this feature is about 5-7yrs, the feature is over 10yrs old. I think this will be our last year here. Im so sad, we have been so good to them, they do not intend to return the virtue.
Fantastic experience: The maintenance crew had excellent customer service. They worked together as a team to unclog my sink and make sure my bathroom was put back together.

Fantastic experience: No one picks up the phone or calls back. EDIT Shortly after I posted this review, I received a call with a very courteous and professional representative or manager. She apologized for the inconvenience caused and promised to ensure this will never happen again. They offered me a solution to my request and were helpful to work with my situation. A follow-up call was also made by another representative. It appears that this Realty Group has changed management, and communication has been much much better now. I received a detailed email containing a summary of our phone call conversation along with contact information for future questions. Thank you Lindsay('s)!
Fantastic experience: When I first started renting at one of the properties it was so hard to get a hold of anyone but since then it has been about a year a half and it is completely different. Someone always answers the phone and responds to emails immediately. I am very satisfied with how quick any issues with billing or the home are resolved.
Negative experience: The most useless management company of all time. Never have they came in person to monitor a repair and they have the tenant call a plumber to set up a time. The tenant then needs to call them back to say what happened. They don’t coordinate with HOAs. Could not recommend less.
Negative experience: Stayed in one of their managed properties and took care of the place myself and repaired most of small to medium issues, two times out of three that I did request someone to repair something, I was visited once by a racist person who kept asking and making racist comments in front of my kids and the second time by another person who gave off unsafe vibes, and I'm not the least paranoid, but you will feel unsafe letting this person look at your things as in he might rob you while you're gone, luckily we were rarely out... And when it was time to move out, they made up a list of non-existing repairs just to max out my deposit.. which was a few thousand dollars... Beware!!

Negative experience: UPDATE lol Lindsay was definitely nice on the phone when I first got in contact with the company. I explained to them that I did not want to waste my time by running my credit and applying everywhere. That's when I was told there were no other applicants and I applied the SECOND it became available. As soon as I submit all my documents, I received an email that stated I WAS DENIED BECAUSE THE OWNER CHOOSE ANOTHER APPLICANT. LOL SO YEAH, read the reviews because I did and seen all the warnings, ESPECIALLY ONE JUST LIKE THIS, AND it happened to me as well. I still think that the property was priced fairly, but they are no better than invitation homes. I believe it's best to rent from an owner, or get yourself together to buy your own house! These companies are wild. LINDSAY WAS SO NICE ON THE PHONE! AND THEIR PROPERTIES ARE NOT TOO EXPENSIVE. They aren't cheap, but they match fairly. And they at least do the required, necessary cleaning and work that some properties don't even do, like INVITATION HOMES!
Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would. To start off I would like to say this management company never answers the phone. Super unprofessional! My son applied for an apartment which is low income and met all of the qualifications. I called about the same apartment and asked if there was any applications on it and she said they have not made a decision but, they had multiple applications, but if it was up to her, she would recommend me getting on the website and applying for the apartment right away paying the $50 deposit. The denial email told my son the owner chose someone else even though he fully qualified. However, when I called 5 minutes after he was denied she told me the apartment was still available and to apply for it quickly. So they lied. I am sure this is their way of getting multiple people to pay $50 application fees. I will be reporting this to the city of Temecula as well as the Better Business Bureau.
Positive experience: Just had a self guide viewing and was very glad to know the pictures matched the actual property. Will be applying, hopefully everything ends well.

Negative experience: Tried to call 11 times, emailed twice and no responses from anyone. I was denied for valid reasons, my credit score is too low, but since my credit is due to being out of the country I was hoping to talk to someone about the situation. Even being told “no the criteria is strict and there’s no exceptions” would have been a simple courtesy. But they still hold the best value properties in the area, so I’m forced to try and work with a company that has no intention of responding to my many tries to contact them.
Fantastic experience: I was greeted with a group which surprised me, but it turned out to be a great tour of the place.
Negative experience: Updated: Still a easy self guided tour but could never talk to anyone. I was asked to email my questions and clarifications of the application or anything about the house and was charged 50 bucks each for the application for myself and husband and felt very ripped off. I got no clarification at all for our denial either. Very disappointed and would never go through this company again if there is any house for sale or rent. They did not fulfill their obligations with customer service.
Negative experience: Horrible customer service, they take your money real quick for an application but never answer the phone or return your call , renters beware before you apply for any of their listings. We were up to par with the requirements on credit score and income and they decided to decline us for low credit, what is not true …
Negative experience: The worst experience as a renter dealing with this company! Moved in to a house with broken AC in 100 degree weather and they didn’t seem to care to fix it. They’re rude and unreasonable and have made me feel like they don’t care about me as a tenant at all.
Fantastic experience: I have being working with this company California Realty Group for over 5 years now and I am very happy i choose them with one of my must precious jewel ; My House. The manager owner Kristen and the accountant Gavin are the best! The entire staff is very professional, kind and they get the job done. I will recommend this company to anyone including my family and friends if they are looking for selling or renting a property because you will always get quality service without a doubt.
Negative experience: This was the worst renting experience my husband and I have ever had. The home was disgusting and disheveled when we moved in. We had to have the place cleaned again and cleaned it ourselves before we could even move our things in. There were bug nests in the pantry and dog feces stains on the carpets. After weeks and several requests they replaced these things. Throughout the 2 years we lived there they were unfriendly to deal with Mercedes especially and they never acted as advocates for us as renters. Most of the time it seemed they didnt even communicate our requests to the owners, which were not many but they were important, like putting in a working exhaust fan in the bathroom that had mold growing in it, that they also did not take care of nor did they put in the fan. When we moved out they took half of our deposit for reasons that were not valid or justified like the microwave that we never used and was left on site but they replaced it and charged us for it. There were many other unjustifiable charges as well. Absolutely horrible. Think twice before renting somewhere where this company is handling the property and save yourself the money and frustration.

Negative experience: Very difficult to deal with, maintenance items take months to fix. Phone calls go to automated directory trees. They’re experts at nickel and dime charges for every little thing. If you’re a property owner these guys will make you look terrible. If you’re a prospective renter avoid this company.
Negative experience: Potential tenants beware. Hard to get in contact with the office and the people seemed angry and inconvenienced by our questions and requests. I was charged unreasonable amounts from my security deposit, something between predatory and unprofessional. Things in our house that were not prepared properly upon move in were held against us when we moved out. Their standard for the home inspection for move in was much different from the move out.

They have done an excellent job in all aspects, from finding a renter for my property, dealing with the tenant issues that seem to arise fairly often, and making sure that rent payments are always on time. I have full confidence in them and don't have anything to worry about while I am living in a foreign country.

Negative experience: If I can post a review with no stars I would. Poor management company, they’re not attentive to their tenants and do not fix anything. I've been patient with them but nothing changes . I don't recommend renting ANY properties from them. They don't fully prepare their rentals. Save your time and money.
Negative experience: I applied for a 2300 rental property I have credit score above their requirements and income at $8000 combine with my wife lol got denied cause I didn't show 2x rent of 4600 in my savings. Don't waste ur time and your 40$ in application fee total scam.

Negative experience: I can not speak of purchasing a home with this group but I would not rent a property from this group. Upon moving out they tried to charge extra cleaning fees out of the security deposit. Which would have resulted in getting half the security deposit back. I paid to have the property professionally cleaned on the date they requested. Walk through noted a clean house. Then they had people come in and paint and make repairs. Due to the work they did on the house after I moved out, they wanted to charge additional cleaning fees. This resulted in myself contacting the owner and filing to go to small claims court. Not worth the headache. They ended up giving the entire security deposit back upon the file. Again I can not speak about buying a home with the group. I ended up purchasing a home with Premier Property due to California Reality Group not being trust worthy

Negative experience: Not sure how this company has a 4.5 star rating. They probably pay people to leave good reviews with the $40 application fee they steal from people knowing the property has already been leased. I paid them $40 to run my credit on 07/07/2022. As of today 07/13/2022 they have not ran my credit. They will not refund my money. This company is FRAUD. These people lie steel, never return calls emails NOTHING This company has got to be the worst company I have ever dealt with. Im having a hard time leaving 1 star they do not deserve it. Im going to leave you people a bad review on every web site possible. Ill start with the BBB. Fair Housing Act, Dept of Real Estate, County/City of Temecula and the rent control board and whom ever else I can complain to. I work in the industry and Im sorry but you don't treat people the way this company does even the receptionist is rude. I will contact each home owner of every property you people have listed on your website and let them know what type of people/company is managing there most valuable asset. This company needs to be shut down.
Negative experience: I rarely take time out of life to write a review, however this is the worst company i have ever had to deal with. They listed a property available Jul 1st and i filled out an application and paid the fee. I have been given different responses from everyone i spoke with. Rebecca told me she would get back to me Monday and never got back to me. I reached out to her and she states she was waiting on the owner but everything was looking good. I don't understand how a property management company is awaiting on the owner but whatever. When i asked how long the owner has to make a decision she then responded by saying they don't have a time limit. The other agent told me they were waiting on the property Manager (Mercedes) to get a response back. There is a lack of communication within this organization. I believe they are accepting applicants just to collect a fee which i will also report to the BBB. I had someone call acting like they were interested and they advised that person that they are still accepting applicants and that the people who applied probably weren't going to get it. I would never associate myself with this company or anyone of it.
Fantastic experience: We live out of state. We managed our property on our own for a few years, which was really stressful even though we had good renters. Now, CRG takes care of everything. Best thing we could have done for our property. Wish we would have done it sooner. Seriously, hire them. You won't regret it.

Negative experience: I really wanted to apply to a home under this company but after chasing Kristin down with several phone calls and emails to no avail, we are pulling out. Not to mention the bad reviews. We have been trying to get ahold of someone who can answer questions regarding a property for almost 2 weeks now. Emails don’t get a response and zero call backs. How exactly are they planning to get tenants in these properties if they are never available for communication??? It also makes the company look sketchy. We are beyond qualified for the property but I’m not sure if this is a good company due to it being so difficult to get ahold of someone.

Negative experience: Communication is not the greatest at ALL. I had to continue to follow up to stay in the loop. I completely understood why my co-applicant was not accepted for the three homes we applied to rent, I just wish they were more up front about it when I asked what the chances were we were to get approved. I initially submitted my application back on 03/28/2022, since then I feel that I have gotten the run around. This past Wednesday 04/13/2022, I found another home listed by another property manager and I applied for it. Today is now 04/19/2022 and I am already getting the keys. Had it not been for Easter weekend, I probably would have gotten the keys sooner. The only reason I am putting 2 stars and not 1 is because the person helping me was very pleasant on the phone and over email when I was able to speak with her.

Negative experience: Run, do not rent from this company they will keep your deposit! Let me say it again in case you don’t believe me they will keep your deposit!!! I found several people that informed me after they kept mine! even if you have proof and the law is on your side, you have to know everything about the law and winning arguments in court. if you decide to rent with them unknowingly/anyway read your lease take 30 minutes and completely read your lease!!! The houses they rent are dirty and even if you take pictures for proof that it was dirty before they will still charge you a $300 cleaning fee! Even if you leave it cleaner than when you moved in! Their homes are dirty and they hide as is way in your lease contract. they also hide the fact that you are supposed to replace filters and have the carpets professionally cleaned at your expense before you move out and submit a receipt which with the walk-through that they did they never said this to me!! I will thoroughly research any company before ever giving my deposit again

Negative experience: My house was not cleaned upon moving in. Tons of dog hair on the carpet, was not shampooed. The oven was completely dirty inside. The baseboards look like they have pet urine on them. Totally disappointed. I have never had to deep clean upon moving in. The only response I got was that it would be added to my move in inspection. I’m going to clean the carpets myself but I will not be getting them professionally cleaned upon moving out. EDIT: wasn’t aware the lease states that you have to have the carpets professionally cleaned no matter what. I would have pushed for them get get cleaned when we moved in. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS REALTY COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! Seriously $60 to have a couple light bulbs replaced ( which weren’t out in the first place! ) they also never added any of above problems to my move in inspection but luckily I had email receipts to prove it.
Negative experience: Renters beware! This company will try to STEAL YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT. Our story is the same as soooo many of their renters: 1. Move into a filthy CRG managed rental with deferred maintenance. 2. Spend hours cleaning and trying to document all of the disrepair they somehow "missed" on their move-in report. 3. Get the runaround when seeking clarity and fixes for the disrepair. 4. Fight to stop them from STEALING OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT, despite loads of documentation and emails. The scam: They try to make you pay for updates to old, gross homes. They then try to bully any renter that exposes their scam (so I suspect that's next). Take photos of every square inch of the property and document every phone call! Sure glad we did - because we will not allow them to STEAL OUR SECURITY DEPOSIT.
Fantastic experience: I’m very impressed with the service that this office offers. I left the other property management office When my home remained during the summer months unoccupied without any major intervention by the leasing agent. After I transferred my business over to those guys I was receiving weekly, if not more often, calls to update me on the status of my homes. That included any rate adjustment deemed necessary to adjust to market needs. Before a month was over both of my homes were occupied and at very descent rate. What made me even more impressed is that I’m receiving a quarterly report about the condition of my homes, after being physically visited by one of their inspectors. I thought that was unprecedented. Thank you Kristin and company. For sure I’m spreading the word around to my friends who have similar investment homes
Fantastic experience: I cannot express enough how diligent, timely, and professional Mercedes is. Given this remote contactless climate we are in, she has gone above and beyond to make this process as smooth as possible. Time was of the essence and she was very accessible anytime I called or emailed with a concern. I am grateful for her efforts and very pleased with this company.
Fantastic experience: Very professional, responsive, and attentive. As an out of state owner of the rental property, I could not be more satisfied with their service. They stayed in touch with me constantly from the onset and helped address the maintenance issues before the property was rented out. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for professional hands off management of their rental properties.
Negative experience: The housing crisis is insane. People are struggling and while the “property management” companies are thriving. I submitted an application with 2 friends and they explained that I should be expecting our status update in 3 days. I started to call 1-3 times daily to get a status update starting on the 3rd day. Now we are over 2 weeks and my group got an email that we weren’t accepted. No phone calls were answered since I submitted the first application and now I have to wait for a response to re-direct my application. It looks like the company pocketed my $120 app and will ignore me until the “background check” expires.
Negative experience: I never write reviews but me and my husband are in shock at how this company handles move out deposit deductions. We left our home spotless, notified of a shared gate that was broken 1 month prior to move out and left everything in tact in the house minus a door knob. Well this company decided to unfairly charge us $1,900 for repairs that we knowingly did not do. The copies of the Invoices for repairs are not even from a reputable company but more like they were bought at Office Depot and filled out by a random person charging outrageous fees! It's really sad that a company can be so unfair and take advantage of people like this, especially in these times when everyone is hurting. Very sad! Don't use this company unless you want to get screwed over big time!! Scammers and definitely illegal what they are doing!! See you in court!!
Negative experience: I was extremely hopeful when it came to working with this company. We applied to rent a house from them and we were very punctual with providing all requested information. We were never informed that we did not get the property. We found out that the company chose a different family only by seeing the rental was not longer listed as available. We chalked this one up to a loss and a fluke on CRG's part as they seemed very professional up to this point. Fast forward a week and we applied for a second property with CRG. 13 days after our requested move in date and well after our application was processed we received an email notifying us that we were not chosen for this home either. It had been so long that we forgot we even applied for the property. Luckily we found a reputable company that found us a house and the lack of communication from CRG did not affect us.

We do our best to inform applicants of the status, which can sometimes take several days depending on the overall interest in our homes. Fantastic experience: Kristin was absolutely perfect agent to list my rental property. She had current knowledge in estate market to guide me through every step. She is responsive to all my concerns. Real estate market is always tough whether you want to sale or buy. She makes things happen so easy for me. Give her a chance. You will be surprise to find her really good at what she does.
Negative experience: Be aware of SCAMMERS! We found the house for rent, reached out to them. They wouldn't show us a house, but wanted us to fill an application, for which we had to pay $80. They said they can only show it if we have a licensed realtor, and that they cannot show it due to covid. Our realtor said that all covid restrictions were removed. When our realtor tried to reach to them, left them voice mails, messages and emails, they never called back. When I called them a few times, they said: make sure you submit an application, for every person and pay the fee for every person. And she said she would call my realtor right away, which was a lie. She never called, returned realtors call or replied back to an email. A few days later I got an email saying the property is not available. So they wanted to collect money from people without even showing the house, which is illegal. Stay away from them.
Negative experience: This company gladly took my application fee, saying I couldn’t see a rental prior to my application being accepted. I jumped though all hoops to apply, no easy feat with all supporting documentation. Once I was accepted they then refused to show me the inside of the home prior to signing a lease. They of course then refused to issue a refund. A colossal waste of time and money trying to work with this company. A very unfortunate example of taking advantage of people in this crazy market. DO NOT RECOMMEND unless you are willing to sign a lease on a place sight unseen!
Negative experience: One of your drivers just tried to run me off the road on Temecula Parkway. He had dirty blonde hair and was wearing glasses. He was clearly bothered by the road work going on. Not smart to drive like a maniac while in your company vehicle, or at all. Safety is more important than your precious time and money.
Positive experience: Bill was very thorough in taking care of the items on our punch list.
Negative experience: Not Professional or helpful. Rebecca the assistant needs to be replaced ASAP!

Fantastic experience: We have been in this house for 2 years and just extended out lease for another 2 years. Not only do we like where we live but anytime there has been a maintenance issue California Realty is on top of it immediately. All of their staff and contractors and very professional and courteous. We highly recommend them if you are looking for a place to rent.
